Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

Ha ha - love the change of name wormshuffler Grin

Lexie - sorry you have found yourself on here and glad that all our talk of wormshuffling etc. hasn't put you off.

Re: your question - I am back to "normal" I think but have just had one period since ERPC 14th Nov. Have you had any more since your 11th Nov one? If so, that is a good sign. If not, then I can certainly appreciate your cause for concern. Did they take any bloods to check your HCG levels? It is possible (but unlikely) that not all the tissue was removed during the ERPC. Was your tummy ache more digestional or gynaecological IYKWIM? If you haven't had a period since your one on 14th Nov and all other tests come back clear, I would ask for referral, but they may say to wait a few more weeks to see if period does appear. Good luck and please do keep us posted on how you get on. Thinking of you x

manamana · 10/01/2011 19:17

Lexie, really sorry to hear your experience. Stomach ache sounds horrible and must be worrying, when do you get the results back?

Hooray for the name change worm shuffler Grin

winterwombatland · 11/01/2011 15:30

Gaaaaah.... I'm such a fool.... Think AF was due today or yesterday so as nothing has appeared so far, decided to POAS this afternoon and of course a BFN despite tilting several different ways under different light.... it was a Boots one so don't think it can count as a "cheapie" either - gaaaaaah!

Repeat after me wombat, do not succumb to early testing, do not succumb to early testing....

yellowtomato · 11/01/2011 16:04

Oh wombat it's horrid to see the bfn isn't it? How regular is your af normally? Testing the day af is due isn't really considered early......I don't think I'd be able to resist either. You're not a fool either, just keen like we all are to get pg again.....

I don't have any tests in the house to protect me from early testing....but I've got past this before by nipping to the shop! It only delays things by a few hours.

Who else was meant to be testing today? come on girls, we need updates!

Lexie Sorry I don't have anything helpful to add, I had a period 5 weeks after ERPC which was normal if slightly heavier and think I ovulated this month. My next period is due this Friday so we'll see what happens next. Sorry that you are suffering and hope GP finds something useful.

Sparklywine · 11/01/2011 16:05

Wombat, I feel your pain! AF due today based on the cycle last month ie most unscientific, but no sign and already I'm thinking oooooh, shall I test tomorrow morning? Why? Ran out of cheapie tests aswell so it'll be one of the vastly overpriced treat ones.
You ok though? I'm not too bad with bfn's but only because I test almost daily with some frequency Grin
Hi Lexie, I had a blighted ovum too, sorry you have gone through this. There seems to be no such thing as normal re AF returning but I'd get any pain checked out if it feels unusual.

On a more cheering note, just been online and bought some lovely pyjamas in the Hush sale, they come highly recommended and I've got them big enough for a pizza belly bump so am feeling happy and nesty.
Will not test. Will not test.

yellowtomato · 11/01/2011 16:25

What's the nipple situation sparkly? any other symptoms?

Pjs sound lovely btw

MrsB33 · 11/01/2011 17:56

hi ladies, just checking in, seems like youve all been busy over the last few days, hotair balloons, planning holidays!! How exciting!!
Im not offically on the 7 day count down... Have no symptoms to speak of, apart from constipation!! (putting that all down to my lack of caffine as gave up caffine after xmas!!
Will keep you all upto date, waves to all and welcome lexie, sorry youve found yourself here, x

manamana · 11/01/2011 19:38

Ok ladies, deep breath...

I appear to be pg. Doesn't feel like a yay bfp moment, as I am shit scared. But a little yay would be ok.

Decided to test and with a cb digital it says 2-3 weeks so I guess that I could be 5 weeks from date of erpc. Have done two and so I guess it's right. Feels weird, I just want to lock myself away for the next two months. Am going to wait and contact the dr in a couple of weeks and ask for an early scan around 10 weeks. Last time it stopped growing at 9.5 weeks so wouldn't want any scan before then.

So, do I have to shuffle off or can I lurk for a bit while pretending not to be pg cos i won't count it until scan. I had a quick look on the due in sept thread to reassure myself that no major sickness at this stage is normal but there are already people who have had to drop out and the same mc concerns which I don't want to give head room too. Couple of pg after mc threads though so can head off there and just pop in here to check you'r all ok until we get more positives.

Wombat, sorry yours was neg. I wouldn't want to give false hope but last week mine was neg too.

Thanks all for your support in getting me to here.

