Ahoy Gin Hags, behold the Hendrick?s Palais, the finest sea goin? vessel that ever left these God forsaken shores. Packed with comely wenches and salty seamen, I be lookin? for a BESHly crew to travel the seas in search of booty. Land lubbers lackin? a twisted disposition need not apply.

Let me shiver yer minges with tales of the fearsome Droid Monster, who raises his bloody head each month, and the dreaded 2WOOFL, where the vaguest signs can be espied from the top o? the Crow?s Nest.

Get ye to the Brig, yer scurvy dogs, where Roger the Cabin Boy will see to yer needs, or apply the Cat O? Nine tails to yer britches if ye should mutter the oaths of Babydust.

Drink up me hearties, yo ho(es).

OOOOOOo new house TartyFarty exciting! Not insensitive at all lover I am following your cycle with interest as I have it all to come. I think follies carry on growing 1-2 mm a day but stop growing after the trigger? It forces all mature follies to release the eggs so you would probably have one. Glad the needles are helping - I've got a sesh later today. I go back probably early October? Whenever droid beeps his sorry arse anyway.

Urgh WhenWhatWhyHow you had sechs for fun. Please stop this disgusting behaviour immediately.

Rocketleaf um no not psychic < quickly slips metal brain probe device off GoesLikeARocket's head while she's distracted>. Shhhh nothing's happening, go back to sleep.

Truffles I also loves rum. On my birthday I had a delicious posh rum that was the same age as me. Yes that had invented booze that long ago, stop sniggering. And no it wasn't the dinosaurs either.

Big snog to RadioGaGa today, and an awed silence to SaltySeaDog. Teenagers in assembly, you are very brave.

Rocketupyour bum Temps staying pretty high there? Can we put a peestick up your bum?

MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 11:33

Just popped head round door to see how LadyGeeGee is getting on - being stoic and brilliant as ever I see. Big hefty fat-armed cuddle to you, madam.

Sorry about the droidage WhenWill Sad. Gah, 'tis a rotten business.

'Ere, who will talk to me about short luteal phases? I know they're far from ideal. I jsut calculated the spotting before this droid started 8DPO. Seems a bit early to moi. I do get a lot of spotting in the run-up to the wee fucker, but I've only just been using the CBFM and calculating exactly when I ovumalate.

anyway. Any advice/tales welcome innit.

Sorry for namechange: might change back in a bit but I like this dress Grin

BarbiesBeaver · 22/09/2010 11:43

MeenyMinyMo vits B6 and herb Vitex are both recommended to extend luteal length. Might be worth a try? Taste nasty though.

OP posts:
MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 11:45

Righto! I had seen that B6 might help. I wonder what causes it tho? Weird. Unless of course only spotting 8DPO isn't that much of an ishoo and it's the full biz. that's the worry

Casserole · 22/09/2010 11:51

Minimina I have Agnus Castus and B6 left over, you're v welcome to them?

Scorpette · 22/09/2010 11:54

Mina, I took B6, Agnus Castus (vitex), L-arginine and Astragalus to help with my short luteal phases (all available from Holland & Barrett and other high street health shops). The month before my win I only had about 7DPO. Am sure that Pol and Drom had short LPs too and it didn't hold us back (eventually). The supplements did help, though, I could tell.

I can't work out all the name changes! [ficko] Sad Blush

LadyGoneGaga · 22/09/2010 12:06

Think Agnus Castus also meant to be good for increasing supply when breastfeeding, Cass so could hold onto it just in case.

cincotart · 22/09/2010 12:08

Sorry Lady for missing that you've gone back to work today. You can make me walk the plank if you like.

seasalt I am also in awe of your secondary school teaching. I've got several friends who are teachers and am always very Envy of the holidays but most definitely not the rest of it. Bet you have loads of comedy tales to tell of your darling pupils...

I'm afraid I no nuffink about short luteal phases meenieminymo. The herb recommendations sound like they might be worth a try what with 2 PESHes saying it.

Whenisitmyturn · 22/09/2010 12:11

Minster I know you have been using the rather fabulous CBFM, but it might also be an idea to temp for a month or two to see what your LP looks like? If it's a progesterone ishoo then temping might pick it up. Am no expert though, just a fort I had.

Ariesgirl · 22/09/2010 13:27

Be cautious when using Agnyss Cactus, Meen. It's apparently quite strong stuff. I used to to try and stop the spotting, and it appeared to do so for a couple of months and then didn't do anything for the spotting and the cycle lengths went all variable. So I just carried on using B6 (50mg) and ditched Agnyss. I like B6 anyway, because it makes peeing so much more interesting, particularly if you do it in a toilet which contains blue Toilet Duck or something similar.

Still nuffink to report here. 3 days til test day if I get that far.

cincotart · 22/09/2010 13:48

Aah, it's the B6 that's makes your wee dayglo yellow is it?

Ocarina · 22/09/2010 13:55

Mina I'm taking B6 and agnus castus, and my LP has gone from being silly short (7/8 days and variable) to not quite so stupidly short (10 days consistently), although how much of that is the herbs and how much was my body taking ages to get its act together post pill I've no idea. Poll is an expert on these things. And B6 does indeed making peeing fun!

