YRMOTB Hello! didnt see you there! Yes, I am well thanks. 3 lovely days on the beach far from computers and test sticks, did me lots of good but I have missed you all and am eager to get back to being obsessedGrin!

I am feeling utterly convinced that I have ovulated nowSmile, 5 high temps in a row and EGCM all gone. Mind if I join you on the Two Week Whinge then? This will be my second in a row Blush 'cos the doc told me I was ovulating ages ago (tsk tsk what does he know?Wink).

Dach MORE GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

loola2shu · 13/09/2010 15:10

Just a quick visit to wish dach good luck Hope everything goes well x

DachshundsRule · 13/09/2010 16:43

Just back. Thanks for all the good wishes.

It's a very undignified process! SWI is definitely better...

I think all the good wished may have worked. I'm not going to tell DH what they said about his swimmers, on the basis that it will make him very big headed and smug!

So now officially on the 2WW.

Hope you guys are all well, and good luck to all. Hugs to all the need them.

Can't do a really long post as want to be as flat as possible so swimmers have the best chance, but will keep you posted!

xxx

LottieCrump · 13/09/2010 17:13

Dachs that sounds very positive. Really really hope that the magic is going on as we type.
How do you feel? X

MamaPower · 13/09/2010 17:26

Dachs I am willing those swimmers on for you Grin xx Just had really dodgy visual image of us stood round your bed cheering you on with pom poms whilst you had your bum on a pillow and legs against the wall!!

Jamface · 13/09/2010 17:28

Good luck dachs! Everything is crossed for you x

DachshundsRule · 13/09/2010 17:33

thanks lottie and jamface

mamap lol! A cheerleading group for swimmer encouragement, interesting notion :)

Why is everything to do with this so uncomfortable? The drugs are nasty, the procedure is uncomfortable and the legs in the air thing isn't that great either.

A little light relief in the form of you guys cheerleading around the bed might be welcome Wink

Go swimmers, go!

kat2504 · 13/09/2010 17:35

Good luck dachs hope the next two weeks pass quickly for you and you get the bfp at the end of it

izzy sorry to hear about your dog.

Haven't been on here in a little while, not much to report. Clean bill of health from GP today so ready to try again in earnest now :)

MA hope you have ov'd. Think I'm supposed to on Wednesday (hope so, that would mean cyle back to normal) so I will also be two week whinging soon I hope.

Contributing a large tray of chocolate doughnuts to the thread - hope you enjoy them!

DachshundsRule · 13/09/2010 17:38

ooooh yum.

thanks kat

loola2shu · 13/09/2010 18:18

Another quickie as should be doing bath/bedtime run with the dcs... just had a flash back... Dach when I had iui they told me to also swi that night if poss as more can only increase chances!

DachshundsRule · 13/09/2010 18:33

loola hmm.. not a bad plan

i'll jump DH when he gets in and demand more of his swimmers. (He may be a little bemused, but it'll be worth it in the end Wink )

MummyAbroad · 13/09/2010 19:08

where do I stand?

Kat Glad you got good news from the GP!Smile

nickstermum · 13/09/2010 20:41

Evenin' all!

Forgive me for being a bit of a thicko (and i do feel a bit of a twat writing this - but its only cos i have had a busy day todya and cant think straight!)

Dachs have you had your follies harvested today, With you saying you have a 2 WW now that has confused me!! SORRY for being a dumbo. Blush sorry i cant keep up :( (Got into my head the IVF procedure and i think thats whats mixing me up somewhat!

Kat fab on the clean bill of health. We too SWI last night still a bit sore but quite good to get back into the saddle as it were.

Seriously thinking about getting the grapefruit juice in, I seem to be getting back to normal internally/down there so heres hoping for some more action!
Mamap have done the internal, actually found it and gladly didnt lose my arm! Think it needs to be done daily to see a diff.

No SW for me for a few days DH has been laid up being a vomiting veronica :( and boy oh boy dont i know it!

Waves to everyone else PV hope you are feeling a little less like death warmed up now :) but that it was worth it Grin

Lovin' the new thread hairy.... gonna be skint by the end of the week :)

DachshundsRule · 13/09/2010 21:03

nickster - it's IUI rather than IVF, so they insert his swimmers into me, rather than taking my eggs out.

Hope your DH gets better soon and you can resume SWI!

LadyBee · 13/09/2010 22:22

Hi

MummyAbroad nice to see you back, hope the break was restful. I like your theory about meltdowns. I reckon I'm letting out grief for both my MCs this time around. I cried only a little in the week I actually MCed most recently, but have had several huge meltdowns, one last night, and it does feel like it Needs to come out.

Wish I had your certainty re ovulation Grin. Thought I had. But have had a couple of right-hand sharp twinges and now am wondering whether this is my body having a late go. Just in time for DH to be away for work for a couple of days nights. Confused

Dachs good luck! I really hope this cycle works for you, but we'll be here if it doesn't to pick you back up and cheer you through another for as long as you want.

Wombat33 · 14/09/2010 10:36

Morning all. Dachs glad it went well. I'm joining the bedside swimmer cheerleading club in spirit from my desk at work :)

Nickstermum - glad you're getting back in to the swing of things. I take it you've managed to pursuade your DP that it's all okay now?

