Ahoy Gin Hags, behold the Hendrick?s Palais, the finest sea goin? vessel that ever left these God forsaken shores. Packed with comely wenches and salty seamen, I be lookin? for a BESHly crew to travel the seas in search of booty. Land lubbers lackin? a twisted disposition need not apply.

Let me shiver yer minges with tales of the fearsome Droid Monster, who raises his bloody head each month, and the dreaded 2WOOFL, where the vaguest signs can be espied from the top o? the Crow?s Nest.

Get ye to the Brig, yer scurvy dogs, where Roger the Cabin Boy will see to yer needs, or apply the Cat O? Nine tails to yer britches if ye should mutter the oaths of Babydust.

Drink up me hearties, yo ho(es).

Just came in to tell Aries with some certainty that her last post seals the duffage deal. I only ever manage to find out I am pregnant if I/we are having lots of extreme work/end of world type stress. So there

Also I am pumping a lot at the moment. But as that is mum n dad's word for fart since I was a kid it is doing nowt to improve my fitness!

gaga well done mate

Ariesgirl · 22/09/2010 19:00

That's it then! Right, where are the piss sticks?

ginhag · 22/09/2010 19:01

I/we should really have read 'mr gin/we' but it's all much the same in our house... My stress is your stress n all....

Ariesgirl · 22/09/2010 19:02

Fuck! Forgot to say the same to Gaga You have an inner core of steel, and I mean that in the nicest and best possible way.

saltyair · 22/09/2010 19:51

who is Rhod Gilbert?

Gaga I think you need a quick fondle, come here dear. Grin

Ariesgirl · 22/09/2010 19:58

Oi, leave my kidneys alone . I have decided, for real, that the droid is very slightly late because of the stress I have been under.

Rhod Gilbert is a Welsh comedian who bizarrely puts me in mind of a funny, Welsh, intelligent David Beckham. But I may alone here.

saltyair · 22/09/2010 20:06

LATE!!!!! Late and no piss action.

I will be like you next month. Not that I'll need to as there is not chance of Mid Week Action due to me not approaching the topic because of fear of not ever having SECS again. So I imagine the egg will float around then shrivel and die like a little raisin in the sun.

You have nerves of steel lady. I doff my cap to you (whatever that means)

in passing>

saltyair · 22/09/2010 20:07

oohooh..have had sudden attack of empathy..just remembered that my droid was late last onth and it pissed me right off...

Blush sorry Rie

Ariesgirl · 22/09/2010 20:11

The weather is fucking crap here. How about everyone else? Also I banged my head on the boot unsuccessfully trying to shove my bike in the boot of my Ka. Hurt. All other topics welcome.

saltyair · 22/09/2010 20:17

You have a ka!!!!!!

Rie we have so much in common...will you marry me?

Topics...hmm....we could discuss The Ex from ages ago who has been in touch again....or we could discuss the excessive FFJ I have still that noone has explained...

Or

we could talk about the fact that Martin kemp from Spandeau Ballet has just turned up in Waterloo Road (like school but a parallel universe)

So, what's it to be?

Ariesgirl · 22/09/2010 20:20

I have that on here too and was puzzled to see Amanda Burton there. As well as Martin Kemp! Are secondary schools really as shit as Waterloo Road?

My Ka is a 2002 rustbucket and has done 95,000 miles. I have just had to spend £650 on it. I am not amused.

So, tell us about The Ex.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 22/09/2010 20:39

Aries I am collecting your wee to conduct experiments on.

Ocarina It took me a long time to conceive last time so I want to try asap. I'd like a small gap - so as I don't change my mind if Bear is a horrid toddler! Grin He will be 5 months when we ditch the condoms. I'd like to have as many as is (financially) possible before the last of my eggs turn to salmonella-ridden dust.

I am back from Body Pump. Hardest thing is press-ups - although you build your numbers quickly. Lunges are the tool of Satan and I try to blend in to the walls so the instructor doesn't see me doing 1 to his 3. Grin

saltyair · 22/09/2010 20:42

Mine is from 2002 too!! And has done roughly the same mileage. And is about to go in for MOT...eeek!

Well..is all v v strange.

Ex contacted me ages ago and asked if I was ok, because he'd been thinking about me annd felt that i wasn't.

I replied, saying yes fine thanks, how are you.

Nothing for ages, then another email just making conversation. Which I replied to in a similar vein. There have been a few more - nothing inappropriate or anything.

Now I want to point out at this stage that i love MrS and would never do anything behind his back, ever. But I have to admit to feeling bit, well, funny about this contact. Ex and I had an extremely physical and very intense relationship. It makes me feel a little fluttery him being in touch. I haven't told anyone this. This is a bad thing, isn't it?

saltyair · 22/09/2010 20:49

oh god..I just read that back.

I am horrible.

Casserole · 22/09/2010 20:56

I was just wondering what you Rierie and Saltster thought of Waterloo Road. Is it realistic? Surely not.... I want to like it but I think it's a bit shite, secretly...

Hmm, sounds like the Ex might not want to be the Ex anymore Salted

saltyair · 22/09/2010 20:57

have killed thread Sad

saltyair · 22/09/2010 20:58

It is shite Cass not true to life and not that well acted.

Ex can want what he likes. Tis my reaction that worries me

MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 21:01

You're not horrible Salts, divnae be a silly sausage. Having been married since 1834 etc. etc., I have had to remark on numerous occasions to numerous fretful friends that loving Person A does not constitute some form of chemical castration with respect to Persons B, C, D, E, and indeed anyone else who might cross your path in the next fifty years.

So long as you know where your boundaries are, and that they're all right for you, then it's fine. Don't worry about where anyone else might have put the boundary: ain't none of their damn business & that's a fact.

MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 21:49

Did I break Mumsnet?!

rocketleaf · 22/09/2010 21:50

salts was going to post something along the lines of what mina said but MN kicked me out for a bit. She said it better than I would have anyway.

watched Waterloo for the first series then lost interest.

Ariesgirl · 22/09/2010 21:55

I had a wonderful reply prepared for salts but MN ate it. Along the lines of Look But Don't Touch and it doesn't really mean anything does it? Well, within reason of course. I was saying a few months ago to these very women here that there are men I would go out for a drink alone with after work and it would be a harmless laugh but there is One In Particular who I shouldn't wouldn't.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/09/2010 22:22

Fine to feel a bit fluttery (and prob healthy, proves you are red blooded young lady with hormones a flying) but for Gawd's sake don't go out for a friendly drink with him and get pissed by mistake. Been there, done that. Never ends well. In a long term sense.

Whenisitmyturn · 22/09/2010 22:27

Eyes Rie suspiciously. Peers over horn rimmed spectacles for a while...

Salts you make me laugh! Wish I had so much pant snot to boast about, but alas I am as dry as the Sahara desert...

Lady, glad you survived. We all heart you!

Ski, wow you crazy fool (smile) I couldn't even contemplate TTC until Mini O was 15 months. However, with hindsight I now wish we had started earlier. My good friend caught first time with 2nd baby after taking a long time with her first so you may be in for a nice surprise!!

Whenisitmyturn · 22/09/2010 22:29

P.S Rie I'm with you on the Rhod Gilbert thing!

rocketleaf · 22/09/2010 22:34

Oh yeah lady glad it wasn't tooooo bad today and Bossman was a bit sympathetic. You are a rock of amazing strength. BTW I don't think I need to POAS still no temp drop but had a bit of a rummage and the pant snot is looking decidedly rusty.
