Sorry - clearly I'm too tired to check for typos...

MummyAbroad · 16/09/2010 15:13

Hi Girls,

It has been three weeks since my last confession...

Symptoms spotted:

super vivid dream last night
feeling VERY tired
cried for very little reason yesterday
crampy pains on and off (I love these! so much easier to convince myself I am preggas with these)
blood pressure is very low (feel as if I deserve points for originality for this oneWink )

Fertility friend says I ovulated 8 days ago, I think 6, I will confess now I am testing everyday too (dont ask since when Blush )

Cant believe how all consuming this has become, I hate myself for only wanting to talk to DH about fertility stuff and spending so much time online looking up MORE information.Confused When I got pregnant in January I was so relaxed about it that I didnt do a test until 3 WEEKS after I missed my period!

I think I need slapping with a large wet fish now!!

thanks for listening!

Sillyness · 16/09/2010 16:16

Mummyabroad- i still love cramping pains (twinges) and even rub my belly as if to encourage implantation! Blush

i am totally subscribing to the bollocks! eating a grapefruit every morning and have stocked up on brazil nuts for as soon as i've OVd! Grin

sorry owl cross posted

but I think MummyA could do with the extra fish! Wink

Wombat33 · 16/09/2010 16:43

Oooh mummyA fx!!! It would be VERY hypocritical of me to fish slap anyone else for over testing given the number of sticks I've used in the last couple of months, but I might just stand on the sidelines and giggle at the shark and fish guts GrinGrin

loola2shu · 16/09/2010 17:15

HHello lovely ladies! Hope everyone is well, went back to work today and I'm actually OK! Crazy that not crying feels like an achievement! I've also got an interview for another job tomorrow so I think that?s helped!

Wombat fx that it?s a BFP very soon, its a funny old feeling seeing that stick isn't it x

Eeeeeh what are you like MA! (Although it all sounds very encouraging! Wink )

NICKSTER I can't believe that BMW man! Hope they gave him what for!

Dach Hope that you've bought emergency renovation chocolate and wine by now!

Silly Hi! Sorry you're hear but you're in the right place, these lovely ladies really make it less awful

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 16/09/2010 19:10

Oooh mummyabroad - some promising symptoms going on there! I feel honour-bound to hurl a large slimy mackerel at you, obviously, but am secretly cheering on the incessant POAS-ing and hoping for some good news Grin

Glad you had a better day today loola, sometimes it's just a case of taking it a day at a time, and yes, every day we do get through without breaking down is an achievement sometimes. I think as time goes on it does get a bit easier but we all still have bad days sometimes. Fx the interview goes well for you tomorrow.

I'm on cd7 today and the CBFM asked for its 1st test stick, so am just hoping for a more normal cycle this month - would be nice just to be in with a chance!

MummyAbroad · 16/09/2010 19:22

Thanks Dach and owl I think that double whammy did the trick. I'm feeling much saner now.

loola congrats on making it through the day. I am feeling a small sense of achievement myself for having been back to a playgroup I have avoided since pregnancy. Saw a lot of bumps and babes and got a lot of surprised glances at my non pregnant belly - but I didnt cry either!

nickster - BMW driver is a wanker, loving your lack of guilt Grin

sillyness I have been doing belly rubbing tooBlush

MummyAbroad · 16/09/2010 19:23

I deserved that well aimed mackeral too

nickstermum · 16/09/2010 19:28

Hello my gorgeous lady chat chums!

MummmmmmmyA WHAT are you LIKE? Grin i think u smell fishy enough! Hey i have tingly boobs and scary veins and i dont think i have even ov'd ha ha! I can say nothing i have been POAS'ing for england and i have yet to interpret one successfully!

Heres the latest in the bmw saga.... are we all sitting comfortably children?

...... police rang me to question whether in fact it was a BMW......! The license plate given matches something different. GAH! Thankfully i remembered the witness saying "bloody arrogant BMW drivers" otherwise i think i may have been going slightly mad Shock So- either its a plate transfer as of course it was a private plate, and its not yet registered or its poss a fake reg, uninsured car. The wee piglets have marked it though and will continue to chase!

I had a grapefruit for breakfast, plus also a glass of the juice. F*Me its RANK..oh the sacrifices Grin better when mixed with fresh orange.

Seeing my very fat Shock pregnant friend last night helped also, talked alot, cried a bit and it was nice. I was scared i would hate her!

loolamadam glad things are seeming better for you, am sure it comes and goes. still does with me.

I think i def ovd at the weekend just gone, but i think we wont have caught the eggy... hurry up AF RTD..... then i can properly get on with it.

Dachs hope you are feeling ok, and manage to find somewhere comfy in amongst the building site... to get your feet up :)

nickstermum · 16/09/2010 19:31

Cross posts MA

WELL DONE on making it back to baby group.. and surviving the stares. I went to playgroup last friday and i was delightedsurprised at the lack of bumps - thankfully. My DS nursery have glanced at said belly a couple of times, thankfully saying nothing!

MummyAbroad · 16/09/2010 19:36

its x post crazy right now!

