Glittering seductively in the evening sun, crewed by swarthy slaves, waited on hand and foot by bare-chested manservants bearing a rudimentary form of gin.

We have golden temples decorated with hieroglyphs for sacrificial offerings (and woo from the soothsayers) if required, and The Pit is full of asses? milk.

So, put on your eye make-up that goes out as far as your ears and jewellery so weighty it leaves dents in your head and step out to survey the peasants on the banks.

Come join the 30s TTC if your womble is as ancient and crumbly as Tutankhamen! Egypt; the thread where everyone eventually gets to be a mummy whether they like it or not.

Mornin' Truffs good hungover boob jiggling - ta.

Do 'anyoldiron men' take old televisions? Ours is hilarious - they play a recording of the theme tune from Steptoe and Son.

AlpinePony · 21/11/2010 11:50

I too want a Xmas tree star made from piss-sticks, given that I'm only due one droid between now and xmas - will it be possible for me to gather enough sticks? Wink

More than one ESH baby has been won with a singular shag - you've just got to get the best swimmers on the job. None of these Homer Simpson ones with no tails or that just swim around in circles. We want long distance english channel crossing swimmers!

I've had a row with jailbait and ridden the horse - good start to the day!

Right off to buy some ebay/amazon cheapies after stern talking to by jailbait. Hmm

AlpinePony · 21/11/2010 14:24

Btw, have just seen cbfm on amazon for only 56 shiny pounds.

InTheSunshine · 21/11/2010 15:13

Oooh AlpineFresh £56 is good price. I have been considering a shag dictator too.

Truff the 'tat' men round here go round in a van, one shouts out the window, the other plays a bloodie trombone

Boo dealing with hangover is one thing, droid & hangovers should be made illegal.

MS has had to go to bastard work again so I am shovelling Green & Blacks down my neck and generally having a mard. Fucking aeroplanes. Grrrr

kat2504 · 21/11/2010 16:38

Ooh 56 is a very good price I shelled out 100 quid in boots for mine. First month but liking it so far as I love to poas! If you get one watch out the first month mine had a week of highs before I finally got a peak. Obviously some of those highs early on can not have been fertile so had to do more swi than necessary. Not such a bad thing, was fun!
Will also take the guess work out of preg tests, have promised not to do one till the shag dictator flashes at me. Hmm we will see....

AlpinePony · 22/11/2010 07:18

I think I ovulated again last night - I had a dream about Stringer Bell! Grin

Ivegotmrbitey · 22/11/2010 08:02

Daniel craig has that effect on me too ski!
Morning hags check out these daisy dukes

had a lovely evening last night with my nearly three year old god daughter watching Xmas ads old and new and so saw her seeing the coke ad for the first time. T'was a beautiful moment and can heartily recomend it
for dispelling Sunday evening blues!

AlpinePony · 22/11/2010 08:28

If I were you I'd wear those Daisy's every day from now until end of Jan because you won't be fitting in them after that. Wink

How are you feeling anyway? Still in a state of disbelief?

PrincessBoo · 22/11/2010 09:44

Ello Beshlets. Me and smallboo are having a sofa day. He has a horrible cough and sore throat and begged not to go to nursery. I gave in and have taken the day off - suits me fine as the second day of droid is always so blimmin' heavy.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 10:01

How is Truffkin this morning? Over the hangover?

So, how you feeling?

Hope Smallboo feels better soon, Boo. I am generally a heartless Mummy and make him go unless he is on his last legs/nursery exclude him. Would quite fancy a duvet day today though.

How you doing, Bitey? I have added aspirin to the cornucopia of daily drucks I am now taking. MrG commented I am like an old lady with all my various pills. Still got the fear. The sore boobs are reassuring though.

PrincessBoo · 22/11/2010 10:14

The fact he was up half the night coughing may have influenced my decision somewhat - based on how knackered I am only. It's no wonder this country is going to the dogs with lightweights like me etc etc :o

wonder how many bfps we can fit on this thread before it sinks.

Ivegotmrbitey · 22/11/2010 10:35

I have the fear too ladyG gusset checking like a fiend. On the upside massive sore boobs, chronic heartburn and trump-tastic wind, on the downside bit of an achey womble. I am seeing the GP tomorrow as the five positive tests are not enough confirmation for me. Why are you taking aspirin?

Sorry smallboo is poorly but Envy at sofa day. Will there be blankets and flat lemonade too?

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 11:34

Due to the previous miscarriage. Have been googling furiously and found I have an increased risk of mc due to having anti-thyroid antibodies. Can basically cause clotting around the placenta which the aspirin can help prevent. So I am hoping.

