Karstan · 22/10/2010 19:42

Ariesgirl does taking a break mean not trying or taking precautions? Sorry if that's too nosey.

I know its ludicrous realise it's a little strange, but I really don't want a Christmas baby so thinking about taking a break round December time. But then I think it's mad and beggars can't be choosers and I should take every chance I can.

Speaking of Christmas I've made myself sad reading the Christmas tradition thread and thinking about how nice it would be to have kids to share Christmas with. Silly really, because there were never going to be any babies in time for Christmas, nevermind children old enough to appreciate it, i only started ttc-ing in June!

I have an appointment just before Christmas with the consultant who did my hysteroscopy so it'll be interesting to see if he has any suggestions, although I think it will just be keep trying, if it happens it happens. I'm not sure what else they can do other than wait. My cycles are regular as clockwork, I'm 99% sure I'm ovulating, but the problem is likely to be even if fertilisation occurs fibroids mean it might not find a home.

Truffkin · 22/10/2010 20:04

Hi Frolickers and seriously TFIF again, I neeeed the weekend [hgrin] Am planning to do as little as possible outside of eating, drinking, snuggling and watching crap TV. Am tres excited after a hectic time last weekend. I may also be testing on Monday if no FERTD by then.

Aries bastard RTD, have a G&T for sorrow drowning. How are you feeling about taking a break? If you indulge in lots of festive partying, you are bound to discover the fabled ability to 'just relax' and enjoy insta-preg when you get back on the horse. (not literally, that would be hideous. and painful)

HighHeels I'm massively impressed with the butterfly. That must take some doing!

Truffkin · 22/10/2010 20:07

Forgot to say how amused I was at the list kerfuffle, simple things!

Oh and Karstan hopefully just as the festive excitement dies down and the January blues kick in you will have a lovely announcement to make.

I have also allowed myself the odd 'Christmas announcement' fantasy although now my SIL is pg with their third it wouldn't have quite the same impact!

TomboyWife · 22/10/2010 22:22

Evening ladies!

Just a quick post to say I haven't re-tested yet. Still working up the nerve as I really don't want to see yet another BFN. Sometime this weekend...

MissFlick · 23/10/2010 06:29

Morning All,

garden what?s the latest?! This is a very exciting development, I really hope that FERTD is still away this morning.

lanky am trying to take your advice and not think about ttc this weekend :) Hop eyou are having a lovely restful weekend.

slow hope you found yourself some cocktails last night. My life is not usually so fabulous- the life of a teacher is very un-glam! I am spending today and this evening ploughing through a pile of marking and entering data into my reports whilst catching up on iplayer Hope that makes you feel better! I think that a baby purchase is totally fine and in fact I actually bought two maternity dresses in the sale from ASOS the other day- they were 9 quid each so I couldn?t not really buy them! Although have not taken them out of the packets and have hidden them so there is no chance of Mr.F ever finding them- we would think I have finally lost it!

highheels am totally jealous that you have two weeks off! It?s back to work for me on Monday- boo although am starting a mega diet on Monday and it is always easier when you?re at work isn?t it? Pleased that your skin is clearing up- mine is really going from bad to worse :( Nightmare. Bloody impressed with the butterfly! Well done you!

Talking of pole dancing, where is our raspberry?! and florin has not been around for a couple of days either- hope you?re ok girls xx

josie Hope you have bought that Wonder Woman outfit ready for your new duties and that you?re enjoy your time off. Jealous you have found your cervix- I must try harder!

Thanks for the pep talk cave that?s just what I needed to hear and you are so right about turning it into a competition. It?s so annoying as I am the least competitive person ever but when it comes to TTC it has turned me a little bit mental!

Sorry about your FERTD aries. Please pop in from time to time and say hi even though you are taking a TTC break. We?ll miss you.

karstan hopefully you will pregnant before you have to even worry about taking a break :) It will be interesting to hear what your consultant has to say.

Fingers crossed truff- do you think you can hold out until Monday...?

and everything still crossed for you tomboy, I totally know how you feel.

No news from me as per usual- spots EVEN worse and I am dreading going back to work on Monday or even leaving the house as I feel so ugly and bleughhh. Have been having a few cramps today but trying to ignore them and not read into anything. I am indulging myself by slobbing around in my pj?s and eating lots before I start my diet again on Monday. Must crack on with my tv viewing work so I can pop back later whilst Mr.F is out playing Rugby.

Hello everyone

FCBERTD did come back properly this morning - cramps and all! So VERY [hsad] and [hangry] but also feeling much more myself as my hormones are obviously sorting themselves out. So I have today and tomorrow to enjoy that before I start screwing them up again with clomid! Seriously though, I am SO lucky that I've not had any bad side effects with clomid and it actually makes my skin look brilliant and I sleep sooooo well on it - so I can't complain although I will of course

ERTD arriving also means I can go for a lovely long run this morning and get hammered with my friend tonight rather than having to watch what I drink! Silver linings and all that...