When it comes to counting your LP, it's the number of days between ov and full droid rather than spotting, so might not be as bad as you think. I seem to remember that for some of our spotters (Scorps and Drom?) one of their first symptoms was lack of spotting, so it may be that spotting isn't something to worry about, it's just likely to be an annoying sign of not being diffed.

I think I've forgiven you for the name change, given that I am now minisculely more cultured than I was before having googled you!

Glad you're surviving work LadyGG. Where are you stalking rocket's chart?

Apologies for thinking you were a namechanger nickstermum, are you coming to join us? There's a BESHtionnaire somewhere....

MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 13:58

thanks for all the advice y'alls. Cass I would lu-huh-huh-hove your majickal leftover majickal beans, thanks most awfully! I will send you m'addresse. Aries' sage advice on use of agnus castus duly noted.

I am about to get a 6 week gym membership. 'tis only fifty squids. I am so fucking bloated and unfit at the moment I'm beginning to get ot the stage of not wanting to leave the house Sad.

Ariesgirl · 22/09/2010 14:11

Is an actual gym necessary though Mina? Does it need to be somewhere you can go after work in the dark? Because cycling and striding round Hackney Marshes blackberrying and general foraging would be much more fun. And I also read Something Interesting the other day about walking and fun cycling being far more use for burning fat than vigorous exercise because if you pound a treadmill or spin yourself into a frenzy, then you need to replace the burnt calories quickly or you might have a hypoglycaemic moment. Or something.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/09/2010 14:15

OccyOccyOccy That would be telling...

Just had a meeting with my Boss. Despite being a man he wanted to know all details (not in an intrusive way), made all right noises and gave me a hug. This is the man who once chastised someone by saying "No, you are wrong because my brain is the size of the universe and your brain is the size of a pea"! Unbelievable.

Mina I second the charting calls for establishing LP. I loves it, I do.

Cinco I do not expect you to remember all details of my social/work diary so dinnae worry. I don't even know who half of you buggers are (stop bloody name changing, hint, hint)

Ocarina · 22/09/2010 14:33

I found it! We've obviously not got the doors locked well enough, there's way too many people posting on other threads ;)

Glad your boss proved he is a human being sometimes....

And now I'm going to actually do some work and ignore the men climbing about on our roof. Really, I am.

Truffkin · 22/09/2010 14:38

GaGa am so pleased your boss has turned into Mr Understanding, I did laugh at the anecdote though. TGB's boss once made a joke about 'London Bridge is burning down?' in a sing-song voice when he was late for work due to probs at London Bridge, TGB said (to humour his boss), 'Oh, that was funny' and boss said 'I know, that's why I'm the boss'. No hint of irony, but has given us many a chuckle since then. He's a bit of a David Brent type.

In WOOFL news, I have been weeing a lot today. That is all.

MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 14:47

Thanks all for advice - LadyGG I might try the charting biz, if I can find a thermometer that will do the job...

Aries I totally know what you mean and no it needn't be a gym. Thing is however that I do a fair bit of striding about and cycling - I need a bit of a pep, a boost, a fillip, as it were. I used to have a gym membership and bloody loved it, but we couldn't afford to keep it up, and I started gaining weight soon after. This one is only for 6 weeks and I think might just give me a jump start as it were.

MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 15:01

as it were as it were

PerfectDromedary · 22/09/2010 15:03

MINAMINAMINA What happened to the zen, lady?

I fink Scropy was told that spotting was just a sign of efficient wombleness and that short LP is a veh different thing, but am not sure if I am making that up.

If you want, I canz bring agnus castus and assorted other goodies to our next meet up? Although you will need to remind me, as I offered the 'erbs to Legless and then totally forgot them.

Love this season's nautical vibe, plasticclunge.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 22/09/2010 15:15

Mina Does the gym do Les Mills classes? Nothing changes my body shape and posture faster than Body Pump. Combat good for the_rage. Balance good for laughung at people. Step - not so great - am so uncoordinated everyone else went clockwise, me anti. If I were in the UK I'd do military fitness - it's more of a body-resistance thing. Also see Turbulence Training [tm]. Fartlek is your friend if you are not waif like...

LadyGoneGaga · 22/09/2010 15:24

I do Fartlek sometimes and intervals when am training for events. Always makes me chuckle though (brain of 6 year old). Where are you horseonskies?

Those who do do winter sports, I know this was divisive when last came up. Do you not bother booking skiing in case you get diffed? I wasn't going to need to think about this as was diffed but now am not diffed it has crept in as a worry. Maybe I'll just do a last minute one if happen not to be diffed in Jan. Don't want to ski diffed really (although did with MiniG in very cautious fashion as had already been booked and was idiot)

MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 15:26

Droms! Nah, still quite zennish, just started counting in me diary. Am not personally convinced 'tis short LP because the droid starts good 'n' late - and someone telling me that they heard someone was told that early spotting is an efficient womb is good enough for me Grin.

I am quite tempted by offers of herbal majicks but I am so shit at even remembering I'm TTC (and for ref. see near-permanent pissedness Grin) that I haven't even been taking folic acid, GREATLY to MrsFC's disgust...

Ski all of that sounds good yet terrifying. You are talking to someone with the fitness of a pot of cottage cheese at the moment, so I fear I shall start with 'walking uphill' and a few mild 'crunches'

MinaHarker · 22/09/2010 15:44

Ooo ooo ooo! Reason to be glad of not being diffed #32: New gym has free saunas and biz. Hoopla!
