Settle down girls settle down as I hand you all a yummy pornstar cocktail complete with a sparkler and tacky umbrella. I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Oh and no AF around here - only FERTD.... Capishe??

alien I am still going to keep my fingers crossed for you even if you do think it's ERTD! Think you are right to wait for a few more days though ... ignore me getting all excited for you!
Have a lovely day with your teddy bears Smile

alien06 · 05/09/2010 22:34

Awww thanks gardenpixie I shall keep u posted, hopefully we ll have some BFP's this week :0) x

mumnerves · 05/09/2010 22:38

Just pop-ed in to say hi everyone, hope we get more BFPs soon Wink

Also zippy so sorry to hear your news, a work colleague found out she was pregnant a few weeks ago after thinking children were out of the question due to chemotherapy so there is some chance, hope you get some help from the professionals, big hugs sent your way!

Florin · 05/09/2010 23:25

Oh lucky you alien i find sharp elbowing in the ribs at regular intervals makes them turn over! Have u found channel health i am obsessed with it lots of baby programs. I always watch it when dh Is out.
Fed up with people saying when I relax I will get pregnant it has to be the most annoying phrase. I've tried that I wad so relaxed while I was on holiday I didn't even take folic acid bit I still didn't get bloody pregnant. Sorry feeling a little sorry for myself-had a friend moan for ages about her children on the phone.

felicityFlick · 06/09/2010 05:41

Morning all,

Sorry to have missed the cozy night by the fire and all the hungover Sunday chat in the Three Follicles.

I was whizzing through three episodes of Mad Men- one episode left of series two and then we?re back to finish series one of The Wire. I don?t think many of you have been watching/watched Mad Men, but you so should. Mr. F and I love it.

bella well done on the tennis! Really hope your ERTD arrives this week- I know your pain! My longest cycle has been 57 days so I hope that mine will be here soon as I am only a week away from beating this dubious record Hmm Perhaps we will be long cycle buddies :) So do your and your dh live in the country at the weekend and London in the week? Where is your place in the country?

cherry my love, try not to panic. Easier said than done, I know. I am sure that your First Response this morning will be a big bold, BFP. I am not sure how reliable those cheapies are after all...although definitely good for feeding a POAS addiction, perhaps they are not the most reliable. :) Glad you had a nice time at the wedding, were you spotted not drinking at all?

lanky your Friday sounds heavenly as does your Sunday :) Am jealous of everyone?s gorgeous kitchens. The kitchen here in our place in Honkers is so wee. That is one of the things I am most looking forward to about moving back to England- having our very own house with big, lovely kitchen! I have just found this place and am so keen to go. He is billed as the Asian version of Heston Blumenthal- oooo, speaking of which... I am going to book The Fat Duck (or Buck crazyWink)for a treat for Mr. F and I for our wedding anniversary in December. It has worked out perfectly as we are at a wedding on the 18th Dec which is just up the road from Bray, literally 10 mins so I am going to book for lunch on the 17th and a lush B&B for two nights. They only take bookings two months in advance though so I have the 17th October firmly penned in my diary so I will remember to ring up and book. Thanks so much for remembering my appointment you sweetie. Will come back later on and let you know how I get on.

highheels Your evening with your friend sounds lovely! Sorry you had such a stonker of a hangover- hope it?s gone today and is not a two dayer. I had a shocker of one back in June that lasted for almost a week, I?m not even lying! What?s the latest with the complaining Missy? We have not forgotten! Did you say you had a GP?s appointment coming up?

Glad your DH is better florin and that you managed some SWI-ing. Keeping all crossed for you chick. Jealous of your no hangover after cocktails!EnvyThe relax phrase makes me want to get violent with whoever says it... GRRRR Angry However, I am going to go for some reflexology when ERTD finally arrives. Even if it doesn?t work, it is meant to be nice. It did help cherry win her baby though so.....

