By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

Miffles · 19/11/2010 17:18

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Josie no sign of mine yet either. Mine does normally turn up in the morning. Haven't had any spotting either, which I normally get. But I've had longer cycles than this before so am not getting hopeful either. Who said TTC is a Head Fuck? They were right Xmas Hmm.

NervousNelly · 10/12/2010 12:56

Whoops being a bit self absorbed there! Yeah for BFP for santababy

JosieSmith1 · 10/12/2010 13:14

Ooooo Nervous sounds like it could be your time!!! [fingers crossed emoticon]

NoMoreSnowPlease · 10/12/2010 13:21

I want a bizarro baby or sex dream . All I dreamt about last night was DS being back in nappies and somehow setting his nappy on fire. I don't want that!!!

vallinnapod · 10/12/2010 13:43

Afternoon viriods!

Not as chilly today! Welcome paperchase and congrats santababy

Back to me, me, me Wink

Good growing still. Possibly taking the trigger shot tomorrow eve but will depend on todays bloods and tomorrow's bloods/scan. Tres, TRES exciting here in Pod-land! DH is ready to do his duty Wink I 'sympathised' (as much as someone who has had 18 bloods tests in 3 weeks and has lost count of the number of dildo cams can) and said I realised it wasn't the easiest thing in the world for him to have to do underpressure to which he responded 'Nah, just give me a mag and I am fine'...so he has a mental age of 12, the sex drive of a 16 year old and the hair colour of a 50 yr old Wink

Next week is a real bitch at work and busy socially so it make sense that egg collection should be then. I. Am. Not. Complaining! Grin

takethatlady · 10/12/2010 13:50

vallinna the pods are landing! Whoop whoop! Xmas Grin at your DH. At least he's not going for the pity vote. 18 blood tests! You are such a trooper.

Sooooo glad the body is finally complying. Hope there's a pea in one of those pods Xmas Smile

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 10/12/2010 14:42

how did i miss santababy 's news??? Xmas ShockXmas Blush

well done, good shagging there Xmas Grin

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 10/12/2010 15:06

vallinna so exciting Xmas Smile Likewise santababy Xmas Grin This thread surely has the most apt title of any on MN.

I have had bizarre dreams every night; however, they have all been of the zombie apocalypse variety Confused which I could live without tbh.

vallinnapod · 10/12/2010 15:45

Ohhh, egg collection on Monday....!! Eeekk!

Totally crapping myself-- So excited!

Eskarina · 10/12/2010 17:00

Am I too late to party. I come bearing, um, apple juice? Spicy berry cordial?

I did an expensive test just now, to see whether yesterday's cheapie faint line was still there. It came up as BFP straight away, before control line had even appeared. Will do a digi tomorrow when DH is around to read in black and white! He doesn't believe me still. I think he's waiting for me to start throwing up!

Vallinna egg collection is very exciting! Good luck lovey.

Santababy2b Congratulations! Are you usually much of a drinker? I'm not so am planning to a) drive everywhere if possible and b) order a small one and sip slowly/palm off on DH. Starting tonight as we're meeting up with my brother and his gf and another friend for a pre-christmas drink/meal.

I can't remember if I mentioned my scan yesterday (and much to lazy to scroll up the thread). Ovaries are normal and the gynaecologist there won't investigate PCO unless you're having 3 periods a year or fewer. Sonographer mentioned that the next thing would be to do an internal scan Shock but said she wouldn't due to that morning's news. So beanie, whether you're a sticky one or not, you saved me from the dildo-cam, for which I will be eternally grateful Grin

santababy2b · 10/12/2010 18:09

Just did another more expensive test too, so definately BFP. Eskarina I'm normally a very social drinker and don't drive. So many catch ups over the next couple of weeks, not to mention the Staff Christmas party.

I am probably getting ahead of myself though and way too excited. Someone slap me with the thread kipper.

Forgive me for not mentioning everyone in my post...it appears I have some reading to do to catch up Xmas Smile

Dynababy · 10/12/2010 21:24

woop woop more BFP news - congrats baby2b soo pleased!!

Nervous how are you resting testing PIAR please!!?

Dynababy · 10/12/2010 21:31

opps should read resisting!

NervousNelly · 10/12/2010 21:48

Dyna because I wanted to drink wine tonight. Dunno - sheer terror? I'm also too scared to go to the loo though in case I find evidence of spotting. So I'm going to have a hangover and a UTI by tomorrow morning Xmas Wink.

Considering doing one now, but it's supposed to be in the morning so probably should wait. Also, I wonder if the fact I've actually had a couple of glasses of NZ's finest makes a difference Xmas Hmm.

vallina how bloody exciting for you Xmas Grin. Well done for being such an uncomplaining pincushion; and also for not telling your OH to Man Up!!!!

Yeah for the expensive BFPs. Seems more real now I bet!

