Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you

Yep, should not complain about the June thread as I'm bloody happy to be on it. It's just that no-one wears capes, no-one gets virtually drunk, and no-one rubs anybody else's ovaries. Is it any wonder we end up gravitating over here instead?

I must admit, I did take a quick peek at the June thread, NMCB and TTL. Certainly chat a lot and filled them up quick, but lots of sympathy going round too. Stay with us crazy lot - it seems a shame to lose people viroids as soon as you get pg. Means it seems like we're always trying to escape! We're all friends now!!

Can I ask, how do you all know which DPO you are? Is everyone charting or is there a certain amount of guestimation going on? I only ask because I have no clue about when I ovulate, apart from the rough idea supplied by period maths and the Babycentre ov calc Have never had any mittelschmerz or anything like that, although I do experience heightened randiness.

My guilty pleasure is opks. We try to js every second day, but it's good to know when some extra is called for . Plus if I didn't check I wouldn't have known I ovulated a week later last month and it made my period late. I was still a loon, but I could have been a lot worse!

Ah...I was contemplating getting some opks but feared they would make me even more obsessive about ttc jsing

Darkstar I have bought a Digital OPK and a Basal Thermometer. The fact that both are still wrapped in cellophane probably explains why they aren't helping much .

I use period maths (actually an iphone app called Period Tracker) plus I do get Mittels hwizzel or whatever it's called. So I have a fair idea, but I was planning on temping just to confirm really. I'm a bit too lazy though, hence why I've not actually done it yet . And actually the OPK purchase was a mistake, I thought I'd bought a digital pregnancy test instead

I did a third cheapy test this morn and so far so good and clearer. Trying to save Digi test til fri as thats official due date... might give in by tomorrow morn tho as bought 2 ;)

DH says he is 60% excited and 40% scared which Im taking as a +ve (surely pretty normal for a bloke?!)

darkstar I used OPKs this month, though trying to figure out if line exactly matches did my head in... this is why i dont know if i ovd on CD 15 or CD 18 (tho now thinking earlier!). Do they do digi ones?

i need to go and hide DHs 'nut box' (he takes them to work) I rifled through trying to find brazils to make mini bean more sticky... but came across macadamias and pistachios... oops... put shells back in too lol

Apologies for the very moany self centred post i'm about to write.
I sort of bled again last night only about a week and a half 2 weeks after my period. It was more a dark icky discharge than a full bleed so i'm not sure what in the hell is going on with my body. there is still some discharge there when i wip this morning but as yhet no underwear transfer.
When we were trying for our last baby I ended up having periods every 2 weeks and even te docs didn't know if i was coming on going but they said that was down to me having a miscarriage a few months previous to it. But it seems as though it is going to happen again this time. I still remember how awful it was last time feeling horrid for over half of the month and never knowing if my body was even working properly. I really want another baby but this is making me question whether ornot i should give it up before i get in too deep and go through the same as i did last time :(

Oh 321sanitygone try not to worry about it (easier said than done, I know). Perhaps the doctor's will do more tests this time as it can't be put down to a miscarriage? I had the opposite problem - long cycles (7-9 weeks) - but it seems both of us been able to get pregnant even though we're at opposite ends of the scale. So there is hope :)

Re the ovulation question. I always know by the ov pains I get each month. The scarey thing is I had it on both sides this cycle and I normally only have it on one side! Trying not to think about the T word though.

I am really hoping all this thread fertility rubs off on me now, especially as I've just had it confirmed that my job is basically disappearing. This week I shall be mostly taking my mind off things by JSing
