Settle down girls settle down as I hand you all a yummy pornstar cocktail complete with a sparkler and tacky umbrella. I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Oh and no AF around here - only FERTD.... Capishe??

Help! Do we have any fertility friend experts? I've just added today's temp under 14 August by accident and now it thinks that was cycle day 1! I've tried deleting all the data for that day, so the temp is gone but it still thinks it's day one. How can I fix it so it knows the real cycle start date?!

HRHCavey · 14/09/2010 07:04

evil I've just had a look on my FF. Whilst you are logged in to your data there should be a tab in the left hand menu that says "Cycles". If you click on this a new tab list will appear which includes a tab labelled "Change Cycle Start Date".

I haven't gone any further on my own chart, as I don't want to change mine(!) but I hope that sorts the problem for you.

HRHCavey · 14/09/2010 08:36

Me again. I thought you'd want to know that there is some sad news re Fudgecat on the Grads thread. Here.

MissFlick · 14/09/2010 08:45

Morning all. What terribly sad news :( Thanks for letting us know cave really puts what I moan about into perspective. fudge has been so amazingly strong xxxxx

alien06 · 14/09/2010 09:01

I didnt "know" Fudge but my thoughts go out to her :(

I agree FLick puts what we are moaning about into perspective.

Feels a but wrong to update on me but I am still ill, have docs this morning as I think I have tonsillitis, will find out in a bit. ERTD was the weirdest one yet! very light and not much bleeding, very peculiar!! Saying that its nice to have a light short one.

Florin I know exactly how you feel, everyone I see is pregnant or has a new born, its really hard. I got a new car last year for a family even though we have only recently started TTC but I look at the back seats and imagine a baby in there, In fact when I was out with my friend and we picked her 3 month old up from his Grandmas we put him in my car( we have same car) and god that was really hard. But try to think that in the meantime we can have the car messy, have loads of clothes all over it and spare shoes etc :0)
Try to keep your chin up :0)

xx

LankyLegs · 14/09/2010 09:06

Cavey thanks for bringing that to our attention - that is really quite fucking awful and sad. Life is shit sometimes isn't it? I do wonder why some people have such a hard time of it and then other seem to sail through.

Flick good luck with your results chica. Hope you pass with flying colours Wink

Evil did you manage to sort it - had a quick look this morning on FF and I would suggest the same as cave. Hope you get it back on track.

Highheels sorry chica you are not getting clear signs of Ov either and try not to feel crappy about your body not working without chemical intervention - sometimes it just needs a break from the stuff. Thanks for the tip re acupuncture as well - will warn Mrlanky to expect a spaced out wife after the session. Was it actually relaxing? Oh and a cherry tree - what a wonderful present! How thoughtful! You made me chuckle though - good luck with trying to hide it!!

Florin hope dinner was nice. I agree - why can't we all just be bloody pregnant - it really can't be that hard right? I mean the streets are teaming with pregnant women everywhere just reminding us - there was even one in the gym ffs!

I feel a bit better than yesterday - but not much! Although not feeling as ERTD-y today. Yesterday I was running to the loo thinking it was going to arrive any min and it was only 9DPO - way too early. Not much I can do but wait for her arrival - have already resigned myself to yet another fail this month. I'll just be in the corner sulking with my bumper pack of haribo sweets. Aplogies if I am shedding all doom and gloom! I will feel better soon I'm sure Confused

Just wanted to post to say thanks Cavey for letting us know about Fudge.

Hope everyone is well x

JosieSmith1 · 14/09/2010 09:49

Thanks Raspberry, we had a bit of a chat last night (even thought DH was playing a game but it was in the loading bits if that makes sense Grin) so I?m hoping he?s picked up on the hint and will do some housework this morning before he goes to work (fingers crossed). I explained that when he?s at work tonight I will be doing the washing, ironing, hoovering, dishes etc and he looked a bit sheepish and said sorry so here?s hoping! Plus I explained that we can?t make a baby without sex, and that I?m disappointed every month and he doesn?t realise how upset it makes me but that I?m always thinking ?well we didn?t really make an effort so I?m not surprised I?m not pg? and he agreed that we?d try harder now. He didn?t realise that this month was the last chance to get pg and be due before best mates wedding, so if I get pg from now before June I?ll be a pg maid of honour! Not ideal for me

Oh no HighHeels! I get everything delivered to work so DH has not chance of finding it! Can you intercept delivery and stash it at a friend?s house?

I didn?t know Fudge but how awful! It reminds me of what my parents went through before I was born ? they had their first son in 1979 but when he was four days old the nurse said he was cold and took him away. That was the last time they saw him ? he had something called hypoplastic left heart syndrome meaning the left side of his heart was under developed and didn?t pump the blood properly. It can be hereditary and I have heart problems so we?ve been really worried about it. They can scan for it now but the prognosis isn?t good. Apparently in 1980 they found a way of keeping babies with it alive but they rarely survive past their 20s. It would have been his 30th birthday last year and it was only then that Mam could talk about it.

