By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

Miffles · 19/11/2010 17:18

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Oh, meant to add...BB good to have you back. Can totally understand why you're feeling the way you are. I wonder sometimes if I'm so determined to have a baby because pg is alluding me and I hate failing at anything.

On another note, got very strange aches and almost pains low down today. Worse when I go to the loo....like I need to do a big poo, but nothing. Worse on my right side. Could this be ovulation? Today is CD17 - surely I should have ov'd by now on the clomid?

Truffkin · 11/12/2010 12:43

Afternoon viroids, has taken me a whole to catch up with everyone!

Caz I'm so sorry to hear your news, hope you are getting the support you need

Santa and Eskarina congratulations! Very excited to have more BFPs in here.

Vallinna I can imagine you must be excited and apprehensive in equal measures for Monday. You've invested so much into preparing and E day is almost here! Wishing you the very very best of luck for a successful harvest Grin

Nervous totally hear you on wanting to put off PIAR/OAS until after wine consumption! Logically I know that the baby doesn't share bloods until at least week 6 but I think once you actually know you are upduffed, it would be difficult not to feel guilty. Let us know when you have news.

Miffles nice work, you appear to have covered all bases this month! I was a bit annoyed with us, as after all of the joint planning, Mr T was too tired for any action on Wednesday and Thursday! I was expecting OV yesterday but temp stayed down this morning so could be today. We SFF last night (as thought was too late to have any intent!) so if my temp rises tomorrow that could have been very well timed Smile

Right then, we're off to finish Christmas shopping this afternoon as we have a hectic weekend of socialising next week and the following week it's Chriiiiiiiiiiiistmaaaaaaaaaas Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 11/12/2010 14:44

I'd be looking forward to Christmas if there were more people shopping here - my takigns for the last 3 days are half of what they werethese days last year.

I can't see there being a last minute rush, and I'm gettign worried. :(

NoMoreSnowPlease · 11/12/2010 15:30

Oh Nickel I'd love to buy some books from you, but DS has been destroying books this week (my old Quentin Blake nursery rhyme book last night. I was LIVID!) so none for him for a while. Hope things pick up for you though.

I'm dreading Christmas this year for several reasons and this morning I had to admit to one of my sisters that we can't afford to buy anyone other than DS presents this year. She'd just sent me money to buy pg clothes with and I can only send her a card (I don't normally spend much on my family due to postage etc, but this is the first time I can't manage even a token gift).

It's not all doom and gloom here though, honest.

vallinnapod · 11/12/2010 15:47

Firstly Sleepy :( I am so sorry. Can't imagine how you feel :(

Thanks for the congrats to my ovaries viroids! Still awaiting my instructions for jabbing tonight and then the protocol for Monday!

I am meant to be going to the horse show at London Olympia (to sit and watch you understand Wink on Friday...wondering if that is still going to be possible? The majority of my social engagements involve sitting and watching something or sitting and eating something - both of which I would do at home. I see it as a good cab excuse!! Obviously I will completely play it by ear. I have a feeling that come embryo transfer all I will want to do is lie on my back with my legs in the air (crossed, of course!)

Esk glad your bean saved you from the dildocam - although as Queen of them I can assure you they are absolutely nothing to worry about!

Santababy it is actually my incorrect spelling so no apologies!!

Miffles after EC, provided they get some eggs out, they then grow everything in a dish for between 2 and 5 days and see what happens. Some will not fertilise and those that do are graded according to quality (will have to google that again!) Then hopefully I will have enough so that 2 can be put back and any others frozen. Good shagging efforts! I echo what you say about you Mum...I am so selfish I am hoping that is going to change!!

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 11/12/2010 15:52

oooohhhh, tell him I said that he shouldn't treat books like that! Xmas Angry (you have my permission to tell him that the book shop lady says santa doesn't come to book destroyers Wink )
obviously, this threat does depend on how old he is! Xmas Grin

:( on your christmas. don't worry, it'll all get better - have you thought about making her something?

JosieSmith1 · 11/12/2010 18:25

ERTD got me. Fuckin fed up excuse the french! 2 top it I hav pmt and 2nite I hav 2 go to a family party (DH's not mine) and it will not b fun. Horrible weekend

JosieSmith1 · 11/12/2010 18:30

Oh Caz I'm so so sorry, I wish there was somethin I cud do 2 make u feel better. Hugs xx

Truffkin · 11/12/2010 21:45

Josie sorry about ERTD and the premenstrualness! Hopefully the party will be a good excuse to get nice and drunk to drown thoses sorrows.

