Arrrrgh!! I don't know what was going on with my posts over the weekend! Sorry about that! Still, if you've got to get stuck on Groundhog day, Christmas day is a pretty good day to get stuck on!

I haven't managed to catch up fully, but Tunnocks - good luck today at work.. Take yourself off for a walk around the block if it gets too much. I found it helped. Hugs x

Hello everyone else!

Oh, I poas today and BFN:(

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 04/10/2010 11:59

tunnocks (((((hugs))))) it might not feel like it but you are doing really well. I second wombat's suggestion of getting out for some fresh air if you can, it will help to clear your head a bit. You're nearly halfway through the day - hang on in there!

mamapower that's really interesting - I've got a lp of about 10 days so this month have been taking pregnacare conception and b6 tablets in an attempt to make a difference. Am really pleased to hear the cuts seem to be helping for you (although I don't think it's worked for me this month - I feel bloated and spotty and generally as though AF is round the corner!)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 04/10/2010 12:24

Grrr - vits not cuts , damn this auto-correct!!

wombat Sad. Maybe too early??

AandRMum · 04/10/2010 13:12

Tunnock it is likely nothing but I would definitely get it checked out. Every ache and pain seems magnified when you actually pay attention to your body ... much better when I was oblivious. The gin will help with that . It is the worst when people are kind about it all. It'll get better soon at work.

Wombat fx it is just a bit early. I hate POASing

Wombat33 · 04/10/2010 13:47

Tunnocks I'm getting a very similar sounding pain, often when I wee (sorry for TMI). My doc did a urine test (clear) and has now sent me for a scan (tonight) to check for abcesses or something - he thought it was unlikely but might have just been trying to get rid of me. If that shows nothing I'm going to ask him to do a swab to check for infection (not sure why he's sent me to hospital before doing this but hey ho - I'm afraid previous experience of him has dented my faith a bit). I guess the bright side of BFN today is more time to recover from the MC before incubating another bean. I suspect it's most probably just things settling down again, but am just being a bit paranoid careful.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 04/10/2010 15:11

tunnocks - it's probably nothing but definitely worth getting checked out, I remember going to see my dr with some pathetic panicky symptoms of poss infection 1week post-ERPC and feeling silly, but her attitude was that you could never be too careful after any surgery and it's always worth checking. I got abs just in case, but later the tests came back all clear. Was glad I had gone and got checked though (oh and after all that I did actually end up with cystitis 3 weeks later while in Spain!)

Hope your day got better x

nickstermum · 04/10/2010 15:34

teacake if you think have cystitis, take some cranberry tablets... more concentrated than juice. I wouldnt worry too much, but makes sense to see Doc x I worried about getting checked out post MC (and delayed it as i hadnt had a leg wax Confused but dont worry about pestering them!

Sorry you are struggling at work :( but good that you have chatted it through. wombo hoping its early :(

YRMOTB havent seen XF but heard on t'wireless that something scandalous about Cher?

Losing trust in OPKs - :(

Are you lovely chattermonsters saying you want me to cut and paste my sordid porn novel?!?!?!?!? wont i get booted off here?!?!?! Ha ha Grin maybe i will find you an excerpt:)

MummyAbroad · 04/10/2010 15:58

hello everyone, I'm still lurking away until I get "back in the game" as it were.

teacake- I totally agree with the others that you should get checked out. When you look at the risks of having an untreated infection, it really massively outweighs any argument for not going. Please dont take any risks with your health, go get checked! If they manage to give you some peace of mind that recovery is all going well, that is all to the good, and probably something you could do with right now anyway.

Just to remind you signs of infection are:
Pain
fever
chills
smelly discharge

even if you only have ONE of these symptoms you should go get checked. A simple course of antibiotics will sort you out, so nothing to worry about treatment-wise.

Hope you manage to feel a bit better at work, have you considered taking a couple of days off? Sometimes we dont get to decide when our subconcious minds have decided to start grieving, it can happen at the most inconvenient times and places! Big hug for you xxxx

Nix looking forward to the saucy stories Wink (better not say "p" word too often on MN or we will all get booted off! )

sorry for lack of chocolate gifts today, it all Blush

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 04/10/2010 16:07

Arsecrackers. Definite spotting now, in similar way to start of period. Am only on cd25. Usually have this on cd28 or 29 then AF arrives about 12 hours later. Which means, if she comes true to form, it would only be 7dpo. What kind of useless fecking luteal phase is that?!!

