Hi ladies, hope you are all well - mouse congrats on your BFP!

I hope you dont think I'm being incredibly rude, but I've had to skip through the last few days posts as I was reading, but none of it wa actually going in - I'm so damn tired! I hope I havent missed anything x

I am really struggling at the mo, this cold I've got has really knocked me for six. I got sent home from work at 1pm today and promptly fell asleep on the sofa and slept until 7.30! I am in bed now, just waving hello to you guys, then back to peeps!
It seems like an age since I felt well - and I can imagine that it's only going to get worse!

I think the nausea has set in today, DH (bless him, he's been an absolute superstar the lat few days) made some tea and the smell of it (through my blocked nose) made me gip! I also tried taking some cough medicine and had to hold it in my mouth for about 10 seconds as I couldnt swallow it - though I was going to spew!
Boobs are still reasurringly massive and rock hard. Might have to start taking the padding out of my Ultimo bras now. I'm so chuffed I can actually fill them with real boob and not just gel inserts Grin

tory79 · 30/11/2010 21:34

Thanks Spilt, I wasn't sure about starting with the opk's to be honest, I have been quite happy with the temping and to be honest I think they just add another layer of stress! I think partly I was worried about my fluctuating temps at the start of this cycle and thought it might be a good thing to do....I am regretting it now!

LadyGoneGaga · 30/11/2010 22:12

Nix as a fellow mc'er the girls made me stop as I was fretting about every fluctuation. Am still POAS's though Grin

Great you're felling rubbish, Ifat - you know what I mean...defo a good sign.

coastgirl · 01/12/2010 06:40

So...a line is a line, right? Did an internet cheapie this morning and got the faintest of faint lines (which greatly confused DH as he didn't know what the hell he was looking at!). I've no doubt I will be peeing on a few more things over the next few days but that's a BFP, isn't it? Shock!

spilttheteaagain · 01/12/2010 06:57

It is, congratulations!

COAST!!!! We have matching bfp's!!!!! Fantastic :) Grin Grin [gtrin]

a line is a line!

Catch up properly later x

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 01/12/2010 07:38

Many congratulations to all the recents bfps! I hope this trend continues and rubs off on me! Can I confess to feeling a bit useless - with all the positives I feel like it's only me who can't get pg (know it's not but YKWIM). Sigh. Cd 9 so early days yet and gonna miss acupuncture tomorrow as she lives on a farm so full of snow! Am pleased for all of you honest, just feeling rubbish. Followed all the 'rules' and still no bfp.

spilttheteaagain · 01/12/2010 07:47

MrsA have a ((hug))
It is disheartening when everyone else seems to be getting BFPs and you aren't yet. Still, it could be you in 3 weeks time if this cycle works out. Keep hoping, keep SWI!

I had a really good day yesterday and felt positively cheerful for the first time in, well, a couple of months. Then today...
Cat is wounded (massively swollen paw, can't walk, yelps when touched) and needs to go to the vet. DH has gone to work. I was supposed to be working this morning but my car is broken. It is beeping at me, flashing the engine coolant warning light and smells of burning (I think it just needs more coolant, but funnily enough I have none of that...)
So I am stuck here with a sad, sick animal Sad

On the bright side I can keep an eye on him, and I don't have to battle the ice, but it's hard seeing him look so sad and I can't take him to the vet. DH is going to phone for an appointment once they're open and then hopefully nip home to take him.

OP posts:
LadyGoneGaga · 01/12/2010 08:09

Congratulations, Coast! Grin

Sorry you feel a bit down, MrsA. Sometimes it just takes a while even when perfectly timed - how long have you been trying now? Your charts show you are ovulating and nice and regular so surely only a matter of time.

Poor Spilt's cat - ouch. Funny the engine needs coolant this weather!

spilttheteaagain · 01/12/2010 08:12

Well quite Lady. Do you think snow would do?? Grin

Orchid12 · 01/12/2010 08:41

Hi all, sorry I've not been around for a while.Congratulations to all the new BFP's!!! How exciting Smile

MrsA I know the feeling, but try not to let it get to you too much (I always failed at this though I have to say!). We took nearly a year and I know we time it right every darn month which was very frustrating. You'll get there my lovely.

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 08:43

It's not just you MrsA. Perfectly timed SWI this month, and Evil Red Tide of Doom arrived this morning Sad

B*gger

spilttheteaagain · 01/12/2010 09:00

Oh pants GetDown that's rubbish Sad
Hope you're ok.

Truffkin · 01/12/2010 09:24

Hi everyone, I wanted to pop in to congratulate all the recent BFPers! A great success for charting ladies.

IfAt I hear you on the cold, we were away at the weekend and I appear to have caught mine from my mother in law. I struggled in to work yesterday and was there until nearly 8pm. I'm conferincing overnight tonight so am making the most of a bit longer in bed this morning before I have to venture out in the snow. At least I can take drugs though, ((hugs))

MrsA I can also empathise with how you are feeling. I've been charting for 4 months now after getting fed up of no BFP, I thought it would help to know when the most fertile time was. My charts show ovulation clearly each month and I have a nice 14 day luteal phase but no BFP still (yet)! I must admit that when ERTD arrived for me last week I felt most let down but FF tells me that ERTD would be due on Boxing Day this month so a BFP would be a great Christmas present Grin

Still, feelin ill is sending my temps all over the place at the moment. Hope it settles down soon, I'm expecting to OV probably next Thursday so would like to be able to see a clear shift.

