By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Oh god Nelly stay indoors and Christmas shop online. It is brass monkeys today. Mind you, my strongest early pg symptom apart from crazy sense of smell seems to be 'extreme sensitivity to cold'. Last night I ended up wearing skirt, vest, jumper, pyjama bottoms, knee length socks, giant hoody and slippers, and was still freezing.

BrassicaBabe I think nipple sensitivity to cold is a well recognised pg thing too. My friend had it so badly that she used to have to dip her breasts in a sink full of hot water when she got in from work Grin

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 26/11/2010 14:07

DarkStar - i refer you to my post above your Wink

GO OUTSIDE!! Go shopping in the real shops!

actually, if you're going to shop online, go to www dot nickelbooks dot co dot uk Wink
Grin

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 26/11/2010 14:09

I've been outside today, once was enough Grin

Do love your website though and will likely be purchasing something from there :)

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 26/11/2010 14:28
Grin

thanks!

(and sorry for the shameless plug Blush )

NervousNelly · 26/11/2010 14:30

Too many choices!!

Right have spent too long on laptop, so am now going to go out. I'm getting that familiar but unwelcome "panic" I get when I've had time off and have to go back to work. No matter what I've done, it feels like I just wasted it all :(

Right going to go and do some weeding for a bit, physical labour always makes me feel better. Then nip to shops, buy a couple of things and wrapping paper, then come back and do my internet shopping when it's dark.

Oh good, a plan Grin

BrassicaBabe · 26/11/2010 15:45

I find myself being a little Hmm ATM on this thread Me thinks she has bought clomid off the t'inter-web HmmGrin

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 26/11/2010 16:08
Hmm Confused
takethatlady · 26/11/2010 16:30

Oh dear. Does look like it bb. Naughty OP.

nickeldonkey you are one of many on this thread from Kent (can't remember if you were one of the ones who owned up to this before). I'm from Margate though I don't live there anymore. My mum and step-dad live near there and DH's family live in Broadstairs. My step-sister lives in Sittingbourne - I'll direct her to your shop! Looks lovely!

Did you get out nervous? I have stayed in feeling sorry for myself all day, eating twiglets and rich teas and then seeing how long it takes for them to come back up.

vallinna you are a braver lady than me Shock!

SingingMog · 26/11/2010 16:44

My nipples always ping out when it is cold. I have to make sure I wear padded bras, especially at school!! Don't really hurt though unless boobs are sore.

Sounds like you have had quite a gross day TTL. I hope not that many of them came back up Sad

Hope you have managed to do something exciting Nervous Smile

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 26/11/2010 16:48

thank you takethatlady I shall scrutinise all future customers! Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 26/11/2010 17:06

Vallinna that's okay. I'm from NZ but despite the fact my ancestory is about 95% British, I seem to be missing the tea gene. Except for when I'm upduff, then I find myself wanting to drink the damn stuff. I refuse to though, much to DHs disgust! (hehe)

Nickel I went out this afternoon, but beyond getting some food I wish we'd stayed home TBH. It's no fun being freezing cold in public with a screaming child who only wants Daddy.

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 26/11/2010 17:21

aww, :( nmcb .

you'll have to brace yourself, though , this cold snap is only going to get worse!

this time next week you'll be thinking 1degree C is "mild and clement" Grin

NervousNelly · 26/11/2010 18:47

Yes I did go out, went out and did a bit of weeding (wildlife friendly weeding, which is my excuse for leaving all the messy bits). Then my feet were frozen, so I went and stood on my muck heap Grin. Really! But only so I could dig in to it and get some of the well-rotted stuff for the garden. But it's warmer on top of there than in the house when the weather is cold. I wish I could figure out how to syphon the heat it produces in to my house :(

Anyway I then got the call I've been waiting for all week - my car was back :) :) :) (for those of you who weren't paying attention, it broke down near Inverness last week and wasn't fixed in time for our return to the Burg. I've been fighting with Audi all week that it's their job to get it back to me as it's under warranty. They relented so I went to pick it up). Got in it, smiling away, noticed the frozen windscreen, turned on the fans, and - NADA. They weren't working. Angry. Were they having a GIRAFFE??? < seriously fucked off emoticon>

Stropped back into the showroom, bless them they fixed it in record time, it was just a blown fuse. So finally got my lovely car home (via Tesco to buy wrapping paper, probably not the high-street supporting that Nickel was after Blush ).

Car all tucked up in garage now (I seem to be quite in love with it, weirdo that I am). Fire on, mince pies and gingerbread latte at my side. Wine warming by fire as I think it's a bit early to crack it open, no?

Sorry for the long essay post! Oh does anyone else have a message above the typing screen saying they are unable to use special characters?

takethatlady · 26/11/2010 19:05

I've got the message too nervous

PMSL and then PMSL some more at your car shenanigans Grin

Glad you got it sorted without cutting their necks off Grin

NervousNelly · 26/11/2010 19:32

It was a close call TTL Grin. Yesterday I used the time honoured tactic of turning up in the showroom and started mouthing off about how rubbish the car was and how the customer service was a joke, in front of a few would-be buyers. Works every time.

Actually to be fair, once I got to speak to a manager that had some clout, it was resolved almost immediately. And I still fucking luuurve my beautiful shiny car :). The plus side of all these fixed-under-warranty issues is they keep valeting it for me. Result.

Wine is now open. It wasn't as early as I first thought Wink.