Nickster (I always want to write "knickersmum" but have managed not to so farGrin)

Yeah, I prefer silence too, I did meet a "new mum" who asked if I only had the one child. Managed a terse "Yes" and left it at that. Its like walking through a mine field isnt it?

nickstermum · 16/09/2010 19:48

Hey Pissystrip (mummyA)
Call me whatever you like Grin

Absolutely! I got collared at the head-orifice today. "Hows DS? So you'll be having some more soon, right?" several times! managed to hold it together, (did sadly crack to the one person who has MC and gone through menopause at 28 and eventually adopted...but that was ok-ish)

Stick your nose in the air, like you just dont care!

nickstermum · 16/09/2010 19:49

that would be pissystrips (aka poas a lot!)

MummyAbroad · 16/09/2010 19:56

Grin might be a name change coming on!

I shall remember to hold my head up a bit higher next time it happens!

nickstermum · 16/09/2010 20:15

Grin wish me luck for baby group tomorrow - day off, cant wait Smile..hope DS is in a better mood tomor.

MamaPower · 16/09/2010 22:07

me me me alert!
Went to see doc and am finally being given blood tests for LPD!! hoooragh! Poor GP was a 50+ lady locum who probably thought writing the path request was gonna be easier than me bursting into tears!! Downside was she had no Gynae knowledge or idea about LPD so I need to call the Phlebotomy team or EPAU nurse to find out exactly what day to test! They say 7dpo but assuming I ov within 24hrs of detecting LH surge and I count that then as my ov day, does that count as day 1 or is it the day after???? Answers on a postcard!

Hi Silly and welcome, sorry you are having to join us.

Waves to everyone else x

Wombat33 · 16/09/2010 22:24

Yey Mamap that's good news!

Well done on the nursery/playgroup visitng Knickers and Pissystrips GrinGrin and good luck for baby group tomorrow.
Treading the fine line with people is really difficult. Had a friend/colleague today comment that she had thought my floaty dress yesterday might mean I was pg, and I think I've already mentioned on here the unforuntate timing of my mum's friendly lecture last Thursday on not leaving it too long before I start a family... she has no idea we're TTC or that I'd miscarried 3 days earlier, obviously...

Loola WD for not crying today! You're one up on me on that score [humm]

Hello to everyone else!!

LadyBee · 16/09/2010 22:53

Izzy thanks for your lovely post about age gaps. I'm sure DS will be fine with whatever happens (or doesn't), it's my plans/hopes being dashed that I think is where the pain comes. I just need to come to terms with my 'family planning' being not 'planned' as much as 'hoped for'.

MummyAbroad please tell me these are internet cheapies you're using to test so early. Grin

BTW I can say 'snap' to 4/5 of your symptoms

super vivid dream
feeling VERY tired
crying
crampy pains

Don't know what my blood pressure is though Smile
Still reckon I'm NOT pregnant - just don't think DH's swimmer (or my egg) will have lasted long enough. Soooo just being a bit menkul over here for the sake of it.

Loola hope the interview goes well tomorrow? are you really keen on it?

MamaPower do you temp? do you think you've ovulated yet? If not I'd start temping now and start looking for a rise. Then take the midpoint between first +ve OPK and temp rise as Day 1. Or just count the day after first OPK +ve as Day1 - it's unlikely to be more than a day out and I wouldn't think that would make too much difference.

MummyAbroad · 17/09/2010 02:36

LadyB Yeah, they are cheapies.

Scarily just read a thread about using OPK's as HPT's and I have a megapack of those I could start working my way through too... Grin

I envy you being convinced you are not preggas, that way you expect the BFN but get a lovely surprise if you are. Wish I could get in that mindframe. (I really am going quite mental now, something to do with 2 2WW's back to back I think)

I am with you on the age gap thing, my DS is two years and four months. I have packed away the "I'm a Big Brother" book I had bought him Sad. There IS a plus side though, when I got pregnant in January I was bricking it about how I would cope with two so young, and frantically whizzed through potty training and moving to a big bed. With that all done now hopefully there will be a lot less stress. (but make it soooooon, for both of us!!!)

wombat hope you had a good comeback for floaty dress woman - cheeky cow!("Do those spots mean you are on your period?")

mamaP hooooray for old lady locums! I am new to fertility awareness stuff, but just recently I had EWCM followed by a temp shift three days after positive OPK. I agree with ladyB, do as much cross reference checking as you can rather than rely solely on OPK. Go get your hands dirty (so to speak)Confused

loola Good luck! FX for you.Smile

Still no sign of BOA?

Jamface · 17/09/2010 07:58

Hi Ladies, I've been lurking around but haven't felt I have much to contribute as I'm being driven MAD by the lack of AF. Just spot, spot, spotting for nearly a week. Been taking preg tests every few days, all BFNs but not surprised as I know I'm not. Been for acu again but that hasn't shifted anything. Going to the doctors this morning to see what she says, probably nothing. This wait is just agonising. I can't do anything until I get the bloody (pardon the pun) thing and then move onto my next cycle Sad

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 17/09/2010 08:07

jamface ((((hugs)))). Hope you get some sense out of the doctor today, it is crap when you just feel like you're in limbo and can't move on Sad

MummyAbroad · 17/09/2010 13:30

from me too JamFace I went through the same thing, for a very long time, its awful. I definitely think you are doing the right thing going to the doctors anything that you can do to make you feel a bit more in control.

You WILL get there in the end though! No one carries on spotting forever! xxxx