Wormshuffler · 11/01/2011 19:58

OMG congratulations! So pleased for you!!!! Finally one of us has a BFP I'm sure there will be more to follow!! (Fingers crossed)
Manamama what are your sats then? (How long has it taken since ERPC, how many cycles have you had? So many questions!!! I know what you mean about not believing it, I was like that when I got pg again after mc was not till my eight week scan I spoke about it with DH and after 12 week scan that I told anyone else. Its good to lurk around here for a bit and we would love you to stay around and remind us that there is light at the end of the tunnel! I wish you a happy and heathy nine months x

oh manamama i also shed a tear for you!! That fab news!! Hopefully youve spread your good lucj on the thread so yes stay around longer, so its gets spread a little more... Fab news!! Keep us updated, im sure all will be well.
Is this our first grad??

manamana · 11/01/2011 21:21

Thank you Grin
I'm having a really hard time getting excited so it's extra lovely that you're excited for me.
So answers to questions, erpc was 7th dec and today is 5 weeks since then. Bled for nearly 2 weeks after erpc and me and dh have been 'at it' every couple of days since then except for when we were at parents.

Slightly worried that I drank a lot at Xmas and ate everything I shouldn't have done but ds1 was conceived around the same time with similar worries and all was fine.

I guess the only other worry would be that the hormones are left over but I had a neg last week so guessing that that's unlikely. Have got another test for next week so I can check that it moves to 3+ weeks which will be reassuring.

Thanks for letting me hang around for a while, I like it here and we've been through it all together. Am not planning on telling anyone in rl (except dh, although I was wondering about telling him when he's back at the weekend but caved when I spoke to him!) so will need my mumsnet buddies.

Here's hoping I've started a trend...

yellowtomato · 11/01/2011 22:23

Wow, how exciting, sooooo pleased for you. Do stay, you can be our inspiration and lead the way to many more bfps! So happy for you but I can see how it is very scary too but try not to let it spoil the excitement. Your very impressive sex effort has paid off, do you have any other tips to share? Did you ever try a variation on the worm? Grapefruit? Headstands?

yellowtomato · 12/01/2011 09:12

So manamana I have more questions......did you have any symptoms? Did you kind of 'know' before you tested? How are you feeling now, emotionally and physically?

Congrats again.......right, who is next?

winterwombatland · 12/01/2011 10:25

Oooooooh mana - how very exciting, although we will keep with a little yay if you don't want to get too excited, but still, yay! and I second all *yellow" 's questions - details please! What was DH's reaction? And you MUST stay (pretty please....) Smile

MrsB - I think (although long time MNers please do correct me) that you can be a grad once you actually have a baby, but heck, you can still be our first graduate mana!

sparkly - any update on nipplage or testing?

yellow - I don't think I would have tested if it weren't for the fact there was one test lurking in the cupboard as it was BOGOF offer in Boots when I picked one up post ERPC to check levels....

Am tempted to POAS tomorrow morning with a Clearblue as my last 2 BFPs were morning tests with a Clearblue and somehow in my weird screwed up thinking am believeing it might bring me luck Blush Hmm Confused plus potentially a big drinking night tomorrow....

How's everyone else? Nurse - good to see you again. Kitkey, wellie, strawberry - are you still around....? Hope all is well.

And congrats again mana Grin

Sparklywine · 12/01/2011 11:36

Congratulations Mana!!

I read your post and my heart actually skipped a little bit at your announcement! So pleased for you!
AF started last night and causing me pain, but I will rise in a dignified fashion above the crushing disapointment (Grin) and celebrate with everyone.
Please do stick around and let us know how you are doing, you are a shining beacon of hope. Happy hugs x

winterwombatland · 12/01/2011 11:53

Ah sparkly - big, fat, hairy b*llocks to AF arriving. Hope you have some chilled vino close by x

Sparklywine · 12/01/2011 12:15

wombat, wine is a chunky red, thus is breathing as we type! I am also going to use the steam room in the gym tonight, then come home and bathe in soft cheese and pateGrin
It is a little disheartening, but these things will happen when they do. Hats off to mana though for SWI every other day for 3 weeks, I have clearly not been putting sufficient effort in; I didn't even bicycle for heaven's sake!

DH and I were formulating our plan of action for this month on the way to work and he is against any wormlike manoeuvres so has promised to "play me like a Hendrix solo" Grin He then did an air guitar flourish which put me off quite frankly, but we'll see how it pans out.
Good luck with your testing tomorrow!

manamana · 12/01/2011 12:50

Sparkly, the hendrix moves are making me laugh! Have to say dh and I have been trying to get the dipping action post swi activity which has been fun and apparently effective. Enjoy the guitar moves :-) I am glad the rotten eggs are still in their boxes ;-) but understand completely. Particularly in light of af's arrival. I have only just managed to speak to the fairly heavily pregnant lady in my office this week after mostly avoiding her last week, I am v pleased that you are all happy to put up with me. Enjoy the wine, cheese and pate fest.

