Welcome aboard the beanie express
Wishing everyone sucess on their TTC journey, and hope that the journey is travelled with friends.

It's a beautiful day today so I hope that that rubs off on our new thread and that we'll soon be seeing some beautiful days here too.

Hi - been a bit scared to post for the past couple of days. Benn having a miserable time here. DP announced that his work have asked if her would mind only taking 1 week of the 2 weeks we had planned as they have a huge audit on at the moment (he's an accountant) so we are only taking 1 week and not going away. I really need the break as work is really stressful at the moment and frankly I am shattered....

Other than this, I saw a gynae last week who also thinks I have PCOS so I have a scan booked for next week to peek at my Ovaries... BUT AF was due yesterday and shows no sign of appearing (except wild moods swings over the weekend) - Help me someone, I am so confused!!!! Too scared to do a PG test until next Monday (which is also my birthday) as am sure AF going to turn up!! Any ideas or is my body being really mean to me? AF usually v regular...

Sorry to go on after being AWOL for a week. Hope everyone is ok
J x

oh Jen, chin up honey.....

dont you have irregular periods with PCOS, or am i thinking of something else? Dont feel pressured into testing until you are really ready... otherwise you will feel doubly disappionted if itsd not the BFP you want.....

JAG123 · 06/09/2005 19:05

Jen - Sorry to hear about your holiday it sounds like you could really do with it. You will have to pretend that you have gone away and don't do anything but spoil yourself. I know what you mean about tempting fate, i always think that i would wait until i'm a week late, but it is easier said than done. If it would put your mind at rest perhaps you should test. I wish you lots of luck.

Milosmum - How did your DS get on at school?

Hope everyone else is ok.

I'm on CD23 and really bloated & moody so i think that AF could be round the corner (due fri). Also keep getting slight stitch on my left side I've probably just overeaten had one of those M&S melt in the middle choc puds with cream it was lovely.

milosmum · 06/09/2005 19:13

hey, Jag!- Ds was fine thanks for asking... hes only one classroom down from the nursery so he knows the routine... seems to like his new teacher.. but time will tell.

M&S Choccie puds could be the cause but theres always hope!

Harrizeb · 06/09/2005 19:54

Ah Jen, please don't worry about not posting for a while and then coming back, you can post any time you want or need to we'll be here - well I will anyway - just too addicted.

I'm sorry about the holiday that's horrible timing for you, agree with Jag that you should treat it as though you are on holiday - after all you are - just not gone away, book yourself in for a manicure or pedicure and massage.

Go to a matinee or show, do a few really decedant things to spoil yourself.

As for testing, it's really hard isn't it. I find myself almost wanting to test just for the sake of it even though I know what the result will be. Be good to yourself and do what ever make it easier for you.

I hope that the scan is good news and that it's not PCOS for you, please let us know we'll be rooting for you. I found that I had a couple of months of PMT and my mood swings were just awful poor DH and DS were really not sure who they were living with for a while there. But I have my fingers crossed that it's really the being of your BFP.

Take care and lots of {{{hugs}}}

just come off the phone to the complaints directorate at the hospital ive now made an formal complaint against mums consultant.

Harrizeb · 07/09/2005 10:54

Oh my goodness - will they change her consultant to someone else for you?

Hulababy · 07/09/2005 10:57

Debbsey - sorry to hear about your mum; hope you get somewhere with your complaints.

I have just had the first blood test for the initial infertility tests - the hormone one - this morning. Was impressed as I only have a 5 minute wait for my bloods at the hospitsal. I had imagined I'd be there for the long haul. next one is on CD21.

milosmum · 07/09/2005 13:09

debs- really sorry to hear about you mum, hope she gets better honey.... you re really going through it at the moment arent you? if you need to talk im here for you.

hope everyone else is doing ok....

romilly · 07/09/2005 16:25

debbsy - sorry to hear about your mum. the temp dip could be a sign but that you are close to ovulation but you can identify the temp shift by a series of at least 3 consecutive readings that are at least 0.1 degree C higher than the previous 6 readings (ie. 3 high readings after O will confirm it). You should also include one which is at least 0.2 degree C higher.

are you using fertilityfriend.com? they will work out all the details for you, like the coverline, how many dpo you are etc...

Hulababy · 07/09/2005 18:54

Feeling very at moment - AF hormones maybe. Guess reality of starting blood tests just highlighting the fact that I feel like I am failing. Think I may need a break from here for a while. Not sure it's helping me today. I feel that pretty much everyone (not all I know) who was on that first thread i posted on have all gone off and had their BFPs, and I am still here...and I just...oh I don't know.

Anyway, I'll still pop in and see how everyone is going - just not posting on thread for a bit maybe. We'll see how I fee when AF hormones have gone maybe.

Good luck everyone.

JAG123 · 07/09/2005 19:05

Hulababy i'm sorry that you are feeling so low. I know i have only been on MN few a few months but i do know how it feels when your body seems to be constantly letting you down. I really hope that you get your BFP soon. A friend of mine started blood tests after TTC for a year before her next app she was pg.
Take Care
J

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 07/09/2005 19:39

hi everyone thanks for kind thoughts ive now got an appointment with mums consultant and the complaints directorate sometime tomorrow dont know what time yet so see whrre we go from there.Rom yes i am using fertility freind but only just started it ive now got ov pain but im only on cd 12 so we bd fri and sun so thst would have covered me wouldnt it? Hula felt just like you last month and its awful i feel like that and wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy ((hugs)) we will get there we have to beleive that.

milosmum · 07/09/2005 19:39

hula- i know it must be hard seeing everyone leave with there BFP and sometimes the whole ttc thing gets to much. We all need a break sometimes... hugs to you honey- really know where you are coming from, as im sure most of us do. Take that break if you really feel you need it, we ll always be here for you when you return. Who knows maybe the relaxed approach will work for you.

i know since ive stopped the temping and opks i ve felt so much better. Still get down, especially seeing Ds is now in reception and many of the other mums have new babies or large bumps, its kills me when DS asks when "zippy"(his pet name for the baby) is going to come..... but we have to carry on hula, we will get that BFP!!!!!

Hug & Kisses Honey..... and the same to all of the ladies on this thread!WE WILL GET THERE!

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 07/09/2005 19:47

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 07/09/2005 20:16

yeah thanks me too dont think ive got a hope in hell though with all this going on with mum.

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 08/09/2005 08:07

well temp gone back up now to 36.49 and on cd 13 so must have ovulated early !

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 08/09/2005 08:32

hurray persona monitor arrived this morning, munz when do i start using it?

munz · 08/09/2005 08:42

woohhhoo yay finally it's arrived, debs, temp has to stay up above cover for 3 days apparently to show has actually OV'ed. so keep on BD'ing and looking at ur CM. as for the persona it has to be used on CD1, u also need to reset it to make sure it's working to your cycle not the prev persons, and don't be too upset if u don't see the big 'o' on there for the first couple of months as it can take that long to get used to it, u need two sets of sticks - doesn't matter if they're not the same number - regardless of what they tell u on the instructions.

good luck hon.

munz · 08/09/2005 08:43

oh hula ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) massive hugs for u honney. (((((((hugs)))))))))) u will get there I promise, just see iof u don't. ((((hugs)))))

milosmum · 08/09/2005 16:23
