Velvet it's not over 'til it's over. I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

PinkFondantFancy · 12/10/2010 18:22

velvet I too have everything crossed for you matey.

(((wombat))) I hear you. Fingers crossed none of us will have to wait very long

PinkFondantFancy · 12/10/2010 18:23

sorry apple I missed your post! Sorry no help on sleeping remedies but maybe hypnotherapy's worth a go? I was getting really badly stressed last month about whether I'd even be able to get pg and then if I did, whether I'd MC again, and I found it really helped.

nickstermum · 12/10/2010 18:57

apples try the lavendar oil in the warm relaxing bath? reading yourself to sleep works for me!

Guys i am really sorry about the ME ME ME posts today. :( it all really just mega pickled my brain and no one else understands..although i did tell my sis this aft that i was OV on day 23 and she kinda pulled her face... just hope the cycle isnt a) too short and b) too long for next time. Absolutely right, i am OV YEAH and thats great post MC, but also want it round again quickly so we can have a proper go :)

Mummy been thinking about my post to you earlier... i was hoping i was sounding re-assuring although i have a feeling i may have sounded not so. I hope you dont think that! I hope you are ok and the consultant can offer you an alternative to prog if indeed you need it :) which hopefully you wont xxx

velvet sorry you have no definitive answers yet :( bloody bodies, do they not realise how much they inconvenience us?!?! Grin

nickstermum · 12/10/2010 18:59

wombat second that.... longing inside is inbred i think :( (((hugs)))

Velvetcu · 12/10/2010 19:06

me too Wombat!!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 12/10/2010 19:13

wombat I'm with you there Sad x

Jamface · 12/10/2010 19:26

I feel like you too today wombat. Got a bit emotional in the park about the unfairness of it all again.

But the main reason I wanted to write today just quickly is to send big hugs to mummya. I can imagine how frustrated and at the end of your tether you feel. 14 weeks is a long time, and you've been so great on here, so warm and funny and supportive. You deserve a break. On a practical side, have you tried anything alternative? I'm p*ed off AF is on its way but do see that it's a good thing that my cycle has come down from 6 to about 4 weeks. I think it's partly due to acupuncture and I also went to see a nutritionist and made a few big changes to my diet to try to regulate my cycle, lots of liver cleansing and alkalising (no caffeine, gah Shock). Anyway, I'm thinking of you all the way over there and hope you're OK x

loola2shu · 12/10/2010 19:46

Hello all,

Sorry I've been a stranger!

What a bunch of chatterboxes you all are, I lurk often but can never keep up!

Mummy So sorry AF still hasn't turned up! Is it Northisterone you've been taking? Would maybe BCP do the trick? I know its soul destroying going on it when its actively doing the opposite of what you want, but may regulate things in long run?

Wombat I could've written that post, sometimes its just overwhelming isn't it Sad

PFFF was it you with the cowbag SIL? sorry can't remember! I was totally Shock & Angry when I read that, did she skive off and miss the bedside manner lecture when she was training?! Unbelievable!

Nickster I'm with you chickadee, we are proper cycle buddies this month! we had the random spotting & supposed oving the other week and now we are both oving late Confused I am wondering if the spotting was a tiny af? I didn't even get red blood but I thought if thats what it was, then it would make it cd12ish which seems about normal. However I always ov late so day 28 isn't odd for me! I went for swabs last Wed after the spotting and really bad back, crampyness so hopefully I will get results tomorrow and know more. I've read somewhere that 40 day cycles are fine and normal and if you've oved on cd23 the latest you would af would be cd39 so its fine x

I think that the 2ww is going to last forever, I managed to get in 3swi over the oving stage, so feeling quite hopeful on one hand, but then worrying that cd 28 is too late to ov?! que sara I suppose

Anyway sorry for not name checking everyone but I have a memory of a fish. Hope everyone's well xx

loola2shu · 12/10/2010 19:50

Oh and velvet not meaning to get your hopes up but when I was pg with ds & dd and also mc I have always have 'offwhite cm' so may be a really good sign!

nickstermum · 12/10/2010 20:07

apples mummy abroad is always right!

