By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

At least they get to see the light vallinna, must make swimming around a bit easier!!

Truffkin · 21/12/2010 13:55

Hi Viroids, ERTD got me this morning. 5 days early, extra heavy and painful just to put the boot right in. I'm wallowing right now but am determined to suck it up and have a great Christmas. I am hoping that spending the whole day with my pg SIL and the 2 existing (cute!) kids will not send me over the edge. Am hatching a plan involving lots of alcohol. Aaaaaaargh.

NoMoreSnowPlease · 21/12/2010 14:51

Oh Truff sorry nasty ol'ERTD got you. Good plan with the booze though.

And Miffs don't lose hope yet. How did the appt go?

Xmas Grin at all your crazy egg/sperm conversations. My egg/sperm combo conversation is going something like
note to self that warm squashy thing down there is Mummy's bladder and those things up there are her rins. Hurry up and grow legs!!!

JosieSmith1 · 21/12/2010 21:01

PMSL at the egg/sperm/baby conversations Xmas Grin

Sorry to hear that Truff, bad timing or what! Hope it's not too hard seeing pg SIL and kids over xmas

Not much to update here - feeling loads better about work and enjoyed xmas lunch to prove it (we all bring a little something in and it turns into a great spread).

I'm on the lookout for some freezable recipes as I don't have the time or energy to cook when I get in, any suggestions greatly appreciated, bearing in mind I'm a very fussy eater Xmas Blush

NervousNelly · 21/12/2010 21:51

Hi all. Just quickly checking in on phone. Thanks again for your sympathies, you're a lovely bunch of viroids!

PMSL at all the random conversation. My spermies are probably going " I'm faaaaadddding, I'm ddyyyinnng. Eggy hurry the fuck up". Better persuade OH to inject some freshers up there Xmas Grin.

Posting on phone drives me nuts so to all. I'll do an early Happy Christmas to those who are going to be Internet-less!

NoMoreSnowPlease · 21/12/2010 22:05

rins? I hope no one ever finds those!? I meant ribs.

SleepyCaz · 21/12/2010 22:51

Hello Viroids.

Have been half lurking, half madly preparing for Xmas and a little bit in bed for a few days.

Bleeding kept up and got very nasty pains too.
Went to EPAC where they scanned me, and found the heartbeat had gone. :( The next few days the bleeding was awful. DH did school runs inbetween working, and friend had DD at her house so slept a lot and just sort of moped around.

Still bleeding now, but not much. EPAC said to go for another scan when it stops, if not everything has come away, they will do an ERPC.

Had been TTC-ing since July, with a history of endometriosis, and this is my third MC, so they have booked me for a laporoscopy on the 5th Jan. They will do a dye test of my tubes while they're in there.

Hope everyone is doing well and I am going to catch up with the thread tomo while I wrap some presents. We're a bit snowed in so not going out.

Merry Xmas Viroids x

JosieSmith1 · 22/12/2010 09:07

Aw Caz, so sorry to hear that ((hugs)) Hope the laparoscopy goes well and you get some answers soon

I've got the lurgy today. I could feelit niggling in my throat yesterday but I've been up all night with it scratching and now I feel rotten. My head is banging and my throat is really scratchy and I'm knackered [feel sorry for self emoticon]Xmas Grin

vallinnapod · 22/12/2010 09:52

Josie - fussy what way? I freeze pretty much everything.... Grin

Oh Sleepy sorry to hear about the MC. I hope that the NY brings you luck and answers xxxx

News here...none...still no pooing in the 'Pod household Confused I have realised this fascination with my bowels has meant I have hardly thought about the 2WW! Until today, I may suggest to DH we get a 2WW advent calendar for the final 8 days...he must give me a present on each day, if these are good enough I will give him a baby or two! [Grin]

santababy2b · 22/12/2010 10:53

Sleepy really sorry you have had such a crap time. Lots of tlc and some nice vino are needed I think.

Vallinna Love the present count down idea, lol. I think I have been reading mumsnet too much! At half three this morning muttered something about stomach cramps to DH, he was worried and was trying to ask if I was ok when he realised I was still asleep...I then said it's ok I just have bad wind!? Blush Don't remember any of this!

vallinnapod · 22/12/2010 10:57

Ladies - I have pooed....I was a geniunely exciting moment and possibly the highlight of my week, if not month or year.

Carry on.

santababy2b · 22/12/2010 10:59

pmsl Xmas Grin

nickeldonkeybethlehemsinsight · 22/12/2010 12:43

Sad i'm sorry Caz. Sad

escapeartist · 22/12/2010 13:14

Sleepy so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself (and let others look after you too!)

Vallinna great news... Xmas Grin Love your idea of the 2ww advent calendar. Now... if only I could persuade DH to do this every month!