NickelBack did you post your website on a previous thread? I can't seem to find it but if you point me in the right direction I'll definitely have a sqizz at your wares. I buy books for all of the children we buy for every year, no matter what else they get as I've always loved reading and like to share my favourite hobby. I'll be buying for mainly 2-3 year olds, with a 4, 7 and 11 thrown in for good measure so if you have recommendations, happy to hear them!

Vallinna soooooo exciting for you now, I'd be simply bursting with anticipation. Hope you can do the things you've planned, surely if you're not exerting yourself you'd be ok? They really shouldn't get between a viroid and her food Grin

SingingMog · 11/12/2010 23:15

Huge hugs to SleepyCaz. Really feeling for you xxx

Josie, hope the party is not as awful as you thought and sorry to hear about ERTD.

Vallinna - E-Day is almost here - so exciting! Feel sorry for you being a human pincushion tho. Well done for still being supportive to DH.

My niece and nephews are book destroyers too NoMore, it drives me potty. Maybe when they're a bit older and less destructive I will get them some! I like your idea Nickel but not sure how they would take it if I told them Santa wasn't coming!

Santa - whoop for the BFP! And glad to hear yours is getting less faint Eskarina.

Not much news here. Totally knackered (one week left to go at school) but managing lots of JSing. Had slight cramp on right this morning and decided it might be oving, but then realised that it would be too early. Still, a good excuse to JS. What was that about us not trying this month so I could drink over the holidays.... hmmm.....!

Oh LOL, cat squatted and started peeing over one of DH's fave shirts this morning (he had left it on the floor). Was quite amusing to see DH pick him up and run down the stairs with him wearing only a towel; then he flung him out of the front door (thankfully without losing the towel) Xmas Grin. Naughty cat!

NervousNelly · 12/12/2010 00:03

Evening all. Been out most of the day doing a 300 mile round trip, then x-factor final and now watching Tremors (and annoying OH by quoting all the lines :))

Anyway I did get as far as PIAR last night. But then I wiped and had first signs of spotting, so emptied my ramekin down the loo. That's a weird moment, I can tell you!But I couldn't face the BFN :( Was still holding out hope today but am now on CD1. Angry.

Ah well - at least I don't have to lie over Christmas. Josie and I are clearly cycle buddies for next month :)

JosieSmith1 · 12/12/2010 09:35

Yes Nelly we can keep each other slightly sane next month! Sorry it got u 2

Party was ok but loads of kids so rubbed salt in the wound. I'm really disappointed this time round. Was newborn right up 2 full grown kids, everyone there had or had had kids except us and DH's younger bro. Was actually quite upsetting, I was lookin at the parent's wonderin wot they have that I don't and worrying that somethin might b 'wrong' with us Xmas Sad oh well, jst gotta try again next time

Hope everyone is ok 2day x

vallinnapod · 12/12/2010 10:55

Awh Nelly and Josie I am sorry you were got

takethatlady · 12/12/2010 11:17

Aw sorry josie and nelly. Don't worry josie, these things just take time for some of us (and for lots of us on here). Remember the thread title - you'll get there!

Thinking of sleepycaz and hoping she's okay, and bb too.

miffles and vallinna sounds like you have lovely mums :) I'm sure you'll be lovely mums too! GOOD LUCK TOMORROW vallinna!

I am Shock today because:

  1. somebody sent me a private message on MN that was pretty angry Shock - it's from the thread about mutton or lamb, and this particular person said that women who are 39 and wear short skirts are dressing like 'sluts'. Everyone went mental (not me) and she got really arsey and didn't understand why people were annoyed, and I said I thought it was just because she had used such an aggressive word as 'slut', and then said just generally that my mum is 50 and stunning and there are loads of famous women of all ages who wear short skirts and look gorgeous. I wasn't attacking her or being personal at all - I wasn't even involved! Then messaged me to tell me not to 'stick my nose in'! Xmas Shock. Grrr....
  1. Did anyone else think that Rihanna and Christina Aguilera were a bit saucy for 8.30pm on X Factor last night? Feeling like a right old lady, but really - wearing a bra and knickers and slapping and grinding your arse into the camera ...