Hey loola pussycat lady! (my loola has been romping round the lounge all eve chasing a plastic mouse.... have you?!?! Grin

Cycle buddy!!! Be interesting to see if we spot again next month. 39day AF would be about right and maybe all this bloody stressing has not helped! Wouldnt a 39/40 day cycle and a CD23OV give me a short luteal phase?

My slogan is manners cost nothing.....and therefore everyone should be polite without effort!

nickstermum · 12/10/2010 20:09

Jam, velvet wombat ((((HUGS))))

nickstermum · 12/10/2010 20:15

and my last post for the night. Just to say i have finally noticed the difference in my cervix after 3 weeks of checking!!!!! Praise the lord! :)

inbetweener · 12/10/2010 20:52

Wombat (((((((()))))))) I know, I really do.

I was in the EPU this afternoon surrounded by couples coming out of the dept opposite looking at their scan pics and being all excited. I was so......sad. felt just stupid sitting there knowing mine was ebbing away into a jumbo size pad !!!

Ah well, tonight im having a very large vodka and then going to bed. Thanks again for welcoming me aboard everyone.

loola2shu · 12/10/2010 21:28

Inbetweener Its awful having to see that, I can't understand why they have the maternity ward next to the mc ward. I was exactly the same. xx

Nickster I could be accused of romping around lounge, however not a plastic mouse in sight Wink 39 cycle would give you a luteal phase of 15days if I am right, which is good!

Urbanlolly · 12/10/2010 21:39

Good evening lovely ladies... Just sticking my head round the corner with a cake tin full of B-day cake and all sorts of other sweet treats...
Jeewizz just took me 2 hrs to catch up, my head is swimming with names and news..... Sorry just no way I can keep up with you guys.
Congrats apple just the best news hugs & kisses... sorry you can't sleep it's crap when your dog tired yet the old mind keeps on wizzing around what about oveltine horlicks sorry can't spell, warm milk a bit of honey ??? Just try & keep those thoughts as happy as possible xx

mummya (((((((hugs))))))) thinking of you....your just the best with all your great advice.. But please listen to it as well...hopefully the massages do the trick xx

wombat ((((((((BIG HUGS))))))))

and hugs to all... I know it's so crap that we are all here but Reading all your posts really helps me, just knowing I'm not crazy, that it's kinda normal ok to have shifty cycles, I'm not the only one not to have told her parents( dh thinks it's weird) or twin sis...that it's just so bloody hard sometimes,
So thank you all for sharing all your thoughts and feelings xx (bit sad tonight)

on a lighter note ordered first batch of poas.... Have temped to get preggers last time but since cycles are not behaving need something else to reassure...!
Btw I have always temped at night!! (I start work at all sorts of times) Seems to have worked ok for me, try to keep routine as much as poss do it at 11pm & try to sit on arse or read in bed for 2-3 hrs before.... I just make a note on ff if things are a bit off.

Hope you all have a lovely rest of week... Back to lurkin!!!!
Hello&hugs to all the new girls your in the BESTplace

loola2shu · 12/10/2010 21:40

Oh and Nickster Have you tried B12? I take B6 to reduce PMT but I think if this isn't 'THE' cycle then I will add B12 to my list.

Funnily the last time I conceived was the 1st cycle I used B6!

nickstermum · 12/10/2010 21:45

pussycat taking BVit complex which has all of those in it :)

BATFINK hope the exams go well xxx

PV how are you feeling lovely?

Urbanlolly · 12/10/2010 21:52

Do you girls think grapefruit juice helps men to produce better sperm juice??? iykwim.... Just screamed "it's MINE don't touch" didn't really tell him what it's excatly for....!! Better to keep them in the relative darkness?

nickstermum · 12/10/2010 22:08

urban was he drunk? Who would want to drink it voluntarily, not for a cause?! Grin I think you should do an experiment, and share your answers on here :)

ahem... i am led to believe that fish oil/esential fatty acids increases the level of mucas produced with male ejac, although no of sperm not sure. I think thats where the other critters Zinc and selenium come in. Gettng DH to take supps is hard enuff, without trying to forcefeed gf juice Grin

Urbanlolly · 12/10/2010 22:24

Well as per usual the bottle is half empty.... Yuck just thinking how horrible his next drink of wine must of been!!! Didn't stick around currently in bed huffing due to stupid male comments regarding TTC, it takes time, leave your body alone, stop reading crap, & filling it with pills.....ARSE HOLE.... as he happily tucks into another friggin glass of red...
Will however eat the pain and continue with the gf experiment if he's a bit nicer may even up grade to a nicer mixed juice....

