The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Morning everyone

I need to moan I'm afraid! I just took on some more responsibility at work so our new senior admin could concentrate on the parts of the job she doesn't understand, it's hard work but not too bad (and distracts me from 2ww when applicable!)

Have just had supervision and my objectives from next year set, and because another member of staff is leaving, that leaves me, new senior and a part time admin who, after 2 years, still isn't totally clued up on the job. So my new objectives are basically to do everything. I have to take over the whole caseload of the girl who is leaving, which means I will be working for all 14 Probation Offiers, whilst running the reports team, which is a full time job in itself, and also writing a policy and procedures 'bible' on every single thing we do in this office! Whilst also answering the phones and reception because no-one else does it!

Argh! [tearing hair out emoicon]

takethatlady · 21/10/2010 09:50

OMG josie that sounds tough. What is your actual job? It sounds scarily grown-up and responsible. But I'm sure you can do it! They wouldn't trust you with it if you weren't really good, I'm sure. How long will it be before people can take some of the pressure off?

Hopefully you'll be off on maternity leave before long anyway [hwink]

Nervous someone mentioned the May 2011 'club' have two threads, one for talking and one for stats, so that must be the one you came across. I really want to suggest something like Fanjo-Furkled June 2011 for the next June 2011 thread, but don't think it'll go down to well.

Joise I assume that on top of all your new responsilities you aren't getting more money for the pleasure. I've come across several people in the last 6 months have this happen. It makes me so [hangry] (esp when it happened to my DH!).

JosieSmith1 · 21/10/2010 11:06

Ha ha TTL, if I said I was going on maternity leave they would kill me! I work for Northumbria Probation (sorry for the capitalisation, it's habit [hgrin]), just admin but it's hard work, they're trying to put as much responsibility on us as possible so the POs can concentrate on hitting their targets, which is fair enough, we're here to help, but expecting me to do all of that is ridiculous!

The office would literally fall apart without me, I'm not bragging but I'm the only experienced member of staff! There was supposed to be someone starting soon and overlapping with the girl who's leaving but now she's not coming at all and we have no idea when, or even if she'll be replaced!

takethatlady · 21/10/2010 11:16

josie try for a payrise. You never know!

nmcb I love it how you are using this thread to say all the things you wanted to say on the June thread but couldn't [hgrin]

I've just lied like a good'un to my mum. Told her I thought I was due on my period. Thinking of drawing pimples on my face for tomorrow's tree-swinging and vodka-swilling, or drinking lots of ground-up spinach in the hope it turns me green.

I think there should be a website for pregnancy lies. Not just for drinking but for all activities banned for pregnant woman. The blue cheese lie, the runny egg lie, the Go Ape lie, the abseiling lie, the why-I-just-puked lie, the why-my-boobs-have-gone-up-a-cup-size-in-a-week lie. People must tell these lies all the time but there are no resources for people with no imagination like me!

I'd type it on the JSers graduate thread, but then I'd just feel like I'm talking to myself.

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/10/2010 11:45

Hello shaggers :) Just outing myself as a fellow fornicator of fun. DH and I got married recently and it seems to have reinvigorated our sex life, so that's helping Grin

Already have one lovely DS of 2yo, and feel ready for more!

Will try and read whole thread later.

takethatlady · 21/10/2010 14:18

Hello darkstar, loving the name [hsmile]

Not much to report except left boob hurts a lot and right boob not at all.

Also I just cried at Neighbours. Not like a little sneaky tear, more like full-on wailing. Libby was sad 'cos her baby is growing up.

Supposed to be working but now I'm going to watch Home and Away and see if I can make it through unscathed [hgrin]

JosieSmith1 · 21/10/2010 14:39

Dagnamit, just wrote a big post then lost it!

TTL your hormones are so inconsiderate making your boobs ache unevenly and making you cry at Neighbours, hope Home and Away is more successful [hgrin]

My MNing time may be cut dramatically short when everything changes here. Off next week so won't be on much, but then it's colleague's last week so will be hectic, then she leaves and it's all systems go. I'll try and get on after work on my mobile but it doesn't always play ball so if I don't post, I'll still be lurking!

Hi DarkStar by the way, come join the madhouse fun [hgrin]. I got married in June and it's sparked our JSing too!

Miffles · 21/10/2010 14:46

Afternoon folks.

Drum roll........CD1. Yup. I so knew that all my spotting would come to nothing. And it did - well, nothing being a proper AF. Nevermind - I'd stocked up on pre-conception vitamins (his and hers!) and tampons, so gald I didn't waste the money! Also boxers (for him!) to cool those swimmers down. Getting set! Seeing the doc (typed cod - maybe I should call him cod, even if only to make me smile!) in a week and half and should get clomid. Think I'll order some pre-seed in preparation milano

Welcome to darkstar.

Stay with us NMCB - who says you should have to move? Esp if they're all boring farts. Boring smoring. We're WAY more fun!! [hgrin]

Was at work yesterday (the one that won't let me get on MN Angry) and then had a meeting til late, so couldn't post. Had been off poorly on Tue, thought I was doing better, but woke up this morning with no voice! Went into work for the morning and croaked at everyone...but my job involves lots of talking, so didn't really work. Cried off at lunch, bought myself a CD1 McDonalds (plus McFlurry) and am now back with you lot!