Glad you echo my thoughts on Wayne idiot Rooney toria - what?s the latest in today?s papers? I miss my sleb goss out here!

lovelyHermya yes I did test three times all BFN. Think my cycle is up the spout again after traveling around all summer. Have appointment today with a gynae so will see what she says about it all. Thanks for asking :)Lovely new thread, will pop over for a cuppa soon.

garden! That awful man! I don?t care if he was drunk- How very dare he? Great news on what the doctor friend said though and also that the rest of your weekend was lovely.Did you ever email your consultant in the end? Hope you can be fitted in for a scan today.

truff I was wondering what your DH was on Grin I don?t think having a light ERTD should be a problem, more of a blessing :) keeping fingers crossed that your cycle is well behaved this month. Your dinner sounded lovely. I had to have a cheese roll for mine- long story, don?t ask!

Morning alien hope your night?s sleep was not too disturbed by the snoring! Glad you made up after your row, lucky you had some quality symptoms tv to distract you Wink Oh your bear day sounds lovely- jealous! When I hear things like that I want to teach little ones. Mr. F. teachers 6 year olds and he always does cool stuff- I have the smelly teenagers and the stress of A-levels etc. BOO.

Hi mumnerves :) Glad all well for youxxxx

mrsW read your post about the hen night on the other thread- awkward! Did the bride know? and did you have to end up actually telling any of the other girls or did you just make excuses?! Perhaps you were on the same hen do as florinGrin

Morning All.

Awake early. DH & I just off to the gym but aim feeling very lazy so not sure if I will go. Might just have an hour reading in bed Instead

Flick - we have a house down in Kent so are there every weekend. Very exciting about the Fat Buck - you will love it!

felicityFlick · 06/09/2010 06:20

Stay in bed!!

Bellaby · 06/09/2010 06:35

Thanks Flick. Am doing just that. Will blame you when I get grief from DH Wink

alien06 · 06/09/2010 06:42

Yeah stay in bed lol. Saying that I am currently out walking my dog! POAS this morning but got BFN which I totally expected so must be PMT symptom :( oh well hopefully one day I'll get a BFP :-0) I have started to feel like it will never happen when everyone else around us are having them all the time or on their first month of trying. I've decided to not track ov time as I will get obsessed with it so trying to go with the flow lol.which is easier said than done!
Has anyone made any lifestyle changes? I seem to be drinking more lol through stressingabout TTC. I am aiming to cut down this week though.

Enough rambling from me ! Happy Monday to everyone :0)

crazybutterflylady · 06/09/2010 06:44

Morning all

Just popping in before work to say cherry I was exactly the same and was about 3 +4 when I tested, with a reeeeeally faint line. I did an ovulation one on thursday which said 1-2 weeks (they count from OV not last cycle day) and just to be sure Blush another test this morning and it's a much more prominent line so it's true what they say: a line is a line is a line.

Will catch up with everyone else when I get to work. Hope you all had lovely weekends! Oh and garden I did see the butterflies, was it in Saturday's Times??

xx

felicityFlick · 06/09/2010 06:54

ooo forgot to say good luck at the docs kurly Can't wait to hear what they say! xx

gardenpixie · 06/09/2010 07:38

Hi all, just a quick post to say hello! And florin tell them all to bugger off - I find it so patronising - "hey, just relax" (in my mind, they always say this in a dufus nordic accent) makes us out to be hysterical women who are too uppity for our own good. I just want to shout: it's not about relaxing you idiots, it's about getting the right bits working, then meeting each other at the right time, and then bedding in properly. NONE of that is easy OR relaxing so eff off ... Grrrrrr. Hmmmm, rant over, sorry!

Was meant to have a scan tomorrow but just been told I have an enormous meeting I have to go to. Actually I am not too stressed about it as we'll just keep SWI-ing anyway and see what happens.

Big waves to everyone else and I hope the week is getting off to a good start Grin

felicityFlick · 06/09/2010 07:45

garden, didn't we tell you that you weren't allowed to go to anymore meetings? Wink

gardenpixie · 06/09/2010 07:48

Oh Flick you did, you did! I must put that in my diary so I don't mess up and agree to any more ... Smile

kurlyvoice · 06/09/2010 09:09

You are all so lovely and chatty Smile - having a read this morning has really cheered me up and I might even be able to face a little Year 7 class later on today...

