Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

nix I would love to but we're going to be away for about a week and in this weather I do not trust the pipes not to freeze and burst...in fact, given my luck in 2010, I would guarantee it!

DontEatOrangeSnow · 23/12/2010 14:58

Sorry I missed it earlier Wombat ((( hugs ))) sometimes despite everything its difficult to keep cheerful. It's certainly taking the effects Christmas a bit for me despite my efforts otherwise

Izzy oh no, I hope you have heating over the next few days [worried emoticon] Currys do an electric oil-filled for about 50 quid, did us right when ours broke last year

Back from doing his Xmas shopping, and he likes the necklace he bought me Xmas Grin It was so busy now I'm back and have a few hours baking in between eating my own body-weight in Roses

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 23/12/2010 14:59

and that would be just the icing on the cake Izz!

Our outside shower pipe froze, and we couldnt understand why it was flooding the bathroom!! DH set at it with the hairdryer...now working fine Xmas Grin

Ok have just been sat in floods of tears... having booked a private scan. I am so petrified of going for a scan because thats when MC was discovered its like i have a mental block on them. Cant get one until Jan 5th so thats that! £125 quid later also....Xmas Shock

lets hope its worth it :)

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 23/12/2010 15:06

(((( nix )))) you've got it booked now, so that's as much as you can do, just try to relax for now. God knows I would be exactly the same after my last scan, but there's nothing you can do about it and chances are it will be fine. It's frustrating to have to wait, but the upside is that you'll be further along and so should come away having seen everything and knowing you've got a really really good chance of everything going right from there xx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 23/12/2010 15:26

Thats what i was thinking! Theres always the epu if needed before hand - lets hope not !!

Right.... in need of some stodge.....Xmas Grin

youremindmeofthebaubles · 23/12/2010 15:40

Hey izz do you think your drippipe on boiler may be frozen?

its the one attatched into the boiler via a plastic pipe and sealed in with rubber. It's like a condensation overflow, but if the water in it freezes, then the boiler shuts down automatically to prevent problems. You can detatch it if you put a bucket underneath it.

youremindmeofthebaubles · 23/12/2010 15:43

Not that I am advocating this if you or DH is not very practical...could be expensive.Xmas Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 23/12/2010 15:59

Ha ha baubles neither of us are particularly practical!! The annoying thing is that between my dad and my uncles we've got a pipefitter, a plumber and a central heating engineer so if only we lived nearer my family we would be sorted!!

It is actually coming on (which is why we're not priority for a callout) but isn't turning on and off with the thermostat...so it's either full on or off. Contemplating leaving it on and facing the bill afterwards Xmas Shock

yeah nix you're right, any worries and you just get yourself straight up to epu x

orestyemerrywombat · 23/12/2010 16:13

Wow! YRMOTB our resident DIY plubing expert - who'd 'a thunk it?? I know where I'm coming next time I have a house disaster! Xmas Wink Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

What nightmare Izz! Hope you manage to get it fixed soon so you can get on your way.

Nix hugs lovely - hopefully this scan will be wonderful and banish all memories of previous horrid scans xxx

Thanks you so much all of you for your lovely thoughts and hugs Xmas Smile I'm trying to keep my chin up for Christmas (and then it's all going to get much better when we all get BFPs in the new year Xmas Wink Xmas Grin

orestyemerrywombat · 23/12/2010 16:14

Izz I think that's what I'd do! Xmas Grin

DontEatOrangeSnow · 23/12/2010 16:27

Nix I would do the same. and have the same anxieties after last time, at least you have something booked in now, fx it will reassure you all is ok x

MamaChristmas · 23/12/2010 17:49

Oh Nix don't cry, unless you're wearing waterproof mascara!! Xmas Grin Seriously hon, big hugs, everything will be fine, no more negative thoughts and stress please, it's not good for you and that means it's not good for baby, deep breaths and as I said to Dachs earlier...positive thinking!

Izz hope you get it fixed. Me and my dh are a bit useless in those type of circumstances, not quite as useless as the friend who called me at the weekend in floods of tears as her house flooded asking me where the stop 'clock' was...I pointed her in the direction of the stop 'cock'!!! Seriously impressed with your plumbing knowledge Baubles "can she fix it, yes she can"

Xmas Grin Orange gal after my own heart, enjoy your necklace Xmas Smile

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 23/12/2010 19:20

Cheers for the pep talk MC although i cannot remember the last time i wore mascara...such an old doggy now... WOOF! Xmas Grin Lucky if i get out the door with brushed hair these days Xmas Shock Xmas Grin

Suitably impressed with Bob Baublebabe also!!

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 23/12/2010 19:54

Hi All. I am feeling better today. Went to the docs - I have a chest infection and am on antibiotics. Given that my body has been a bloody temple for so long these drugs better work wonders. The Dr thinks there is a chance the infection may be linked to the cp I.e not sticking due to me being ill which sucks but is better than my body being completely up shit creek! We are off to Oz in Jan - so hopefully we can leave the black death behind and can plant healthy beans.

Goodluck Mouse so many have various discharge without it meaning the worst. Biggest hugs

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 23/12/2010 20:06

Sorry started my post hours ago and so much happens.

Thankfully dh is a bit of a whizz with anything practical as I'm hopeless! Hope it gets sorted soon Izz. We had a flood on our site today due to a burst pipe - thankfully we had moved all our stuff out of the garage which flooded!

