Hi all,
I just went to post on the old thread and noticed it had been locked, so here is a new one!
Come on in!

OP posts:
rowingboat · 23/02/2011 13:11

Hi all,
welcome new people!
I'm just popping in to say 'wah!' because I have had to postpone again.
Was supposed to be doing a natural cycle FET, but I think I must have missed ovulation so we weren't which day to do the transfer. Obviously, there was no point doing the transfer because the timing has to be spot on, but would have been having the FET today.
Feeling OK, but a bit deflated and confused about what to do next.
Back soon
Hugs to all. Mwah, mwah (nearly typed 'wham' - bit different! Shock)

delilahbelle welcome and hi, hope it all goes well.

Rowing so sorry, keep us posted. This really is a very long and difficult journey, isn't it! Sad

Choco, Keziah, Lissy, Shirley, Val, Late, Naz< womanly, shirley, Horton and all - hugs and baby dust.

Had my progesteron blood test yesterday, just enjoying the end of my first period in 6 months.

All the best, Brew and chocolate boobs to all Biscuit Biscuit

lateatwork · 24/02/2011 07:05

bummer rowing. argh.

all going ok here. feel sick. tired. grumpy. but guessing its all good!!

delilahbelle · 24/02/2011 09:50

Thanks for the welcome, hope everyone is having a good day. I am considering getting out in the garden and doing a bit of work... but the sofa seems to be a lot more comfy.

Has anyone else found that during stimms they were very thirsty? I am tipping pints of water down my neck, but still seem to want more. Trying to keep up the PMA about follicle growth, we only need one good egg after all.

rowing anychance of doing a FET next cycle? Or do your dates not work out?

shirleycat1 · 24/02/2011 13:35

Chocolate - how was it? Was it over in 15 seconds?

Rowing - Boo. Poor you. How frustrating. To be honest I don't fully understand what you said, but I know it's not positive. I hate the way everything has to be timed to the dot but if you miss something you have to wait ages.

Delilahbelle - good luck. Sofa's nice but the sun's shining here, it would be lovely to get out. I think being thirsty is normal, make sure you keep drinking lots and relax. Like you say, you only need one good egg.

Italian - I bet you're glad that's out of the way. I wish mine would come. Had acupuncture last night but it doesn't seem to have triggered anything.

Late - hope you're feeling OK. It is all most definitely good though.

Hello to everyone else. It so feels like spring has sprung today which makes me happy...

LissySilver · 24/02/2011 14:07

Hi girls. Still lurking and rooting everyone on. Have the flu at the moment, which totally sucks on this gorgeous spring-like day.

There's a possibility that we MIGHT be able to get some funding from a local Jewish charity towards our treatment in April, so here's hoping...

rowing-I'm so sorry to hear you've had to postpone again. I'm sure you're sooooo frustrated, but don't give up hope, everything will work out in the end, I just know it!

late-Glad to hear you're cruising along. Keep us posted!

Delilah-I was pretty thirsty too, but they tell you to drink buckets and buckets of water anyway...

Italian-Mazel tov on the period and testing. It's about time, right?

Hugs, biscuits, and babydust to everyone else. Sorry not to namecheck further...

rowingboat · 24/02/2011 14:28

Sob! Thank you everyone, you are so lovely. You all understand about the timing and all that palava, it's so helpful to be able to come on here and you 'get' what I'm rambling on about.
Back soon, but thank you for all the well wishes, really means a lot. It can all be a bit isolating I find.

Hello

I have been redirected here on the advice of some BESH-ies, who assure me you are all super knowledgeable about stuff like this.

Was wondering if anyone has a clue WTF is going on with my first clomid cycle. 100m tablets, 3 10mm follies day 9, an 18mm and a 14m on day 13, a 19m and a squooshed one on day 17, and now two days bleeding day 20/21 (red stuff not nice brown implantation spotting).

Normal cycle 26 days, Progesterone test results due monday.