I've had terrible wind too! Blush Unfortunately this was a feature of the whole of my last full term pregnancy. That and being constantly and unbearably horny. Not a good combination! The achey womble thing is nothing to worry about. Is just the baby snuggling in and everything stretching a bit to make room. You'll have all kinds of random aches and pains that you weren't expecting. Wait til you get the leukarhea! Grin

AlpinePony · 22/11/2010 11:49

I am prepared to dip my toes in the pool of menkul due to increased fartiness which was a predominant feature of my early pregnancy pre-BFB. Hmm

princessB Sorry to hear about the little one but very glad to hear you're taking your mummy responsibilities seriously. i.e., sat on the sofa eating hobnobs and making him dress up as Cheryl Cole.

bitey That is pure madness btw, going to the GP! Wink

kat2504 · 22/11/2010 12:00

Grr someone give me a slap and remind me that boob acheage at 2dpo is most likely causedby the fact that I am ill!
bitey don't tell the doc how many tests you did. Mine laughed at me when I said I had come to confirm the pregnancy.

Truffkin · 22/11/2010 12:41

Morning Hags

Hi GaGa yes, fine thanks

Bitey good luck at the quacks, I've also heard that some GPs can be quite dismissive about the whole BFP thing. Apparently they deal with preggos all the time and are not as excited as we are, with a newly won BFP

So, I'm determindedly not mekulling. But may have noticed the following things (which all have reasonable explanations)

heartburn on Saturday = diffed OR spicy food and wine combo
huge appetite (read: McDonalds craving) on Sunday = diffed OR hungover
nausea this morning = diffed OR getting up too early and rushingas I was late (for a change)
tender buzwams = diffed OR over zealous prodding

All contributions gratefully received. FF puts testing as Thursday, I'm expecting droid by Friday. I think I may have mentioned several hundred times before that we are away this weekend at a family party in Ireland and am still very undecided about what to do if droid doesn't arrive in time to accompany me on the plane. We will be travelling with diffed SIL and their 2 small children and if I get BFN I'll be a right miserable cow (and get massively sorrow-drowningly pissed in front of whole posse of in laws). But then if it's a BFP, will really struggle for people not to guess when I am not leading the strawpedo (see previous fred for explanation) brigade on Saturday night.

I'm overthinking this aren't I? Hmm

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 12:50

Why don't you test a bit earlier, Truff? Say if temps still up in morning with a nice sensitive test. Then if BFN you have a few days to degrump? and if BFP you have a few days to get used to it and work out a hiding strategy? A First Response would likely show it tomorrow.

AlpinePony · 22/11/2010 12:56

Yes truffs POAS, POAS, POAS!

Ivegotmrbitey · 22/11/2010 13:26

POAS! POAS! POAS!

I know seeing GP is the route to nuttiness which is why I opted for the locum, he/she and I will never have to cross paths again and tomorrow's insanity can be forgotten by both parties in time Smile

Kat but are you actually ill?

trumpinghorse are they noxious? FDH said mine smelt like a builder's

InTheSunshine · 22/11/2010 13:33

Ooh are smelly trumps a symptom? Then I am in Grin
Sore buzwams - check
Achey womble - check
FF obsessing - check

Truffkin · 22/11/2010 13:44

I know all that you have said makes sense but would much rather be let down by arrival of droid than seeing a BFN. As droid is expected by Friday (combined with lack of any pg symptoms) I was wanting to wait until I am genuinely late before testing, so as not to get my hopes up.

I think I'll spend some time musing over it and see what TGB thinks this evening. He will be complicit in any drinking cover-up shenannigans so it makes sense to try to elicit more of a response than 'whatever you think' Hmm

AlpinePony · 22/11/2010 13:52

bitey No, but I feel constipated even though I'm not and it hurt to ride yesterday. I say they don't smell, jb says they do. Hmm But when I was newly diffed last time I was JET-propelled - the sheer volume of gas could've fuelled Birmingham for weeks. Blush I couldn't walk across the office without a giant uncontrollable trump.

Ivegotmrbitey · 22/11/2010 13:59

skihorse in the words of the great Johnny Vegas "Flatulence is like children: You tolerate other people's and relish your own" In otherwords JB is right - they smell.

truff I'm just going to loom menacingly until Friday then. Hope you don't mind?

sunisshiningtheweatherissweet where are you in terms of DPO and expecting the droid please?

kat2504 · 22/11/2010 15:13

Much better now I have stayed off work and in dressing gown all day watching crap telly. Was hideously sick on Saturday night though. Mega vomiting did not think my stomach actually contained so much water. Hopefully lurgy does not interfere with potential conception though.
Gutted my copious intake of epo and grapefruit juice had little impact the last two weeks. Dunno if this is a major thing to worry about or not. At least I am bursting with vitamins c and e!

InTheSunshine · 22/11/2010 15:22

8 DPO. Droid due on Sunday or Monday...