Sorry for the enormous mememememememe post - I have to go and sort all the housework out before my friend comes round so best dash but I'll be back later if I get it all done quickly!

Good luck Tomboy with POASing whenever you choose to do it - we are due some good news so am keeping my fingers crossed!

Lots of love and big waves to everyone xxxxx

MissFlick · 23/10/2010 10:44

Sorry to hear that garden but you are sounding very positive :) Great skin and sleeping are not to be knocked! Mmmmmm Sleep. Hope you enjoy your run and your evening with your friend. Perhaps we'll be Clomid buddies for this cyclexxxx

On a more positive note I have had my appointment for gynae clinic next month so hopefully things will start moving for us.
It's my birthday today so I have brought a very large and gooey chocolate cake for everyone to enjoy! Xx
I'll try and be better at keeping up with posts bur you all know how vad I am at this!!!
OoPs nearly forgot, fbertd arrived so could someone update me on list to CD3?
Lots of hugs!! Xxx

Happy birthday cookie and thanks for the cake Wink Good news about your appt - I am sure they will get things sorted for you. But how stressful that SIL and Sis both announced they are pg. I think you should go easy on yourself for feeling [hangry] - totally understandable and very frustrating for you.

Hi Flick yes I am surprisingly excited about having five days of radiant skin and deep sleep! Hopefully this will be your month so you won't need clomid, but if not, it would be lovely to have you as a clomid buddy and hopefully womanly will be back on it soon too so we can keep each other chirpy (waves at womanly)

Right, TV watching housework completed so am off for a big run with the dog

xxxxx

raspberrytipple · 23/10/2010 12:29

Hello fello frolickers, sorry I haven't been around much this week but I have been lurking. I've now completed probably the most manic week of work I've ever known and am absolutely knackered. DP and I went to meet a friend for a few quiet drinks last night and ended up out until 1.30 a.m.! I am seriously way to old for all that stuff. Not much has been going on on the BDing front, I've had my most fertile week this week but not done any SWI because Ive been so tired and not really worried about it but I checked on a couple of ovulation calculators and it reckons I will ov sometime between now and Monday so we got a quick 2 sessions in this morning. I am very impressed with DP as he has a stinking hangover but is also now making me a full english bless him.

highheels I am extremely impressed by you getting the butterfly, that is an awesome move, one of the prettiest. Also, if you swing your extended leg around back on to the pole you can make a very pretty flat line Gemini which is what I was learning last Sunday buy OMG is it ever a little bit painful!! I also tried an Aisha (not sure if that's the spelling) but only had the strength in my arms to hold myself up but I have no balance so someone had to spot me so my bum didn't fall away from the pole. Was quite funny really.

cookie I can understand you feeling cross, I have friends who have terminated their pregnancies and I understand the reasons why but I wish people wouldn't be so damn careless. Its really not that hard to avoid getting pregnant if you want to and it also makes me Angry

Sorry to hear ERTD got you Garden but drink like you've never drunk before tonight!!!!

missflick I am all well thank you, just didn't seem to get the time to write anything so just lurked for a few days. Hope your spots clear up soon. We must love being women really, completely dominated and controlled by crappy hormones that want to make us feel rubbish all the time Sad

Josie I too am in love with my GHDs, I dont use them loads but my hair goes lovely when I do use them. congratulations on finding your cervix. I had a feel of mine once or twice when considering whether to work out when I was fertile by where it was but then decided I was a bit freaked out by poking it so stopped!

Hello to everyone else and I know im crap only responding to a few but there is so much to catch up on I shall just start anew here so will be good from now on!!! Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

luckyseven · 23/10/2010 12:37

Karstan i just popped in to catch up with you all and just thought i should say that dh and i had a big disagreement about a Christmas baby, I wanted to take a break for a month partly to avoid a Christmas baby and i was getting a bit too obsessed. Anyway he convinced me to keep trying and turns out it was the lucky month and our baby is due the week before Christmas and am so glad he changed my mind. I know everyone's circumstances are different. The period for conceiving a Christmas baby is the end of March, i ovd on March 25th and got my bfp on 8th April if this helps in any way.

Looking forward to seeing some new faces on teh other side soon!

Karstan · 23/10/2010 13:19

I was thinking of a 4+ month break and starting the break at Christmas has other advantages. I have some time off then as well so can drink plenty of mulled wine properly chill Wink

MissFlick · 23/10/2010 13:33

I have finished all of my marking and done my reports so I am feeling pretty pleased with myself and am rewarding myself with some sofa time!

Happy Birthday cookie!! I can totally understand how you feel about getting that news :( Hope the time speeds by until your appointment at the clinic next month.

Glad you're back raspberry Hope the hangover is not too bad and that you enjoy your brekkie! MMMMM.