Hope all you pg ladies are taking care of yourselves in the snow!

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 09:25

Thanks spilt feeling kind of low, but had half been expecting it.

Was my first cycle after MC, so I suppose it would have been too lucky to conceive again first time.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 01/12/2010 09:52

getdown PANTS & ARSE the red witch arrived, damn damn (((((hugs)))) mrsA it will happen, I am so sure of it. Charting gives you so much more control. A much higher rate of conception when charting which is fab, but i know all too well how BFP's on here can make you feel. Happy & delighted for others, but you so so want it for yourself. Could be your cycle this month. I do so hope so x

spilt your poor poor moggie :( i am a moggie lover (currently got my big grey boy cat wrapped around my foot as i am on craptop) how has he hurt it? poor thing! They are quite resilient though. I hope he/she is washing it, that will help. Bit of a shame you have to stay in the warmth and look after your cat rather than brave the ice and cold Grin get those feet up x

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 01/12/2010 09:52

Lady I feel guilty for admitting this but I've been charting since June and properly TTC for 4 months, so I have no right to be getting frustrated, especially as DD took 12m to conceive.

That's my problem - I obsess and stress and worry if thinsg don't happen immediately. And then that could be affecting my ov!

I am trying really hard to keep calm, just chart, SWI every other day from CD14 until CD26 and then forget about it and plan for Xmas.

Thanks for your comments all and getdown I am so sorry - have a glass of wine tonight.

On the upside, I have a night out with DP tonight - off to see Harry Potter!

spilttheteaagain · 01/12/2010 10:34

Hello Truff!

Thanks Nix. I don't know what he's done. It seems to be the pad of his paw that is hurting so much, and the whole foot is swollen. It looks a bit bruised. He just tried to get off the sofa and walk and limped and howled for 6 steps and then spent about 5 mins trying to sit comfortably again whilst still making horrible pained meows Sad. I hate it when they are hurt, I can't reassure him and he can't tell me what's wrong. Vets at 12.00.

Hope you enjoy HP MrsA

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 01/12/2010 10:43

Poor Puddy :( its hideous when you cant help them. Hopefully the vet will give him a shot and that will help :)

mousebacon · 01/12/2010 10:57

Hi ladies, hope you are well. The snow here is ridiculous but thankfully we made it to the crem on time. The service was lovely, very simple but catered for all. DH taking me for pub lunch later (it's rare we have a day off together). Went to church afterwards and lit a candle. Feel a sense of peace now.

Feel v guilty for not sharing my positive test news with DH but don't want to be the cause of more heartache. Still worried it might be a molar pg or AF is going to come any minute. Temps aren't as high as I'd like so can't shake the feeling this isn't real. Ugh. Hopefully more tests will arrive today and I can test again. No real symptoms to report but they didn't kick in till 7 weeks last time. Fingers crossed please.

spilt sorry your cat is poorly, hope he's on the mend soon.

Well done coast a line is a line! Smile

arch don't feel guilty - when we decide we want a baby we want one NOW and any delay is always hard.

How you feeling nix ?

Sorry about RTD getdown CD2 is always an easier day xx

love to all xx

spilttheteaagain · 01/12/2010 12:42

Back from vets. He's had his paw washed and it oozed pus. They gave him a long lasting antibiotic injection and anti inflamatories. Hopefully it will get better quickly. He's now sat in the (clean) litter tray having a wash! Poor little soldier.

mouse I'm so glad the service was special and helped you. Hope you find the right time to tell DH your news when you're ready.

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 13:01

mouse so glad you have a sense of peace now, well done for getting through it, and hope you enjoy your time together with DH today.

Glad pussy cat is back from vets spilt and hope paw heals quickly.

I have been in work this morning, finished at 12, just rushed back to take over looking after DD. Only just had time to stop. The sadness of AF arriving has just hit me and I'm having a little cry Sad

LadyGoneGaga · 01/12/2010 13:13

Hugs, Getdown. Was this the end of your WTF cycle? You may well fall next cycle, hon. x

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 13:16

Yes this was the end of the WTF cycle... so I know it was silly to get my hopes up for this cycle, but even so... why do I feel so low?

I know you got pregnant the cycle after your WTF Lady so hoping for me too...

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 01/12/2010 14:24

Oh hope your cat gets better soon spilt. Our cat, Mr Basil, is terrorised by DD as he is an old man but he has passed a little blood recently so a trip to the vets is in order here too.

Am feeling a bit more positive today. My lovely irish acupuncturist who lives at the end of a farm track is picking me up in her 4x4 at the village pub, so no worries about missing session due to snow.

Chart looking slightly more stable than last month - temps higher, which is what she wanted to see after 2 sessions of acupuncture. Hoping this means my cycle is smoother and ov doesn't take till CD25!!

Chart here
