Hi I'm new to the conception boards. Is anyone else planning to start ttc in November or december and wants to join me on a new thread?
DS has an appointment at GOSH on 25 November, we are waiting to get that out of the way before ttc number 2!

5 days to period due, so I tested today with an early test but no joy. Think I might just wait till Sunday before I test again.
I don't feel pregnant so I doubt I am.

No problem I'll just have to TTC Nov as originally planned.

asouthwoldmummy · 03/11/2010 08:38

Sorry tokyo, there's always next month.

We agreed on two boys names we like yesterday, DH actually started the conversation! I don't have any ideas for girls though!

I'm looking for a job at the moment, as my contract finished at my beloved last place of work, so I have all the time in the world to get distracted as I sit at my computer writing job applications...trying to assess if I feel pregnant! Write a paragraph, think of a baby name, write a sentence, count my cycle (again.) I'm sure this irritating self-analysis will wear off, but it's all too exciting (and distracting!) at the moment, isn't it! Of course, the reality is that I really should have found a job before we start trying, but, to be honest, we've spent so many years finding reasons not to - just wanted to wait until the economy was at its worst and the job market non-existent!!!

Hi to BlueFergie and good luck with your test on Sunday Tokyo

asouthwoldmummy · 05/11/2010 10:08

Buttercup - you may already know but if you start a new job when already pregnant you aren't entitled to as much maternity pay. I think it works out that you have to be in the job around 6 weeks before getting pregnant to avoid this. You're normally entitled to 90% of your full pay for the first 6 weeks, but only statutory £118 (it was when I got it) if you haven't worked there long enough. Not trying to worry you but it could be a lot of money you miss out on depending how good a wage you are on!

With DS I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant on the fourth day of my new job!

Similar for me Tokyo, due mon/tues and had the internet cheapies out already Blush BFN so far and trying to wait till Sunday...

Be back to plan A starting in Nov for us too!

We have a girl's name thanks to a conversation after a few glasses of wine the other week. Would struggle for a boy I thnk, took ages to pick DS's. We had a girl's name for if he was a girl, but I'd geel funny using it as a friend from my AN classes stays in the same village, had her baby the same week and by coincidence her DD has that name!

jaggythistle · 05/11/2010 13:24

feel funny even not geel! Blush

MummyBerryJuice · 05/11/2010 15:45

Can I join in. We will start TTC DC2 in Dec/Jan while we are on holiday. DS will be one on 16/12 but We are still BF and I have not yet gotten my periods back! So am starting a basal temp chart to see if I might be ovulating n

kateAmyJ · 05/11/2010 15:56

Hi all. I am new to the boards and just wanted to say good luck to everyone.

We start TTC in 10 days....have to wait until then as it will be 4 weeks since my hubbys vasectomy reversal.

The next 10 days are going to drag, this will be the longest 4 weeks of my life.

asouthwoldmummy · 05/11/2010 17:51

Hi to MBJ and kate, good luck to both of you!

Kate - 10 days isn't too long, I only have 20 left now. Feels like I've been waiting forever though! How long does everyone else have left to wait?

Hi monkeybubbles. It's really hard when someone you know has a baby when you're broody, my sister has a 4 week old DD. I'm very pleased for her yet very jealous!

bishboschone · 07/11/2010 10:01

Hi all, I am ttc no 2 now. Had my coil out last week. I have Dd (7) , I know it's a big gap but me and dh got pregnant by surprise and I wasn't very good at pregnancy or birth . I am 36 next week so decided it's now or never. I have never tried to get pregnant before And I must admit the days seem to go sooo slowly . Am trying very hard not to get obsessed! Good luck everyone .

asouthwoldmummy · 07/11/2010 10:35

Sorry Tokyo.

Hi bishboschone, good luck!

Jaggythistle - have you done your test yet, good luck if not.

I wonder who will be the first of us to get pregnant?

OP posts:
ChateauMargot · 07/11/2010 11:43

Sorry, Tokyo. And welcome, bishboschone!

Anyone else TTC with irregular cycles?

bishboschone · 07/11/2010 11:52

Thanks ladies ,fingers crossed .

MummyBerryJuice · 07/11/2010 12:04

Chateau I have always had irregular cycles before going on the pill and conceived DS after just one cycle last year. Now don't have a clue what's happening as haven't had a period since last year March as bfing. So I've decided to do basal temp measurements to see whether I'm ovulating at all.

asouthwoldmummy · 07/11/2010 12:05

Chateau - my periods were all over the place while we were ttc DS. I've been on the pill since he was born and still am currently. I've lost 3.5 stone since then and hope that'll make my cycles more regular than they used to be!

I'd recommend charting or at least using ovulation tests. We didn't bother for ages and I wonder if that could be one of the reasons we took so long (2 yrs) to conceive last time. My cycles ranged from 33-40 days so I never had a clue when I might have been ovulating!

Hi all

Started to feel my PMS, doesnt it means i havnt had any luck this time.. :(((
Due date is on 15th, i will still test, just in case..hoping..

really upset...i will keep trying..

asouthwoldmummy · 07/11/2010 20:48

Prettywoman - early signs of pregnancy (if you get any) can sometimes mimic PMS. Something to do with the huge hormonal changes taking place. I wouldn't be too upset yet. When did you start ttc? You'd be very lucky to conceive straight away.

OP posts:
prettywoman · 07/11/2010 21:36

Thnx asouthwoldmummy,

I have started TTC 3 months ago, this is fourth..anyway ill keep trying..