Urbanlolly · 12/10/2010 22:29

O his mummy!! keeps him stocked up with a regular supply if vits... In fact we have a stockpile of around 8 packs...... Will check the labels tomorrow...if needed will tempt him with lots of mixed nuts( a few extra brazil thrown in) he won't be able to resist!!

MummyAbroad · 12/10/2010 22:46

me three wombatSad I spent the morning cuddling the orphan babies down the park, they live nearby and come every day. I tell myself that we go so that DS can play with them, but I think its me who wants to spend time with them more than he does!

Nix - No dont worry! It was a lovely post, every one has said lovely things actually.(Thank you guys Smile) I do think I just need to calm down, go and see a new gyne (booked for Thurs evening) and its true that AF could still come but I think its time to go get help rather than wait around for it, its the waiting thats been driving me nuts.

and WHOOP WHOOP for ov! and WHOOP WHOOP for cervix check! I know you want DH here but sex up to 5 days pre ov is still good timing, and you did get some in didnt you? FX!!

apple If you can get some, dried hops works a treat. Put some in a net bag near your pillow, add dried lavender if you want it to smell nicer. Its VERY effective, originally discovered because hops pickers were always found asleep on the job! If you cant get any try a relaxing herbal tea, its more effective if you are not drinking alcohol or caffine though.

Jamface thanks for reminding me about alternative stuff, I have a bottle of red clover blossom in the cupboard that I had forgotton about. Will get back on it, but as ovulation doesnt seem to be the problem, not sure if it will really help. I think I might start looking for an acupuncturist too...

loola2shu I took Progendo 100mg twice a day. It actually worked for me 2 years ago, I had an ERPC for retained placenta after DS was born, didnt get my period for 6 months, took progesterone and it came back fine. I did have a slightly overactive thyroid at that time though, so it was a different situation. Whats BCP? Should I ask my gyne about it on Thurs?

Had an amazing massage, DH has found a new gyne for me and booked me an appointment, its been gorgeous weather all day (v unusual for rainy season) and am generally feeling much better than I did this morning. Smile

CaribouMoo · 12/10/2010 22:57

PFF I'm glad to read about your BFN, this time at least. Like you I never used to scrutise bodily functions with such vigour so no idea about clots but advise from others sounds reassuring.

Nickster and AR I'm sure I can remember a cycle after my first MC where I had obscene amounts of EWCM for well over a week. Maybe its just one of those things with your body settling back down again? Best of luck to you Nick and PFF with your adventures in charting! And a whoop for a positive opk Nick, is DH home tomorrow - that should be ok?

Inbetweener 36 is nothing! That's a bit of an extreme reaction from your GP but glad she took some sensible action at least.

MummyA i am at a loss about what to say about your RTD. No wonder you are at the end of your tether. Sounds like you need someone different to check you out, must be so frustrating not getting answers. Try not to get hung up on the scarring suggestions, although I know you will be desperate for answers. Everything crossed it arrives soon and your cycles settle down.

Apples no idea about sleeping rememdies. Try your best not to think about things too much, bedtime is always bad for that I know. This time round I am doing much better at pretending this isn't happening. My first pregnancy after MC I totally stressed out thinking about what could go wrong and it did no good. This time I have managed to put it out of my mind and even after the first good scan am trying not to get too carried away.

Wombat hope you're ok pal, we all know that feeling x

Urban men are stupid. Someone else's DH said to her that getting pregnant isn't a science. Doh!

Hope everyone else is well x

(Wanders off to bed pondering how you could every insert 'fanjo' in an every day conversation.)

MummyAbroad · 12/10/2010 23:25

Forgot to say how amused I am by "fanjo" too Grin Never mind everyday conversations who can get it into a POEM? Where is our residential poet?
