Hi I'm new to the conception boards. Is anyone else planning to start ttc in November or december and wants to join me on a new thread?
DS has an appointment at GOSH on 25 November, we are waiting to get that out of the way before ttc number 2!

ArabellaRose · 26/10/2010 14:08

I have to wait until December before TTC because of work-related issues. Come December I may be still on this thread just chatting to myself!! Wish I was trying already, sigh

Can anyone add my stats please as am computer-illiterate?

Ghosteditor - congratulations on your job - things have a tendency to work out for the best in the long run!

Tokyotwist · 26/10/2010 18:17

Been feeling rather emotional lately, very strange as I'm never emotional. Must be all the babies being born around me.
I've 4 pregnant friends and both sisters have recently had babies.
Oh well, c'est la vie.

How is everyone? Come on and cheer me up Grin.

Hi buttonmoon, arabella and buggerlugs!

Started taking vitamins and folic acid yesterday. I'm on CD1 today and have one more pack of pills to take, so not long now. Getting very excited!

Good luck this weekend hills!

100years · 31/10/2010 09:32

It all starts soon for me properly. AF made her appearance properly known yesterday by ripping out my insides with a blunt knife and causing me to spend the most of my shift at work doubled up at my desk and jigging about to try and ease the pain!!! 14 hours of heat therapy altogether yesterday(ie heatpack then hot water bottle)

ChateauMargot · 31/10/2010 11:35

AF turned up last week, at last - something of a relief, bizarrely, as otherwise it would have been two months without a period and a negative pregnancy test. At least now I can start counting the days!

So, starting in earnest in November. October didn't count Wink

elliellie · 31/10/2010 13:04

Hi, I'm starting TTC in Dec and would love you join you & share experiences. It will be my first & am also very excited & feeling quite impatient!

prettywoman · 31/10/2010 17:39

Hi All,

im also TTC, my OD was fri/sat.
cant wait to try a PT .

asouthwoldmummy · 31/10/2010 18:07

Hi ellie and prettywoman.

Not long for most of us now, looking at the stats. I wish I could start ttc at the beginning of the month not the end. I've spent so long looking forward to November, now it's nearly here and I still have nearly a month left to wait!

I'm just trying to be productive though, taking vitamins and folic acid and trying to eat sensibly and drink less, so my body's fairly healthy when we start.

OP posts:
asouthwoldmummy · 31/10/2010 18:12

I also got some cheap ovulation tests from eBay. I thought I'd probably try the method in the link from purplebuns (it's on page 8, for any newcomers!)

I'm trying to do everything I can, I really don't want it to take 2 years this time!

OP posts:
ButtercupBoot · 01/11/2010 17:22

Hi all

I'm new to all of this - conception, chat forums, mumsnet and, it appears, abbreviations! I am, however, trying to conceive for the first time (ttc?!) and would love to join, should you be up for taking on a novice!

asouthwoldmummy · 01/11/2010 17:42

Hi buttercup. Have a look at the acronyms. There are also a few others related to ttc which aren't on the list, but you'll soon get used to what everything means! If in doubt just ask, good luck!

OP posts:
ChateauMargot · 01/11/2010 18:16

Hi buttercup, ellie and prettywoman! I'm also quite new around here, having lurked for a while. Fingers crossed we won't be hanging about the TTC threads for too long..!

ButtercupBoot · 01/11/2010 18:37

Thanks asouthwoldmummy, I shall do some swatting on acronyms!

I'm on pregnancy vitamins, healthy eating and trying not to drink (without my friends noticing!) Had a wee head start over past 2 weeks with some practising!

Finding myself already being a bit excited, and trying not to stare at other people's babies....

I've added me on the bottom:

Hi

Should i continue to try even after my possitve ovulation days, will this help.
how early can i test if im PG.

OOH cant wait really..

asouthwoldmummy · 02/11/2010 07:45

Prettywoman - the link I mentioned above says to do a pregnancy test 15 days after your positive ovulation test if your period hasn't started. Doesn't hurt to keep trying though, think of it as practice!

BlueFergie · 02/11/2010 14:46

Hi everyone. Came off pill friday before last. AF has been and gone. Got all clear on smear test. So since Sunday night we have officially been TTC. Our method is very haphazard just keep shagging until it seems my period is late and then do a pregnancy test. Worked OK for the last two so heres hoping its 3rd time lucky!!
If I am not pregnant by Christmas I'll start the temp/dates and stick stuff.

Good luck everyone else. So excited.......am already driving DH amd about names!!

asouthwoldmummy · 02/11/2010 15:39

Bluefergie - I keep thinking about names as well but I know I shouldn't, i can't help it! Is anyone else having this problem?

OP posts:
ChateauMargot · 02/11/2010 16:06

Yes, me too! Drives DH crazy...

BlueFergie · 02/11/2010 20:39

Oh I know. If I get pregnant with a boy we are in real trouble. We have only ever agreed on one boys name and thats the one our DS has. Got a few girls names so we would be alright there.
