Hi all
I didn't want to hop on a bus because i'm not really aiming for a specific month to have a baby in so i thought i'd start a general "trying to conceive a 2011 baby" and see if anyone wants to join me :D

haha! im not sure actually South. i started drinking it from a couple of days after ov i think but implantation can be between 7-10dpo but sometimes earlier and later so no harm giving it a go Grin
how long have you been ttc?

SouthvilleBeeHive · 22/01/2011 19:51

This is the first proper month of trying, so I'm really not expecting anything (can't help obsessing though!) but I'm up for trying anything that might help :) Also, as things go, pineapple juice is a pretty good option. Beats the hell out of some of the disgusting teas a friend suggested Shock

Unicornlover · 22/01/2011 20:32

I'm now 11dpo and already bit sicky and very tender boobs. fatigue has also hit me. did one of these online probability tests that came back at 80% but will just have to wait and see if it's accurate. ended up POAS with FMU yesterday, just to see if anything would show. not sure if i imagined the very very faint line. so am going to retest probably monday to see if anything comes up then.

weimy · 23/01/2011 11:11

Well I am out, I have the usual brown spotting that I get. :( Last one was late this one early.

effyzm · 23/01/2011 15:27

afternoon every1. having no symptoms what so ever Sad. i am now thinking about testing on thursday instead of Sat but is early testing really worth it??

what is pineapple supposed to do i haven't heard anything about it??

what cheap tests is everyone buying?

weimy im sorry to hear that Sad

weimy · 23/01/2011 15:34

effy thanks!

I got mine with opks off ebay, just strips with no plastic holder around them :)

weimy · 23/01/2011 15:35

Ps
I would hold off till it is late if I were you.

SouthvilleBeeHive · 23/01/2011 15:57

Weimy So sorry it's not happening this month, big hugs [hug]

I bought some cheap tests in Asda the other day-3 for £1.45 (I think). Apart from being cheaper, there's also less plastic waste, so I don't feel as though I'm filling my own landfill if I get obsessive about testing Grin

mslk · 23/01/2011 16:29

Afternoon ladies.

Welcome Southville

Hi weimy, hope it's not af but implantation instead?

Iwish what's with the pineapple juice. Can't stand pineapple so won't be drinking it so just nosey to know.

I'm still feeling icky every now and again and have had cramps but I'm not sure it will amount to anything, been here before!

Let's hope this week brings some BFP's

smiliebaby · 23/01/2011 16:47

Hey guys!
Hope you dont mind me joining you.
I've bought loads of the cheapy tests in B & M Bargins, lol. Im so eager when I'm even a second late, even though i've had no positives as of yet... they seem to be accurate (unfortunatly).

Weimy, dont give up hope! I'm sure it wont be long for you.

Hi effy, I'm the same, I'm always testing early and then feeling so disappointed. I wish you all the luck in the world!

Iwish · 23/01/2011 19:59

flippin eck you lot have been busy again :)

Mslk and Effy the pineapple juice is supposed to be good for implantation, supposed to make it all sticky for the eggy to stick to :) thought i may aswell give it a try lol

Weimy How early is it? could be implantation like mslk said

mslk wonder what the ickyness and cramps are, maybe you are nearing OV? i get cramps from OV.

Effy i buy cheap tests on ebay too, i got 35 opks, 15 early pg tests and a bbt therm for about a tenner but you can buy about 30 pg tests for a fiver.

Unicorn oooh im intreagued, try again monday and see if the line has got darker, if so BFP BFP!!

Hi South hope you are ok

Welcome Smiliebaby :)

7dpo for me now

mslk · 23/01/2011 20:19

Hey Iwish I wonder if there is anything else other than pineapple that is supposed to help, I can't stand the stuff Grin
I think it's too late to be anything to do with OV, all other OV signs have vanished IYKWIM. Probably nature just playing tricks on me.

Let us know how you get on tomorrow Unicorn Smile

smiliebaby · 23/01/2011 20:41

Thank you Iwish!

I've wondered what else can help too mslk.

I've been having problems ovulating, has anyone else tried clomid?
What are your thoughts about it.

