The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Oooo, let's see how long we can stay there Miffles

And Brokeoven I'm sorry I have no advice, but I love that I've found someone else who says dagnamit Grin

brokeoven · 15/10/2010 12:39

But reading back my last post it sounds like i cant be asred doing any thing that may help, thats not true, its the invasive, messing with hormones and internal workings that i dont want to entertain.

Im not making much sense. Today i am Sad and feeling hopeless.

brokeoven · 15/10/2010 12:39

hehehe always makes me Smile without exception when i hear dagnamit Grin

Miffles · 15/10/2010 12:41

Sounds like you have been through the TTC mill a bit broke...feel free to hang out with us and our mad ways!! You have clearly had various tests and interventions and you and DH have decided on the best thing for you. It seems a shame your GP hasn't referred you to a specialist though, considering your history.

brokeoven · 15/10/2010 12:44

was referred to a gynacologist....who is not a specialist in fertility issues.

Had various appointments with him over the course of 18 months, never ever saw him, always his juniors, who were also trainees.

A very poor experience.

But i thought that was how it happened, had no idea that there were places like Liverpool and experts! (till it was too late.)

Miffles · 15/10/2010 12:47

dagnamit..don't understand?! Confused

Hedgeblunder · 15/10/2010 13:03

Morning all!!
Lol at gu ramekins- I've always use them as dp's ashtrays! Dammit!

I'm positive a couple of you lot are well an truly preg!

And I'm quite excited a few of us are on the same cd day-what are the chances that in 10 to 14 days time the thread goes miiiighty quiet in ten to fourteen days time???
Brassica- after my mc I only cried once for about an hour, but everyones different, I hope your doctors appointmen isn't too bad.

Dp's friend seems ok- he drew me an awesome picture (he's an animator) of me running away from a monster with a speach bubble saying 'you can't catch me auntie flo!'
oh dear!
Maybe I shouldn't flump about the house moaning that my womble hurts Blush

sorry I can't reply to all today - I'm on shitty iPhone so scrolling back is impossible!

takethatlady · 15/10/2010 13:05

That is terrible brokeoven. I've been totally shocked Shock at the terrible treatment people have received since I've been ttc and paying attention to these things.

I really hope that either a) it happens for you soon or b) you get referred to a proper fertility specialist! It might be easier to sort than you think, especially as you've had a baby before.

Angry for crap doctors.

X-post hedge but Grin and Hmm at 'womble' Grin

NervousNelly · 15/10/2010 13:27

Noooo TTL I didn?t crack, I was just practising remember Wink. So that doesn?t bode well, although it was evening I suppose . Hungry boobs though Shock. That?s hilarious!! Grin

Josie you don?t need slapped, as you are very close! Fingers crossed for escaping the fecker. I too will be ?POAS tomorrow-- awaiting your news.

KC sorry to hear that :(. Not long to your appointment now though, except I?m sure it feels like forever for you. And Angry to your brother and his impending fatherhood. I?ve read lots of similar stories to yours on here, I wonder how Darwin would explain this? Is WANTING to have a child, in evolutionary terms, a bad thing??? At the risk of sounding like Kevin the Teenager, it?s so unfair :(

Brokeoven welcome along. But you?ll be bloody lucky to find a cuppa here! This is the home of the alcholics Just Shaggers, remember? We mostly drink wine Grin. In a rule breaking suggestion, would temping be of any help in making sure you?re ovulating? Also (and I am in no way an expert so please feel free to ignore me) but could there be a problem with the thickness of your lining, if you?ve had a few MCs? I believe that there are drugs they can give you for that. But I?m only on about my 2nd month trying, so there will be rather more wise people than me to advise you!

Milano - really great news!! Fingers crossed for stickiness now, way hey! You have just reminded me though that the ramekin is still in the bathroom, but at least we also use one for the cat?s water bowl in there. So I can explain the presence of an extra ramekin easily enough; just not explain to my cats why their water tastes of wee Blush

miffles yes I saw Ugly Betty, was v funny :)

hedgeblunder Womble????? Me like!

Christ, just in the time I've been typing that I've fallen behind again....

