Great news, MummyA :) V.v. pleased for you but I should warn you, the weather is shit over here at the mo Grin bring your biggest woolly jumper.

Wombat your breakfast sounds top. All you need is a bacon butty too and that's a perfectly balanced meal...well maybe not but it'd be very nice :)

Kat welcome to the CBFM club!

PFF I have no idea what a triphasic chart looks like but I shall cross my fingers that it is one as they seem to be generally known as a Good Thing :)

Big wave to everyone else :)

HidingInTheBackRow · 09/11/2010 11:32

Woolly jumper?! I would recommend some kind of wading suit if the weather outide my window is anything to go by, Mummya

AandRMum · 09/11/2010 14:12

Have just been procrastinating (need to call someone about a new assignment and feeling very nervous about it all) and ended up on an American babytalk website where the women were recording their symptoms on each day post ov. It was really interesting reading. I was feeling intensely tired yesterday but am only 5/6dpo so was wondering whether you can get symptoms that early. It would appear that it is very common to get early symptoms - not nec. reliable as I guess so many fertilised eggs don't find a comfy home and read as just a normal af - but in any case two symptoms which appeared to result in the most bfps were excessive tiredness (I am clinging tightly to that one and almost willing myself to feel tired today!) and abnormal amounts of post ov cm (the glass of grapefruit juice at lunch was just because I felt like drinking it - alright!). Sore/enlarged boobs unfortunately link to ov, pre-af and bfps so not particularly reliable unless noticeably different to other cycles. I think I might start a dpo tracker next month as I have only just really started to tune into my body (felt ov for first time ever this month!) and it gives you something to do during the 2ww other than go slowly insane. I may start a new thread on it, if anyone is interested ?! - it was amazing to see so many people's symptoms?!

AandRMum · 09/11/2010 14:19

Inbetweener were your last couple of cycles reasonably normal length or have you been having irregular cycles? A lady on the US website was saying that all three of her previous pregnancies had not shown up as BFPs until between 2 and 10 days post af due date. Am wearing nifty glitter enhanced suspenders today as we have started making Christmas decorations. I love this time of year ....

Ok stop procrastinating - must make a phonecall - arghhhh

inbetweener · 09/11/2010 14:52

AandRmum my cycles are pretty regular. Generally my cycles are bang on 28-29 days. I never go over Hmm.
Its all very weird.
If it hasnt arrived by tomorrow morning I will use another FR test ??

Just thought, I have been on a diet the last ten days or so ? I have only lost about 5lb though so hardly drastic lol.

Ladybee · 09/11/2010 14:54

Hey, just popping on after reading MummyAbroad's good news. Sounds like you've got the top man for the job too. I was curious where he was based and saw this article you've probably already seen it but thought it might be interesting and hopefully not too scary for the others.
Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly with the op and your recovery afterwards. How long will you be staying? And where will you be?

Just wanted to say mummya so glad you've got a diagnosis and treatment is just round the corner. Fingers crossed it'll all be over soon and your body will start behaving itself! sending you BIG hugs lady!

and inbetweener I got a BFN day AF was due with DS, tested 3-4 days later and it was positive...I read somewhere that boys sometimes show up positive later?

Got my suspenders on for so many of you at the moment (YRMOTB, PINK), i just keep checking back for some good news!!

MummyAbroad · 09/11/2010 15:01

x posts with you there Bee

thanks, I would also recommend watching this video for anyone who is interested

21stcenturymummy.com/2010/07/07/ashermans-syndrome-interview-with-specialist-mr-adrian-lower/

Dr Lower is my doctor Grin

and so as not to be too scared bear in mind, ERPC's are not the main cause of AS, but having an ERPC after delivering a full term baby often IS.

If you need to find a doctor, recommended specialists and their contact numbers are on www.ashermans.org

I will be staying with my mum just outside Kingston, Surrey. I'll be here until Dec 3rd all being well.

inbetweener · 09/11/2010 15:09

OOOh mummyabroad its blooming freeeezing here in Kingston right now lol Grin
small world !! If I see a woman rushing around Primark in springwear I shall wave madly !!

MummyAbroad · 09/11/2010 15:25

Grin Grin Grin Now I know why you like the inbetweeners as much as me Grin

Did you grow up around there?

youremindmeofthebabe · 09/11/2010 16:36

mummya's Ode to a roast

I love to eat roast dinners,
I find them oh-so great,
I'll tell you what's my favourite,
To have upon my plate.

A crunchy, fluffy Roastie
I love to eat the best,
second only by my love
Of meat, yorkies and the rest.

If I still lived in England,
iI'd eat them every day.
If only for that reason,
'tis as well I stay away.

MummyAbroad · 09/11/2010 16:53

Grin Fantastic!! Love it!!GrinGrinGrin

I think I will teach this one to DS!