PMSL about the egg and sperm conversations. I am trying to get some of my own going, but I am so confused this month. My cycle has gone to 35 days in the last 4 months, with ov happening on day 20 (pant snot and opk confirmed) yet today I have masses of pant snot and only on day 12. Could it be that I am ov'ing early? Should I get Mr Escape on the job? HOw many days to you usually get pant snot for?

Anyway, self obsessed and pant obsessed, I have also convinced myself that I have a ovarian cyst so probably out this month. Already planning to go see my gynae after the festive season to discuss why my eggs and Mr Escape's sperm are not having conversations like the ones above...

JosieSmith1 · 22/12/2010 13:16

Yippee Vallinna!! Xmas Grin I'm fussy in that I don't eat anything healthy, don't much like veg, or fruit, or bits in anything (like tomato) Xmas Blush

PMSL B2B Xmas Grin

vallinnapod · 22/12/2010 14:27

LOL Josie....my staples there! Ummm, you could freeze a cow, or a sheep?!

santababy2b · 22/12/2010 14:52

Josie I'm all about my slow cooker. You just throw everything into it in the morning and it's ready for you getting home. I can't think of anything I freeze that doesn't involve veg....veg free Lasagna or spag bol?

SingingMog · 22/12/2010 17:19

So sorry Sleepy :( Hope you are getting all the support you need.

Josie I freeze chilli mainly. Just make it in the pyrex and then let it cool down and put in the freezer. Hope you feel better soon. Really fancy getting a slow cooker though santab2b, are they convenient?

Your cycle sounds hard to follow escape I read that ovulation usually occurs around the time you see your last lot of fertile fluid, but who knows?! Liking all the sperm/egg/bean convos!

Glad to hear you have managed a poo vallinna Grin

Grr to ERTD Truffkin.

Snow still ballsing up all the roads around here. Just managed to get DH to unpack all the shopping cos we just brought it in and I sat straight down to look on MN!! He has done it all!! Need to remember this for future...

santababy2b · 22/12/2010 19:06

Singingmog I love it for cooking as you can do everything in it from stews to curries, though it does take up a lot of counter space.

I know this is probably a stupid question...is it ok to take a bath in early pregnancy as long as it isn't too hot?

santababy2b · 22/12/2010 20:39

I have just realised that as I leave tomorrow to go to the inlaws for Christmas and New Year, this is my last post this year!

I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas and New Year and that all goes well on the 30th Vallinna.

milanomum · 23/12/2010 11:21

Ladies! Where are you all?

sleepycaz so sorry to hear about your awful news. Hope you get the right support, it's a horrible thing to go through, but at this time of the year it seems especially awful.

santab i think baths are fine, just don't boil yourself! Happy Christmas to you too!!

Truffs The fecker. But now you really can overdo the whole 'merry' christmas thing and drink till you fall over and such other fun things.

Josie What do you eat??!! pureed everything?! Wink

Escape if there's pant snot - go for it!!!!!! sounds like you have an unpredictable cycle...

Vallinna proud of the poo. Well done! you are remarkably calm and collected - I'd be a fecking maniac.

I'm chugging along, planning christmas dinners and lunches (we do the 24th night (Italian style) and 25th (British style) so there's lots to do!

JosieSmith1 · 23/12/2010 12:04

Milano pretty much pureed everything! I am ashamed to admit I sieve most sauces to get out the tomatoey or other bits! Xmas Blush
Although I have agreed to peas and bits of carrot to add to lasagne and shepherds pie (god knows how my kids will turn out!) and a banana a day to get me some vit B6 which is what I need apparently.

Slow cooker sounds good, Mam always used to use hers and swore by it. I've got some good ideas so thanks to everyone

vallinnapod · 23/12/2010 12:09

Morning all and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to those of on travels xx

Milano I have no idea either why I am so zen. As weird as it sounds this isn't as random as normal 2WW. There is/has been a fertilised egg in there it's just hoping it sticks. Does that make sense? Doesn't really to me!!

I've broken up now but rushing around today - finally for a brazilian and leg wax amongst other things!! No one has been near my bits for a full week so they are feeling a bit unloved Wink

NervousNelly · 23/12/2010 16:29

Caz so sorry to hear that. I hope you get some answers soon :)

Maybe you should try Josie's purée diet vallina, to avoid further bunged-up-ness Xmas Grin. Great news on the poo!

I am due a kipper for a spectacular JS fail last night. Went to bed knowing we really needed fresh swimmers, but suggested it to OH very tentatively, followed by very swiftly pointing out it was sooooo cold that I didn't mind if we gave it a miss :(. Idiot that I am as have had pant snot. Mind you he then Made me laugh by saying it was so cold he might not have any visible equipment that was up for the job Xmas Grin!

Will try again tonight but think today is to late. Ah well, Christmas can be drunken at least!

NervousNelly · 23/12/2010 16:31

Oh FFS stupid phone. Caz that was meant to be a sad face, not an insensitive smile. Sorry :(
