The 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

***

Although all most of these rules are well and truely broken!! But we try to chill - honest

PMSL while feeling sorry for you Takethat!! ShockBlushGrin Someone did shout "he's got his arse out"! I won't tell him, he's a sensitive soul Grin They were the embarrassingly drunk people that all sober people laugh at in pity! Grin Cringeworthy! Apparently he was at a house party on monday but everyone left him and he didn't know where he was and he cried down the phone at 2am to his Mam then sat up on the settee all night because the flat doors wouldn't lock! Some friends he's got! He's not worldy-wise bless him Grin

He'll not be out of bed until about 3pm, then we're all supposed to be going bowling! I'd like to bet that I could sleep through the noise so I might have a kip while they bowl Grin

HarderToKidnap · 17/09/2010 09:07

Welcome miffles and nickelbabe!!

Proper laughed hard at takethat's chair antics. I remember once I offloaded a sofa on freecycle. The people came round to collect it and I was trying to push it out of my bedroom and it got wedged in the door - I was trapped in the bedroom whilst these strangers were roaming my flat looking for random tools to release me! We unscrewed the sofa feet in the end.

Went out last night for some lovely Iranian food after a three night-one day stretch at work so absolutely knackered. Drank a whole bottle of wine TO MYSELF and then JSed for the first time this cycle.

Some men are downstairs sanding my floor. So I am trapped in my bedroom with the dog, with nothing to do! Lovely lovely MNing time.

Now, I have had a Thought, viroids. Despite some pretty intense furkling I cannot locate my own cervix, which is ridiculous considering I am a midwife and locating cervixes is my job. This leads me to believe mmy cervix is very posterior and I have heard that an all fours, bum in the air position after sex can aid conception when you have a very posterior cervix. Should I do it or is that just too far?

BrassicaBabe · 17/09/2010 09:12

I think you need to put out an alert for a cervix MIA harder Grin Sorry, not helpful Blush What CD are you? Could it just be v high and therefore fertile?

OP posts:
HarderToKidnap · 17/09/2010 09:15

Only CD7 but this is a long term thing. Haven't EVER been able to find it. I could ask DH but I think he would faint. And then he would probably tell me to get one of the girls at work to do it (which has crossed my mind...)

BrassicaBabe · 17/09/2010 09:22

ShockShock for getting one of the girls at work to check your cervix. Grin V funny thought though! Grin

OP posts:
NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/09/2010 09:24

G'day Miffles and Nickelbabe (and waves to all other stalkers lurkers out there Grin)

TTL you are one funny viroid!!

Well AF is done and dusted here. It was oddly light this month and no pain or discomfort at all (very unusual!). Now I'm just impatient for attempt number 3. Feeling strangely unfeeling about this last CP. I guess I just can't afford wating the emotional time on it. Does that make sense? If there is a prob I just want to get on with the next CP then the Drs to get fixed, and if there's no prob I just want to get on with getting knocked up and staying pg.
PS TTL last months post CP AF was a bit heavier then usual and this months was lighter than usual, but interms of blobbyness it really was like usual. Though to be fair I didn't look to much!

Happy Friday all. Back in my bed tonight as parents away for a few nights, so looking forward to some just cause I like it shagging tonight GrinWink

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 09:30

PMSL @ asking one of the girls at work to find it Harder then I realised with being a midwife that's probably a very good idea! Grin

I had a furkle for mine last night and couldn't find it but I have no previous expertise so that chances were slim to start with! I think DH would gladly look but I'm too embarrassed to ask! Blush

milanomum · 17/09/2010 10:31

takethat you are pure entertainment, pmsl at chair and flashing!

welcome miffy!

HTK i'd just ask someone at work if I were you - sure they've seen it all before, right? ;) (I lost all prudeness after giving birth)
What an amazing job you have though [impressed face]

I've never tried to find my cervix...don't know if i will either. But i did hear that, ahem, doggy style is the best for conception.

milanomum · 17/09/2010 10:34

Oh and :( at your couch josie that's not on but it sounds like you are getting good parenting practice looking after silly boys :)

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 10:35

To top it all off I'm pretty sure I can feel ERTD preparing itself to descend Sad

takethatlady · 17/09/2010 10:38

PMSL HTK! I'm sure the girls at work are used to the odd furkle and they'd be more than happy to oblige Grin. My colleagues mainly read books so I'm not sure what they'd say if I asked them ha ha. I like the post-coital doggy position. You could just do it doggy style like milano suggests and then stay there for half an hour afterwards. That would be fun.

Josie I am one of those people sober people laugh at. Tell him it's okay, after a while you stop cringeing Smile

Any 2ww madness brassica? I'm so over the 2ww.

nickelbabe · 17/09/2010 10:43

NoMorechoc- i wish I could say the same about my AF - it's come with a vengeance this morning - just got a horribd pain down below.
Also, I feel sick, like proper queasy. that's unusual in itself, but i do get queasiness if pain is very bad... it was alright (sipping at water) until a lady came in the shop with very strong perfume on, and i thought I was going to hurl there and then.
she's gone (without buying anything, to add insult to injury!!) but the nausea remains. :(

this is my face: Confused that's vomit face! Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/09/2010 10:51

Ohh Nickle strong perfume makes me want to hurl at the best of times. I've been known to start a coughing fit walking down the street after catching a whiff of anything to strong. YUCK!

