Well here goes for the new thread

Welcome aboard the beanie express
Wishing everyone sucess on their TTC journey, and hope that the journey is travelled with friends.

It's a beautiful day today so I hope that that rubs off on our new thread and that we'll soon be seeing some beautiful days here too.

Milosmum Glad you've found a new family member. I bet your DS is thrilled. My DD would love a dog but DH is allergic, we had a kitten last year, well i suppose she is a cat now and it is amazing how quickly they become part of the family.

jane313 · 11/09/2005 20:14

ooh a dog. i would love one of thse again.

I read a column in the guardian on saturday about fertiltiy and it really made me laugh. The woman had obviously been skim reading internet stuff and said it had been recommended egg white as a sexuall lubricant. She must have read a about egg white CM amd got confused.

Morning Ladies,

Hope you've had good weekends. Bethandherbrood and Vaunda Hello and welcome, Beth your not intruding at all and please don't feel you are it's lovely to get new people to talk too. Fingers crossed for you both for nice short visits to us and you'll soon be graduates.

Debbsy - fingers crossed hun that things are happening for you. I hope your Mum's doing ok and your DH - ouch! but if you ride it's one of the pitfalls - I've broken bones falling off motorbikes.

MM exciting stuff a new dog sounds like DS is having a wail of a time with him.

Jane the egg white thing made me laugh too - although I do have a vague feeling that someone on here suggested using egg white to help with Bding - not one of the more pleasant suggestions for TTCing as I recall.

Jen, Jag, Handbag, Munz, Rom - Hi to you all hope you are doing well.

I am on CD21 in the 2ww and have AF cramps today so 7 days and AF will be here. Just in time for DH's birthday- lovely . DH is off in bournemouth this week - Boo went last night and I'll see him at some point on Friday evening, but the bonus is he is back home all next week and it's his birthday friday so we are going out - just don't have a baby sitter for Friday evening yet - Oops better pull my finger out and get it sorted. I am going to try and do a playstation controller cake for him - probably very ambitious but we shall have to see what I can achieve in 3 evenings.

Having a bad few days at the moment, I have just been rediagnosed with depression - boo! and have to go on AD's which I really am not happy about. Have 2 ladies coming to assess me on Thursday at home - which I'm aprehensive about, my brother has had 2 very strange episodes in the last 3 days where he is conscious but isn't coherehent and really doesn't make any sense at all so nearly had to call an ambulance for him this morning - he's down south and I'm in the midlands so not close enough to get to him - he's also diabetic and in remission from cancer so god alone knows how he gets up every morning and now could have epilepsy to add to it all!!

Anyway sorry to rant just needed to sound off a bit.

Take care and Cadmums special Baby dust for us all

Harriezb - was just about to write my usual 'hello everyone' note, when I saw your post! So sorry to hear about your brother and then being rediagnosed with depression again . Must be really difficult especially if your dh is away a lot. Seems odd to say it, but hope you're OK and will be thinking of you.

HandbagAddiction · 12/09/2005 13:59

So...nothing exciting to report from me. CD23 today - got lots of pre-AF style cramps, had a brown spot yesterday and feel very nauseous today...so reckon AF is on the way and very early at that! Will keep you all posted.

It's dd's birthday today - she will be 2 ! Can't believe how quixkly the time has flown. We had a brithday party for her yesterday - a joint one with some other friends from nursery - 18 children in total and 30 adults, lots of wine, beer, childrens party food and all manner of activity toys in the garden - including a big round trampoline. It was excellent! Really knackered now though - and all the excitement is probably the cause of my nausea!

Debbsy - sorry to hear about your dh . Maybe you should get a residents parking spot at that hospital.... .

Hello to Milosmum, Jen, Jag, Bethandherbrood, Hula - if you're still lurking, Jane, Vaunda and anyone I've missed...including our resident (and very pregnant) lurkers - Romilly and Munz !!

Harrizeb · 12/09/2005 14:02

'Lo Handbag thank you for your thoughts it's appreciated. I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself at the mo - hate DH being away it's 'orrible. But you get on with it don't you .

Hope you had a good weekend, hows DD? (proud mummy moment coming) we went swimming with DS and just wearing arm bands, he doggy paddled the width of the pool!! so proud. We're off to Portugal in 12mths time with a gang of us and have a private pool with the Villa so want him to be fairly happy with being in the pool.

Take care all

hello to everyone else! Odie (the new dog) is settling in nicely... i will soon see myself a sevelt size 10 with all the walking im doing!- well it may give the ttc a boost you never know..

JAG123 · 12/09/2005 18:21

MM you're right you never know.

Debbsy - I don't know what to say 'it never rains but it pours' keep strong.

Harrizeb - Hope both you & your DB feel better soon. Where about in the Midlands are you? I am in Solihull.

Handbag - I hope that your DD had a nice birthday

I have been a bit low too. I didn't get AF on Fri (i am usually on the dot). So of course convinced myself that i was pg had those stretchy sensations all Sat have been feeling bloated bit icky, etc. Was going to wait to do test on Thurs and then tell DH but couldn't wait so told him Sun Morn, he had his doubts. Then Sun afternoon started with more stomach cramps, still nothing till about 6 then AF although usually a bit heavier. I feel so stupid. Still feel really bloated & stretchy which i don't usually get this much. Got a bit down but am over it now. Think i am not going to use anything this month and see how it goes. Sorry for going on .

milosmum · 12/09/2005 19:18

Everyone seems to be feeling really low at the moment.... so heres a joke....

There were these two cows, chatting over the fence between their fields.

The first cow said, "I tell you, this mad-cow-disease is really pretty scary. They say it is spreading fast; I heard it hit some cows down on the Johnson Farm."

The other cow replies, "I ain't worried, it don't affect us ducks."

sorry but theres more where that came from !!!!!

milosmum · 12/09/2005 19:37

heres another!....... i will continue to torchure until you all smile ....................

A blind man with a seeing eye dog at his side walks into a grocery store. The man walks to the middle of the store, picks up the dog by the tail, and starts swinging the dog around in circles over his head.

The store manager, who has seen all this, thinks this is quite strange. So, he decides to find out what's going on. The store manager approaches the blind man swinging the dog and says, "Pardon me. May I help you with something."

The blind man says, "No thanks. I'm just looking around."

milosmum · 12/09/2005 19:39

sorry that should be torture- doh!

JAG123 · 12/09/2005 20:08

I'll try again

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 12/09/2005 20:42

munz still getting cm not gone yet

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 12/09/2005 20:42

sorry ladies for gross details of my body

Harrizeb · 12/09/2005 20:52

Oh MM you are great, loved the jokes, they are just my cup of tea, had me giggling. Thank you .

Actually maybe that should be a smiley so that you do more jokes .

DB is now lucid and has appologised several times for this morning - not that he has anything to appologise for mind you, the Doc has been great and has tried to pull out a few more stops for him - could do with some good luck. So fingers crossed we'll see what they decide is going on and can sort it out for him. One thing this does help is his claim for DLA currently he gets 1/2 his housing paid and job seekers allowance - and is currently unemployed and isn't medically fit to work (probably never will be) so makes being able to afford anything difficult. (sorry ranting again I'll get off my soap box).

Take care ladies and talk soon
