Just rushing off to my last meeting of a busy day but wanted to pop on to say a huuuuuge frolickers congratulations to HighHeels so excited for you!

Right girls, who's going to be next to join her? We are due a stampede of BFPs in the Three Follicles surely?

Oh and welcome Nic I'm not normally so brief but really do have to be somewhere.

Catch up soon with everyone Grin

highheelsandequations · 01/11/2010 17:52

Hi everyone, starting to sink in a little but still a bit too terrified to get excited!

raspberry to be perfectly honest, I don't think I had any symptoms before the BFP. Been feeling crampy on and off but think some of that this cycle was psychosomatic and with me just not having a clue where in my cycle I was. Was ravenous on Saturday and my boobs are starting to feel sore, but until today don't think they were as sore as usual PMT soreness Hmm Have had cramps like ERTD is about to start for the past couple of days (although seem to have subsided now, thank god as I was panicking) Also sat retching for 10 minutes after eating breakfast this morning then drove to work with a plastic bag on the passenger seat, DP very kindly found one without holes in it for me :) Sorry I can't fuel your mental symptom spotting or give you any tell tale signs! Will have to see if I can carry my course over but it's a friend running the class and she just set up this business in January so don't know if she can afford it. Also means that I'll be leaving the group of girls I've been learning with since the start, which is a little sad, worth it though! May just go and do spins for a bit but not sure if I dare, not doing any exercise at all until I've spoken to a medical professional [paranoid emoticon]

Florin glad you're feeling more positive :) positive thinking is definitely the way to go so sending happy vibes your way :o

MissFlick glad everything went to plan with the clomid and hope it goes well for you. I have good feelings that you'll be getting your BFP very soon. I had terrible headaches but no other major side effects. I do (sorry for TMI) think that it maybe dried up my EWCM a little as I didn't notice as much as usual when on the clomid. Have thought that if I were back on it I may consider using preseed or some such Blush

Bella hope you've enjoyed your duvet day!

Lanky you need to describe your foodie weekends in more detail so I can indulge in food fantasies :)

garden I am trying to start enjoying it! Hope you've had a good day.

Kaloki good to see you. I tried temping but found the cycle without clomid very difficult to interpret, maybe due to the PCOS. I stopped as my acupuncturist and DP reckoned I was just stressing myself out more. I would probably try it again though. What I would say though is keep checking for EWCM. That can also be misleading (I think I had it a few times this last cycle) but my dates would seem to tie in with my ovulating around one patch of it.

I wholeheartedly agree with florin and garden, this is the start of good things for the frolickers and there will be lots of BFPs joining me soon.

Well, survived the first day back at school, bit mental. Had dance club performing in assembly, a class to cover giving me a full 6 period day then a meeting after school. Have now come home and plonked myself on the couch and instructed DP he must look after me :o Phoned the GP to try and get an appointment to try and stop me panicking and worrying, couldn't get an appointment until next Friday! Phoned the FC to see whether they had advice for me, think it was too late so left a message and hoping someone phones me tomorrow to reassure me. Then phoned my acupuncturist to see if she could fit me in for an emergency appointment or at least give me some reassurance/advice, no answer so left another message! Have been walking round all day alternately grinning and then getting scared :)

highheelsandequations · 01/11/2010 18:08

PS: Thanks for the congrats Truff and waves at anyone I've missed :)

HRHCavey · 01/11/2010 18:30

HighHeels glad the good news is starting to sink in!

I'm not sure if they recommend acupuncture during the first trimester. When I had my reflexology appointment she asked me if I could be pregnant as they do not recommend reflexology in the first trimester.
It may not be the same for acupuncture, although my therapist said that reflexology can't cause a miscarriage it is just what the "guidelines" say should and should not happen.
As she put it "there is not a certain place on your foot that will cause a miscarriage if I press it".

Right, I must get off Mumsnet, I have another piece of coursework due in at the end of next week and it is only half done! The joys of writing a PowerPoint presentation on Ringworm (eww) and Splints in horses!

Toriajayne · 01/11/2010 21:26

Goldmaple No needles in reflexology, I don't do them either!

Nic/Roundtable Welcome to the madhouse, the girls here are lovely and everything I've had to rant about so far someone has been through, makes the whole process more bearable!

Garden Very impressed at the kitchen table action, can we start a special club? When we were in our first month and being very zealous about TTC we made interesting use of our breakfast bar...

Cavey Glad your numbers are increasing :)

Miss Fick Great news about your clomid, fingers crossed it does magic things for you :)

I'll be back properly tomorrow, but for now OH is sitting staring vacantly at a wall waiting for me to help him with the Christmas shopping so have to run!

roundtable · 01/11/2010 21:35

Christmas shopping?! Oh why am I never organised enough?

Hope everyone's well - hubbie is away and has been away for so long with work so nothing to report here! Another week and all systems go...