Do I presume it was my super early period and start my clomid, or keep POAS incase it wasn't?

vallinnapod · 25/02/2011 14:50

Hi Ladies!

just thought I would pop in and say hello. I hope it's not insensitive to update you but I had my 12 week scan this week and all is absolutely perfect. Everything where it should be, doing what it should plus very low (high?! Which ever is a good thing) ratios for anything chromosomal so nothing more invasive needed there. They did however move my EDD to 4th Sept (from 9th) - how they can possibly do with an IVF PG is beyond me as there is no shadow of a doubt what went on and when Grin

Big hugs to all I know, 'hellos' to all I don't and huge luck to all xxx

delilahbelle · 25/02/2011 16:59

moomaker - no advice to give you, but I didn't want your post to go unanswered. If I were you I would wait and see what happens, but do you have a doctor you can talk to to be sure?

Lissy - hope your flu gets better soon, being ill sucks. Still, the weather will soon be back to grey/normal, so it wont be as hard to snuggle up inside.

vallinnapod - it is always nice to hear success stories, congratulations on your scan results.

at everyone else...

AFM - I am now in for EC on Tuesday, with the hope they might get two eggs :( I have under responded to the meds, but all you need is one good egg. Apparently my lining looks perfect, so there is that...

rowingboat · 25/02/2011 19:22

Hi all,

Moo I would do the test before starting another cycle, just in case. Check with your clinic though.

Vallin wow, that is such lovely news. You always make me laugh with the high/low whatever is good for hormone levels. Just let them (the doctors) worry about that stuff, it leads to a less stressful pregnancy. Grin
Lovely to hear from you. How are you feeling? Do you have a bump?

Delilah I hope it all goes well on Tuesday. It is definitely quality not quantity, lots of women on IVF threads do well with a one or two eggs.

Italiangreyhound · 26/02/2011 00:48

Hi all

delilahbelle just takes one good egg, here's hoping for it all to work out, keep us posted.

Rowing thinking of you.

Sorry Moonraker no idea but does your surgery or clinic (whoever prescribed the Clomed) or the local pharmacy have any idea. I'd ask the experts.

Val it is great to be updated. Whoopee. We are delighted.

LissySilver sorry about the flu and good luck with the funding. Not sure I will every test again unless I really think likely, too many tests done for nothing! Just wondering if af will show up again, ever!

I had a massive migraine yesterday and felt ill, so won?t stay up for too long tonight!

Waves and baby dust to all. Wink

Keziahhopes · 26/02/2011 15:16

Val - great to hear all is well!

Lissy sorry about the flu and great you heard of a possibility of funding.

rowing - grrr... that sounds so frustrating.

We have our first downregging scan at the end of next week, so another week almost of downregging injections which are going better now I can use legs as well as stomach.

rowingboat · 26/02/2011 23:09

Hi all,

Whoop whoop Keziah! It's great to have a bit of 'action' on here. I love it when all the treatments start, it's exciting! How are you feeling about it, all ready?

Italian, hugs sweetie, I hope your head is feeling better. How horrible for you, sounds ghastly! Sad

Delilah, how are you feeling?

Moon did you manage to get any feedback?

Lissy are you on the mend yet? It's the last gasp of Winter that flu, you'll soon be leaping around again and tucking your boots away for their Summer hibernation.

Shirley what did you get done at the acupuncture?

LAW have you tried drinking ginger cordial with a gaviscon chaser? Or a Rennies sandwich? Hope you aren't feeling too sicky.

Not much to add here. Feeling quite down this evening because I think AF is starting?!?!?!?!?! What!?!?!!?
Now I'm laughing, like a crazy person!>!>!
Hlep! And I can't spell?!?!?!?
Thud![falls off chair]
Oh and DP has disappeared and I suspect will not return until 3am, on all fours! Grrr!
I have written a confused email to the clinic.
If this is AF I don't think I would want to start another cycle immediately (or should I) because this would be a 23 day cycle?!? Perhaps wait until next cycle or until I am 60 (at this rate!).
Stumps off!

Italiangreyhound · 28/02/2011 00:18

Rowing hi sorry it sounds like it is not going well at moment, hope DH doesn't turn out to be singing at 3.00 a.m.! Thinking of you... all.

Italiangreyhound · 28/02/2011 00:19

Think I might have an ear infection, not sure, keep feeling vaguely dizzy, vaguely sick and having a headache. Going to see doc this week.

