Hi all,
I just went to post on the old thread and noticed it had been locked, so here is a new one!
Come on in!

Rowing--Hm, a cult. I did watch the BBC program about Scientologists the other night...

Italian--Unfortunately I've been an insomniac for the last nine years. I can't take a bath before bed as DH is disabled and we only have a roll-in shower. I'm welcome at my in-laws, but that post-bath glow is ruined on the car ride home. Love the warm milk before bed, and DO put lavender oil on my pillow. My next attempt is going to be hops...someone at the chemist suggested that to me. Put hops mixed with lavender in a sachet and put it in your pillowcase. It's one I haven't tried before.

Going to the States for my nephew's first birthday! As it happens, it's one of my closest friend's son's first birthday as well. Parties are on the same day, but thankfully at different times. And we'll be seeing friends and family, maybe going to Atlantic City and NYC. My parents were supposed to go to China next week, but as it turns out, my stepmom had a bowel obstruction and had to have surgery on Wed. And my mother is coming in from New Orleans for the birthday party.

So I had some spotting and cramping yesterday, but it was light pink and then browny. I'm PRAYING that it was implantation bleeding, and not AF making an early appearance...

Lissy thinking of you. Hope your mum is fine and all OK. What is the China connection (I lurve China and long to go back one day - I visited there when I was younger and lived in Singapore for two years).

Do you know why you are an insomniac. I think mine is self-induced, I can't get off the computer and go to bed!

BB yes, there was nothing at the ferttility fair that you could not find out on internet but I personally got a bit of a buzz being one of the majority for once!

Love to all

LissySilver · 02/10/2010 11:39

Italian--My parents have been talking about going to China for ages, and last year they finally booked a trip. Oh well...they waited this long!

Insomnia dates back to a major depression I had in my mid-twenties. At this point I think I've psyched myself out of ever falling asleep without medication.

HPT this morning with a BFN. Not due to test until Tuesday, but tested early last round with BFP around this time. If it was implantation bleeding on Wed, maybe I tested too soon?

rowingboat · 02/10/2010 18:00

Hi all,

Lissy step away from the HPT and place both your hands on your head (frisks Lissy for concealed tests)! Grin
I know it is possible to have a positive early, but lots of people don't, so it isn't really very conclusive.

Italian my DS isn't vaguely interested in babies and, in fact, doesn't like them very much because they 'drool on my toys' and suck his lego. He can be quite sweet with babies though and sometimes plays with tiny babies.
I'm not telling him anything until it is a done deal, he is bound to tell random people, like his teacher and I don't really want to go there until I am ready.

My lovely doctor has sorted out my blood tests for the STDs so that I don't have to pay for them and I will be getting a pap smear at the same time. She is also the person who has organised my appointment at the endocrine and infertility unit for a 'chat' about the failed IVFs (hopefully for level one immune tests - fingers crossed).
Haven't organised any flights, not nothing, not at all, no! Nuffink!
Could somebody else go and do it for me? [hopeful face]
Probably will put off until the next cycle, so that the tests will all be back. No point rushing into this and blowing more money that I don't have.

Rowing--You crack me up. I promise to abstain, and have been spending the afternoon with my favorite serial killer, Dexter.Grin

rowingboat · 02/10/2010 22:28

Oh I love him! I have just had a three months for the price of one from Love film so I hope to catch up with him myself.
I think the last one I saw was with Doakes being blown up and set-up as the Bay killer (or whatever he was called). That is probably from 1998 or something. Grin

OP posts:
LissySilver · 02/10/2010 22:46

I'm at the end of series 2, so Doakes is still at the cabin locked up in a cage.

For those of you who haven't seen it, Dexter is a really great series about a forensics blood spatter expert who is a vigilante serial killer....but he only kills the bad guys.

This has been taking my mind off of the 2WW....sort of.

Keziahhopes · 02/10/2010 23:45

Lissy - great idea with a box set for your 2ww ... hope you follow Rowing's advice for HPT's (she made me smile too!)

For me - getting over tonsillitis, and waiting for protocol in post, then drugs to get and injection training!

rowingboat · 03/10/2010 16:55

Hi all,

Lissy, sorry, I hope I haven't ruined the ending. [sheepish face]

Keziah what is injection training? I am imagining you doing little finger weights to get your plunger finger ready.

