Can't believe i'm the first person who is going to be trying for a July 2011 baby... but when I searchd I couldn't find a bus so figured I should start one.

So about me... I have a wonderful 2yo son and am trying to concieve no. 2. We've been TTC since Nov last year and since then have had an ectopic and a miscarriage at 13 weeks :(. After the ERPC I was on the June Bus but AF got me this morning. My stats are:

KnitterNotTwitter TTC#2 cycle 2 (round 3) UCL 28-32 CD1

Looking forward to being joined by some lovely people soon....

Luce2006 · 24/09/2010 11:39

I'll jump on board (but not confident at all)DS is a July baby and it would be nice to have another one Smile
Sorry to read about you MC and the ectopic Sad

KnitterNotTwitter TTC#2 cycle 2 (round 3) UCL 28-32 CD1

Luce2006 TTC#2 cycle 14 UCL 19-36 CD24

KnitterNotTwitter · 24/09/2010 11:47

oooh - thanks Luce for the nice words. Yes MC and ectopic weren't fun but the fear of not having another DC is stronger than the fear of having either again if that makes sense. And the good thing is that I get a 5/6 week scan so get to see potential beans a bit earlier (and check they're not clogging up my remaining tube :) )

I assume you're jumping on board in expectation that you're not pg now?

OP posts:
Luce2006 · 24/09/2010 11:58

good thing tht they will give you an early scan!!
Well, I know for sure that I"m not pg . Didn't get a positive this month with OPKs and my 21 day test showed that my progesteron levels are extremely low Sad ( 3 to be precise)
I guess I'm just hoping in a miracle cause I"m getting no help from the GP at the moment Sad

KnitterNotTwitter · 24/09/2010 12:08

Oh - so you're just waiting for AF... I'm afraid I know nothing about hormone levels but 3 for progesterone sounds low... what does that mean in practical terms?

OP posts:
Luce2006 · 24/09/2010 12:23

yes, just waiting for AF to show her ugly head. Lareday have mild twinges si i guess she will be here soon over the next 3/4 days

in practical terms it means that if my levels stay so low I'll never get pg becuase progesteron is vital to create a fertile, warm environment in the womb and promote the survival of the fertilized egg through healthy implantation Sad

KnitterNotTwitter · 24/09/2010 12:30

OMG - that is crap. Surely your doctor should be at least a little bit helpful. Or ask to see a different doctor??

OP posts:
MamaPower · 24/09/2010 12:37

I'll hope on your bus knitter and hope this brings me luck!! Think I might just me more of a lurker on this one!
Hi Luce, sounds like you are slightly ahead of me but I am having blood tests on Thursday (7dpo/day 21) as it is belieevd I too have low level progesterone issues (poss caused by my first mc screwing my hormones/cycle), causing LPD (Luteal Phase Defect). As far as I have read level 10+ is what we're aiming before in order to retain a pg. I am under the impression though that a very simple prescription for Progesterone will hopefully resolve that issue, has your GP not discussed this with you?

MamaPower · 24/09/2010 12:37

errr that should have been hop

MamaPower · 24/09/2010 12:38

feck it...bad hair day, general apology for spelling errors!!

Luce2006 · 24/09/2010 12:50

Mamapower Are you on any tablets for it?

the Dr I've been seeing since March NEVER took any interest in the fact that I have a short LP.Told SEVERAL Times but she just wouldn't listen Sad Friends told me it could be a case of just taking B6 and I did for 6 cycles but nothing changed.
I had day21 test done last cycle and it came back with level 3 but she just said that it was probably just a one off and that because I"m young and already have a child surely there's nothing wrong with me and she's sent me to have them done againAngry So I asked to see a different Dr for a second opinion( I went yeaterday) and she did agree that my LP is too short( it goes from a minimun of 3 days to a maximum of 6 when I'm lucky) so I asked her if she could prescribe me something to correct it but she said no.
It was shamble of a visit to be honest... I asked her to discuss the results of the 21 day test and another I had done on day 3 with me and she said she wasn't going to because she didn't request them so I had to go back and see the other Dr Confused also I asked her to refer me to the consultat and she said she had to talk to the other Dr first and see if she agreed Confusedand we=hen I showed her my charts she laughed and told me I was obsessed Confused .I left that I was very angry
BUT called this morning to ask who I needed to speak to to complain and guess what? just received a call saying I've been referred to the consultant!!LOL

KnitterNotTwitter · 24/09/2010 12:54

Mama feel free to hop or hope on this bus... I guess we're all hoping for the BFP so it's a very appropriate typo... Do you want to add your stats to a lurkers category?

Luce good news on the consultant referral. and Grrrr at the doctor who said you were obsessed. The problem is that she should be too... double Grrr

OP posts:
MamaPower · 24/09/2010 13:10

Knitter guess it was quite freudian! I'll perhaps add in the stat's later, should I get the LPD sorted out and that would make going for a July bean a deff go'er Smile

Luce that's bloody shocking and you should still complain! Hope the consultant is more helpful.
I have bloods next Thursday so assume will see GP early following week, I will keep you posted with any info Smile

Luce2006 · 24/09/2010 20:49

KNT yes,it's good news!!It'll probably be 4/5 weeks before I can see it so I've booked myself in with a Gyneacologist next Wednesday
MPI'm crap at complaining so will get a friend of mine to help me Grin
Fingers crossed your results will come back ok!!

well,I'm already spotting so I think tomorrow will be CD1 of cycle 15 Confused

fatheadsgirl · 27/09/2010 16:45

How do all! Have had all my blood tests done this morning. What a palaver that was! DD decided that the moment I sat in the chair infront of the nurse was the perfect time to start a scale 9 temper tantrum. Then because the dates on my paperwork didn't match todays date (because AF came early and tests have to be done on certain CD's) they weren't sure wheather or not to do the tests. When they did do them I had to take my paperwork AND bloods back up to EPAU, get them to issue me new paperwork with today's date on or the lab wouldn't test my blood work, then take the new paperwork, still carrying my bloods, back down to ante-natal, where I encountered the worlds most unhelpful staff who eventually took my bloods and my paperwork only to leave me standing at reception awaiting further instruction before DP had to interrupt their personal conversation to ask if they were finished with me and if I could go home. Still hopefully it'll all be worth it and we'll get some answeres.
How's everyones else today?
Luce When do you meet the latest addition to your family?

fledtoscotland · 27/09/2010 20:37

Evening all

AF was 3 days late this month but think it was the stress of having shingles last month and DS1 being in hospital for his grommets & adenoids at the weekend. Am so gutted as got positive with OPK last month so we DTD at the "right" time.

Makes it even worse as my lovely neighbour got a BFP today and I'm so happy for her yet feel like crying :(

anyway here are the stats:

Luce2006 TTC#2 cycle 14 UCL 19-36 CD27
Fatheadsgirl TTC#2 Cycle3(post 3MC's) UCL30-35 CD5
KnitterNotTwitter TTC#2 cycle 2 (round 3) UCL 28-32 CD4

kat2504 · 27/09/2010 22:06

evening all! Am not buying my bus ticket yet as I am riding the last leg of the june bus but haven't reached the AF stop yet so can't get off. Just checking out the bus and seeing what sort of cake and goodies you have, and booking myself the nice seats at the front of the top deck for when I board the bus later this week.

Brasso4 · 27/09/2010 22:25

Can I join the bus - think it is the right one...Hello all...

Brasso4 TTCno2(no sharp sign on keyboard!) cycle 1 UCL (not sure) CD4.

Started to try again, my LO is 8 months old and I want to get PG before I go back to work in January (if possible). Not too confident - took over a year with my DD but trying to be positive.