MummyAbroad · 04/10/2010 16:08

Damn those arsecrackers Izz :(

i thought agnus castus was supposed to help luteal phase (wont say defects as that sounds awful...) ishoos!

teacake bashful and shy, or not... your girlie bits needs a lookin' at Grin Grin Grin (by a doc obviously) Grin

Scheduled for the old SWI tonight ladies.... nowt like a spot of spontaneity Hmm

kat2504 · 04/10/2010 17:59

Hi teacake well done for getting through the day at work, sorry it was a tough one but hope you have a lovely relaxing evening. Agree with the others about getting pain looked at, at least it will reassure you and stop you worrying that something serious is wrong.
izzy early AF, what a nuisance. I had a too-short luteal phase last month (if you believe the opks) but this month it is rather the opposite - don't know what to expect anymore. Hope you have a better cycle this time around.

still no af, still bfn.

AandRMum · 04/10/2010 18:04

nicks I have had AC before but not sure of the impact on the lp which I only just found out. Good luck in temptress mode!

Had lovely two hour gossip with bestest friend ... feeling much better about life!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 04/10/2010 18:27

nicks - get the cheesewire and the iPorn back out Grin

kat sorry you're not getting any answers - what has happened to all our crappy cycles? I mean, apart from the lovely ladies with BFPs this month, we seem to be all over the place!

Am going to google agnus castus...again. Think someone mentioned something else on the ttc list of ridiculousness that was similar but not as strong - was it red clover blossom?

Velvetcu · 04/10/2010 19:12

Hi tunnock

well done for getting back to work. I had 2 weeks off after ERPC so you are doing better than me! The girls are right - go and get checked out if you are worried. I was in loads of pain for the whole 2 weeks and then slightly less for another week or so but i had some surgery complications which probably explains that.

Hope everyone is well. I'm so proud of myself - I drove straight past the cheapie HPT shop with gritted teeth so I didnt go in and buy any. I have decided I will test on Sunday if there is no sign of AF. This week is going to drag!

Bring on the porno novel excerpt!

youremindmeofthebabe · 04/10/2010 19:27

velvet cycle buddy, I feel PMT-y. I think this months is not my month.. But well done you!

nicks I want a C&P, please. When you're not too busy though. I could do with some amusement. I was going to say i could do with some light releif, but that just sounds really wrong..

teacake hope you feel a sense of achievement, the first day back is 'orrible.

Waves to all, going to watch the inbetweeners, as it appeals to my infantile sense of humour.

MummyAbroad · 04/10/2010 19:33

Hello again (not much good at lurking am I?Grin)

I took red clover blossom,

pros: I think it made me ovulate

cons:

  1. I scoured the internet and couldnt find any creditable "science" for it (unlike AC, which has proper studies you can read)

  2. Says everywhere not to be used while pregnant so you should only take it for the first half of your cycle

  3. I have the most f*ked up cycle out of everyone on this thread! So for gods sake dont do anything I did!! ha haha! Grin

go on then, you can share my some of my secret chocolate stash!

kat2504 · 04/10/2010 20:13

thanks for the twix. Quite nice! Have you got any Twirls?

Boyfriend has just booked lovely holiday for us in three weeks time. Mega shame it will not be the "right time" as four nights in a hotel would have definitely yielded results. Having said that the last one was a result of a romantic city break so perhaps better not to repeat that method,eh? Looking forward to my half term trip at any rate!

tigger15 · 04/10/2010 20:24

RTD came for me today but am still in a good mood as

  1. I wasn't trying: and
  2. My cycle has gone up from 24 to 29 which is what it used to be pre-miscarriage so maybe my homeopathic stuff is finally doing the trick.

Oh well that sounds pretty good, as far as getting AF goes Tigger, forgive the curiousity but have you found that you & DH are wanting to do the deed more/less/not at all now that the pressure is off?

Sorry, I start thinking about the effect all this ttc stuff has on our relationship around this time (i.e. when we're in the middle of the shag fest) each month. I think because my friend who is having IUI has always known that she wouldn't conceive naturally, so sex in her relationship has Never been about ttc. I just can't even imagine what that is like now. I guess when this stage of our lives is over it will return to being SFF again.

Also, I guess for me, the first half of the cycle is always the optimistic, reasonably happy side, but with underlying stress about the sex. Whereas the last half is reasonably relaxed about sex but underlying stress about whether we've conceived. Would be nice to reach a point when underlying stresses weren't around, wouldn't it?

On that note, I'm off to bed to read a book Wink