Right am slapping myself with a VERY large kipper! I must NOT read other threads about TTC mumbo jumbo and I must definately NOT run out to stock up on daft things like royal jelly. GAH!!"!! Sound of Kipper hitting face

In other news my boobs are still bigger than normal thanks to the latest CP. That's a side effect I can live with Grin Esp if it helps me to woo DH (filthy stop out grin!)

nickelbabe · 17/09/2010 10:53

Truffkin not ignoring, i go home at 6, so don't MN after that! (it's purely a work hobby! Grin)

your interrogation question:
"Welcome Nicklebabe and pray tell us your tale, how long and in what guise have you been actively tying to make babies just shagging? What is your tipple of choice? Do you have any interesting (read weird, crazy, entertaining!) hobbies?"

i got married in august, and we discussed what we would do after we married, so the first sex we had after the big day was with a condom (we only ever used condoms, because i didn't want to get back into the pill then find my body went all wacky and wouldn't behave after i stopped - plus i'm sure it made me a bit mardy), but then we did it without about 3 weeks ago (you sure you want this much detail?!) and talked again. it's very exciting "just seeing what might happen" - and when we did our nuclear shop, I picked up some folic acid (helpfully, so i didn't have to spell it out in the queue at the supermarket, the container says "MUM TO BE" in huge letters on the front!!) and he agreed!
my tipple of choice is normally lager, but i will drink anything, really.
if it's wine, it has to be chardonnay, because i don't like it sweet.
hobbies, yes, they are all quite weird and wacky! (especially combined...) I am in my church choir, so I love singing, I like to sew a bit (made my wedding dress, pics on profile), am a member of the WI, and I do bellydancing (am in a dance troupe called Hasna Bellydance and even danced a bit at the wedding). My biggest hobby is my job, as i don't yet get any money for it - i run a small children's bookshop (been open 2 years, so not yet making any money)

is that all TMI, or will that do? Grin

nickelbabe · 17/09/2010 10:58

NoMoreChoc - i think my boobs have got bigger recently - either that or my bras have shrunk.

and yes, perfume always makes me want to hurl - and scratch my eyes out with the stinging!

BrassicaBabe · 17/09/2010 11:00

nomore I'll join you in the not reading my more TTC mumbo-jumbo. Yesterday I rushed upstairs and peed on 2 OPKs after reading that OPKs work as pg tests too. Felt like I wasn't cheating because it wasn't actually a pg test Hmm (BFN of course at then 7DPO, doh)

OP posts:
BrassicaBabe · 17/09/2010 11:06

Nice resume nickle Grin Particularly impressed with the bellydancing!

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 17/09/2010 11:08

Grin thanks!

apprarently it's useful for child-bearing.

there's a Youtube video somewhere of my teacher bellydancing her way through her contractions (she had to flip her son as he was back-to-front and she spent a couple of hours doing camels to turn him - it workd as well!)

HarderToKidnap · 17/09/2010 11:09

Brassica, I am SO excited about your 2ww, I just can't wait to find out if you are pregnant!!

I think I have become addicted to 2ww adrenaline - as I am not in my own 2ww, I have to latch on to someone else's to get excited about.

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 11:19

HTK my 2ww is nearly over, today or tomorrow to be exact! ERTD usually arrives on the friday but has ocassionally arrived on the sat, though not since I stopped pill 3 months ago so we'll see. I'll be excited if it doesn't arrive today but will wait until tomorrow before POAS!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/09/2010 11:25

PMSL at you latching onto other viroids 2WW HTK

My DS is being soo cute right now. How could I not want another one!

Man I hate the 2WW before the 2WW. AF only just finished and I'm already bored. Think my brain is scrambled after waking up at just after 5 to hear my parents crashing around like a couple of elephants.

Ok putting the computer down and going off to eat hormone balancing licorice do some house work. Oh the excitment!

Might need another kipper slap by the end of the day!

Truffkin · 17/09/2010 12:26

Morning viroids and thanks Nickle for your CV, am impressed with your dressmaking skillz and loving your work venture Smile

Josie am simply going to have to log on by phone tomorrow to see what your Saturday brings, am hearing your ERTD symptom news but chosing not to hear

NoMore not impressed with the early morning wake up call. I on the other hand was clearly too indulgent with myself this morning and fell back into a deep sleep when DH left for work, only to wake at 8.45, meaning I rushed around like a loony to get to work at a half decent time. I'm off this afternoon as well - oops!

Brassica step away from the madness, I appreciate this is easier said than done and reserve the right to not practice what I preach in the next 2 weeks but it will drive you curayzeeConfused

TakeThat serious comedy gold, as if the armchair manoeouvring wasn't enough, the tit flashing just sent me over the edge. I of course, have never been known to do anything even slightly embarrassing under the influence Biscuit

Happy Friday viraloids, mine starts officially in ooooh and hour Grin Grin Grin

BrassicaBabe · 17/09/2010 12:57

If you can share my 2ww mentalness harder you are welcome to live vicariously! Grin

Fingers crossed for tomorrow josie. You must come on and let us know asap!

Mad? Me, truffers?

I don't suppose there's any chance of a BFP on CD21/DPO9?! I've got a big dinner party bash tomorrow with a fridge full of nice wine Hmm

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 13:25

PMSL Truff, thanks for the incense! Grin I may have been imagining the ERTD signs though Hmm, nothing since.

I was reading the agony pages of a mag at lunchtime and someone asked how soon they could do a pg test Biscuit, then there was a full page advert for new mums on the back page Biscuit x 2

I won?t be on here from 5pm tonight and won?t likely get a chance on sat as it?ll be a long busy day and I?ll be exhausted when I get back, but if it hasn?t arrived by Sunday morning I promise I?ll be on here, after POAS of course!
