Ouch battery that's gotta hurt!

Waves at evferyone - too many on the thread now to name check all but hi all and hope everyone feeling OK.

spilt what you said about Bobbie and your new pg was very moving and very understandable. Do not feel guilty or bad - you will never forget Bobbie. Life finds a way.

chart here]]

No ov yet, though still getting sharp ov pains but then have done for the past few days. Sigh, gonna be another long cycle methinks.

I'm really bad at not drinking tea or liquids - does it really affect opks that much? I may stop using them after this cycle and just rely on CM and temps.

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/12/2010 11:06

Hi all,
I slept much better last night (10 hours Shock) thank goodness, so feeling a bit more positive today. It?s given me just a little bit of a dip on my chart though ?. Hmm I was very deeply asleep last night clearly!

Terrys what did you decide on the clearblue digis? Are you going to do one, or leave it? Sorry if I seemed a bit dismissive before. It?s just I know that if you do one, and it gives you a 1-2 week reading, it can be pretty depressing and leaves you wondering if something is wrong.

Iwish sorry to hear that your TTC buddy is proudly showing their 12 week scan pics. I can understand how you feel. There are loads of my FB friends who?ve got scan pics as their profile pic, or newborns in arms!! It?s hard. Your time will come, I?m sure it will.

battery - ouch re your vet bill!! And not what you need just before Christmas! When our dog cut her paw on a piece of glass the bill came to over £400! Thankfully she was insured, so we only had to pay the excess (still nearly £100 though!). I guess you just have to swallow these kind of unexpected bills, for a much loved pet.

MrsP what CD are you on now (sorry I can?t keep up!) Hope you are good, and feeling positive.

MrsA I?m with you on the waiting for ov thing. I ov?d on CD23 last cycle, but as it was a WTF cycle I thought that was the reason why it was late. Was hoping for CD14 or so this cycle but no joy so far. What I thought was EWCM also seems to have dried up today and is back to creamy Confused and Sad

I know what you mean about the tea drinking. I struggle to limit my fluid intake before an OPK too. I love my tea. I don?t know how much it affects things. Last cycle I got a positive at 2pm (after 4 hours holding my pee) and I did another one at 6pm (Blush) having NOT held my pee or limited fluid and I still got a strong positive. So maybe it doesn?t affect things that much after all?

Hoping for you that ov will show up soon. I would like to give up the OPKs too as I find them a bit of a pain TBH. Don?t know if I will though, as I don?t find my cervix or CM that reliable (or is it just me being v bad at interpreting them Confused)

Anyway all, hope you are all ok. Sorry for missing people out, just gone with the most recent posters. xxxx

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/12/2010 11:07

spilt sorry love, you posted too. How are you doing today??

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/12/2010 11:46

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 15/12/2010 16:47

Hi ladies, sorry for the absence..hotel with rubbish wifi!

Catch up properly!!

mouse fab you told DH Xmas Grin of course he is delighted!!!!

spilt i am on serious knicker checking duty also!!! Very wet! Keep saying a little prayer every time i go to check!!

getdown sorry for the mech sex :( we too were having mech sex not much fun... you will get it back lovely. OPKs and temping will come together are you on long cycles? Do you know roughly when you should start/target swimmers? Thankfully (sorry this is not gloating) every time i have conceived i have shagged on day 18! and bam...i am not great with SFF normally and SWI for a reason!! Couldnt have coped for more than i needed to!! Poor DH!

Iwish sorry re the ttc buddy :( its horrid. My ttc buddy gave birth the day i got my bfp!! (and i had got pg/miscarried and got pg again during that time!)

spilt i like this fred too :)

getdown 10 hourse... gosh can i come and stay? Either you are worn out from SWI or you have ZEN! Gah lucky if i get 5 :(

Batt not good vet bill, is puss insured? What was wrong? did she have an op? any idea how it happened?!

I am fine, hideous couple of work days with stress upto eyeballs! Long day yest and 2 nights in a hotel :( poor DS doesnt get to see mummy so quite sad about that, especially as he slept really well last night... and i didnt GRR!!!

Ooh izz, Fedup MrsA and MrsB

Iwish · 15/12/2010 18:03

Hi all!

battery I hope your puddy tat is better after the v expensive vets bill!

mrsa I am rubbish at holding my wee/not drinking. I do my opk at 5pm when I get home from work (as well as one at 7am) and I can't drink from 12:00 otherwise I wouldn't make it home! Xmas Smile. I hope you OV soon.

Thanks getdown. a lot of my friends have pics of their scans and babies on their FB too - jealousy is a horrible thing but I suppose it's only natural for us ttcers :). I hope your eggy turns up soon for you too.

Hi nix thanks :). I hope your work gets a little less stressful and you can spend time with your DS soon.

Hi mouse, split and battery. Hope you are ok today 'waves'

I hope I havnt missed anyone. Sorry if I have.

I was so excited when I got home from work - I had some stretchy but v watery cm! Must be a good sign. Still -ve opk though. Does my chart say anything to you guys or is it just boring?... my chart

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/12/2010 18:17

nix - hah! I wish I had 10 hours sleep every night. I am actually a bit of an insomnic (we've got a massive long insomnia thread going over on the mental health section, on which I am a regular!)