Josie - sounds like they're expecting the moon on a stick from you! You're only one person!! I agree about trying for a payrise. Also be realistic with them about what you can actually manage...better to warn them that it's all going to go tits up before it actually does. Then, when you can't cope and your snowed under, you can say "I told you so!"

vallinnapod · 21/10/2010 14:58

Hi darkstar

Just had a Shock moment the the DH on the phone. He went for his infectious diseases blood test today and had the gall to ring me to tell me how much it hurt and how much his arm continued to hurt Hmm

I took that moment to remind him I genuinely can't remember how many blood tests I have had, let alone dildocams. Then reminded him his sole duty going forward was to read por and jizz in a cup whist I had a needle stuck through the wall of my vagina and my eggs sucked out.

Men!

That said, please read this in context! I have only posted to amuse and to highlight we truy are the fairer sex! DH is the nicest, most supportive H I could hope for in our position (if not a little clueless at times!) Last night there were lots of cuddles and cuteness from him at my random exasperated crying at it all! (I feel I need to clarify this on MN.....!!)

vallinnapod · 21/10/2010 15:00

Clearly spelling is my kryptonite!

Miffles · 21/10/2010 15:11

Vallinna - laughting at your DH's reponse to jizzing in a cup and little blood tests!! He can't really argue when you pull out the big guns of "needle through wall of vagina"!! Your DH sounds like mine! He made the biggest fuss about everything, but recognises that we have to go through more and is very supportive.

My AF is still pretty poor - did use a tampon as at work, but not bothering now home..TMI? Don't care! But now I'm busy googling and implantation bleeds sound like what I was having the last few days with all the spotting. And some women continue with it. Yeish! Stooopid.

takethatlady · 21/10/2010 15:27

Ah you never have to explain that on here vallinna. Even the most perfect and gorgeous DH's (like mine) need a little moaning about now and again Smile

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 21/10/2010 15:38

Aw Miffles, sorry AF arrived but hope you get sorted with clomid. I have emailed all the POs at work to tell them that I'm taking on a lot more responsibility and to bear with me if I'm not as efficient as I usually am (if they read into that they'll realise I mean that I'm going to miss deadlines and forget things and be extremely stressed out!)

Vallinna how funny in an annoying way! DH complained when I insisted we go for STI checkups but after telling him that if I was going to get pg and push a large baby out of a small hole he could deal with a little test! I have to say you are being so so brave! I find smears deeply shameful and embarrassing never mind dildocams and needle through vagina wall [passing out emoticon]

vallinnapod · 21/10/2010 17:08

Josie - I have had brazillian waxes for about 3 years so the dildocams were nothing Wink

OK, DH has posted a pick of his blood test arm on Facebook - he looks like he was got by vampires! Seriously. His complaining was more than justified!! I guess the fertility clinic nurses do so many blood tests they are experts, his looked like a junior doc with a hangover and the DTs had taken blood!! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 21/10/2010 17:19

Ouch Vallinna! For both you and DH!

Sounds like you both need snuggles tonight (and wine, and mabe some choccy or ice cream) [hgrin]

Miffles · 21/10/2010 17:19
NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/10/2010 17:20

Oh Vann I nearly threw up just now reading needle through the .... It was on Josies post so I guess it's built, up but ergh! All men really are great big wussies, not matter how wonderful they are in every other way. It is a scientifically proven fact.

Sorry to here you joined next months mass 2WW hysteria. If you truely thought you've been having implantation bleeding you'd be POAS right now. . No? Nothing? Ah well will have to get my entertainment from somewhere else then.

Not sure how I'm going to cope rolling around on my pilates mat tonight, my nipples are on fire!!

PS I dropped a cake/pie bomb on the 'boring' June thread this afternoon. That lightened the mood a bit hehehehe.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/10/2010 17:29

Oh X posted Miffles. 2 nights ago I had a dream the Prof Brain Cox was trying to woo me (despite having seen me sh!t faced drunk and my being pg and married!) Very weird.

Miffles · 21/10/2010 17:56

eeww!! Prof Brian Cox!! Well, thats why it was a dream, I guess!

I don't really know why I've not POAS - think cos I think it's only valid with FMU (?) and never awake enough in the morning! Also whenever there's blood, I think - ok, don't bother. Then that's it for the day.

See you at pilates NMCB - I'lll know it's you cos you can't lie flat!!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/10/2010 18:05

Grin I'll be giggling like a looney too now.

vallinnapod · 21/10/2010 19:18

Miffles - that bastard Daniel Craig stood me up. Had to go with DH instead Wink

If we are talking about weird dreams....last Saturday I had a nightmare. I was car jacked and woke up genuinely scared so woke DH, who is really sympathetic...the perps of this crime??? Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan...I I woke up genuinely afraid... WTF?!

takethatlady · 21/10/2010 20:01

Grin vallinna. Classical actors jacking your car Grin

On the other hand, they're both very likely Bond villains. Perhaps that's where Daniel Craig was, sorting out your car for you ...

Good work on the June thread nomore, but no thread rocks like this one :)

Hello, sorry I disappeared for a while. Work has been far too busy, but I'm off on holiday for a couple weeks from tomorrow.

Will be back in time to join in on the 2ww madness. Hopefully some sun, sand, sangria and plenty of jsing will create a bfp this month!

I have been struggling to keep up with the thread. So will have a lot of reading to do when I return!

(hgrin)