Flick, thanks for your good-luck-wishes, I'm just hoping that it isn't a two minute in-out job given my slightly waffy history! I had an awful dream last night that I had a miscarriage and woke up crying Sad but am hoping that my subconscious is the only place where such things will happen.

Anyway, will post more substantially this evening when I have some kind of doctoral response. Hope everyone has/is having a good Monday!

LankyLegs · 06/09/2010 09:14

Morning all,

I Hate Monday's and what an awful busy week I have planned - aggh. Why does work get in the way of life I tell you?! Just a quick one from me as I am snowed at work.

Bella well done for staying in bed - I certainly would have done!!

Garden hope you don't have too busy a day - I know the feeling! Hope MrG had a good birthday - and I think that bloke sounds like he had way too much to drink!! Just ignore him. Its also nice you got to speak to someone medical about the ovulation timing, Good to keep SWI-ing through it and see what happens - its never too late. OMG - yes I know what you mean about kitchens! I think our whole house budget is going to be blown there - its it said to get excited about nice looking appliances though? Hope your meeting goes well

Cherry try not to worry too much - like you said you tested really early - and with everyday that passes the more the hcg builds up.

Toria your kitchen also sounds fab - that chef sounds very retro and cool!

Alien symptoms sounds promising - But don't test too early ! Do wait until at least 28 days.

Truff sounds like you had a great weekend of indulgence! Glad to see you get on the SWI-wagon. The practice is always good!

Florin oooh where do you live? We should be completing on the house soon so can't wait to head to Beckenham! Its a cute little place (well much nicer than Clapham where I am now). I agree with garden - I hate it when people say - just chill out! My sister is one of them (currently pregnant with 3rd so easy for her to say!) It just isn't that easy.

Flick - the fat 'buck' will be great - make sure that you phone on the dot - I think I phoned at about 10am and all the slots has been taken for that equivalent day 2 months later - so ended up booking Friday lunch (which was nicer anyway) - gets booked up very quickly! Ooh you are a bad girl posting that link - like I need any more encouraging to eat out!! So when are you planning to head back to the UK chica? Do keep us posted on how it goes today - I take it no ERTD yet then? Poor thing :(

Hello to raspberry and every other lovely frolicker!! Lovely to hear from you crazybutterfly hope you excited about your holiday on Friday?!

Waves to halo and mrswajs too!

Weekend was good - full of way tooo much food as usual - really must stop eating! Well we managed to get some SWI in on the right days so hopefully we hit the nail on the head but we shall see! I think it depends on my thyroid. 2 DPO today - another 10 to go for me! I suddenly realised that I have gone through a 100 pack of vit b6, over 8 months worth of antenatal vits - its quite sad really! Must not think about it too much!

Have great Monday's all and will pop in later!

crazybutterflylady · 06/09/2010 09:20

Morning morning!!

Hope you all had good weekends and are recovering from your hangovers ready for another fun-filled week at work (!)

flick good luck for your gynae appt, I hope you get some answers and positivity. Did you say your wedding was at the Fat Buck too? Mr Flick is going to be very chuffed :) I might buy Mad Men, I have been lusting over the wardrobe for a while but never managed to watch any.

garden very annoyed to hear you're going to be busy at work today, was looking forward to more aga talk and general waffling Grin I can't believe someone was that rude to you in your own home; I do hope he won't be welcome in future [snooty emoticon] - unless he grovels and apologises of course. To be honest, anyone that smokes and comes to our house automatically goes outside, they don't even expect to smoke indoors so he is obviously the one with the problem, arrogant man! Drunk or not, it's just RUDE. Sounds like you are feeling more positive after the chat with your very clever mate though which is really good.

Bellaby well done for staying in bed, nobody should be getting up early for the gym on a Monday! Just wrong.

Lanky hope you enjoyed your weekend in your new manor. And kitchen shopping, tres jealous. I do think you could justify the appliances prices though, cost per use is very low ;)... I can't wait for all that! We are going to move in Februarys but rent again to make sure the area's right for us first. I feel very impatient though, I want my own place NOW!