Dynababy · 26/11/2010 20:22

BB could the 3lb be poo!? Or are you OK on that front now?? Pants about doc.

Nervous loving your options for today, hope you chose wisely! Good luck with the egg nog and jsing!

Miffles yeh for the start of clomid!!

vallinnapod · 26/11/2010 22:17

Hey ladies - I hope all is good this evening.

I have been upped to 100 whatevers of Puregon as nada waking my ovaries! Scan and bloods on Monday.

Just plodding along! Off to the Rugby tomorrow so that should thoroughly freeze my eggs!

takethatlady · 27/11/2010 08:39

Impressed at nervous's tactics. I usually just do the passive agressive 'I am narked but I'm going to stay on the moral high ground' thing and don't get anywhere. Am always way too embarrassed to make a fuss and end up paying for stuff I know I haven't had. Wimp!

vallinna I reckon the rugby will get them started. Do lots of shouting and hollering and jumping up and down - that should kick 'em into life!

It has snowed here (Cambridge) a little tiny bit - just a dusting on everything but enough to make me think it's time to go Christmas shopping and start scoffing mince pies.

Don't even feel sick this morning, so going to stuff my face while I still can Smile

BrassicaBabe · 27/11/2010 10:23

I find myself in the odd position of still being in bed, but very bored. And somehow still cannot drag my arse out of bed Hmm

Miffles · 27/11/2010 10:54

Morning all,

I'm back and had a fab time. Grin Wore the dress and looked gorgeous. Had my hair done a la Cheryl Cole (DH was v impressed) and danced like a good un. And DH's boss offered to put us up at the hotel, a Marriott, which was great! Meant we stayed up and drinking til 2am, then fell into bed. Only downside was I had nothing else - so slept in DH's undershirt, couldn't clean teeth or face, had to blag more tampons from the receptionist, and had to put on the cocktail dress and heels again this morning! The hair (without hairbrush) did last surprisingly well.

And it's proper snowing here in my little corner of South East England (another Kentish viroid!). Gotta go out and get veg for the Thanksgiving meal.

Enjoyed reading the chat from yesterday. Nelly - time off is strange, cos we're programmed to always be productive and struggle to justify taking time to relax. But it is important.
Vallinna - sorry your ovaries are so sluggish. FX for the higher dose.

TTL - do you teach at Cambridge, like Uni, like for super clever people?

OP posts:
SingingMog · 27/11/2010 11:21

Glad you had a good time Miffles, even though you had to wear same clothes the next day!

Nervous I am v impressed about your car-sorting-out tactics. I will use them if anything happens to mine Smile. Loving the thought of mince pies and gingerbread latte. Do you make it from scratch or can you buy a gingerbread latte mix type product?

[awww face] for NMCB about having to go out in the freezing cold with a screaming child. We are firmly inside the house under a duvet on the sofa. DH has slanket on again! I am still cold tho Sad. It is quite sunny here in Preston, but icey and freezing. No snow (as yet).

BB blame the cold for your lack of motivation to get up. Sometimes it is just nice to be in bed.

Vallinna watching rugby will be v cold... take some of those hand-warmer things! Hope the new dose does some waking.

nickel, I hope it won't get worse, but I know it prob will. Trying not to think about it!

Yay for not feeling sick, TTL! Hope it lasts.

I did have a message saying that special characters couldn't be used but it has gone again this morning.

Not much going on here as too cold Wink. Cat keeps asking to go out and as soon as I shut the door he immediately wants to come back in. It must be cold!

NervousNelly · 27/11/2010 12:15

mog, OH persuaded me a few months ago that we "needed" a coffee machine. So I make the latte with that, and add Gingerbread syrup bought from Starbucks. The mincepies are from Tesco homemade, naturally Wink.

Snow arrived last night. Just an inch but am glad I got my car back as it's 4wd. It's so gorgeous here today :)

Have wrapped the presents already bought. Going to go out soon and buy rock salt plus a few pressies, then home to do the Internet stuff. And maybe make a snowman Grin.

Miffles am very impressed with your 2am sesh and consequential "walk of shame" in last nights outfit. Respect.

SingingMog · 27/11/2010 12:42

Right, might go out into Preston later and get some syrup. Thanks Nervous!

Just saw that someone across the road has put out some Christmas decorations. Might go to cash & carry and go Crimbo crazy Grin

We moved in about 18 months ago and still not really talked to neighbours, which makes me feel a bit bad. Not sure how to approach them now really. Any suggestions welcome!

Wonder if MN will do Christmas smileys...?!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 27/11/2010 14:33

at BB's 3lb poo Grin

Am now very deservedly sitting in front of the fire, enjoying the white view out my window. DS has been learning the hard way that when he takes his gloves off and puts his hands in snow, his hands get so cold they hurt!

Good work Miff's! Grin

I'm off to a pyjama party tonight and it's occured to me that that's the best type of party for me to be going to, because pj's are the only trousers I feel comfy in at the moment. Wonder how long my secret will stay secret for Hmm

vallinnapod · 27/11/2010 18:04

Thawing out from rugby! Love all your lazy days. Had planned a lie in but DH surprised me by getting an early flight home so he scared the shit out of me (BB take note Wink) at 9am! Still nice to see him!

Had to go to clinic today was my Puregon cartridge was meant to be empty after last nights jab but there was at 100 left in it...nurse wasn't hugely helpful but got a new pen. Frustrating to waste drugs but maybe that's why progress was slow?!
