LadyGG!! Hello!!! How did I miss your ealier post? I think I was too busy drooling over virtual paté HmmGrin How are you? Glad to hear you've got a positive OPK. My SWI during the WTF cycle didn't get me anywhere but hey ho, another month 'n' all that. Let's hope this bus is luckier and sticker for us both than the April bus was xxx

Evening all! Only one more day until the WEEKEND! God I can't wait!

Thanks for the yummy camembert Kat.

LadyGoneGaga · 07/10/2010 18:52

I'm ok thanks Wombat. Still good days and bad as you will know. SIL announced she is pg yesterday - due a month after I was due - happy for her, sad for me. Went to a acupuncturist the other day to get a bit of extra support - she's a fertility expert and was really good just to get a lot of this stuff off my chest. How are you gettiing on? Sorry the first cycle didn't work but at least your cycle seems to have normalised pretty quickly.

Defo hoping for a stickier bus for both of us this time round!

Thanks for the welcome, Kat. I'm not a big pate fan but I'll take your camebert and wash it down with this bottle of red wine, thanks.

Brasso4 · 07/10/2010 19:52

Just realised that I haven't brought a picnic for the bus. Anyone fancy some homemade mince pies?! (Yes I know it is early but I loooove mince pies!) Drink of choice - chilled lager (so uncouth).

MrsP81 · 07/10/2010 22:04

Hello all. Please can I join this bus? I've bought some red wine and chocolate. :)

I've decided I must try and chill out a bit more this cycle. Ha! Like thats going to happen.

hey ladies

Welcome all the lovely new people and Yo! to all the lovely old people - if that doesn't sound too weird.

Just back home from an amazing night out - had dinner cooked for me by 'new dad' Dhruv, 'Food writer' Alex and 'Children's Doctor' Tim. Delicious :)

The SWI seemed to go well so we're now on the 2WW.... Felt pg this morning but in reality that's probably just trapped wind :)

Good luck all...

Luce2006 · 08/10/2010 07:49

What a good way to get up.... I'm spottig SadI expect AF to turn up full swing but he end of the day Angry Yesterday I REALLY felt pg but it seems that it didn't last...Oh well I can stay on this bus and hope for a JUly baby then....
soooooooo,I'm taking some nice little tarts filled with caramelized onions and goats cheese and vodka, limes, sugar and passion fruits!

LadyGoneGaga · 08/10/2010 08:27

Fingers cross AF doesn't turn up in full swing for you, Luce. I spotted day before my BFP. The tarts sound nice though!

Luce2006 · 08/10/2010 08:45

LadyGoneGaga it would be nice but I'm not at all hopefull...
I'm off to play Euromillions soon after I've dropped DS to school, me and other 4 friends ( one of whome has been trying for a second for the past 2 years and we've spent all yesterday afternoon comforting each other and scoffing on homemade apple tart Grin )have founded a syndicate! ok we're not getting pg but mayeb we'll be winners tonight GrinLOL

GetDownYouWillFall · 08/10/2010 11:08

Hello ladies, can I join too? Smile

Trying for a summer baby, so I can buck the family trend for December birthdays Hmm

TTC#2 cycle 1 UCL between 27 and 45 days Shock (I know!) current cycle day 18, still waiting for ov Sad - I think.

Chart is all over the place because of stupid insomnia Angry Anyone else have their chart wrecked on the crucial day(s) because they can't sleep?

Tried an OPK for the first time yesterday but was negative. Don't know whether to keep going with them as they are so expensive and with such a variable cycle who knows when I'll get that little Smile face!!

LadyGoneGaga · 08/10/2010 11:15

Getdowm I have a variable cycle too so abandoned the outrageously expensive ClearBlue after getting through whole packet with no sign of a smiley! Got these instead.

£10 for 40. They work just as well and much, much cheaper so I feel happy testing twice a day in case I miss the surge. Using in conjunction with charting, chcecking mucus and cervix (plus the secks of course) covers all possible bases I reckon. Obsessed, moi Grin

GetDownYouWillFall · 08/10/2010 12:15

thanks LadyGoneGaga that's really useful, I will order some of those. ClearBlue were going to make us bankrupt!

How variable is your cycle?

Mine was always fine before I went on the pill but afterwards it has been all over the place. Been off them over 3 years now, so should have settled down by now!!

LadyGoneGaga · 08/10/2010 13:41

Between 28 and 40 days since having my son based on "normal" cycles. On post-miscarriage cycle this time so been testing since day 17 post-mc, finally got a positive cd29!

How wonky are yours?