Italian, how is the eating regime?
I'm having a bit of a piggy time at the moment, although am doing a bit of cycling, but not enough to burn off the cakes.

OP posts:
Keziahhopes · 03/10/2010 18:58

rowing - Smile
I need to learn how to do an injection and where, but think may get dh to do it so he feels involved!

BB and Keziah Hi and all the best for the future, my DH did the shots too, except when I was away from him!

Rowing thinking of you.

Lissy enjoy the states.

Choco what?s new.

I am testing again tomorrow, unless AF turns up. I am pretty sure nothing will have happened! I spoke to a lady at church tonight who had adopted two children and it was so positive it gave me hope for the future but only if we really feel it is God's will for us and something we can both cope with (I know that will sound odd but what I mean is if it is not right for us then we have to move on).

All the best to all.

Biscuit Biscuit

LissySilver · 04/10/2010 09:46

AF arrived today Sad

Will continue trying with private clinics, but thinking of going to ARGC.

Off to America tomorrow...

Sorry to hear of AF Lissy. Hope you enjoy America!

Thanks Italian - understand totally about what you say about adoption.

Our protocol came today, so just waiting for drugs to be delivered now. Feeling more real here.

rowingboat · 04/10/2010 17:24

Hi all,
Lissy so sorry to hear about AF! What a blow and a horrible anti-climax.
It is true that many people take two goes and some three (but that's not you!)
Huuuge Hug!!!
Take care of yourself, lots of pampering and 'me' time. Good to hear you are going to be busy and doing lovely things.

Keziah, it's nice to keep your DH involved, even if it is by stabbing you with a needle. Smile I did my own and am rather proud of myself (not sure why exactly), but I do struggle to find things to be proud of so I'm allowed. Grin

Italian it's too early to think about adoption, just keep that tucked away at the back of your mind and focus on this cycle.
Hope you enjoyed your splurge the other day. I share your splurging and had three slices of apple tart over the weekend. Yum!

Off for my bloods/smear tomorrow. What a riveting life I lead.

Horton · 04/10/2010 20:39

Lissy, so sorry to hear your news. Hope you have a good time in America and come back refreshed and ready to carry on in whichever way most suits you. Lots of love to you.

Italiangreyhound · 04/10/2010 22:50

Lissy so very sorry, what a real horrible start to the holiday but I completely second the fact that a second time may do it. Do we are remember Penguindreams? And there are others, was LondonLottie a second timer? And a friend of mine got pregnant with one fresh cycle and one FET cycle after a failed fresh cycle! Anyway, enjoy the USA, enjoy your time, eat Reases Peanut butter cups (Yum) and just chillax! We are all routing for you honey. S sorry because I did really think this one was going to work. Hugs.

Cerubina it's very quiet without you, how are you doing?

BB Have you decided when you are going to try again, have you got a FET cycle?

Keziah Super, glad it is all going well.

Rowing Thanks, I am just getting myself mentally psyched up for it not working, I have decided not to go down the positive route this time! Thinking of you.

Choco How are you?

Horton All the best, thinking of you.

Rested again tonight and still not pregnant, so AF is just missing in action! No worries. Back on straight and narrow, a pear for dessert tonight! (I mean a piece of fruit not two of something!)

All the best to all.

Biscuit Biscuit

Italiangreyhound · 04/10/2010 22:52

That should be re-tested not rested!

MM how are you we are still thinking of you.
Smile

rowingboat · 05/10/2010 18:09

Hi all,

Italian, OK, I'll join in with the negative vibe. 'What's the point!' 'Why me!' etc, etc.... Grin

Doh I went to get the smear and bloods and the appointment was for NEXT Tuesday. [Smacks self on forehead]
Oh well, shuffles off....

Lissy are you there yet? Are you there yet?

What's everyone up to?

Lottie Grin that sounds like lots of fun. Did you say goodbye to all your lovely food before you left it in the trolley? Sad!

I find that when you start thinking about your PIN it completely disappears from your head.

OP posts:
Italiangreyhound · 05/10/2010 23:40

Rowing I can do better, I was a whole YEAR early for my smear test once!

rowingboat · 06/10/2010 18:08

Wot! That's so keen! Did you wait? Grin