Italiangreyhound · 28/02/2011 01:46

I have really enjoyed the Rosemary Conley classes and have got a real love for exercise now, which is fab, and which I was really keen to get out of the classes but I am afraid my eating problems are not great. I lost weight and now I am putting it all back on! My sis thinks I have problems with food, and I agree. Hmm It is weird because I am very happy now and very fortunate to have a great hubby and lovely daughter, and a job I like, my faith is important to me my family are close by and I am fit (ish) and well. But as a kid I was very shy and I've had anxiety in the past, and a touch of OCD! So maybe, just maybe I am eating for comfort, for acceptance, I am not sure for what! Anyway, I am going to try and get a book from the library, anyone heard of it these books, Eating the Moment: 141 Mindful Practices to Overcome Overeating One Meal at a Time by Pavel Georgievich Somov? Or Overcoming Overeating: It's Not What You Eat, It's What's Eating You! by Lisa Morrone? Or Overcoming Overeating: How to Break the Diet/Binge Cycle and Live a Healthier, More Satisfying Life by Jane R. Hirschmann and Carol H. Munter? Or, finally, The Food and Feelings Workbook: A Full Course Meal on Emotional Health by Karen R. Koenig? Has anyone heard of any of the authors? Which one is better?

Nothing fertility wise to mention so will stop warbling!

Love to all.

Baby dust to all.

Italiangreyhound · 28/02/2011 01:56

If you want to reply about the food thing and not clog up this thread I did start a new one in the big/slim/weight lose section of Mumsnet.

Hi All!

I have been lurking and reading posts but had nothing to report until today...

Went to see consultant today and have been given the all clear from thyroid end to start IVF - whoop whoop! I imediately phoned fertility clinic and so just waiting to hear back from them now. I hope I can start this month.

Italian sounds like a nasty bug. You can never be to careful with ear infections so definitely worth getting it checked out.

Vanilla So pleased for you that its all going well. 12 wk scan must be so exciting!

Delilah Welcome!

Rowing All sounds so ridiculously and horribly frustrating!

Love to All xxx

rowingboat · 01/03/2011 12:32

Hi all,

Italian that sounds very interesting: the reading I mean! Let us know what those books are like. I know I have some bad habits with food. I mean I am quite a healthy eater, but I do munch for the sake of it in the evenings. I would love to find a way to break out of that rut. Hope your ears are ok now.

Nook that is great news about the thyroid. Do you feel different? Have you phoned yet???!

My news is that AF has definitely arrived and I have contacted the clinic. They are proposing that I follow their protocol with the progynova (oestrogen). If you start a high dose of oestrogen when AF arrives, it stops you ovulating so the clinic has more control over the FET, rather than fitting round my natural cycle.
The last time I took the progynova I started AF on day 12, so it was all cancelled.
This time the clinic is suggesting an extra hormone. I must check their email to see what it is.
I was also asked to wait a cycle, so nothing now until April. Oh well Spring is a good time for AC.

delilahbelle · 01/03/2011 15:03

Back from EC and they got 3 eggs :)

So one hurdle down, now I just have to pray that they are mature, fertilise normally, develop normally, and implant successfully. I will be getting a phone call from the clinic Thursday morning, and will be keeping everything crossed until then...

rowingboat · 01/03/2011 18:41

Hi all,

Delilah that's great news! Come on eggs!

OP posts:
NookNook · 01/03/2011 22:57

Congratulations Delilah! All things crossed for you!

Rowing did you find out what hormone it was?

My news is that I got a call from the clinic and we're all systems go! Start injecting in 18th March. Slightly nrevous about the whole thing. Feels like you pass ine hurdle and are suddenly faced with many more.

NookNook · 01/03/2011 22:59

Wow! Sorry don't know what happened there. Its late. And I can't type properly on this stupid phone! X

delilahbelle · 02/03/2011 07:32

One quick question... How much time do you take off around EC and ET? I think I will be having 4 days off, as I don't want to go back today and tomorrow then have Friday off for ET, but I feel well enough so feel like a bit of a fraud.