Had another weird dream last night, but not a baby related one. It was actually horrid, something to do with Police turning up whilst I was outside doing my horses at night (in the dark). They were en masse but in hiding, then one pulled me aside and told me they were looking for someone and thought he was here. They then found 2 people hiding in the boot of my car. It got really really scary and ominous and dark and nightmare like- I woke up in the middle of the night feeling terrified Confused. Think I preferred the Perfectly Behaved Baby dream :)

SleepyCaz · 10/12/2010 21:57

SantaBaby! :) Fab news!!

Vallina!!! Am super excited for you :)

Things are shit over here. Went to EPAC Wednesday because my bleeding became very red and cramps were worsening.
The Nurse was fab, was the same one who scanned me the first two times. She said straightaway, "You haven't miscarried, it's grown beautifully, and has a strong heartbeat." I was in tears, as I'd had to wait an hour and had spent the time resigning myself to the worst.
She showed me the screen, heart pumping away, gave me a picture and told me to rest.
Anyway, spent the whole day with my feet up, DH was great, collected DS from school and took him back to work with him etc.
By early yesterday morning however, and for the rest of today, my blood loss has increased to huge amounts and I have been passing clots. I am exhausted and GUTTED :(
EPAC told me to just sit it out and go back when the bleeding stops, so they can check that it has all gone.
I wanted them to say, "rush in now, we can save the little bean" but obs they can't, as only 7 weeks.
Seems so cruel that I saw it's little heartbeat and the very next day this.

V low :(

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 10/12/2010 22:07

Oh Caz :( I wish there was something I could say, or do. I am so sorry.

(((Caz)))

NervousNelly · 10/12/2010 22:18

. So, so sorry. :(

takethatlady · 10/12/2010 22:20

Oh no sleepycaz I'm so sorry Sad

I really really hope you get lots of TLC from your DH and can have some time off to recuperate and do whatever you need to do. So so sorry Sad

Eskarina · 11/12/2010 08:02

Oh Caz Sad
We're here for you when you need us (hug)

NoMoreSnowPlease · 11/12/2010 10:08

Oh what a bittersweet morning.

Caz I'm gutted for you. Hope that DH of yours is taking good care of you xx

And yet Vannilla brilliant news about Monday.

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 11/12/2010 10:58

Caz I'm so sorry. I don't know what to say. :( :(
Big hugs and best wish thoughts coming your way.

santababy2b · 11/12/2010 11:42

Caz really sorry Wish I had something to say to make it better.

Vannilla Good luck for Monday! You have been very brave.

Nervous have you piar yet?! I am pant checking constantly at the moment too.

Woke up this morning full of the cold and with what feels like the beginnings of a chest infection, so still sitting in my pjs. :(

Slightly worried as I have been symptom spotting every month, but don't really feel any different yet. [hmm}

santababy2b · 11/12/2010 11:43

Vallina excuse my spelling :)

santababy2b · 11/12/2010 11:44

Think I still spelt your name wrong Confused

SnowMiffles · 11/12/2010 12:23

Morning all (although reading through 3 pages had meant it is now afternoon!)

Wow - so much has happened since I was on on Wed.

Caz - I am so sorry to hear your news. My heart goes out to you. Do whatever you need to do to get through this time. Sad

Santababy2b and Eskarina - Yay!!! Whoop whoop - 2 BFPs!! So exciting! I bet it will take a while to sink in, esp when you're not having many symptoms.

Vallinna - E-day on Monday then, huh? What a relief that will be! You have certainly worked hard to get these little eggs! Xmas Smile What happens after that?

PMSL at Nelly having a hangover and a UTI. Have you tested yet this morning? Go on!! And Josie - still no sign of ERTD?

So many dreams going around, I'm getting a little concerned for you all. Out of interest....do your DH's dream as much? Me and my sisters often have crazy dreams, but my DH (and theirs) rarely seem to. I wondered if women are more prone to nocturanal imaginings.....

All ticking over in the Miffles household. JSed yesterday morning, which means we did day 9,12,14 and 16, so hoping we have ovulation covered. Had my works Christmas do last night - wore the same dress as the one I wore to DHs one. Had fun and got rather drunk. Figured if I have ovulated, there won't have been a chance for it to fully embed and what have you. Once I actually get a BFP I'll be good, I promise!!

Still sitting in my PJs and loving the lazy day. My mum is coming over in half an hour - the plan is to watch Grey's Anatomy (have Series 1 or 2 on DVD and watching them slowly!) and pop out to watch DH play rugby for about 20 mins (too cold otherwise!).

Due to my upbringing, I have the opposite concern. I felt my mum was/is the best mum ever and don't see how I can possibly live up to what she was like. But I guess I have her example to try and follow. Although it's always important to find our own way of doing things.

to all other viroids.
