Thank you so much HRH

I think he's happy! He's not very communicative (typical male) and did all the usual man things of "does the fact that it's a bit faint mean it's not sure", "how many weeks does that mean?", "should you do another one to check?". He is now making me pizza, although did ask if I wanted banana and pineapple on it! Still waiting for it to sink in and trying desperately not to worry. Also wondering how long I can wait before going to get a CB digital...

highheelsandequations · 30/10/2010 20:05

Thank you Raspberry, very hopeful this is the start of good things for the frolickers :)

nicwantsone · 30/10/2010 20:23

Hi, I'm really pleased for the ladies who have got their BNP's! Well done girls!
I'm new to this so I hope you guys don't mind me gatecrashing. Not a mum but I'm trying to be, it's been nearly a year and nothing. I love my husband so much and never thought about having children before him but now I feel like I'm failing him and myself. Have I jinxed myself? Never knew how much it could hurt to want a baby., I'm devastated every month.
I'm joining all of you to give me luck- here's hoping! x

raspberrytipple · 30/10/2010 20:29

Welcome nicwantsone, you are not gatecrashing!!! Nice to have you here. We are all tring for our first babieeees on here too. I'm sure your dh doesn't feel you are failing him and you shouldn't let yourself feel you are failing you either. Lots of people here have been trying quite a while so you are not alone and are in very good company.

Ohhhh highheels there goes your caterpillar pratice my darling!!!

nicwantsone · 30/10/2010 20:34

Thanks raspberytipple nice to talk to people about it. All of my friends and family are popping out babies left right and centre and are full of tales of how they were so suprised how it only took 2 months! So glad for them and yet so jealous but their babies are just gorgeous! Glad I can get baby cuddles somewhere.

raspberrytipple · 30/10/2010 20:40

Yeah I've noticed that since we've been ttc, people seem to be breeding like rabbits without even trying but it will be our day one day xx

nicwantsone · 30/10/2010 20:49

Fingers crossed! Am thinking of starting up taking my BMT. Has it worked for anyone? Not up for checking my cervix!

kurlyvoice · 30/10/2010 21:24

highheels, congratulations! [hgrin] Don't feel guilty about alcohol etc - there's not much that can get through in the early days. How far along do you think you are!?!

Everyone else, this is the cue for lots more BFPs, ok, just like the start of last month! You all deserve it so much...

Come and join us when you're ready over here. Smile

Florin · 30/10/2010 21:54

Oh my god high heels I am not even meant to be on here dh keeps gving me evils as I am at inlaws so so so pleased for you such amazing news so excited for you and gives me so much hope that it will happen. Lots and lots of love and hope it's a very sticky one.

HIGHHEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so thrilled for you my love!!!!!! This is most excellent news- I told you that it WOULD happen for you and now it has. You can stick two fingers up at your shoddy treatment from the clinic now as you don't even need them! YIPEEEEEEEEE xxxxxxxxxxxx

Welcome nicwantsone :) If you give us your stats we will add you to our list.

You're right raspberry One day it will be our day :) Positive attitudes all round!

Who started our last thread that was so lucky? Was it lanky? I think if it was you should start the next one. We have one more day of October to get another BFP, any takers?

AS for me, I have just got up and done my morning wee and TMI alert, when I wiped I had the tiniest amounts of brown blood. More TMI...so I had a little rummage and that revealed more brown blood. Now, don't get your hopes up that it is implantation bleeding- I have ERTDish cramps so it is probably just that starting, but the reason I report this news is that this is a very unusual start to my ERTD. Usually it starts with full flow and bright red blood over night so who knows what my body is playing at this month? If it is ERTD I am not too disappointed as it will show that the 22mm follicle that my doctor spotted on the scan two weeks ago did indeed pop out.

I'll pop back later xx

OP posts:
MissFlick · 31/10/2010 03:21

Only me again, just to let you know that ERTD has most definitely arrived.

I feel strangely calm and ok about it though.I think this is because Mr.F and I had a big chat yesterday and I decided that I have had enough of being consumed by TTC- I'm so tired of obsessing and said yesterday that I wish I could rewind and have a fresh start and not be obsessive (I am obsessive by nature!)