MissFlick · 02/11/2010 02:13

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for all of your good vibes and wishes for me and the Clomid. I took my first pill last night, a couple of hours before I went to bed ,and although it is probably too early to judge the impact of the side effects I feel amazing today! garden I had a divine sleep Grin I actually felt refreshed when I woke up today and that never happens!! I am also feeling very cheerful and positive so lets hope that this is the start of a beautiful relationship between me and Clomid.

garden yes, I am on 50mgs- The doctor was hopeful that it would work as I do ovulate albeit very late in to my cycles as my cycles have averaged out as seven weeks over this past year (I have had seven cycles in a year) I guess time will tell. What days did your doctor advise you to SWI on? I know mine kind of depends on the quality of Mr.F?s swimmers as every day is not recommended for poor swimmers. We should have the results either today or tomorrow and I?m feeling more nervous about them than any of my tests Confused Thanks so much in advance for all of the support you give me- you really are the fertility guru xx

raspberry hope nothing too horrid came up at work yesterday and that you are feeling lots better. Mr.F says the same about me being on MN. I am trying to only MN at work so he doesn?t seeGrin Thanks for the info about Eastenders. I wonder who it will be? Really sad for them to be doing another death after Billy?s.

florin glad you are feeling positive! Let?s make a pact to have the most positive months we?ve had and like you said it may be our lucky months :)

Hi lanky I feel ok about taking Clomid. I?m not sure it has really sunk in yet as it has all been such a whirlwind since I have been in HK. I know that I would not be taking it yet if I was in the UK so part of me feels like perhaps it is too soon but then part of me thinks that as I have been off my pill for a year now and still don?t have regular cycles then it is time to take action. I am trying not to dwell on it and am coming to terms with the fact that having a baby will not be as easy and as instant for me as I thought it would be. It has definitely been a big personal challenge for me as I have been really luck so far in my life and everything has always worked out as I have wanted. At the risk of sounding cheesy, of course I wish I had my baby already but I feel that this journey has taught me a lot about myself and has showed me how strong my relationship with Mr.F is so I hope one day when I have my baby I will look back on this time and feel like it was valuable and maybe be even a little bit glad that it didn?t happen instantly... maybe!!! That?s my story and I?m sticking to it anyway! Enough of my waffle though, HOW ARE YOU???!! Tell us all, work/house completion/have you made any holiday plans for when the job finishes?/any posh meals coming up?!

bella hope you had a lovely day of rest yesterday- treat yourself. You deserve it! Thanks so much for your thoughts and good feeling. Are you normally one who is good with your ?good feelings??! I really hope so. Good luck with your next scan my lovely xx

Hi truff hope you had a lovely weekend and that your Monday wasn?t too busy :)

HH glad you survived your day. How horrid that you are feeling sick already :( Hope all of the people that you left messages for get back to you today Grin Thank you for your Clomid advice. I have bought some pre seed in preparation so will definitely be using that to give things a helping hand and those swimmers a fighting chance. Keep everything crossed for me lovely as you are a clomid lucky charm :)

cave hope your work is going well and that everything has sorted it?s self out at work after your holiday :)

toria Jealous of your Christmas shopping. I love it but living here I have to order online and get sent to England or I have to bring it all in my suitcase when I come back and that is just not the same as going to do it at the shops!

Waves to roundtable Hope your hubbie gets back soon! What is he doing?

Hi flick good luck with the clomid. I know what you mean about coming to terms with it not happening completly naturally that's what hit me hardest. I realised I was never going to surprise dh with I'm pregnant in the same way as it is always going to be part of a longer very much planned process. So wish I could start on the clomid, I know if I told my parents they would be offering to pay for me to go privately however kind of want to try and get this sorted just dh and I-well I will at least see what doc says at my appointment on 12 November!
Glad that people are having fun trying swi in different parts of the house think you have to do anything to add variety when trying to get pregnant :) plus its one advantage of not having children yet!

MissFlick · 02/11/2010 07:21

Morning florin the 12th will be here before you know it :). It's good that you have the back up option of your parents if you do want to speed things up a little but keeping everything crossed that all of our positive thinking does the trick and that you don't have to worry about any of that xxx

HRHCavey · 02/11/2010 13:33

Hello all, just wanted to pop in and vent some frustration. I think the fates are conspiring against me! I've just wasted half my lunchbreak faffing about in Boots trying to buy some more Pregnacare vitamins. I walked into the shop only to find both of my work colleagues! Cue lots of sneaking around trying to avoid them spotting me with my vitamins in hand!

Honestly, the things we do!

slowshow · 02/11/2010 14:05

Hahaha HRH! I remember feeling really bashful when I went shopping for Pregnacare Conception a couple of months ago - no work colleagues around though, thankfully Grin I know I'll feel even more embarrassed if I had to buy a pregnancy test, never mind that I'm a married woman of 30...