The sticks are fine, just need to make sure they are equally as dark or darker than the control for a pos. Ignore the fainter ones, even if they are almost as dark. they still don't count. But they do work, I promise!

GetDownYouWillFall · 08/10/2010 16:39

Mine sound similar to yours. The latest I have ov'd has been on day 32, making a total cycle length of 44 days! In fact I conceived DD on day 32 of a cycle, so I know it is possible to ovulate that late and still get pregnant.

Then last month I ov'd on day 13 and cycle length was just 27 days. Makes TTC very confusing and difficult.

Have never got into OPKs before but realising that just BBT charting isn't quite enough for us anymore.

queenrollo · 08/10/2010 18:28

i've bought grapefruit juice today, so i'm hoping with that and my herbal stuff i'm going to be lucky this month.
Think the herbal stuff is doing something......my boobs were very sore before AF arrived and they still areHmm.

I need to get a handle on feeling stressed though as i think this is a big barrier. Two of the main culprits have been resolved (waiting for dates for building work to start) and i need to be more chilled out about other things.

Eskarina · 08/10/2010 22:53

Is there room for another one at the back?

Eskarina TTC #1, Cycle 4, UCL 27-35 (tending towards 33ish), CD14. AF due anywhere from 22-29th Oct)

I've been trying to do temp charts for a while, even before ttc and I seem to defy every rule there is about them....temp seems to dip rather than rise for ovulation. No idea what's going on really. We're officially being relaxed about it, but at the moment it's only the cost stopping me from buying a clearblue monitor thingy

GetDownYouWillFall · 09/10/2010 08:23

Hi there Eskarina temps can dip just before ovulation.... do they then show an increase for the 2 weeks or so before your next period?

So you are on CD14 - I guess you are well into the BD phase then Grin

Hoping this is the cycle for you.

Second day of raised temps for me today (yesterday I thought may have just been due to insomnia), so am hoping I am now in the 2 week wait....

LadyGoneGaga · 09/10/2010 08:31

Cycle buddy, cycle buddy! Second day of high temps for me too. If I put a third on in tomorrow (just to see) FF thinks I laid on Thurs which tallies with the opk, cm and cp so v happy (this is first ov post mc which is why being sucjh a mentalist about it Grin )

Hi Eskarina are you on FF? Can you share your chart? Also pop over to Charter's anonymous fred if you are confused - lots of experience there.

GetDownYouWillFall · 09/10/2010 08:38

yay LadyGoneGaga so are we due AF on the same day then?? I reckon mine's due on 18th/10

Am hoping today was an actual raised temp day and not just some spurious reading... think so as I slept well and took it dead on 7am (my normal time)

Did some SWI on sunday and tues so may not have exactly "hit the target" but hopefully near enough, what you reckon?

LadyGoneGaga · 09/10/2010 08:56

Getdown I thought I was due 22 Oct if ovved on Thurs so put you down for same day, but change it if you have a shorter luteal phase. Is only approximate anyway! If you ovved on Thurs your Tues SWI could well have done it - I conceived last time from a SWI two days before ov. We did Mon, Tues, Weds - tried Thurs am but we couldn't quite get there, ahem. I don't know how Knitter does it!

GetDownYouWillFall · 09/10/2010 09:13

thanks LadyGoneGaga awww I feel included

When we conceived DD, I thought there was no possible way I could be pregnant because we SWI'd SIX DAYS before I ovulated. SIX DAYS!!

I literally could not believe it when I got a BFP. Just shows those little swimmers can hang around longer than we think!!

yes I think 22nd Oct due for AF is fair, although I do sometimes have an LP of around 12-13 days... we'll see....

Am now having doubts about whether today was actually a temp increase day after all Confused - it was up, but not definitively up IYSWIM... sorry, getting obsessed now.

Mon, Tues, Wed and tried thurs too? Wow, that's commitment Grin I don't think my DH would manage that Grin

Eskarina · 09/10/2010 09:18

Thanks, LadyGoneGaga & GetDownYouwillFall (love both names BTW!)

I'm not on FF, though I have looked at it. I'm a bit scatty and disorganised and it's taken me about 5 months to remember wake up and take temp everyday, I don't think I'd manage to get it onto the computer. Someone has suggested an iphone app. I mentioned this to DH (he's the only iphone owner in the house). The polite version of his response was "not bloody likely"!

LadyGoneGaga · 09/10/2010 09:18

It about killed DP Grin. Not as young as used to be.

Knitter been known to do it three times a day, ALL MONTH!

GetDownYouWillFall · 09/10/2010 09:23

three times a day all month?

GetDownYouWillFall · 09/10/2010 09:24

Grin @ Eskarina 's DH - "not bloody likely"