Mr.F said that we will never get this time of it being just us two back so we should enjoy being able to do what we want and spend our money on ourselves. He is totally right so I am going to try and live in the here and now and be grateful for what I have rather than wishing my life away. He also said that time is on our side- we are 27 and have been married for two years so I should be happy that I have found someone and am in a position where I am ready to have children when many people are not that lucky.

I sound like I am preaching now- Sorry Grin I just wanted to share in case it might help any of you feel a bit better about this horrid TTC conveyor belt (thanks slow!) that we are on.

Enough of bout me- this is Highheels' day!!! Grin Grin Grin GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Huge congrats highheels!!!!
I'm sure it's the first of many bfp's on this thread. Xxxxx

HRHCavey · 31/10/2010 08:08

Morning ladies!

Highheels has it sunk in yet? I'd be racing off to buy a Digital test asap so that you can have an idea if how far long you are. As MissFlick says, you can blow a big raspberry in the direction of the clinic now!

MissFlick sorry ERTD got you, though it sounds as if you have got a great attitude about it. The cliche of "it will happen when it happens" is so bluddy annoying, but probably true.

Welcome to nicwantsone. it's a bit of a mad house around here, but we're all completely lovely! Hope the lucky baby dust that is hanging around does the job for you!

Bellaby · 31/10/2010 08:42

Morning All

Just popping in say congrats to Highheels - wonderful news. I definitely second doing digi test asap. Grin

Big Wave to everyone else. Have been lurking here but not writing. Sorry to hear so many of you have been feeling down.

Flick your DH always says the loveliest (and very true) things. Just get out there and enjoy a few Pornstars - I miss drinking more than anything.

Lanky I always thought I would be 30 too but now think that 31 is a great age Grin. Sorry to hear you are still finding work tough. I'm sure you will get your gap year before you know it [hwink]

Happy Halloween [hgrin]

Xxx

gardenpixie · 31/10/2010 08:57

Oooooooooooh I can't stay long as have FIL here so have to go and entertain / make breakfast but just wanted to send the biggest congratulations to Highheels Grin such good news! I am really thrilled for you and I hope you and DH are over the moon!

Nicwantsone welcome! Lovely to meet you xxx

Flick I am sorry ERTD got you but you are right that it is good news that you ov'd. So does that mean you'll be starting clomid soon?

Right, I really must dash before DH burns the bacon,

xxx to everyone and an extra Grin and xxx for the lovely HH

MissFlick · 31/10/2010 09:17

Yay- you're all waking up! Where is the lady of the moment?!

Thanks cavey How did the Salsa class go this week? Did you have more people? xx

Thanks bella I have a friend and her lovely DH coming to visit as part of their honeymoon on Wednesday so we are taking them out to my favorite cocktail bar and restaurant(Aqua garden!) on Friday so will definitely enjoy letting my hair down with a few porn stars!

Morning garden :) I have to phone my gynae tomorrow and get an appointment. She said to phone on CD1 to get an appointment for CD2 but annoyingly my CD1 is a Sunday so am hoping that when I call in the morning they will fit me in at some point tomorrow. She said she wanted to do a rescan to check that the follicle she spotted last time had definitely gone and then she would give me the clomid to take. I hope she does give it to me though as she wanted to have the results of Mr. F's SA as obviously there is no point having the Clomid if there are swimmer problems. We only took the sample in yesterday and they said the results would be three working days which is Thursday... do you reckon she will give it to me even though the results aren't back? We have had the test done after all.... Hmm

OP posts:
HRHCavey · 31/10/2010 09:48

Salsa class was not much better I'm afraid, just 6 people! But it was an improvement on the 4 from last week. It's just going to take time for word to spread I guess. I'm starting to make my money back though, which is the main thing.

Fingers crossed you can get a quick appt MissFlick

gardenpixie · 31/10/2010 09:53

Hi MissFlick Oh I do hope they can sort that for you; I think different Drs recommend different days to start clomid anyway - Womanly starts on CD2, I start on CD3 and I think you can also start on CD5 ... which would take you up to Thursday anyway. I reckon it's worth pushing for it as, even if Mr Flick's swimmers need some work, you will only have taken one cycle of it and as long as some of his swimmers are the right size, shape and go in the right direction then you don't have anything to lose.

HH am I right in thinking you were on your break from clomid when you fell pg?