Iwish · 23/01/2011 20:42

Hey mslk I think brazil nuts ar supposed o help too - cant remember why though. I tried Grapefruit juice this month to help with EWCM but i hate the stuff, i was glad when i finished it - wont be drinking that again. DP said it tastes like moultern plastic lol! Strange why you have cramps then, will have to see what happens in the next couple of days. Maybe your body playig tricks x

I really wish i could see inside my body right now!

Iwish · 23/01/2011 20:44

Hi Smilie sorry cross post :)
I havnt tried Clomid but have heard of it and have heard a few people mention it. i would say google it but sometime google isnt the best place - as i know all too well lol

smiliebaby · 23/01/2011 20:51

Hmmm.. I googled and I think I might just see how I go naturally for now. Chance of multiple babies didnt appeal to me!

I've been using the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor and now on Day 22 with low ovulation.

What days do you find you normally ovulate?
I'm really beginning to get quite worried!

Iwish · 23/01/2011 20:59

I ov'd on cd17 this month and last month it was cd16 but i have had one cycle where i was between 18 and 21 (not exactly sure as i wasnt temping then) . i wouldnt worry too much yet, a lot of people ov a little later.
how long are your cycles usually?

smiliebaby · 23/01/2011 21:09

Normally 28-30 days. I don't know if I should carry on using the monitor because if I am ovulating I'm not sure what day it is and I could be missing it completely!
I dont record my temp, perhaps I should start.

The most frustrating thing is... I just found out my dog is pregnant!! Nice for some!Hmm

Iwish · 23/01/2011 21:22

you could try temping, it'll confirm you have ov'd but only after 3 higher temps. i do opks too, you can get them really cheap. i use fertility friend so put my temp in every day and it does everything for me, i only use the free membership, didnt fancy paying the extra. heres my chart so you can have a nosey :)
chart

you might have a short LP. aparently the usual LP is 14 days but mine is only 11 so i OV on day 17 of a 28 day cycle.

OMG how frustrating lol!

fragglerocks · 23/01/2011 21:24

Hi guys, thought I would join you!
This is our 1st month TTC, fingers crossed!
Good luck to you all!

fragglerocks · 23/01/2011 21:29

Ooh i'm so confused with all the acronyms, hopefully I'll understand what you're all talking about soon!

smiliebaby · 23/01/2011 21:35

Thank you for your help!
Where did you buy your thermometer from?

I think I'll try the fertility friend, it looks easier than doing it myself!

I just want to know whats going on with my body!

Hello fraggle good luck to you too :)

Iwish · 23/01/2011 21:45

Yeh FF is quite good for recording everything, you can record opks and SWI. If you go through my chart and go up to the top theres a join free tab.

i got my opks and therm from ebay. this is the link to the exact ones i got cgi.ebay.co.uk/BASAL-THERMOMETER-50-OVULATION-PREGNANCY-TESTS-chart-/310114531942?pt=UK_Health_HealthCare_RL&hash=item4834443a66

its frustrating not knowing whats going on, we are on month 6 of ttc and am wondering whats taking so log. i need to be able to see inside my body!!

Welcome Fraggle! you will catch up with all the lingo soon enough, if you arent sure let us know and we will tell you what it all stands for :)

smiliebaby · 23/01/2011 22:00

Great thanks, I'll buy them tomorrow!

We've been TTC since we got married in September, it took me 2 months to get my periods back after being on the pill for 6 years so I'm a bit all over the place at the moment trying to get my cycle back to normal!

Are you trying for #1?

I hope it happens for you soon, you seem like a nice kind person :)

SouthvilleBeeHive · 23/01/2011 22:28

Hi ladies,

Hello smilie and fraggle, hope all goes well :)

iwish can I join in the chant? Grin

effy wow that's amazing value! I must remember to look up the ebay tests!

Having a weird day today-had 3 days of sore boobs, now tingling on and off as they did when I was breastfeeding DD, but having period-type cramps today :(

Today is cd24, cycle sometimes 28 days, sometimes 35! Could be long cycle implant symptoms, or just due on! And to think-I was going to try to relax about the whole thing ;) Hey ho
