The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Sorry, I'm not really MIA, I'm lurking along, just frequently can't keep up with the speed of posts.

Vallinna so, so sorry about your DH auntie, what a shock for you all.

Caz sorry too about your news Sad

Not a lot of news here. I've had parents' evenings this week so am knackered and all talked out.
We're approaching the SWI window (well, no idea what cycle length is any more, but am on CD13 today, so surely it can't hurt Grin), but my parents are coming to stay for the weekend. We wouldn't normally even contemplate anything with them in the next room, but I'm reluctant to miss the window. Have been trying to use OPK's but am really rubbish at remembering to do them - all that about not going to the loo for 4 hours before hand, not using FMU, doing it at same time each day. It's all too much faff for my liking. I could probably cope with doing it first thing in the morning, but Oh No, that's not right either Confused why do I bother? Still, on the offchance I do get a +ve one this weekend we'll be doing it (quietly!) parents or no parents!

oh and Bear. Just to see if it works. Really don't get the MN obsession with Pombears!

Eskarina · 18/11/2010 22:53

Bear Bear Grin
It did work!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 19/11/2010 09:31

Cannot believe I've read all the wormy comments. Didn't bother with the blue waffle thingy as I actually want to eat today.

Esk how did you do the bear face?! Never had a pombear myself, but that bear is cute.

NervousNelly · 19/11/2010 09:45

WTF is Pombear??? Grin

TTL link to thread please!

Having a nice wee break, except for my car breaking down in the official back-arse-of-nowhere on way here :( Serves me right for trading in ancient old car for shiny expensive "reliable" one Hmm.

Loving the worm chat. You lot are hilarious Grin.

NervousNelly · 19/11/2010 09:49

Oh esk, refer to earlier thread. nomore got a BFP as a result of stealth shagging. Apparently the floor is the answer Grin.

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 19/11/2010 09:56

Morning all, am feeling like death after puking my guts up/having dodgy tummy last night :( Very much doubt it's pregnancy-related as now I just feel tired and with no appetite. Just hope I'm not getting another bloody infection - I've had enough of being ill.

Hope everyone else is feeling cheerier.

JosieSmith1 · 19/11/2010 10:13

How do you make those Eskarina!!!

JosieSmith1 · 19/11/2010 10:16

Aw DarkStar, hope you feel better soon ((hugs))

Eskarina good luck with the stealth shagging Grin

Boo at your car Nelly Angry, hope it gets fixed soon and isn't too expensive Shock

I am ready for another day's hard labour so probs won't be on a lot today so hi to everyone, hope you're all ok, coming up to JSing window so will hopefully be JSing aaaaalllll weekend Wink

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 19/11/2010 10:36

Arf Josie, make sure you get one in on the floor for good measure ]grin]

vallinnapod · 19/11/2010 10:59

TTL - I was so naive when DH told me to google blue waffle....he told me it was a fish and to click straight to images...bastard.

takethatlady · 19/11/2010 11:19

Grin vallinna

Here's the link to the pombear thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/1056940-to-think-this-couple-are-bonkers?reverse=1

It's a bit of a long read, but basically it revolves around a really weird dinner party - silver service for Heinz tomato soup and macaroni cheese, weird sex talk and a pinched arse - and the unexpected use of Pombears as revenge Grin

OP posts:
nickelpombear · 19/11/2010 11:49

eh? it's not on the list of smileys...
[pombear]

(see if it works...)

thatnks for your sense, Miffles - that's all i wanted! Grin

(although, i have convinced myself it's a hangover from last cycle - just because i had a period doesn't mean anything.)
it's more likely to do with the fat i've been eating recently.

it stills feels odd this morning, and I didn't eat any breakfast and had problems eating the lovely food at WI last night).

nickelpombear · 19/11/2010 11:50

nickelpombear · 19/11/2010 11:50

milanomum · 19/11/2010 12:24

I'm still heeeerrrrreeee! will be back in a bit to catch up and Bear

twowoulddo · 19/11/2010 13:54

Hi all,

I must read that thread when I get home! Am intrigued!

I'm not making a very good impression here but have been flying solo here this week while H away with work. My daughter teething the final molars so merry hell broke loose.

I'm into my ramekin peeing addiction phase and the red beast isn't even due until any time from Monday... I hate the me I morph into this time of the month. I'm so casual the rest of the time but get obsessed and HUGELY emotional in these final few days of each cycle.

I just want it so much is all.

Hope everyone else here copes better with the dreaded 2WW than I do! Am consoling myself with the fact that I have the CBFM up my sleeve for next month (oh dear!)

Miffles · 19/11/2010 14:28

Bear tee hee - so cute!

JosieSmith1 · 19/11/2010 14:47

DarkStar I might just do that, and seeing as it's the weekend I might stay up late tonight WinkWink

Bear just checking Grin

JosieSmith1 · 19/11/2010 14:52

Yippee BearBearBear

Well, seeing as the big boss woman isn't here and I worked my arse off yesterday, I am now skiving Grin

I am now googling blue waffles on my phone as, judging by the previous comments, it isn't something I want the IT dept to catch me looking at Shock

takethatlady · 19/11/2010 14:59

Grin josie good call. You do NOT want that on your history!

Hey milano, glad you're still here. Big smooch back :)

2wd the ramekin phase never ends for some of us. Did it again this morning just in case - mw came to fill in all the forms and I was envisaging her making me do a test only for her to say 'you're not pg and you never could have been. What are you playing at woman???!'

I don't think anyone copes on the 2ww. It's designed to make us go crazy Bear

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 19/11/2010 15:14

I definitely don't cope on 2ww, I go absolutely nuts and all you lovely ladies have to coax me back to normality Grin

TTL, good god. That is all Grin

JosieSmith1 · 19/11/2010 15:21

Dagnamit! DH just text saying he has a migraine and is going to bed when he gets in, and not in the dirty way Wink so that's JSing out of the window again. Might try and encourage him to sleep on the living room floor Wink

twowoulddo · 19/11/2010 16:16

Josie Get coaxing woman! Thanks for reassurance I'm not totally bonkers. Last night I wanted to cry myself to sleep which is insanity. had had a stressful day too so not entirely due to the ramekin urges!

TTL Bless you... entirely understandable. Hopefully you'll get out of the scary stage before you know it and be able to enjoy your pregnancy.

nickelpombear · 19/11/2010 17:02

Josie put a blindfold on him - that'll ease his migraine and it'll be a bit kinky too....

SleepyCaz · 19/11/2010 17:04

Hi Viroids!

I had the results of my HCG test this afternoon. It has doubled, but is still only 45. So they have confirmed a pregnancy BUT the level of HCG is still VERY low and may indicate that the preg could fail. However, the progesterone is still high which indicates a pregnancy 'going in the right direction' they said. Anyway, have more blood tests on Sunday to see if they have doubled again. If they have, they'll test me seven days after that.
So, I am kind of not getting too excited or getting my hopes up about being pregnant. They said that at around 4-5 pregnant, the levels are usually in the hundreds.....

So guess it's fingers crossed time.

Am going to catch up on the thread properly after tea, not ignoring anyone, I promise.
