Ah f#%k.

hairytriangle I'm so sorry. That's just so crappy I can't believe it. I just don't understand why one person gets so much shit luck and another goes sailing through. Not that I wish shit on anyone else but that the sailing through could be a bit more evenly distributed. Anyway, I'm so sorry hairyt, hope you're moving through the referrals, confirmation etc without too much extra stress at this difficult time.

And an additional crappola from me. My temps plummeted today practically down to coverline. My zen evaporated (obviously is sham zen, only applies while I can hang on to some hope) and I wailed and snotted on dh's chest. Right now I feel like I could stay in my dark cozy nest all day, but I don't think ds will allow that and it's my day at home with him today.

To add to the gloom tomorrow is my due date from 1st pregnancy this year. It would have felt so right to have tested and seen a positive but no, fate/god/whatever has decided that is too neat a story. Neither will I be pg on my birthday this month and get to smile as I sip sparkling water. I'm sorry, poor me poor me - you know what it's like though. And I'll bounce back in a while. But today I think I'll say ah f#%k it a few more times.

PinkFondantFancy · 10/11/2010 08:07

lady so sorry :( Maybe it's a one off blip and they'll be back tomorrow. If AF does show up though I'm so sorry, like you say, it would have been a lovely consolation to have got your BFP at your due date and to have been pg for your birthday. Gutted for you honey. You have summed up so eloquently what I've been struggling to express for ages, it's not that I wish bad stuff on other people, just wish easy plain sailing was more evenly dished out. If AF does show up I hope you'll be drinking something more exciting than sparkling water on your birthday. I hope DS cheers you up today xx

(((((((((BEE)))))))))))))

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 10/11/2010 08:44

(((( ladybee )))) sorry it looks like she's coming Sad. I know exactly what you mean about zen, it's relatively easy to stay calm and positive when you're secretly thinking "but maybe..." then when the maybe goes, you realise that the calm and positivity goes with it. It's so tough.

I hate too that the good luck isn't very well distributed, and I hate that everything seems such a battle, like you having to fight for some treatment that might actually help. I think at the low times it's the strength of the wonderful ladies on this thread that keeps me going, there are some amazing people on here and it stops the whole thing being so damn lonely.

I'm hoping for a bfp this cycle, in time for my due date at Christmas, but like you I suspect that may just be too "neat". I hope you have a lovely day with ds today (why don't you spoil yourselves and do something special - or just have a lazy day depending on your mood) and that maybe the temps will jump back up tomorrow. Anyway we're here if you need to rant ((hugs))

sunchild77 · 10/11/2010 10:04

Awww just lurking as ever, but wanted to say how sorry I am to hairy , what sad news for you, its such a slap in the face. I echo the others and hope that you are being looked after well :(

bee Im sorry that AF seems to be on its way too.

Hope to see more BFPs on here very very soon!!

Good luck to yous all..

nickstermum · 10/11/2010 10:08

fondant 8.30 into central london not good.... i had a 9.30am meeting in bristol yesterday (from cheshire) but i think yours topps mine Grin

Sorry lovely i meant to post about the chinese herbs and forgot Hmm total lack of commitment i see!

My friend who had fertility problems, was undergoing IVF and she started with acupuncture whilst she was doing it. She too was given chinese herbs to take (no idea waht they were but it was a big joke amongst us that if she concieved the baby would have to have a chinese name!) Ironically she did conceive with that cycle (she had been trying for years, never even had a late AF, temped for years.... then had 5 attempts at IVF and 2 MC's followed by a DD now age2) , but she did MC that cycle...she did go on however to have a little girl via IVF.
She always wondered, was it the herbs or was it the acupuncture that helped! Didnt do her any harm at all.... she had already had 1 MC before starting to take the herbs so didnt think they contributed.

Does that make sense? a long story condensed down!!

Interestingly what they say about IVF is that its accumulative, in that the more you do it the greater the chance of conception. She was told by specialists due to elevated FSH level, that the chance of successful conception was only 5% so she was quite prepared to try anything!

Why dont you wait to see if your AF arrives, and if it doesnt then start? Its perhaps not something you need to take if conceived?
If you arent pg could the acu be having an effect on cycle?

any news babes?

nickstermum · 10/11/2010 10:10

Sorry pink it doesnt make sense. Wait to see if your AF arrives, if it does then start, and if it doesnt Chinese herbs wont matter!!!!! xx

inbetweener · 10/11/2010 10:11

Morning all,
hairy I am so so so sorry. It must be devastating to have to go through this again. Im so sorry.

pink and izzy I hope both of you get your BFP's soon too I really do. You both deserve a break and some of that good luck to come your way.

Well I am 5 days late with AF now and feel very lucky and blessed to say I had a BFP this morning. It was faint with a FR but it was there.
I have no idea why its so late to show and I have no symptoms to speak of, no sore boobs, no AF cramps nothing so I am being cautious and just waiting to see what happens.

nickstermum · 10/11/2010 10:30

nickstermum · 10/11/2010 10:39

fondant just had a friend update on the chinese herbs. She says took them for 6 months during the last IVF cycle (so i lied) and that was the difference in her opinion and hence she now has a DD.

thought i would share it... off to do some pretend work

youremindmeofthebabe · 10/11/2010 10:49

hola! Just a quicky to say tested this am and a bfn. Congratulations to inbetweener though! Back sfter lunch for proper postage x

Wombat33 · 10/11/2010 10:56

Big hugs bee. You sum it all up so well.