Right, I will put my suspenders on for you YRMOTB and Pink too. I see that suspension is in order. Smile FX. xxxx

Ladybee · 09/11/2010 17:05

MummyA I've just bumped into someone else who had Asherman's. Look:

otchayaniye Tue 09-Nov-10 16:30:44
Hi there, thanks for your answers, and sorry I wasn't clear.

In about 2005/6 had a miscarriage and the D&C I had for it was too rough and left me with Ashermans (no periods, but ovulating and had pains)

It took 2 years of misdiagnosis and general effing about by which time I'd diagnosed myself

In 2007 I moved to Singapore and had an operation. After the coil came out I conceived the second month (hadn't got round to charting but tried those OPK sticks)

2008 daughter born, breastfed on demand which surpressed periods for 21 months.

When I eased back the demand feeding (feed only once in the early morning and not every day) period returned. Long and heavy.

I guess I am 'cured' of Ashermans, so this is more an issue of not knowing my cycle and also not having years to play with (at 39)

KnitterNotTwitter · 09/11/2010 18:10

Hey

Just thought I'd drop in and let y'all know that i am still here. I'm determinedly not testing until at least the weekend - AF is due ~16th...

MummyA really glad you've got your diagnosis and a plan...

PinkFondantFancy · 09/11/2010 18:42

mummya that is brilliant news! So glad you've managed to get an appt to be seen so soon as well! I hope you manage to fit in lots of lovely roast dinners while you're here. nix that is a fabulous song!!

Thanks apples, fingers crossed!

Kat I think the red light is basically comparing the relative darkness of the two lines. I've only been using mine a month but it seems to be similar to an opk stick so the top line seems to be a control line, then you'll start to see one appear at the bottom, this one was pale for about 12 days for me before suddenly going dark (when the monitor said peak) and then went paler again. Hope that helps! I think it was owl that told me that you can also just look at the sticks yourself and after a while you'll be able to interpret them.

lady well done on the zen! I found the temping thing a bit stressy at first as I can't help willing the temps to do what I want as well but when I am feeling zen I can approach it in a science experiment type way that you're just observing and you can't influence the outcome... Doesn't always stop the stressing though!

wombat your brekky sounds amazing!!!

babe everything crossed for you for tomorrow morning!! Charts are pretty cool, at least they have the consolation that if AF turns up at least you get another month of data (I am a geek, appreciate that more data might not do it for everyone....!!)

Good luck for you tomorrow inbetweener too! Btw which of the inbetweeners are you?? I think Neil's the best :)

aandr sounds cool, I'm in!!

Hey knitter good willpower on the pee sticks, I'm trying to resist their lure too!

Managed to break out of work early cos have acu tonight. Might see what she makes of my mental chart if she's still talking to me once I've told her I'm too scared to eat her herbs...

Velvetcu · 09/11/2010 18:58

MummyA great news and YRMOTB great ode!

AandR I was wondering how early is too early to symptom spot too but I have definate light brown pant snot that I am not imagining!

For those FF experienced people is the a certain day in your cycle when your temps start to go down again? And is it a slow decrease or do they just drop (kind of opposite to ov)? How do you post link to your graph too?

kat2504 · 09/11/2010 19:11

Thanks for the CBFM info. Good to know I will be able to make some sense of it myself in time but will be nice to have the monitor do the hard work and not have to be constantly comparing lines!

mummyA really pleased to hear about your op, glad you are able to have it soon!

I tried temping for a bit but was rubbish at it. Nevertheless, i think the temps go down properly a day or two before your period begins. Not sure about the speed but I think the progesterone level drops quite quickly so it would stand to reason that the temp would too.

MummyAbroad · 09/11/2010 19:13

Thanks LadyB! I "spoke" to otchayaniye on another thread but hadnt heard her story. I especially like the news that it took 2 years for diagnosis but she got cured with one op. I had been reading that the longer you have it the harder it is to cure (my will be 2.5 years) so that is very encouraging.Smile

Velvet my temps dropped gradually over a period of days - BUT because I didnt bleed I dont know how the temp drop matched with the start of the period, sorry! To post your chart go to SHARING on the left hand side, then HOMEPAGE SETUP then scroll down and chose a chart to publish (ADD CHART) then scroll back up and copy the URL which should look something like this:www.fertilityfriend.com/home/30b552

I just started charting again and FF moved my ovulation date - ha ha, I think I had better tell it what is going on.

hairytriangle · 09/11/2010 20:13

Hello everyone. I'm just hopping on to let you know the sad news that at a private scan today at 10.+2 we have been told there is no heartbeat :( :( :( our little one stopped growing at about 8 and a half weeks.

Feel very numb.