I think sometimes though it all catches up with me and I have these massive long binge sleeps! The night before last I only got about 3 hours Sad Plays havoc with your charts, I tell you!

thanks re. the mech sex thing. It's rubbish isn't it? I hate it. Sex when you don't feel remotely turned on just feels wrong somehow. But I know it's a necessity Grin Still, it's supposed to be our "on" night tonight (one night on, one night off) but my CM seems to have gone back to creamy, and only very slightly stretchy, so I don't think I can be bothered. Unless DH really manages something special!

I've ordered TCOYF from the library so am going to have a look at it - see if Toni can tell me anything I don't already know!!

Some depressing news from me also - just found out today that I am being made redundant Sad The day before my birthday, and 10 days before Christmas - GREAT. Sad Ah well, didn't exactly love my job anyway, but it's a bit of a pain money-wise.

Hi there Iwish had a look at your chart, it does look quite high in temp variation to me, but that's because I'm used to celsius, and I believe temps can look more spread out on a farenheit chart. I'm sure it's fine. Looks from your CM that your body is gearing up for ov. When do you normally ov roughly??

rosieposey · 15/12/2010 18:31

Hello all, can i join in? I posted on the conception boards up until a couple of months ago and have had a bit of a break since then.

I have started charting again this month but its not a great month to start charting though as my temps are all over the place due to an upper respiritory virus - seem to just be coming out of the other side now though.

I am backing up with a cbfm too and got the go ahead a couple of days ago so think either today or tomorrow should be 1dpo, one thing i havent missed is the two week wait!

Well will read back a few pages and try and keep up with you all every day, heres hoping it is a lucky thread :)

spilttheteaagain · 15/12/2010 18:50

Oh GetDown I am sorry Sad How long until you have to actually leave?

Weirdly I had similar news today. Our department restructure has been announced and I am one of 4 people who have to apply for just 2 jobs, so 50:50 that I will be redundant. If I am I'll be finishing around June/July which actually would be fabulous if this pregnancy sticks! Got to apply by end Jan for the jobs.

Hello to everyone else and welcome rosie Smile

Now... who wants to volunteer to start the next thread?? As digi observed on page 1, legend has it the thread starter gets a BFP and here I am at 4+3!

OP posts:
Iwish · 15/12/2010 18:57

getdown I think the last cycles have been 12/13 and 18 ish but not 100% sure as I wasn't temping etc. I just went off when I had ewcm which only lasted one day. I have had some random cycles - 27, 25, 26 32. I hope I OV soon, I'm just so impatient.
I'm so sorry you are being made rudundant, it's awful especially around christmas. I got made redundant 5 years ago on 18th December and again this January but have managed to get a job within the company.

Welcome Rosie hope you are ok? Fingers crossed this will be your month Xmas Smile

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/12/2010 18:58

Oooo ME ME! For starting the next thread Grin

Sorry to hear you've had similar bad news spilt re your job. I don't think I'd actually have to go until next October, but if I take voluntary redundancy I get more money but would have to go by end of March. Really wishing I was pregnant so I could have a kind of "end point" and not have to worry about getting another job Sad

Welcome rosieposey I remember you! Didn't you keep getting really really faint positives for a while? And you were going to the dr. about it? What happened? Anyway, hope you've had a nice break from TTC and coming back feeling strengthened and refreshed for another try!

Iwish · 15/12/2010 19:01

Hi split sorry to hear you have had sone bed news too. Fingers crossed you get the outcome you want.

Fedupttcnosuccess · 15/12/2010 19:13

Hi ladies!
A very warm welcome to Rosie! Missed your absence from these threads. Seriously wishing you lots of luck in getting your BFP this time around FX.
Please forgive me for just waving to all of you again, and wishing you lots of good luck! Back in hospital with mil after the weekend: literally out for under a day, her condition deteriorated drastically upon discharge, so we're back at the hospital again.
Apologies for not reading back. Sorry for the me me me post. Dh will be back by the end of the week, so hopefully there'll be less pressure. Poor mil. Can't bear to see her suffer. Very emotional at the mo. Keep my place please ladies. Hope to see lots of BFPs on my return.
Not the same posting from iPhone.
xxxxx

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/12/2010 19:18

Oh I am so sorry to hear that Fedup Sad your poor MIL! And it's very hard on you too, to have to be with her at the hospital esp. with DH away.

Hope she picks up a bit soon.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/12/2010 19:28

Oh Getdown and spilt sorry to hear about your job woes. Whatever your circumstances, change is always hard to cope with, even if it's a good thing in the long run. DP was made redundant out of the blue in 2005 and then had to start legal proceedings to get his redundancy pay. Twas a hard hard time, thank god we had legal protection on the house insurance - they paid for a barrister.
But it actually worked out well. He used his redundancy money, when it finally arrived, to start his own business and it's going quite well now plus he's his own boss.