Can HH now stand for hurrayhurray ?

LankyLegs · 31/10/2010 10:03

Morning gals!!

HH Bloidy great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AM SOOOO pleased for you hun. So brilliant we have another frolicker with a BFP!

Flick hun - sorry about ERTD but I am LOVING your attitude and MrFlick's of course - he is right - we do sometimes forget all the fab things we have going for us. Yes I did start the last fred - and it was very lucky! Not sure I will do the next one though - will leave that up to someone else! How did the SA go btw?! Hope you managed to find some humour in the whole process (it is quite funny - we found anyway with MrLanky's!). Hope you get your appt sorted as well chica xxx

Bella lovely to hear from you. How is the pregnancy going? How many weeks are you now? Hope you are not feeling too sick. And yes - am hoping 31 is a lucky year for me too!

Cavey like you said - improvement on your last class - are you enjoying at least? That is the important thing.

Rasberry keeping fingers crossed for you hun- you never know - he might have super spunk! You have done the right thing having a night planned out - geniuos idea I say.

Welcome to the madhouse Nicwantsone - The most loveliest ladies here full of expert advice! Lets hope you are not here for long if you know what I mean!

Garden snap - am keeping an eye (and nose) on the bacon while DH is in the kitchen. Hope you are having a nice weekend and lots of SWI-ing action in prep for the big OV! Although if you have FIL around maybe not... Hmm clomid going ok this time round too? xx

Waves to everyone else - just off out to the out-laws for lunch and LOVING this extra hour in bed today.

highheelsandequations · 31/10/2010 10:04

Morning girls, thanks so much for all your kind messages. I don't think I could have got to this point without you lot, now I just need another few BFPs to keep me company! :) :) :)

It hasn't yet sunk in and I am completely paranoid. Am going to go buy a digi test later today but so worried about doing it and getting a 'not pregnant'. Fertility friend reckons I'm 3+6 (which ties in with the EWCM I had) which is still very very early. Did do an internet cheapy this morning, got a very very very faint line so trying not to panic. It still seems like a miracle, a few weeks ago I was trying to work out if we could afford IVF privately and now fingers crossed there's no need.

MissFlick so sorry about ERTD arrival but you're sounding very positive. Not sure what to recommend re the clomid, if I were you I'd probably try my best to get it started, it may take a couple of cycles to get your dose correct or for your body to adjust.

Raspberry that'll be the 80 quid I just paid for the next pole course down the drain!

Nicwantsone welcome, you've chosen the best thread to join :)

garden hope you had a good breakfast :)

Florin, cookie and kurly thanks for your message, and thanks for the invite kurly, will get up the confidence to come over at some point.

In the mean time, can I stay here for a little while longer? Too paranoid to leave just yet... Thanks again for all your support and help over the past months.

Going to try and be happy and celebrate now :) :) :o :o :) :) DP has been telling me to stop stressing as he doesn't want a stressed out baby who spends all its time googling things!

highheelsandequations · 31/10/2010 10:08

PS: HRH hope the numbers keep improving for your salsa, and lanky thanks for the message and hope you enjoy lunch.

cherrycobbler · 31/10/2010 10:20

highheels just popping in to say huge congrats!!! Very much hope it's a sticky one and you have happy and uneventful nine months :) I also found out v early and was v v terrified of something going wrong so understand your nerves :)
flick so sorry about ERTD but your attitude us just amazing. MrFlick always seems to say the wisest things.
Hello to everyone else esp lanky cavey florin garden and zips and kkas if you're lurking xxx

gardenpixie · 31/10/2010 10:32

Hi Lanky thanks for asking; yes the clomid is going fine this month. Big long sleeps as before and am feeling great on it. I have a scan booked on Thurs to see what my ovaries are up to and the shaggathon has commenced to make sure we have everything in place if there is any ov action going on!

Slightly hard with the FIL around but we are being resourceful. Think we worried the pets last night though as they'd not really seen the kitchen put to that particular use before Blush but, as Mr G said, the alternative was the garden shed! Blush Blush

Hope you have a lovely lunch xxx

gardenpixie · 31/10/2010 10:33

And hello cherry lovely to see you! Hope everything is going well with you and your cherry pip Grin xxx