Florin · 02/11/2010 14:17

hrh I always worry about being caught with them so always do a thorough check of the shop before going near the section and then get them to double bag them and then put them in the boot of my car with the screen thing pulled over! slow I go through the same procedure with pregnancy tests. Would be much easier to get them at weekends but then dh with me and he moans about the price and then knows how many I use so buy them at work with cash so I don't have to tell him! Yippee I got a bonus at work, suddenly got loads of boring things to pay for so can't spend it on anything exciting but it will make life a little easier for a while so pleased about that!

raspberrytipple · 02/11/2010 17:46

oh no, Im going to be post 666, I will double post just to be safe.

raspberrytipple · 02/11/2010 17:51

So, I know just how you feel florin and HRH, I always sneak about although for folic acid I bought a bumper three tubs as they were on offer in sainsbury's. I got my friend to buy my last batch of tests because she doesn't really care if anyone catches her but I still stood behind her looking really sheepish! Its soooo silly Blush

My ear infection is no better, still have a sore throat and am still on antibiotics. Quite glad there is little chance of a BFP this month as the doctor has now told me I need to be taking two paracetamol four times a day!!! That's loads! But apparently it is an anti inflammatory so will reduce the infection and swelling around my ear tubes and in my throat. I've also got to swill with salt water! Gross not happy with that one Sad

That said, if I do get a BFP at least I'm taking them in the very early days so it shouldn't harm the bean if there is one there should it?

roundtable · 02/11/2010 18:33

Hi flick he's abroad with work at the mo, it's been over a month now, getting rather old! Did get to visit him for a few days though so that was good.

The posts about the folic acid and pregnancy tests made me have a guilty giggle to myself, I do the same - furtively creeping around the shops, looking around me all the time. I'm surprised they don't think I'm some crazy shoplifter!

raspberry I heard that he/she doesn't take any nutrients from mum until about 6 weeks so don't you worry and hope you feel better soon.

Florin · 02/11/2010 20:32

roundtable a month is a long time you poor thing, where is he? Does he get home soon?
raspberry sorry about your ear infection I feel your pain I have had a few in my time and it is the worst pain ever.

HRHCavey · 02/11/2010 21:28

roundtable you have my sympathy when it comes to absent DH's.
Mine is in the RAF so lives away on base during the week, and obviously gets postings abroad every few years. The longest he has been away is 7 months in the Falklands a few years ago. He got to come home twice for a week at a time but believe me, it was not fun.

I'm glad to hear that everyone else does the covert shopping thing! I have an image in my head of us all sneaking around shops wearing fake moustaches to disguise ourselves Grin.

roundtable · 02/11/2010 21:47

Ahhh thanks ladies it's nice to have your sympathies. All I seem to get at the mo from a certain few is 'at least he has a job.' BTW their OH all have jobs barr one who is on and off and certainly get paid more better than DH but I always end up feeling bad for feeling bad he's away.

He's in Middle East at the mo and gets back on Sunday so very excited about the weekend!

HRH being in the arm forces doesn't compare to me, the worry you must feel must just be awful. 7 months, I just don't want to imagine.

On a lighter note - here's to all the girls creeping around their local pharmacy in their moustaches, fake wigs and glasses! Grin

Toriajayne · 02/11/2010 22:21

Sitting here having a giggle to myself about you all sneaking around buying vitamins and tests. I will admit to going out of my way to Semi Chem a few streets away rather than going to Superdrug two doors down from work as I know all the staff in there now!

gardenpixie · 02/11/2010 22:56

Hello everyone, sorry, very quick post from me ... will catch up properly tomorrow. Just wanted to say to flick that I was advised to SWI every day from CD9 to CD19 because DH's swimmers have poor morphology but he has a high overall count - so we can do it frequently to up the number of properly shaped ones without depleting the overall stock of SAS swimming dudes.

I think the advice is generally try for every other day from two to twelve days after your last clomid pill; unless there are any swimmer issues when you have to have to get jiggy a little more often. Thank the lord for sturdy kitchen tables Blush

Night night all and see you tomorrow xxx

womanlytales · 03/11/2010 07:38

Ladies, sorry for being missing for awhile I have been swamped at work. BIG HEARTY CONGRATS to Highheels - I feel so wonderfully happy for you BIG HUG :)
Flick - Welcome to the Clomid club - good that you're sleeping well. I received different advice on when to and when not to thanks to my consultant and my fertility clinic team (the scanners et al) Consultant said every day for three days before ovulation and the day after. Fertility clinic team said - every other day across the cycle - 8 - 20.
Garden Good luck on your scan for Thursday.
Will fill you guys on what's up with me when I log on next.
Wave to everybody else and here's to more bfps.

raspberrytipple · 03/11/2010 08:00

I just poas - god knows why, it was just in the draw looking at me when I woke up but only on cd26 so it was bfn. Stoopid..... Have a good day all