Getdown fight you for the new thread creation Xmas Grin

And whoever mentioned it - how do you have stretchy AND watery CM?? Mine is tailing off now - still EWCM but very clear and less stretchy. When I get bucket loads, it is often opaque and cloudy but is so stretchy I could hang my washing on it Xmas Grin

Fedup big hugs. Hope things are bearable Xmas Sad

spilttheteaagain · 15/12/2010 19:29

Oh Fedup how awful Sad
Me me me posts are fine, we all need to write them sometimes. I really hope the hospital can help your MIL. Take care of yourself x

OP posts:
Fedupttcnosuccess · 15/12/2010 19:38

Thankyou Gerdown, MrsA and Spilt. I feel so alone at the moment. I'm very strong normally, but this has knocked me for six- the reality of the fragile nature of life, it's just really shocking when it's this close. Sorry for the melancholy. I'll probably find another avenue to vent my sad thoughts. I just keep crying for no reason.
Keep positive ladies. You are too kind. Really wish you all the luck in the world. FX for lots more BFPs. xxx

rosieposey · 15/12/2010 19:59

Thanks for the welcome all :)

getdown i didnt go to the doctors in the end as i knew it would mean lots of poking around and epau visits probably and i hate those places Blush but i was really worried about those faint positives so i went to the nurse and asked for a smear as i was around a year overdue and as you know i was worried about cancer or a tumour, thank goodness it all came back fine so i thought i would try again this month. I havent done anymore internet cheapy hpt's but I did notice that i got all of the problems of faint positives with IC hpts and never anything on clearblue or FRER so im sticking with waiting till im a day late and will only use non IC hpts just to put my mind at ease as i dont seem to have much luck with them.
So sorry to hear about your job - what a shitty time of year for it to happen :(

fedup i am so sorry to hear about your MIL :( hope she makes some progress soon.

iwish havent looked at your chart but just to say i get some really random days for ov - this month as i have said its the earliest this month and it has been as late as cd23 but i think ewcm seems to be the best indicator of impending ovulation.

Ohhh i was just thinking the same thing about 'mech' sex. For us it used to be quality not quantity especially since we had DS but since we have been ttc there is a 5/6 day concentrated swi time and by the end of it we are ready for a rest!

spiltthetea are you pg? read upthread a little and I will try and read back a bit but if so congratulations :)

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/12/2010 20:23

Oops, welcome Rosie didn't mean to ignore you!

Iwish · 15/12/2010 20:26

Hi mrsa 'twas I who mentioned the strange cm. It is different to the ewcm I get, usually (tmi alert) it's fairly thick ish and very stretchy but this was very thin bit still a bit stretchy....wierd.

Hi fedup nice to meet you. Sorry your MIL is sick, hope she gets better and hope DHs return helps to relieve the pressure and so you don't feel so alone.

rosie. Thanx :). My DP and I are trying every other day then when we see +ve opk will do every day. He's having a rest today and is happy about it... Charming! Bless him tho I have worn him out these last few months.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 15/12/2010 20:44

PMSL at washing line CM Xmas Grin mrsa

POO BOO and HISS getdown and spilt re the job situation. :(

welcome rosie* this certainly is the lucky one!

fedup sorry you are having such a hideous time with MIL sickness and hospital. Cant be easy am sure xx

MrsP81 · 15/12/2010 20:56

Hi everyone and welcome to rosie. I think I know you from a past bus.

getdown sorry to hear about redundancy (and you spilt). I am on CD5 today so nothing exciting happening here. Just waiting for AF to go away properly and then the SWI can commence!

I didn't get a proper +ve OPK last month although I did get some pale lines so I used those as a guide. I've decided not to use them this month as I think they stress me out a bit.

Hugs to fedup, hope things start looking up soon.

Hope all you pg ladies have some lovely symptoms. Xmas Smile

spilttheteaagain · 15/12/2010 21:18

rosie I am indeed. A massive 4 weeks and 3 days today.

Knackered today though and am now in bed after sleeping on the sofa from 8pm. Here we go again Smile

OP posts:
batteryturkey · 15/12/2010 21:21

Hello :)

Welcome rosie

getdown and split rubbish about your jobs - I really hope something comes up for you soon x
fedup - it sounds like you are going through a tough time - take care of your self too x
iwish I seem to have gone CM mad - I know I have ov'd but am now getting more cm - who knows what my body is thinking!
mrsa I am also due on xmas day - we can be cycle buddies :)

Cat news - the £325 is for xrays and drugs, etc -she hasn't had any treatment yet! She has done her ligament but its specialist op so will cost a bomb. I don't know what to do :( she is insured but I still have to pay 20% (more than insurance - never go with them)

No other news from me - I am so tired I could weep, but it's that time of year I suppose.

Big wave to everyone else xxx

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/12/2010 21:48

MrsP I'm with you on the opks. I'm on CD23, due to ov any day now but suspect it might have been today as ov pain dying away. I haven't had any +opks this cycle but have had faint lines, which i suspect means I missed the window, so I think I might stop testing.

If last cycle anything to go by, even if I do ov today, my temp will rise slowly till friday, so no clear day. Hey ho. Off to bed soon, it's our day 'on'