Hugs also to yrotb sorry about the bfn.

Huge congrats to Inbetweener!!! I'm Grin Grin Grin for you and a little bit Sad and Envy for myself. It's a weird emotional rollercoaster this TTC after MC thing. I really hope you have a very smooth and stress-free 8 months!

Hello to everyone else xxx

Ladybee · 10/11/2010 10:59

inbetweener that's brilliant news! See? It was just a slow burner, maybe it implanted late so took a while for those hcg levels to rise. Who knows the main thing is you are on the next step on your journey - hooray!!!!!

Thanks ladies for the hugs and warm words, it does help. You understand so well - right down to tiny little voice saying "maybe they'll go back up" Grin

I don't think they will though, I can feel that deep heaviness in my back that normally sets in the day before. Sigh.

I wonder if I should do anything different this cycle? Maybe I'll add in grapefruit juice. Thing is, I don't think there's much wrong with my cycle, maybe a little short on the luteal phase but still over 10 days. Guess it's still v early - getting pg quickly after mc 1 this year has obviously made me have too high expectations this time.

Sorry youremindme Sad

AandRMum · 10/11/2010 11:00

pink just to add to the chinese herb stories - my DSis took them along with acupuncture and swears by them. She tried for a year or so to get pregnant with number DD1 and had a failed IVF but conceived naturally on the next cycle (interesting concept of higher fertility after IVF?!).

Despite this story I just can't bring myself to take them. I struggle taking anything stronger than a paracetamol and even think twice about that though?!

Betweener how wonderfully exciting whilst I understand your caution I just have to whoop and holler ...........

My DD1 has just toilet trained DD2 - I came downstairs to find DD1 wiping DD2's bottom after her having done her first poo on the loo!!!!

nickstermum · 10/11/2010 11:05

A&R interestingly i have a friend who ttc for years post car accident (bent tubes/blocked etc) and struggled with failed IVF.... so she changed her husband and now has 2 naturally conceived children! Grin Grin Grin

AandRMum · 10/11/2010 11:06

Wow what an explosion of messages - babe fx for a late implantation.

wombat here is hoping your zen returns soon. Months feel like a lifetime at the moment but I am hoping that when we all look back this will just be a small moment of sorrow and torment in a lifetime of family and joy.

owlboots · 10/11/2010 11:19

Good lord, all sorts going on in here.

Another massivehuge hug for Hairy x

Bee sorry you're feeling crappy. Hope today isn't too bad - and that you get the chance to treat yourself and MiniBee to take your mind off it.

YRMOTB bugger @ the evil BFN.

Inbetweener Whoop! Well done you & may you have the most boring uneventful 8 months ever :)

PFF and Nix I too would be hesitating over the 'chinese herbs' after all, what exactly are they? Maybe if you knew what they actually were you could at least look them up online. I'm currently trying to avoid too much woo as I figure I got prg without it last time. Having said that I have tried out the grapefruit juice this month just for the hell of it. It does seem to have worked, astonishingly, although seriously drinking it first thing in the morning.

inbetweener · 10/11/2010 11:38

Thank you all for your kind words. I felt like it wasnt the most appropriate time to announce my BFP this morning so thank you Blush

ladybee I had the absolute same at the weekend. I was convinced AF was on her way becuase I had back pain, cramps and a BFN. I even had 2 vodka and tonics on saturday night I was so sure ! I am shitting myself about those now !!So dont give up. As someone else said to me, it clearly isnt over until she arrives !

Urbanlolly · 10/11/2010 11:50

Yeah! betweener so delighted for you....& just a llittle bit glad not to be on my own in limbo land.... No real symptoms either not particularly tired, no sore boobs, just some funney feelings down below!

(((((((BIG HUGS TO EVERYONE)))))))
really feeling for everyone struggling at the moment fx for some more good news very soon XXXXXXX

Wombat33 · 10/11/2010 12:23

Thanks AandRmum, my DH said something similar last night - along the lines of: "oh when we've got 4 DCs tearing around the house creating mayhem we'll look back on now and think it was only a blip" Grin 4?? Grin

appleblossoms · 10/11/2010 12:37

HUGE congrats inbetweener!!! Hurray Hurray!
Really hoping for a nice and boring 8 months, and that you get nice and sicky soon. Wink

nickstermum · 10/11/2010 12:40

owls it does work doesnt it.....? its better mixed with fresh orange. I am abstaining this month due to the effects on my CM! want to see what it does naturally iykwim

babes lovely girl...... :( perhaps its too early xxxxxx x sending burrowing thoughts in case it is xxxxx

owlboots · 10/11/2010 12:49

But then I'd have to drink twice as much liquid which would all taste of grapefruit

Maybe I should drink it in the evening instead, mixed with vodka like this

Vodka is a TTC-friendly thing, right? Grin
