I think I ovulated on CD19. Due to DH work commitments we only managed SWI once but that was on CD19. I know a BFP is still possible but we did only do it once.

It's too early to test but I have all my hopes of a BFP running through my head and symptom spotting. My body has been cruel in the past though and got my hopes up only for AF to appear.

However, this evening I am feeling quite nauseous and have had feelings like ligament pulling in my abdomen. Also slightly tender boobs.

I'm 8dpo and just want the next week to be over so I know!!!

Feel better for getting that out!

Daiso · 09/03/2011 07:57

Thanks Emma

Good luck to you too Smile

fedupwelshmum · 09/03/2011 11:22

Hi Daiso well my AF has arrived well and truly today, am disappointed but looking forward to trying this month. Have bought the CB ovulation kit this month its expensive but its meant to be very good and pinpointing your good days so fingers crossed. I know how you feel I was convinced this month too, i was sure I had sore nipples, nausea and other symptons but must have imagined it. Its exciting and disappointing all at the same time but fingers crossed for us all :)

Daiso · 09/03/2011 15:27

fedup Sorry to hear about AF -the bugger that she is! Easier said than done, but take the opportunity to have a drink, eat loads of choc, be grumpy, and then get all ready for lots of SWI in the coming weeks

phooey · 09/03/2011 18:06

I'm planning a bottle of wine and tearful evening if AF arrives this month!

Anyone else on 12dpo up for testing yet? I have a 16 day luteal phase so it might be too early still Hmm

Daiso I so know what you mean about obsessing in first month of ttc - god help us if we take ages!

Daiso · 09/03/2011 20:19

Ok, one thing I'm still unsure about is what is a luteal phase and is it a good or bad thing to have a long one?

My stats are last AF started on 17th Feb, Smiley face on OV stick 1st Mar, AF due 16th April UCL 28 Days. How would I work out my LP?

phooey · 09/03/2011 22:29

Umm I'm not sure what physical stuff's going on exactly, but luteal phase is the length of time between ovulation and period. Most women it's 14 days, hence the default on most ovulation calculators is 14 days before AF.

Your AF came 15 days after ov so yours is 15 days. If you mean March not April?! Grin

Not sure if long's a good thing - not when waiting to POAS, I'm 12dpo today which for most would be 2 days before AF due so could test, but for me I have 4 days to go so should wait really... stop me POAS!!

phooey · 09/03/2011 22:32

Also apparently even if cycle length varies, luteal phase generally remains pretty constant.

I'm not using OPKs though, will splash out Grin on them if a couple of months go by with no joy. We just aimed for lots of sex when I had EWCM.

fedupwelshmum · 10/03/2011 15:17

Im on my 4th month of ttc the first 2 were kinda lets just see how it goes but we have just bought the CB ones as my cycle is around 31 days so will see this month what happens. Have AF now so am going to make the most of the weekend and start testing on day 7 - i have seen at least 7 pregnant women this week....its like a craze lol

marthamay · 11/03/2011 10:49

Hi there everyone, nice to know that I'm not alone in my symptom spotting craziness! Do you mind if I join this month?

I'm now about 9DPO and am totally over-analysing every little possible symptom. Today I am certain that I must have implantation cramping - but of course that could just be last night's tea....Hmm

This is my 3rd TTC cyle. I'm Breastfeeding my DS still my hormones are still not quite right but I think this last month I actually properly ov'd so that makes me a lot more hopeful.

GOing to resist testing for a little while though - if I can possibly help it.

good luck everyone.....!!!!!! Smile

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 14/03/2011 18:40

Hi All

So, I am back on the 2WW, hid in the corner after AF came last month, but have renewed optimism this month!

Stupid question alert - would 4/5DPO be too early to feel implantation cramps? (symptom spotting ahoy!)

Good luck everyone!

hartey · 28/03/2011 19:31

Hi all - update from hartey towers is that today I was 10 dpo - and had a BFP!!! Thrilled beyond words - fingers and toes crossed that all stays well and then we'll have an early december baby

goingmadtrying · 28/03/2011 23:36

Congrats Harvey Grin

Bumpwanted · 29/03/2011 17:34

MumTumWanted · 29/03/2011 21:02

congrats hartey thats fab news

ive been on the mcr threads but have been actively ttc fpr 2 cycles now since my mc in dec. I am currently DPO7 and sypmtom spotting like mad ( boobs defo sore when prodded , in white pants just in case, assessing level of nausea each morning etc etc Wink and obviosly considering when is reasonable to be poas ... mmmm perhaps tomorrow..... 8dpo someone slap me !!!! lol i know crazy !!!!

slightly not at all crazy ( said from another who thought id had same to Grin )

hartey · 30/03/2011 19:51

Interesting development - you decide?

Couldn't resist another test today so at lunch bought a single first response - and it says not pregnant!

Is it really true that a false positive is not very likely? Anyway will be using my final clearblue digital test with words and not lines in the morning!

MumTumWanted · 31/03/2011 12:26

hartey all tests have different levels of hcg sensitivity try not to mental worry too much and if you can hold on and use FMU tomorrow this would be your most accurate tests, Also was your first bfp on a cb digi ?

hartey · 31/03/2011 13:47

Yes MumTumWanted first BFP was on the c digi - and this morning another BFP so think I can accept it now!

eurochick · 31/03/2011 17:44

Hello ladies. I have been lurking around these threads for a while and the PCOS thread today prompted me to sign up!

Any thoughts on this?

We have not used any contraception for quite a while and been making more of a concerted effort to conceive for about 4 months.

One month in the past, I got implantation bleeding and then a few days later my period (I never ever get spotting before my period so I am as sure as I can be that is what it was).

Every one of the 4 "concerted effort" months, I have had loads of symptoms I don't usually get - strange feelings in lower abdomen, wet feeling, lightedhead/dizziness, etc. Followed by my period.

Now, either I'm imagining all this stuff (possible, but after more than 20 years of Pill-free periods - I took it briefly and it didn't agree with me - I know my body pretty well) or I am getting sperm to meet egg but something is repeatedly going wrong early on. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Thanks muchly.

heatherbee36 · 01/04/2011 08:19

I experienced something similar eurochick a couple of months ago. I had so many symptoms, as you describe the dizziness, light headedness, funny taste in the mouth and huge tender boobs that I never normally get before my period! (DP wasn't complaining!!) In short, I was CONVINCED I was pregnant but then AF came as usual.
It is so confusing!!

hope75 · 08/10/2011 13:36
