By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

NMCB I am in Greece... It is 25, but it is def not right for this time of year. Some snow would be lovely. Last couple of years we had snow in Jan, so waiting...

Think AF should be here soon (Sat or Sun) as having usual PMT. No surprise as only managed to JS twice this month (as DH was in SA until last Friday) and they were both days after pant snot and EWCM. Want AF to get here so we can start trying for a Xmas conception, though not immaculate Wink

Brassica I know you are scared, esp given past experiences, but my mum bled so regularly while pg with me that she thought she had a period and didn't realise until almost 5 months!!

Miffles · 02/12/2010 12:08

Watching DH put up a curtain pole - bay window with 5 sides, so quite a feat! And I'm doing Christmas shopping online (really sorry Nickel i know it's not good....am buying from little proper shops where I can)

Anyway, all in all having a fun snow day and feeling quite productive. Not planning on venturing out AT ALL!!

Really hope your scan still goes ahead tomorrow NMCB - how exciting to see your bean. You're not 12 weeks already, are you?!

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 02/12/2010 12:26

and Xmas Grin at DH's pole! Xmas Shock

takethatlady · 02/12/2010 13:03

Especially as it's a five-sided pole. Not many men have one of those Xmas Wink Xmas Grin

SnowMiffles · 02/12/2010 13:07

Oh, hasn't your DH got 5 poles?! Xmas Hmm

takethatlady · 02/12/2010 13:31

Nope, just three. I thought that was normal??? Xmas Blush

BrassicaBabe · 02/12/2010 13:37

Bloody laptop. Wrote a whole post then it crashed!

I hope things have settled down for you tomorrow vallinna. The little bit about IVF that I know is that it is rather trial and error with different things working for different people. It must be enough to drive you mad though!

Miffles don't worry about taking the clomid at different times of the day. We both took it on days 2-6. There are plenty of people who takes on 3-7 through to 5-9. So it's clearly not too important when it's taken Grin In terms of the JSing, I'm afraid I don't know....before and after?! Grin

PMSL for the pole talk Grin

Ok, sorry, it seems I was fussing over nothing with the spotting Blush It was just the one...eerrmmm...wipe

Not too much snow at home, maybe a couple of inches, but the work office is closed as they've had over a foot. Rather bored of my own company now...

takethatlady · 02/12/2010 13:48

Oh good news bb. I had a pink wipe myself a few weeks ago, and then nothing, but spent the whole day checking and worrying.

In fact, I check the tissue and worry about it all day EVERY day Grin

JosieSmith1 · 02/12/2010 13:49

That's great BB, hope you're feeling better now. Get yourself in the bath with a good book and galaxy choccy Xmas Grin

I wrote a post before and thought I'd posted it but seem to have lost it somewhere Xmas Hmm It didn't say much I don't think Xmas Grin

SnowMiffles · 02/12/2010 13:55

What good news BB. Really pleased. Enjoying this bit of the month where I don't need to check and there's no pressure. Don't envy the regular checks and worries you graduates have.

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 02/12/2010 14:29

Bloody snow.
didn't mind it but now I've had to cancel the Christmas market.
Xmas SadXmas Angry

Still having Santa's Grotto, though - if he can't make it through a tiny bit of snow, heaven help us all!

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 02/12/2010 14:30

ps BB glad you've stopped spotting. (was probably just dirt Xmas Wink )

takethatlady · 02/12/2010 16:32

Xmas Grin nickel

Dynababy · 02/12/2010 18:13

Hi all, not been on much as mega busy with work .. slightly worried (understatement) its not good for the bean .... we had a massive incident yesterday (lost all our systems) and basically I worked all through the night last night to recover the situation .. I ended up being in work from 9am yesterday until 6:30am today Sad .. I've now had a few hours sleep but migraine and pain in side of stomach ... I'm so worried doing stupid amounts of work might harm the little bean (officially its size now at 7 weeks!) ... fingers crossed, I'm hoping pain is becuase i'm also now a bit bunged up Blush ..but not normal.

I have a dimlema ... to tell work early to get a risk assessment and hopefully not have to work like a loon or get on with it until the 5th of Jan when I have 12 week scan (2 weeks off at xmas nearly). What would you do?

Sorry very self centred post just feeling Sad

BB so glad browness came to nothing.

Miffles good luck with first 'proper' month TTC and dildo cam!

Everyone else (except drunken Mog Xmas Grin)roll on 2ww madness... and hopefully more good news. No one answered Nervous who is next to test??

escapeartist · 02/12/2010 19:41

Dyna I would def tell work, though only those who needed to know and would completely expect them to keep it quiet.

BB great news. One wipe is really nothing, but I expect it is must be so nerve wracking.

AF due on Sat for me (or thereabouts, have regular 31 day cycles, apart from last two which were both 35 so not 100% what to expect) but won't be testing as only BD'd twice and at the wrong time. Fingers crossed for everyone else - it is the right time of year for BFP's!!! (though not drinking...)

SingingMog · 02/12/2010 20:59

So glad spotting turned out to be nothing BB. Relief and virtual champers all round.

I agree with escapeartist, Dyna. Think you should tell work, you don't want anything to happen to the little bean.

Miffles - excited for you Xmas Grin.

I have told DH that it is his responsibility not to agree to the JSing this month if I start demanding it!

Snow sounds bad for some of you, but is OK here. Just been at school Christmas bingo (providing musical entertainment) and quite impressed I'm in before 9pm. People are still there playing bingo tho. Was -1 deg C when I left. Brrrrrrrrrr.

LOL at poles and Santa battling through snow to get to nickel!

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 02/12/2010 21:01

Dyna definitely tell the relevant person/s at work, no one should have to work those hours - pregnant or not! I hope you've at least been given a day in lieu to recover.

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 09:03

Oh my goodness dyna how awful! Do you have an HR department? Maybe just tell them and they can make sure it's kept quiet?

I am scared because I have told a lot of people this week - all my old colleagues from my old job. Was meant to be going out for drinks with them last night but knew I wouldn't be able to hide the lack of drinking (one of them emailed back and said 'As the Cambridge drink trade is going to be quaking in its boots for the next 7 months we'll do our best to fill the gap' Xmas Grin) and as I was feeling sick again I cancelled but told them all. I was in a team of 15 people and only one of them (really good friend) already knew. They were all lovely about it :)

Worried that I have told people too early. Still 13 days till my 12+3 week scan. Keep talking to the baby (like a nutter) to convince myself it's still there ... probably I'm driving it nuts already Xmas Grin
