MrsA I was looking at your chart and wondering - were you ill/stressed last month? It looks a bit like your body was gearing up for ovulation around CD15-16 but then didn't do it until CD22. Or is CD22ish normal for you? Just thinking it may happen sooner this month. Hope so!
Enjoy being punctured...

GetDown your poor thing. It feels like just another kick in the teeth so hard on the heels of losing a baby. Have a gentle evening and I hope tomorrow is easier.

Honestly - I go to work for the morning and look what happens - BFPs' - injured pussy cats, and shitty RTD's also arriving.
coast what fab fab news, God I hope these bfps' are catching!
split I have a lovely cat too, very loving - hates the snow and I have to forcibly eject her out of the front door in the morning to go out. When I let her in 10 minutes later she runs in screaming abuse at me (she is very vocal) but I hate it when she is poorly. She is my furry baby, until a proper non furry one arrives!
MrsA and getdown - sorry RTD arrived, I will keep my fingers crossed that we will all get BFP's next cycle - what a week that will be!
mouse I am glad you found some peace today xx I hope you start to feel more sure about this one too and are able to tell your DH when the time is right.
Wave to ladyg - glad you have stopped temping - it just causes needless worry!!

Nothing happening here, off to see DP tomorrow. I swear if I can't get there because of the snow I will have to get angry. I will bloody ski there if I have too. Look out for a loon on the news skiing down the M11!!

batteryturkey · 01/12/2010 14:51

Glad you feeling rubbish Mouse - every minor pregnancy niggle is wonderfully reassuring for me at the moment.

newyearsday · 01/12/2010 22:55

Gosh I can hardly keep up but just wanted to say hi and congrats to all the new BFPs. And a big hug to those having a difficult time xx

I'm getting on for 18wks, loving my new curves and feeling a lot less tired now. Time seems to be flying by!

Anyway, I think about you all often and catch up on news a few times a week - I really hope there's lots more BFPs for Xmas! xx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 02/12/2010 04:49

LadyGoneGaga · 02/12/2010 08:39

18 weeks, Newyears. My God, it's flying by!

I had a horrible dream last night where I started bleeding. Really hope not a premonition and is just general anxierty stuff.

Grin at Nix getting up at 4:30 for porridge. You are so pregnant!

So, should we be stalking anyone's chart at the moment. I've lost track.

And if you check my photos you will find a little festive treat Xmas Grin

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 02/12/2010 10:58

Nice photo LadyG.

Your 4am post made me smile Nix

Am posting here whilst stuck on a god awful work conference call. Total waste of my time but it's with the CEO so i have to pretend I'm interested Grin

I'm on CD10 today ladies and am already starting to feel very achy on one side by my ovaries. Is this normal? Is it just the follicles strating to grow? CM is only creamy.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 02/12/2010 11:52

love the pic ladyG - it took me a while to work out what it was made from! Grin

spilttheteaagain · 02/12/2010 15:24

Good grief newyears I remember you BFP as being about 6 weeks ago!

Fantastic photo LadyG - I can't see are they all your BFPs or have you got some BFNs in there too? Very dedicated POAS habit if they are all BFPs from the past 2 weeks Grin

I have just made a tit of myself Blush. Been for my smear, and on battery's advice mentioned recent delivery which they noted but were willing to go ahead anyway. We talked about Bobbie for the couple of mins while she did the smear and then when I was getting dressed I commented:
"Everyone says smears are terrible, but it's really not THAT bad."
Nurse: "I'm not sure terrible is the right word - but it is a bereavement isn't it?"

Oh God. She completely misheard/still had mind on previous conversation and thought I was gleefully saying giving birth to my dead baby was not THAT bad BlushBlushBlush. I was confused for a few moments and too embarrassed to correct her & repeat my ACTUAL comment, so she must think I am so heartless!

And I got in a muddle and gave her the wrong date for my last period Blush - said I was on CD14, when it is CD17. Hope that's not important.

Chart looking beautiful

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 02/12/2010 15:40

spilt sounds like it was the nurse's fault for mishearing you, I wouldn't be embarrassed about that. How awful though!! I hate when misunderstandings like that happen, and you can't correct them

Glad you got through the smear ok.

I don't think the cycle day is that important TBH.

Your chart's looking good. My temps took a decisive drop today so it's back to the old waiting game. Not sure what day to start OPKing this cycle. Last cycle was post-MC so ov was later than usual. I started OPKing in CD9 and ov didn't happen till CD23!! Thank goodness they were only cheapies!

spilttheteaagain · 02/12/2010 15:59

GetDown I was just looking at your previous charts - were you on hormonal contraception last year? Just asking because the cycle lengths have tended to get shorter since Jan, so ov has overall become earlier. Based on your 21st Sept and 26th Aug charts it looks like your body is settling to ov around CD14-16, in which case I would OPK from about CD11 (am a cheapskate, even with the cheapies!)

I usually wait to see any wet CM before I start OPKing as I seem to fairly consistently have watery/EWCM for 3-4 days and then ov the day after. Is your CM pattern consistent enough to do that?

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 02/12/2010 16:15

thanks spilt yes I was on the mini pill last year after having DD in 2007 but hated it, and came off it at the beginning of the year. Cycles have indeed tended to get shorter and shorter since then.

So am hoping, as you say, that ov is settling down to around CD 14-16, which feels much more "normal" (I was having cycles where ov was happening as late as CD32!)

I was on the combined pill before DD and it took absolutely AGES for cycle to settle down. In fact it hadn't even settled down by the time I conceived DD so never really knew what "normal" post-pill was. I don't want to go on the pill again, it seriously messed my hormones up!

I think CD11 would be a good idea to start OPKing. I do tend to get watery CM a few days before but don't find it that reliable so OPKing gives be a bit more reassurance.

Thanks for your advice spilt hope you are doing ok today?

spilttheteaagain · 02/12/2010 16:26

Ah the minipill! It wasn't Cerazette was it? I was on that for 4 years and only realised quite how much I hated it once I came off. After a few weeks I was much happier, less tired and had an interest in sex. My cycles also got shorter and shorter as I came off it (though they were nothing like as long as yours). I was also sick as a dog for 3 weeks after stopping taking it - a lovely foretaste of pregnancy! I too have no intention of going back on the pill, but also hate condoms etc hence my initial interest in FAM.

I also hoping to find out what my "normal" cycles are as I only had 3 post pill, 1 where I conceived, 1 WTF and this one I'm in the middle of. Wondering what my LP will be now.

I'm fine today thanks. Feeling ridiculously proud of myself for being smeared. My mum always dreaded it so I thought it would be worse than it was, so felt very brave to go in and get it done.

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 02/12/2010 16:31

Not Cerazette, think it was called Femulen. I found the complete absence of periods a bit disconcerting. Also felt odd on it, and my sleep was terrible. I also didn't like the fact that it didn't definitely stop ovulation, but rather stopped implantation. Didn't like the idea of a little bean having been conceived but not being able to stick on Sad

Well done for getting your smear done. No, it's not really that bad, and totally worth it for the benefit of being checked out Smile

I like the way charting helps you understand your body. I've been charting since january even though we couldn't start TTC till I came off my anti-depressants (in october) but having a year's worth of data has been invaluable!
