velvet I would try to hang on till tomorrow and test with FMU unless you OV'd early - how many dpo are you now?

LadyBee all back to normal here so looking on it as a blip - surely would be way too early for anything good anyway? - please do not encourage me on the symptom-spotting!!!

PrettyVacant1 · 03/10/2010 14:38

Have done in the past LadyB but not last night.
Hmm

Well done and welcome back! Smile

nickstermum · 03/10/2010 15:37

WHO? Thinks the steptoe description was very apt...

PV i didnt know your history either until you said 7. What are NK cells? Fab that you got to 12 weeks with the steroids, absolutely SHIT it was a molar. (not that i know much about either) .... heres hoping you get upduffed soon... seem to be a run on at the min... hairy digi... mmm i wonder who will be next :)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/10/2010 15:49

Wow - just popped onto the other thread to congratulate digitalgirl - that's great news Grin. Let's hope our luck holds out a bit longer, it's lovely to see some BFPs coming in...

PrettyVacant1 · 03/10/2010 16:02

Arthur Dent

Never knowingly one to make an effort, my boy. Grin

Yeah round 7 for me.
This was the cycle I got diffed last year so who knows 'eh.

PrettyVacant1 · 03/10/2010 16:17

Sorry Nicks (NK)Natural Killer cells are lovely things really, we all have them and they protect our uterus' against nasty things.
Mine are a little too overprotective and kill off anything thats not fully genetically me, eg. pregnancies.
The 'riods keep 'em in check for a while until the placenta takes over.
That's the theory anyway, I'm yet to find out.
They also make me eat like a horse and go a little craay-zee.
Which is nice.
Grin

Molar is when the foetus doesn't develop properly and can turn into a cancerous ball of cells which in turn can spread throughout the body.
I got the all clear and days later then found out that I carry a duplication of chromosome 22 which we had to wait 3 months to TTC again whilst an app for a Genetics counselor came through for them only to tell us that "It should be alright and it had nothing to do with previous MC"

And here ends todays cheery lesson. Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/10/2010 17:12

pv sounds like you've had a hell of a time of it Sad. I hope this cycle's the one for you x

appleblossoms · 03/10/2010 17:44

Quick hello to all... sorry if I don't post much, I'm in hibernation during my 2ww. Keep flipping between feeling really scared that I might actually be pregnant and really down that i'm probably not sigh

MrsPreeeety hello again, my ickle sis would be mightily impressed with Mr Pretty's fancy dress - she is a huuuuge hitch hiker's fan.... she wrote a novel about socks once in a similar vain Hmm she is a tad odd, in a very lovely way! and sorry you've been feeling rubbish, what a crappy history you've had....I reckon that means you deserve the most sparkliest BFP really really soon - and the most boootiful babba at the end of it Wink

Can't remember who was talking about spotting nicks?.... but I had that for the last two cycles, about the same time too, off to see a gynae about it in a few weeks 'just to be safe', but nothing this month so feel a bit of a fraud. Am now guessing it was my hormones playing up after mc...

Izzy I'm rooting for it being implantation bleeding, it can happen that early!!

velvet did you test? did you test? did you test??? You should wait a little longer..... Wink

waves to wombat, AandR, ladybee, loola, owls, choccy and everyone else

Popcorn and x-factor tonight me thinks......

kat2504 · 03/10/2010 18:27

Grrr day 31, no period, bfn on asda test. Wish it would get a move on! On phone so will read latest news on the thread in the morning. Hope you're all enjoying the weekend!

Velvetcu · 03/10/2010 19:31

Izzy I have no idea how many dpo because i did one opk every other day for a week and they were all negative. im not temping or anything so not a clue except my period tracker says it should have been somewhere around the 24th.

No apple blossoms i didnt. After having a 5 stick stash of cheapies last month with somehow disappeared before CD30 I have refrained from buying and have only 1 cb early response stick and i am determined not to use it until AF is actually significantly late. That way I am proving that I dont think i am upduffed ever and therefore will not be in the slightest bit disappointed when the old bitch turns up.

PV it must be sooo annoying that something that is supposed to be protecting you is causing you problems.