Alien fingers crossed for a BFP for you in the next few days... it does sound promising!

MrsWajs in case you're lurking, good luck for your appt this PM, let us know how it goes.

higheels I hope you're feeling a bit more alive this morning, ready for the brats!

Hi to everyone else (can't scroll very far up!), happy monday xx

crazybutterflylady · 06/09/2010 09:57

Hi Lanky our posts crossed...

Yep I am looking forward to it, just going to Geneva to see some friends. We had to tell them this weekend as us girls are going to a spa for the day so I had to make sure I could have the treatments. Mr Crazy is being a little sweetie and has told me to book what I need as its important to look after myself. He's also told me to buy what I need and not worry about it.. and even did all the cleaning because he didn't want me breathing in fumes. Bless him. I tried to tell him we use Method which don't have fumes as such but he wouldn't have any of it Grin

Glad you had a nice food-filled weekend :) as for the tablets, you're just preparing the shell to be ultra perfect for a LankySplodge. I had a PT and was on a huge health kick for 3 months before we started trying...I think it's really important to get the house in order and that's just wehat you are doing. When it's the right time it will happen... probably just when you have moved into your lovely new house so you can nest proper!!

xx

womanlytales · 06/09/2010 10:07

Happy Monday everyone,
Sorry to have missed the pub night talk yesterday It's been a busy weekend for I go on holiday without DH on Friday 2 weeks with my parents. Work is terribly busy so this week is looking daunting.
mrswajs good luck with your appt.
cherry Agree with the suggestion to poas in the morning.

alien Fab that you're going to test next weekend as halo says you'll only be more pregnant by that time-- Fingers crossed for you :)
lanky I am rooting for you in this thread and really have all things crossed that you get a bfp.
garden Glad you got to speak with a consultant informally -- I do feel that the ones I meet are as nervous to meet me as I am to meet them - - so informally at least they can let their guard down and admit to the mysteries of the female body. Clomid, I was told, was actually used as a deterrant for pregnancy initially, many many years ago - - now how wrong was that? LOL I wish you a wonderful scan and happy sighting :) Also, the drunken chap - what a loser! I am glad you took it well.

My sunday was a bit wierd Started with my brother telling me he's very pleased about his kids and how so many people wish for what he has...as a prelude to telling me to that I am not getting any younger and why am I not having infertility treatment (ivf perhaps is what he means - not even sure if he knows what that entails), and then topping it off with a babies born to mothers aged 35 and older (I turn 35 in two weeks) tend to have Down syndrome... Strangely enough I had a premonition that while I was visiting with my parents, he would raise these questions and had in mind prepared myself for the onslaught... and I do understand that he's concerned for me and is frustrated that it's been a year and no news yet... Worse he starts off with a 'I've had a chat with my wife about this'.. making me feel horrid that I am being discussed without being included... So then I manage to hold the conversation without falling apart... and then have DH get all worked up about this and also tell me to promise to have no sweets when I am visiting my parents - and it's isn't over yet... I manage to go for my run and have a group of perhaps drunken kids yell 'Run, fattie, run' and when I didn't respond - follow up with a 'Oye, you fattie in the pink'.....
Suffice to say garden - I was sober but I was still shattered... Tough sunday though I did complete my run and stuck to my diet. I will lose this weight and I will get pregnant.

highheels your day sounds promising :)

Oh and flick could you please readjust my CD days to 15 on TUESDAY. I am one day ahead on the list. Thank you :) Best of luck with your appt.

gardenpixie · 06/09/2010 10:15

Hi womanly just saw your post and had to reply despite work things.

I can't BELIEVE your weekend. Are you OK? So sorry your brother was insensitive - it's not like we don't have enough pressure on us to get pg without other people discussing it and worrying on our behalf. I am sure they were only doing it because they care about you but it's a rubbish way to behave.

And as for the idiots in the park Angry Angry Angry

I for one think you are amazing for doing so much exercise and sticking to it. You are already doing so well with losing weight and it is going to make such a difference.