Anyway, not to detach from the awfulness(?) but I have a plan, or rather, the girls at work have a plan! They don?t know I?m TTC but they?ve decided I should have a baby so I?m off to another office where they have a pg chair! Everyone who has sat in it the past 2 years has fallen pg, including the temps who came in to cover maternity leave Grin, so it?s my turn now! That?s my plan and I?m sticking to it Grin

Also thanks for letting us know about fudge - that is just such awful news.

alien06 · 14/09/2010 14:12

hey everyone, seems that everyone must be busy today as not many posts to keep me busy on my day off,

I went to the nurse and apparently I have a viral infection resulting in a very sore, red raw throat :0(

I am going to take myself back to work tomoz as I am bored as a bat stuck at home!

Still getting very confused re my very short and light ERTD! Any ideas as to why it has hardly been here? Does stress, diet ? anything change it?

x

JosieSmith1 · 14/09/2010 14:40

Afternoon everyone.

I've just spent some time with my friend and her 11 month old daughter who I haven't seen since she was about 2 months old! My god she is gorgeous! I got lots of smiles and hand clapping and box banging etc. Grin

This is the friend who, when I told her we were TTC she said that I shouldn't be pushed into it and basically insinuated that I hadn't thought about it and that DH was pushing me into it, but she apologised today and said she hadn't meant it like that (it was a text) and she was pleased that I was excited about it and not being pushed into it.

I'm even more desperate after seeing her daughter again as she's soooooo cute!!! GrinGrin

gardenpixie · 14/09/2010 14:47

Hi ladies

Josie that's so lovley - every time I see my friends' little people, it does remind me why I am continuing to go slowly mad with all the TTC-ing! Glad you had a great time

Alien Now feel free to ignore me but have you thought of a quick POAS just to rule out any pg causes of light bleeding? I'm not sure of anything else that affects it in that way. I'm sure smarter frolickers will be able to give you other answers but I just thought I'd put it out there Smile

Sorry you are feeling poorly - hate throat infections. Hope you are able to take good care of yourself xx

Toriajayne · 14/09/2010 15:12

What awful news for Fudge makes me feel a bit guilty and self absorbed for all my whining, as Lanky said though, it does make you wonder why some people have it so hard and some people blink and miss it all.

Josie Glad you got to talk to OH and spent some time with your friend's little girl, she sounds fab :) Good luck with the new chair!

Alien I had the same thought as Garden but then if mine are late they tend to be heavy and mental rather than light so that's where I was coming from.

Highheels What a fab pressie Grin Second sneaking it out and hiding it at a friend's house.

Well this morning the ov type pains gave way to crampy pains across the top of my pelvis so at least we're moving on. Have my aunt's birthday this weekend so don't see me holding up my not drinking in the 2WW atempts, although I have been a complete sadact and ordered Brazil Nuts in the Tesco shop after reading in a thread on here that they help implantation. I figure they're cheaper than Bee Pollen, fresh pinapples or any of the other miracle aids lol. In the real world I have moved onto Angel as True Blood is still MIA so am reliving my yoof with brooding vampires a-plenty Grin

kkas · 14/09/2010 15:21

just updating the list as FERTD showed up with a vengeance this morning. am now vegged out on the couch with a hot water bottle as the cramps were so painful it made me physically sick this morning Sad so i called in sick. at least it was the first cycle where i actually made it to 14 DPO so the B6 seems to be doing something. now just have to sort out these painful cramps given emma cannon says periods should be painless....

alien06 · 14/09/2010 15:36

Hey , i have ordered some preg strips from amazon which should be here anyday so will poas as soon as I get them. Have no other signs , was so peculiar as mega sore boobs went exactly when ertd arrived! Had slight darkening of nipple area ( sorry if tmi!) but only one tiny bit, which looks more like a couple of new freckles,...?
I think I may just be getting lucky with light ertds :0) hopefully this cycle will be my lucky one, third time lucky and all that malarkey!

Ariesgirl · 14/09/2010 15:42

So sad for Fudge :(

Truffkin · 14/09/2010 15:50

Hi everyone, I've just read the thread that Fudge posted and am so, so sad about it. I didn't 'meet' Fudge on here as she had graduated before I found the forum, but feel so awful for what she is going through. Also very sad that other ladies have been through the same thing, I was a bit teary eyed when reading their stories.