When did I become such an OLD LADY Confused?

santababy2b · 12/12/2010 13:13

Aww ttl, she sounds very unpleasant and I'm guessing you hit a nerve.

I have to say I'm not normally a fan of x factor, but last nights episode was awesome. It was all a bit risky, but loved it! Blush

I'm still full of the cold, anyone got any ideas what I'm allowed to take for it? Sad

santababy2b · 12/12/2010 13:19

Josie, don't lose heart. It is really difficult though when everyone else seems to have/ be having them. I have had two cases this week where distant friends have suddenly just posted pics of their newborns on facebook, without a pregnancy announcement Shock.

pmsl @ singingmog's cat having a widdle...your poor dh.

Good luck for tomorrow Vallinapod.

takethatlady · 12/12/2010 13:39

Oh yeah forgot about mog's mog. How could I?! Xmas Shock Xmas Grin

I thought Christina and Rihanna both gave amazing performances too. There was just a LOT of semi-naked dry-humping sex-act-simulating butt-slapping going on lol! I thought it was brilliant, but glad I don't have a five year old daughter gyrating and singing about blow jobs now she's seen it Xmas Grin

vallinnapod · 12/12/2010 16:49

Thanks for the best wishes for tomorrow lovelies. Between you guys and RL I feel very supported. Big huggles and MWAHs to you all xxx

TTL Shock indeed at the PM. I have to say, while I read other stuff on MN I never comment. If I hadn't found this thread first I would have thought MN was made up of horrible, narrow minded loons primarily spoiling for a fight....

I wasn't particularly shocked at X-Factor but I watch everything through my eyes (as it were!!) rather than thinking of other viewers. I was shocked that Rhianna went out in non-matching undies Grin

takethatlady · 12/12/2010 17:32

I shouldn't comment and get drawn in to silly stuff I don't care about lol! She's started telling everyone else to fuck off now, and they're telling her to fuck off too, so I've stopped posting!

Right, I am definitely an old decrepit lady for being Shock at X Factor - either that or I've got a career writing for the Daily Mail I didn't know I had Grin

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 12/12/2010 19:51

ttl just remember, it's easy to be a keyboard warrior and send people nasty messages from the safety of one's sofa. The people that do that sort of thing are generally sad, friendless losers. Even I have better things to do with my time ffs.

I have made it my online policy never to get drawn into arguments on the internet, because, well, even if you win, you lose Xmas Grin

vallinna good luck for tomorrow!

Caz still thinking of you lots x

I am ticked off because I just missed out on a dress I really wanted on ebay, AND it went for a bargainous price Angry Am determined to find a cheap new frock for Christmas day, since hopefully next year I'll be back in baby vom chic.

takethatlady · 12/12/2010 21:36

Xmas Grin brightstar, good advice!

takethatlady · 12/12/2010 21:37

And Xmas Sad about the dress on ebay ... you'll find another.

I hear vom chic is very in these days, anyway :)

SnowMiffles · 12/12/2010 23:22

TTL - I am totally with you on Rhianna and Christina. Was totally Shock at all the actions going on. Not suitable TV for pre-watershed. Certainly would not want my daughter watching that and thinking it was acceptable. Also rather like lavender and comfy flat shoes!!! Xmas Grin

LOL at Vallinna and non-matching undies! Thinking of you tomorrow.

Sorry Josie and Nelly are out of the running this month. But it does mean you'll have a more fun Christmas. Concentrate on that and the JSing that coming up.

Truffkin · 13/12/2010 08:56

Vallinna good luck for today, sending virtual hand squeezes your way!

TakeThat am Confused at the PM you received. I've assumed the thread was AIBU in which case it is asking for opinions and surely as a public forum anyone can post! I've occasionally posted on AIBU / chat threads but generally tend to stick to conception and Strictly chat Grin

Re: X Factor, we watched it Sky + so fast forwarded through Rhianna and most of Xtina's performance. Now that is definitely middle aged behaviour for you. However, I could have happily watched an extra hour of Strictly!

takethatlady · 13/12/2010 09:22

Good luck today vallinna! Hope there's an egg sandwich in there :)