Big hugs to you and a general fingers up to all idiots who have been mean to frolickers this weekend!

crazybutterflylady · 06/09/2010 10:34

(((hug))) womanly. What can I say other than some people are just pricks. If you want to, you can include your brother (a tiny bit) in that statement, but I am mainly talking about the people when you were out running. I really admire you for not saying anything and keeping going, and for sticking to your diet (I know for a fact that would have had me running to the nearest Haribo retailer).

Ar$eholes. It was amazing how many people used to comment on my sessions with my PT whilst sitting on thier ar$es eating picnics etc. In the end I used to say 'come on then, lets see if you can do it, instead of just sitting there banging your gums'. Used to shut them up - in fact not one person ever agreed to have a go! Says a lot if you ask me.

I hope your brother manages to see how hurtful he could have sounded and contacts you this week to apologise. You poor thing xxx

kkas · 06/09/2010 12:18

womanly sorry to hear you had to go through that. i think you are a very strong woman and i know it will make a difference in your life and you will get pregnant! :) it's alright to have a moan to us if you need to though Sad

lanky glad you had a nice lunch and got the SWI right this weekend.

hi to everyone else... :) guess i better do some work today...

LankyLegs · 06/09/2010 12:41

Crazy Mr Crazy sounds lovely! That is very sweet that he won't let you do any of the cleaning etc! Your time away sounds lovely -bet you are looking forward to that! I think MrLanky will be lovely when I finally get pregnant too - he already goes on about how he won't let me lift a finger when we are expecting - very sweet, I do feel very lucky actually!

Womanly what fcking twats - just ignore the sh*tty little kids - they obliviously were not brought up well - more like dragged up. You are doing sooo well and your posts are so inspirational so well done you for progressing with the diet and exercise. Echoing everything else said - we are here fro you to chat to. Did you manage to get SWI-ing this weekend in light of clomid action? Just think next week you will be away from the mundanity of work and everything and some time away is often helpful at such times.

kkas are you symptom spotting or are you being very good? Hope you had a lovely weekend. I better crack on with work too :(

felicityFlick · 06/09/2010 13:37

Hello Loves,

Just quickly as am shattered and have bad headache so off to bed asap but wanted to send a hug to poor womanly xxxx and also let you know that I'm back from my appointment with rather mixed news.

Firstly the positive, the doctor was really lovely and very thorough. She did a full body examination, a smear (even though I had a normal one a year ago Hmm and an internal scan where she examined my womb and ovaries which was quite cool! She has booked me in for a full set of bloods on day 2/3 of my next cycle(FSH, TSH, Prolactin and some others I can't remember) So I'm really pleased that I am being looked after thoroughly and feel grateful that I am here so that all of these things can be sped through.

The not so good news is that she found a cyst on my left ovary. She says that it may be a cyst that disappears so wants to scan again in 6 weeks to see if it is still there so I have an appointment for October 15th. She also said my right ovary had quite a few small follicles on it. I asked if it was polycystic and she said she wouldn't call it polycystic, but would call it multi cystic as they were small follicles as opposed to bigger cysts like the one on my left ovary. She didn't seem overly worried and kept stressing that it was nothing to worry about and that even if all of my tests come back inconclusive she can give me things to make me ovulate. I feel worried though Confused

Sorry for me, me, me- just wanted to let you know xxx

kkas · 06/09/2010 13:44

lanky no symptom spotting here i'm afraid as there was no successful SWI this month. those who have been around a while will probably remember that DH suffers from stage fright issues and those seem to have been compounded since i made him go to the GP last month and also since his brother's wife got pg a few months ago and he saw how hard it was on me... am trying to be positive about it and take the pressure off of sex - just a phase, etc. his dr prescribed the magic purple pills for this month (which were expensive!!!) but even they didn't work. i think it's more in his head as he can physically get it up just seems to have lost his mojo (despite me trying all the tricks - believe me i have tried them all), which then makes him worried he will lose it again - a viscious cycle. it has been an issue ever since we started TTC (and a few times before that) but not as bad as the past 6 weeks and actually it really is worrying me and is getting to be hard on our relationship. really thinking of calling up RELATE. any one had any experience with couples counselling? sorry for the TMI!