Josie glad you feel like you've had a good chat with DH and that he maybe knows how you feel a bit better now. My DH is a keen gamer (he wors in the industry as well) and we have phases when he gets a new game and plays it A LOT. Red Dead Redemption was the most recent craze, although I have to say I didn't really mind that as the story was quite engaging! I tend to read while he's playing or he has some game time when I'm cooking or in the bath. We do have a house rule that if he's home first and playing a game, it goes off for a while when I get home so we can say proper hellos rather than a quick peck while the next round of 'Call of Duty' is loading Grin

Oh Lanky I'm sorry you are feeling down, would this triple chocolate muffin bowl of fruit and glass of wine healthy herbal tea help? Am hoping Josie's pregnancy chair works for her and starts the next round of BFPs on here quite soon! I have been keeping my eye out for the one in my department as we've had several pregnancy announcements recently.

HighHeels lovely gift idea for your hubby, good luck with finding a hiding place for a tree though Confused It's my DH's birthday in a few weeks and some of his gifts are arriving on Wednesday so am hoping to get home before him and stash them away somewhere safe before he gets suspicious.

Alien Sad that you are poorly and hope the doc can give you something to make it better. I know what you mean about light ERTD, my last one was 4 days and very light with no cramping - beauty! DH did report back on me being a little shorter tempered than usual though, so didn't get away with it completely!

Flick am looking out for your post to find out the results of your tests. Come and let us know my love.

Hope everyone else is having a good Tuesday, it's going much quicker than yesterday did (thank the Lord!) and we're nearly half way through the working week already, 2 down 3 more to go Grin

LankyLegs · 14/09/2010 15:50

kkas sorry FERTD is so painful for you. Well done for taking the day off - us women normally just trudge along with all the ERTD pains even if they are de-habilitaing. We should get an extra 2-3 days off a month for putting up with it. If men got periods they wouldn't be able to cope AT ALL!

Toria great news that you are getting some signs of ERTD now as well. Get cracking this evening.

Josie your friend's baby sounds very cute! I can totally empathise that it always makes you want one then and there!

Alien that sounds really rather painful - poor thing. Feel better soon. Also - when I read your post I thought as the others - maybe POAS just to make sure? I have heard of crazier things.

Ok - not only am I not getting a baby this month I also officially hate my current job. I work with a bunch of macho men who seem to think the sun shines out their ass. I seriously was hoping I would be on my 'gap year' by now! Not project managing some shitty project that I 'pretend' to care about and be interested in! Does nayone else dream of coffee mornings with other mums and babies? It's not so much to ask for is it - a a year off after working non stop for years?!

OK Rant over - this is why I should not post when I am pre-menstrual!

kkas · 14/09/2010 16:02

fudge's thread is heartbreaking. i am in such awe of how she has coped with this as well as the other women who have posted. life is shit sometimes.

lanky i totally know how you feel. it's just not fair.

LankyLegs · 14/09/2010 16:39

Truff great plan to go with Josie's pregnancy chair theory - every office seems to have one! Apart from my current one which is full of fat middle aged dull me Grin!

Sorry for moaning everyone- not normally like this.

Anyway - Flick have been lurking all day to hear about blood test news. Hope everythig is ok my lovely, come back and report when you get the chance. We have missed you on here today.

Ok who wants to play 'shall we hit the gym/do some exercise this evening' again?!!

I am hear to whip anyone's ass should they need encouragement as garden and josie kindly did me yesterday!!

OP posts:
LankyLegs · 14/09/2010 16:40

kkas I am with you on the whole it's not fair thing too Sad

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 14/09/2010 16:41

Toria that?s just pants as I have nut allergy so can?t have brazil nuts. I have to recommend the tv programme vampire diaries if you like that sort of thing.

Truff it sounds like a good idea saying a proper hello rather than a quick one between games! Might implement that rule myself.

Fingers crossed for the pregnancy chair anyone, if it was mine I?d offer to lend it out but I don?t think work would see it too kindly!

Lanky feel free to have a rant, I also wish I could get away from work, just now I have been pulled about something I supposedly forgot to send, which I think in all honesty I did forget, but management have just been re-structured and our manager wants to be the best so she wants someone hauled over the coals for the slightest thing. If she spent any time in our office she?d realise just how bloody hard we all work and that it?s easy to forget when you?re working like a headless chicken all day every day! Argh! She can shove it where the sun don?t shine if she wants to discipline me!

JosieSmith1 · 14/09/2010 16:45

Cross post Lanky, can't do any exercise tonight as DH is working late so I need to get straight to yard and feed horse so I can get home and feed the dog! I'll no doubt be doing masses of washing, ironing and dishes though so I think that should count Grin

LankyLegs · 14/09/2010 16:57

I'll let you off Josie sounds like you have a busy evening ahead of you! Also - your boss sounds a bit naff too, poor us hey!

Have lovely evenings all xx