Enjoy your run garden I am lying here eating a Wispa [hblush] so bad of me.

karstan I'm sure if you had a 4+ month break you'd get pregnant in that time- isn't that always the way?!

Hi lucky thanks for popping! It's only two months to go for you- exciting! I love your boys name and in fact I think I'd try and persuade Mr.F to go for it if we ever had a baby boy.

OP posts:
highheelsandequations · 23/10/2010 17:31

About to go and have a nice relaxing bath then get ready to go for a tasty dinner but just popped on to say hi to everyone [hsmile]

Thanks for all the butterfly compliments, have to admit to being very impressed with myself on that one [hgrin]

Thanks as well for the pep talk HRH, sounds like very good advice. Did not touch the thermometer this morning, now just need to find a way to switch my stresses off.

Happy birthday cookie, have some yummy cake and cocktails!

Waves to everyone else, good to see you back raspberry.

Thinking about my next weeks holiday plans and trying to decide whether I should still try and eat all the stuff recommended in the baby making bible or whether to try and have a week off completely and eat anything I want and try to forget everything... Also have just read that pilates is not great when ttc as it can make the abdominal area too hard so wondering whether to have a month or two off and just go to yoga classes for a while, but then will I be wasting my gym membership? But is the gym membership that important? I'm not doing very well at this not thinking and stressing am I?!? Hmm although I've not been on fertility friend for more than 24 hours, which surely deserves a pat on the back!

highheelsandequations · 23/10/2010 17:32

PS: Glad you've finished all your marking Flick and hope you enjoy your sofa time!

TomboyWife · 23/10/2010 18:53

Evening ladies, and happy birthday cookie!

garden sorry about ERTD returning. Sad Rather cruel of it to tease you by going away.

Well, I've just tested again. BFN again. Needless to say there's still no ERTD and I'm now an unprecedented 13 days late. WTF is going on?? Confused

womanlytales · 23/10/2010 23:23

Garden - sorry about ertd. I think your attitude is brilliant. Feel gutted myself but u're right.. you are ovulating, and you're ready for the next round of clomid and its gd effects. All the very best this cycle. Totally hear u on the long runs, I haven't been doing them for long but think am addicted.
I hope to join u my dear clomid buddy real soon pending ertd.. feel its going be here anytime soon. Feel crampy this evening. Once ertd is here, will go for that scan and then hopefully they will give me clomid this cycle.

MissFlick · 24/10/2010 02:22

Morning frolickers,

Just quickly popping in to ask tomboy if it's possible that you might have ovulated later on this cycle meaning that is is still too early for BFP to appear? I can't remember how many days late mrsw was before she got her BFP? Still keeping everything crossed for you.

womanly If you are sure that you won't be pregnant this month then I hope that your ERTD arrives soon so that you can get cracking with the scan and next cycle of clomid- until then I will keep hoping that you have a sneaky bean hiding in there :)

Hope you all have relaxing sunday's planned- I'll be back later to check in.

Xxx

OP posts:
womanlytales · 24/10/2010 08:32

Thank u Flick. Have started spotting and I am still in a looney sense hoping...lol ertd is perhaps just a few hours away ... though I have postponed my morning run to the evening ....and I have no idea if I ovulated at all, this cycle has been as bizarre as the others... here's to another month.
Tomboy, fingers crossed for u... I remember reading mrswajs "will I ever get pregnant" frustration and two or so days later she got her first bfp. Sending u lots of baby dust.

gardenpixie · 24/10/2010 08:46

Morning all,

Just a quick one from me this morning as am hungover as a badger have to make Mr G some breakfast

Thanks for all your support re bastard ERTD. I took it as an opportunity to guzzle plenty of wine last night - it was great fun and cheered me up enormously.

I also have an enormous run planned today with a friend and then tomorrow I start clomid again ... it's so funny how the first half of the cycle seems to go really fast, it's the cursed 2ww that drags along like a sloth

Tomboy I'm with Miss Flick, if it's unusual for you to be this late, you might have ov'd late and maybe had a late implantation so the hormones aren't quite ready to show up yet? Everything crossed for you!

Womanly I hope you are pg and therefore not going to get sprung by ERTD; but if it does arrive then I know that will be a relief for you too. Will you have another CD2 scan?

Raspberry lovely to see you! Sorry about work manicness. Sounds like you are SWI'ing at just the right time though - good effort all round!

MissFlick well done on finishing your marking - chocolate and sofa action sound very well deserved!

Big Sunday waves to everyone else ... I'm off in search of neurofen Blush

About to head out for a walk around the botanic gardens, it's a beautiful, freezing cold, sunny wintery day out there :) but will probably nip back into the pub later for a catch up. Garden I am similarly suffering, hoping the fresh air will fix me but in the meantime can I share your nurofen?