JosieSmith1 · 15/10/2010 14:12

Hit me with a kipper somebody quick! I need something to pee on, anything remotely stick like!

No sign of ERTD yet, think I might be able to feel some slight cramps but not sure Confused

Wish it would either hurry up and arrive or 6pm would arrive and I will POAS tonight! I honestly thought I would be able to hold out until tomorrow! Should have known better

Miffles · 15/10/2010 14:13

JosieSmith1 · 15/10/2010 14:14

P.S. Miffles, dagnamit is a roundabout way of saying god damn it, I think anyway. No idea how it became dagnamit!

Miffles · 15/10/2010 14:21

Thanks Josie - makes a bit more sense now!

Not sure you actually qualify for the thread-kipper. You are what, 13PDO? You are allowed to POAS!! Although you would probably do better to wait til FMU tomorrow.

JosieSmith1 · 15/10/2010 14:24

I have no sticks, and can't get away from work so I'm going to have to just stick it out!!

Must keep busy this afternoon, must keep busy this afternoon, must keep busy this afternoon......................

Miffles · 15/10/2010 14:29

I have sticks...want one of mine? Wink

takethatlady · 15/10/2010 14:33

Stick it out Grin

Liking the pun...

JosieSmith1 · 15/10/2010 14:43

Ha ha TakeThat, I didn't even realise!

Yes Miffles I would love one of yours! Grin I may have to make do with a pen for now Blush Just joking Grin

Feck, pretty sure they're ERTD pains SadSadSadSad

Miffles · 15/10/2010 15:14

Bother if they are ERTD (I always those letters wrong...there was a study done called ETDRS and my fingers type that instead!)

How about I POAS for you? Save the pen! They're gathering dust in my cupboard. The only downside of this plan, is you WILL get a BFN. But it may help you hold off til tomorrow!! Grin

Miffles · 15/10/2010 15:18

What are people planning on doing at the weekend, btw?

My DH is playing rugby in the afternoon (away, so I don't have to go!) but not sure what I want to do without him...suggestions?

Watching a film tonight with my little sis and mum. Plan to tell my mum (only) that the consultant wants to do a few more tests and that we'll be deciding on clomid or IVF type things. I'm hoping she won't ask why, as DH doesn't want ppl to know about his sperm (or lack of it Hmm).

Has anyone told people they are TTC? Or is it completely hush hush? I tried that, but am rubbish at keeping secrets! I wear my heart on my sleeve at all times and cannot lie!!

JosieSmith1 · 15/10/2010 15:18

Miffles that sounds like a great game plan Grin go for it Grin

JosieSmith1 · 15/10/2010 15:21

It's hush hush for us except a few select people (i.e. my best mate). Definitely not telling the parents, too many questions when it doesn't happen straight away (ILs very family orientated people so will want to know what's holding us up, mine have no grandkids so desperate for some and not tactful shall we say!)

If I were you Miffles I'd have a long soak in the bath with a book, wine and choccies, then pamper yourself with body creams etc, then watch a film with duvet and hot choccy on settee

Miffles · 15/10/2010 15:29

ooo..that sounds v tempting. May do just that!

Where has everyone else gone? Are Josie and I the only ones skivving?

Hoping BB is ok...

SpareRoomSleeper · 15/10/2010 15:38

Wow, Ive missed loads. Got to run as loads of stuff to be getting on with, but HUGGGE congrats to milano...and gentle arm squeeze for takethat...... (Im praying for you..give us a BFFP sooon!)

brasicca....hope you are ok. Post and talk soon...

And as for me, still no JSing. Too annoyed at DH over something, not mentioning family cris, and we both fall into bed shattered at the end of the day.

JosieSmith1 · 15/10/2010 16:08

Sorry to hear that SpareRoom, hope you get things sorted (and get JSing) soon.

Miffles when this cycle's madness is over I will thank you profusely for keeping me sane company! The longest I have been on due day is up to about 6pm I think, but not toally sure, so getting close to the mark, and that day I had cramps all day, not much sign today, if any!

My heart is racing, it's ridiculous! God if only I had a stick I swear I would have peed on it about 3 hours ago!