Nix well done on booking the scan. It will be worth it.

MamaChristmas · 23/12/2010 20:32

AR glad you went to the doc's and I think a trip to Oz will be perfect, sun, sea and... Xmas Wink

We are off to Somerset tomorrow (will wave too AR and Izzy as we zip down the M5) to spend Christmas with my mum and dad, I might not get another opportunity to log in before xmas so I will wish you all a very very Merry Christmas now, see you all next week some time, hope you've all been good girls and Santa brings lots of goodies xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 23/12/2010 22:33

aandrmum Am pleased you went to docs and are feeling better - sorry about the cp news, that's so frustrating! Xmas Sad however the trip to Oz sounds great; hopefully it will be the start of a good new year for you (and bfps all round please!!!)

ChoccybicksXmasShortbread · 24/12/2010 01:24

Hellooooo ladies!!
Sorry I went AWOL for a week. Been terribly busy at work and running around like a headless chicken in my freetime.
I'm back in the UK - my sister now calls it Iceland. I wasn't sure if she was referring to the temperature or hopefully not what she's dishing up on Xmas day. Lol.

Had a mad journey through Germany, Holland, Belgium and France, a very rough sea and a white or rather green coloured DH. I lay down and slept. I'm knackered.

Now tucked up in hotel off m1/Luton. Classy premier inn baragin deal for 29 quid. I'm just happy for a good nights sleep and brekky in the morning. Then it'll be a long and hopefully not too mental journey up north to Geordieland. At least I've got winter tyres on my car.

Well I'm symptom spotting. Af should have been on 23rd...... I have the funny tummy signs but nothing. Neg POAS this morning but acc to ff I only ovd on day 18 or 17..... confused
fingers x for me please!!!!!!
Have no more POAS so if AF doesn't come I think I'll be a nervous heap on Xmas day. Maybe need to persuade dh we need to hit theshops on waytomorrow. Or ask my sis...... Who works in pharmacy if she can get me some 2moro. didn't really want to do that though even though she knows about or monthly shagathon ttc efforts.

So my lovelies. I'm apoogising for not name checking. I wish each and every one of you a lovely Christmas with positive thoughts and moments with our loved ones.
Merry Christmas!!!

Hope to pop in when I have Internet access ( my mum is an oap without it)

Xx choccy xx

ChoccybicksXmasShortbread · 24/12/2010 01:26

Sorry for apoogising and other typos. Silly iPhone.

DontEatOrangeSnow · 24/12/2010 05:20

Choccy that would be a lovely Christmas present! I hope your friend manages to get you one. Oh, and that your premier inn brekkie and journey home go ok Xmas Grin
AandR Oz sounds great, we went in Aug/Sept and came back with a bean Xmas Grin

I'm officially on CD38 and still nothing. I POAS just now and negative. I'm now sitting staring at the test and wee pot Xmas Blush I haven't thrown away yet wondering whether to use my CB Digital as this was Internet cheapie, or whether to bother?!

Oh yeah, Santa's coming tonight!!! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

DontEatOrangeSnow · 24/12/2010 05:40

I used the CB Digital and was so uninspired I left it and went off. Came back to a BFP!! 1-2 weeks Xmas Grin Now I don't know what that means as I threw the instructions away in a strop last time. I really had given up too

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 24/12/2010 06:37

orange whoop whoop whoop whoop Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin that is fabulous news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bloody hell it's about time someone got some frigging decent news round here! I was wondering if you had cheapies-when I was thinking about buying them I looked at the reviews on amazon and quite a few people have had same experience as you and are warning people off them.... Wow, Christmas prezzie and a half!!

chocs nice to hear from you mate! I'm only s few miles south of you at the mo!! I was just thinking that pee sticks is pretty much the one thing that service stations don't sell. Defo stop on way and get some. Really hope for some good news for you too hun.

dachs work buddy! Nave s good day today matey. Sorry about consultant letter, I agree with everything mamac the voice of calm says though, prove him wrong!! I need to carry mamac round in my pocket all day so that she can talk sense into me when I'm being weird, which sadly is a lot more again this month stupid pee stick grrr

I freaked DH out last night-we'd gone out got dinner and all was lovely until massive preg woman and hubby came in and sat nearby and then spent all evening rubbing her belly and writing suggested baby names in her little book Xmas Sad DH was oblivious to this until he was getting radio silence from me because I was too busy staring At her wondering why they were on their table being all excited and smug and I was on my table wondering why it's not the other way round for us Xmas Sad sigh.

Anyway have safe drives everyone and have a lovely Christmas and new year!! Next year HAS to be better for all of us..... Enjoy all the cake and choccies cos theyre all going to be replaced by rabbit food in this room next year! Detox tactic! Whoop! Xxxxx

kat2504 · 24/12/2010 06:46

orange!!!!! congratulations am thrilled for you. What a fantastic Xmas!! 1-2 weeks means since conception therefore 3-4 weeks in the normal preg counting system. This means you are less than 15 dpo? Anyway the weeks thing is not an exact science because of the huge variation in hormone levels.

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 24/12/2010 09:06

orange !!!! Whoop whoop whoop!!! What fab news!!! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

youremindmeofthebaubles · 24/12/2010 10:28

Woohoo orange! that's fabe news!!

Hope you all have lovely xmasses, I'm off soon to do the rounds and likely as not won't be back till around the 29th. Will try and pop in if I can.

Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas. I'm gonna enjoy the bubbly