I'm looking forward to lots of BFPs from you guys - they cheer me up even if they arent mine coz you all deserve it :)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/10/2010 19:44

Oh velvet I remember about the OPKs now. Gawd I don't know...back when I was rational and ttc I would only test the day after AF was due, so I was always late. So I would try to hang on if I were you (although clearly part of me really wants you to test now so we can have some news Grin )

nickstermum · 03/10/2010 19:57

PrettyMrs thats a remarkably tough time had by you and Mr PV... you must be incredibly strong. Total Respect! Good that you have a diagnosis to work with though, and that you got to 12 weeks with the last one:) Everything crossed that you get that BFP very, very soon :) :) :)

I am beginning to think the tesco OPKs are useless... either that or i am drinking too much!!! Testing twice per day.

apples it was me talking about spotting. Let me know what the gyne says, interested to see. Prob just hormones, or ov or whatever. Everythings all screwed up post MC!

Izz step away from google monster.... its the devil in disguise..!!!

tigger15 · 03/10/2010 20:47

Hello again I just came on to say congratulations to Dachs I really really hope it goes well.

AandRMum · 03/10/2010 21:51

Just ventured into the wider world of MN ... wow!

I just had a look at the list ... you know how woman start to cycle together if they live together ... I wonder if it can work over the internet! It appears there is the need for much fxing over the next week. Good luck all. I agree with velvet that bfps cheer me up immensely. There is a sense of the world righting itself. Ridiculously I still haven't POAS as the thought of wishing for a negative is just too counter-intuitive. I will just have to put in the long wait for my first af post mc.

nickster porn always makes me laugh. Glad you had a great night out.

LadyBee · 03/10/2010 22:56

Porn?! Wah? Did I miss something on the thread or do I have to go exploring?

LadyBee · 03/10/2010 23:06

Ah I did miss your iPorn nicks, my phone seemed to have skipped over it.

Maybe I should try that for dh, he seems to be oblivious to my come hither glances so far Angry

Urbanlolly · 03/10/2010 23:20

Good evening all, just been catching up... In bed totally busted working all weekend & have another 5 days too go......poor me!

pretty boy you've had a rough time .... FXXXXX for a BFP

there's been allot of talking about spotting... Me too for the last 3 days I'm pretty hopeful it's just our bodies sorting themselves out they've had a pretty big shock afterall. My midwife on day of erpc was lovely, she had gone through the same in the last year.... She told me not to expect things to be normal for a while.....She had lots of odd spotting... & warned me about comparing myself to others!!! "everyone recovers at there own pace"..... I'm trying too keep that in mind....

Hasn't stopped me from pokeing boobs, sticking head in toilet to smell urine (it had a v distinct smell whilst preggers last times)... In very faint hope it may be implantation bleed. Silly Silly Silly Girl!!!!!

Hope you all have a FAB week

MamaPower · 04/10/2010 09:55

Morning all,

Very busy weekend Grin Grin Grin

I won't attempt to try and catch up on the goss... hope you're all well, hugs for those that need them along with a lovely freshly brewed coffee and choc chip biscuits Grin

I can't believe it; I had my blood tests on Thursday to sort our LPD and sods law af didn't arrive yesterday...that means extended lureal phase by at least one day and if the old biatch could hold off for two more days... Smile The only thing I have done differently in an attempt to help level my hormones and help a return to normal service was to take pregnacare...it's got every vitamin under the sun (including B6) wrapped into something the size of a horse tablet but somethings happened this month so perhaps it did help!!

Jamface · 04/10/2010 10:13

OPKs are certainly a bit hard to get the hang of. I had a line last Wednesday (preceded and followed by days of no line) but it wasn't as dark as the test line, but put together with CM and cervical position think I must have ovulated. My ovulation is like the bloody scarlet pimpernel at the moment, all over the place and blink and you miss it. Anyway, we had had a SFF just before and a (DH slightly under duress) SWI after so can't quite believe I'm on the 2WW. I was getting ready for the long haul cycle-wise again so of course I'd love to get pregnant but if not at least it means my cycles are maybe getting back to normal post mc.

How are caribou and hairy. Hope you're feeling truly rubbish (as in experiencing good, strong, healthy, pregnancy symptoms!)

PV fx things work out for you soon.. It's about time you had some good luck. And MummyA hope you're not being driven too insane by long cycle, your body will get there eventually (don't know how readily available alternative therapies are out there but have you tried acupuncture or reflexology?) Also good luck with test results.

and a big hello to everyone else Grin!

Jeez, s'been busy in here. Sorry for posting SIL trauma and then running, but felt v bad that day. feel much better now though. A long weekend away and a visit to said SIL has made me feel better, even if it's to be mainly proud of myself in a supportive and not mememe manner.

Hope you all got lots of SWI done, or had a drunk fun weekend anyway, I'm looking at you nicksWink

It's hard tunnocks. Deep breath. You'll be OK. Keep your head down, try to concentrate on something and before you know it you'll be back home with your family this evening x