We've tried again too. Now I'm worried we re-stared too early as each time it caused a bit more bleeding when I thought it had stopped sorry if that's TMI!!). But things do seem to be totally stopped now (I hope) so I'll give it a couple of days and try again. Re-started temping and ov testing over the weekend so fingers crossed my body will get back into gear asap. Am going to do another HPT tomorrow morning to check it's totally BFN. Still feeling a bit down though and as you can tell, struggling to concentrate at work. Still, it's only been a week.

Glad you got good news from the GP Kat

Izzy don't think I said it before but I'm really sorry about your dog. I hope you're managing to cope okay with that on top of everything else.

Mummyabraod good luck on the 2WW!

LadyGoneGaga · 14/09/2010 10:59

Hello. Was wondering if I can come in? I miscarried naturally last weekend at 7 weeks. Am feeling very sad but want to get on and try again soon if I can and lovely to have other people who've been through it.

This would have been my second DC, have one DS aged 2.

Hope you're doing ok, hon. Am v.impressed on the SWI'ing! I'm still off work, maybe for another week.

Wombat33 · 14/09/2010 11:30

Lady I'm so pleased (not the right word, but a more appropriate one fails me at the moment) to see you as I have been thinking of you a lot. I've been checking back on our antenatal thread regularly to see how you are doing and I just posted on the 'what's the latest advice on TTC' thread on the miscarriage page for you too. Big hugs. I'm so so sorry that you have ended up here, but the ladies here have been amazingly supportive and I'm sure they will help you too.

The SWI so soon is my way of trying to get over the loss (that and eating a TON of chocolate biscuits). Not sure if we started again too soon really but it is helping emotionally and hopefully won't have done any harm physically.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/09/2010 12:04

Thanks Wombat. It's vile isn't it. Never thought we would both end up here when we blithely jumped onto the April bus. Thought miscarriage was something that happened to "other people". But c'est la vie. Apparently. I actually feel fairly calm at the moment, think I did the worst of my wailing and sobbing and raging when I was bleeding and afraid I would lose baby, and then the day it was confirmed at the hospital. Since then I've been veering between moping and bitter and blackly comic. Not sure what it is all about but perhaps this is a natural reaction?

How is your DP coping with it all? I keep forgetting about mine to an extent, I know he is sad too but they don't have the immediate hormone crash and bleeding issues to deal with at the same time.

I hear you on the comfort eating. Not only am I now not pregnant but also a stone overweight. Brilliant.

owlshoes · 14/09/2010 12:12

Morning lovelies!

(don't worry, LadyG I'm not stalking you but welcome to our 'umble fred, t'was my first home when I arrived on MN) :)

Wombat you have biscuits too? Everyone on all the threads seems to have chocolate biscuits this morning. I could eat a packet on my own, I am starving. Also, yikes at the bleeding - hope that stops soon, it's shite not knowing what your body is up to, isn't it :(

dachs hope you are not still standing on your head/lying upside down/whatever it is you do post IUI (go swimmers! go swimmers!)

nicks hope you don't catch the horrible barfing illness off DH. Being sicked on is a right passion-killer. Grin

Astonishing news from the OwlHouse - this morning as he was leaving for work Mr Owlshoes actually said "right; we need to shag tonight don't we, if we're going to get you pregnant?" - I nearly fell over with shock.

This means one of three things: 1. he's reading my rantings on here without me knowing 2. he's found the CBFM I'm hiding in the bathroom or 3. the forcefeeding of pumpkin seeds has worked.

loola2shu · 14/09/2010 12:19

Well WTF cycle officially over! AF arrived half an hour ago, at least my body is getting back to normal, just need my emotions to catch up! Apologies no personals- I'll try to catch up later.

ladygone hope you arent dressed in a steakfrock like your namesake today. Sorry to see you on here, good place to be. Bitter and darkly comic is NORMAL! As is resentment, sadness, ANGER, and all those emotions that usually arent considered normal... I think we are all perfectly justified to feel them!!! (and we do)

Dreading this week. Have to attend a meet at Ho, all my 5 close team mates know, one is heavily PG :( have warned her i dont know how i will react being sat next to her for 8 hours!!! (will prob end up cuddled up to her bump or something hideous!)

Dachs thanks for the clarity - i didnt know what IUI was! Hope they swim their socks off and burrow deeply :)

I seem to have developed full blown acne! Skin wasnt great when i conceived, its just hideous now :( red spots as well. Have never had spots - GAH! Talk about a confidence knocker... any tips for them please help :)

Fondant How are you lovely? Everything ok?

Jamface · 14/09/2010 12:38

Morning everyone,
Welcome ladygone, I'm really sorry to hear your loss. It's a horrible, horrible thing to happen and it's normal to feel all over the place, but hopefully you'll get some support and comfort from this thread.
ladybee and ma know what you mean about delayed meltdowns. Termination in Feb was awful, crying all the time, understandable. Then when I miscarried in June I felt OK at the time, thinking it was better than losing a baby at 19 weeks. I thought I was dealing with it OK and it was only maybe 5 weeks later that I crashed with the unfairness of it all. Slowly picking myself up now but still good days and bad, you all know how it is.
After my second WTF cycle post m/c I've started spotting so am really hoping I'll be able to update our list with the arrival of my AF. Then I can start again!? Agnus Castus, Grapefruit juice, saucy underwear Wink, whatever it takes, here I come!!