Ok, so let me be useful and pass on what we've been up to... Far too much detail but I know you want it!!!
Missionary position with every effort to get me to orgasm after dh, apart from one quicky in the shower on xmas morning which may have been perfectly timed! Me lying still for a while afterwards, didn't get around to legs up or bicycling. No grapefruit. Only started my low caffeine, low booze after jan1st so don't think that was a factor.

Dh is quite excited, but worried about me. I am just trying to take each day as it comes and not plan ahead as it was all the lost plans that i felt weree particularly crushing. I am keeping a notebook with dates, tests, symptoms etc so that I don't have to keep it all in my head.

Symptoms... That horrible pant wetness that makes you feel like you're bleeding, odd bowel stuff, constipation, some loose, gassy etc, and feeling a tiny bit sick when I first wake up. But now sore boobs yet and no loosening of joints yet (bad spd with ds2 and last time I feel quite wobbly fairly early).

Yes yellow, I had a feeling that I was which was why I tested. After last pg when I was getting so stressed about scan and felt odd I have decided to start trying to listen to body more.

Wombat, fingers crossed if you do test, I'm all in favourite of a bit of screwy logic in these situations.

Take care all. Am off for coffee with some friends now. Am going to struggle keeping it to myself as it's tricky to think about anything else but I really don't want anyone to know this time.

Symptoms....

wellieboots · 12/01/2011 12:50

Hi all,
Sorry I've been busy with finishing up work this week prior to emigrating at the end of the month Grin and Shock at the same time, so I haven't been posting much, though I have been keeping an eye on you all and lurking!

Welcome lexi but sorry you need to be here, if you know what I mean, I had a blighted ovum too, lots of love to you.

((((mana)))) on the BFP!!!! That is FAB news and gives the rest of us hope. I'm still waiting for first AF - we are not TTC until after that, I am getting a bit impatient but guess I shouldn't be too surprised, as I did bleed for quite a long time after ERPC. Hope you are doing OK, it is only natural that you don't want to give out a big YAY yet, please do stick around!

Waves to everyone else!

winterwombatland · 12/01/2011 16:28

sparkly - your DH is hilarious! Let's see if it does the trick - you'll at least have fun trying Grin. Glad you have the wine, cheese and pate (and rotten tomatoes) stacked up.

mana - fab stuff on the details - thanks for those - will definitely try the dipping cervix more often. It will be reeeeeally tricky to keep it to yourself so good luck with that.

wellie - where are you emigrating to?! Very exciting and I'm sure a wee bit scary too. Do stay on mumsnet with us - you can be an abroader like me!

Some advice please ladies - I've got a blinkin' annoying dose of thrush which I would normally do the pessary thing or pop a pill for but am reluctant to as everything I've read says don't if you're PG. I am using the cream as it's just way too uncomfortable otherwise. So.... no AF right now, testing tomorrow but expecting BFN. If it is BFN, do I risk a pill / pessary? I'm normally on a 28 or 29 day cycle and tomorrow would make it day 31.... thanks in advance

yellowtomato · 12/01/2011 16:46

winter just quickly cos am on phone - I wouldn't risk a pessary, early bfn can become bfp. I know it must be so irritating but that's just my view!

Sparklywine · 12/01/2011 16:49

wombat, I'd personally probably rather not with the pessary until AF arrives, I'd worry about anything oop inside, if you see what I mean. Can cream/yoghurt/gritted teeth see you through until AF/BFP? I think you would worry if you used the pessary to be honest as you've got that 'what if??!!' thing going on at the moment. Plus for you to feel you need to ask indicates that you are unsure, and you have enough stress going on. Having only had thrush twice and having found the cream of little use without the pessary, I can see the dilemma though. Do what you need to do with our wholehearted support, I am merely profering advice as asked, based on what I would do, sat here as I am in itch-free comfort (evil unsupportive Grin)

winterwombatland · 12/01/2011 18:34

Aw thanks ladies - you're great. Pretty much confirmed what I was thinking. So.... gritted teeth, cream and the occasional furtive itch it is. I feel as if I deserve a BFP tomorrow now - will keep you posted for sure! xx
