Ladies from Vol4 - welcome to our new home.

Oops - Sunday, not Synday - I have slimming world on my mind Blush

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 18/03/2011 17:32

brettgirl - I think Keziah is the expert, but to answer a bit:
1 - The two lines would indicate that it has picked up some LH,but the machine reads the level so probably as it is the first cycle it is not high enough for it to read it as a definite surge
2 - CBFM reads both oestrogen and the LH surge - you get a high from the oestrogen then the peaks with the LH surge.
3 - It does take a couple of cycles so that it can work out what is high levels for you - mine took until this cycle to give me peaks (but I am PCOS, so only worked this month as been given meds).
4 - Missing a test doesn't matter too much as long as it's not around ovulation (likely) time.

Broody it's always worth a go - get SWI!!!

Ilovekittyelise · 18/03/2011 17:45

broody - you probably ovulated yesterday (i usually ovulated second peak day) so there's a slim chance that the egg is still lurking tonight; however, sperm can last up to 5 days so there's also a chance that sunday's sperm could have fertilised the egg; annoying time for peaks when hes away; not a great month for you timing wise but you could be lucky x

brettgirl2 · 19/03/2011 08:20

Thanks - that's really helpful.

Bizarrely I have a peak today, despite doing an internet cheapie OPK yesterday and not getting ANY reading on it at all Hmm

Oh well, will give it a go anyway Grin

tillydream · 19/03/2011 09:54

keziah I have everything crossed for you - it sounds like its going well so for. i've been there and the best piece of advice is to be kind to yourself as much as possible.

Olismum so sorry to hear your news (((())))) Hope that you find support and tlc on here to help you.

I tested at day 25 and unsurprisingly got a BFN - stupid stupid stupid!! Why do I do that to myself! Day 27 today no sign either way though :((((

Love to all

Tilly xx

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 19/03/2011 18:04

tilly I think we are at the same point in the cycle - I'm also day 27 - have somehow managed to resist the urge to test thus far (been symptom spotting like crazy)

Am planning to wait until Monday - have the usual background thoughts that AF will arrive tomorrow night though!

FX!

SBC - good answer, though KC is the real expert!! I have just been here the longest now I think!

essenceofSES · 19/03/2011 21:01

tilly and SBC - fingers crossed for the next few days for you!

brettgirl - I don't find OPKs as reliable as CBFM. The window when they show a positive result can be really narrow.

Olismum - sorry for your mc. I had 2mmc before I had DS and know how traumatic it can be. Good luck for your Christmas baby!

Hello everyone else :)

I finally got my first high of this cycle today (CD15) and had SWI last night so I guess that's a start!

Missyraines · 20/03/2011 09:03

Hi girls

Sorry for the long time no posts from me but I was really trying to not 'obsess' about things.

My news is that after seeing my GP for bloods and a smear and all coming back fine and hubby having his little swimmers tested which were again fine, I was referred to my local hospital. She told me to get day 2 bloods done and an x-ray of my bits to check his bits were reaching my bits! So there I was waiting for AF so I could make the appointment but she didn't come on day 32. I'm also charting BBT and this has remained high since ovulating. So I did some research on the internet and it said this could be a sign. I tested and

I GOT MY BFP!!!!!! Smile

I can hardly believe it. Early days still so lots of caution but after nearly 2 years of trying it came.

I'm so happy but scared in case it doesn't stick. So girls, I may be leaving this forum and going to the next stage along. Thanks for all your comments, support and humour along the way. Hope to see lots of you over in the pregnancy rooms soon.

Hugs and best wishes to each and every one of you. Missyraines.

Hi Missy - big congratulations to you. Why don't you come and join us on the CBFM graduates thread which you'll find on the Ante-natal clubs section x

Missyraines · 20/03/2011 16:55

Btw my BFP was yesterday. Thanks girls, I'll look forward to seeing you all on the cbfm graduates. X

Lychees · 20/03/2011 17:52

Missy ... Congrats!!! A BFP after two years gives me some hope. Hope you have a H&H nine months.

Lychees · 20/03/2011 17:53

Good luck, Keziah.

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 20/03/2011 18:36

Congratulations Missy hope to join you soon! x

Good Luck this week Keziah

Tilly have you succumbed to any more tests, or is AF looming?

I'm really not sure, may have had a brownish spot today (sorry TMI), which would be normal AF, but no cramping yet. Since meds and reflexology the cramping seems bearable - didn't even take any painkillers last month - normally I'd be on the cocodamol from the off!

FX everyone!

boba82 · 21/03/2011 09:48

Congratulations missy! Smile

Lychees how are you?

Keziah did anythting happen over weekend?

Good luck to all those on the 2ww.

Loup23 · 22/03/2011 13:11

Great news for missy yay!!!

Had a scan at the EPU today and it looks like all is fine so just hoping I get a peak this month although no idea when that might be - hopefully CBFM will start asking me to POAS tomorrow.... Hope this month is lucky for all of us Grin x

AnytimeNOW · 22/03/2011 14:38

Glad scan was ok Loup23 always better when things settle themselves without any medical intervention, and you can just crack on!
You may find you ovulate a bit later, or like me not at all the month following a loss Confused.

But on a positive note I concieved this baby in the second month after loss, so basically had one period and everything went back to normal and bang on time! (highs, peaks and ovulation) wishing you all the luck in the world...thinking of you X

Waves to everybody, good luck ladies X

More confusion with my cycle now - 2nd month of getting to 31 days before AF - this does give me a 14 day LP, but when you are waiting for further blood tests and impending IUI very frustrating Confused Also 2 BFNs suggest that AF is on her way Sad
