loola chicca I'm so sorry you are going through the mill, as others have said it will get better.
It will never go away but as days go by it becomes a little easier to live with.
You have found a wonderful bunch of inspiring laydees who know where you're coming from.

Welcome back Bee! I'm going to head over to the list of ridiculousness to see if I can contribute anything. Happy Saturday everyone x

MamaPower · 11/09/2010 13:16

Morning!

Contribution to list made Blush!

Hi Loola, sorry you're here but it's a great supportive thread. oh that reminds me to say...are the newbies adding themselves into the list? please do when you feel ready Smile

YRMOTB I did and your welcome. Is it next weekend?

LadyB Lovely to see you back. Hoping your lust ends in a positive result Smile.

Nicks Hi honey Smile. Right then, as promised and because I posted this on the other thread yesterday...Cervical examination; Insert your finger as far as possible...you should find a lump that's kind of nose shaped and your cervix is located here. During the follicular phase of your cycle you are looking for the teeniest tinyest little dimple (no bigger than the head of a spot)! As you move into the luteal phase this dimple starts to get slightly bigger and softer. Let me know how you get on! btw it also rises in your fertile period so don't be afraid if half an arm vanishes up there Grin grin] Grin Ewwwwwww! now I have an image...hum maybe I won't go there!!

Have a lovely weekend all x

MamaPower · 11/09/2010 13:22

PS I'm certain someone said they had a MIL in Birmingham that practiced acupuncture?? Can I have details please? Had it many years ago for a spinal problem and found it very effective, now want to see if someone can help with my LPD issue! thanks.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 11/09/2010 13:35

On a similar note, if anyone can recommend a good acupuncturist in or around Bristol, pref with an interest in fertility, I'd love to hear...

Going to post and run for now I'm afraid, having a shite day. It's our wedding anniversary and so far today the dog has died Sad This has not been my best year so far...

DachshundsRule · 11/09/2010 14:12

I have one thing to say.

Grrrrrrr.

Not happening until Monday. One follie the right size, everything else ok, but they want to give the other follie a chance to catch up, so I'm booked in for 2.30 on Monday.

So it's good to know that I am definitely booked in this time, but it means DH will be at work rather than able to take me home and pamper me afterwards, and we have the building work starting on the house on Monday, so lots of noise and dust and not exactly a restful place to go home to.

Was SO hoping it would be today :(

izzy I'm really really sorry you're having such a shit day. It must be awful . Hope things get better soon.

MamaPower · 11/09/2010 14:15

Oh Izzy, how awful!! Sorry to hear that, big hugs. BTW I used to live in Brizzle and I grew up in a tiny village called Wedmore nr to cheddar. Do you know it? I get so homesick sometimes, but my folks still live in Somerset for now so I do get to go home quite a bit and quite a few friends in bris. Are you going to a nice restaurant for anniv. dinner? I am obsessed with Sands and have been for about a decade...mmmmmm! All that nostalgia made me wanna come home :(

MamaPower · 11/09/2010 14:19

Dachs x posts, grrrrrr indeed especially as I bet you had yourself all psyched up. Is there any family/friends you can go to after your apt. on monday? Going home without dh and being surrounded by builders bums, noise and dust doesn't sound like a good recipe for stress free r&r! xx

nickstermum · 11/09/2010 14:28

IzzY God im so sorry your dog has died Sad i hope you are ok xxxxx

I spend quite abit of time in brissle too! Head office down there, so normally shacked up in a hotel down there. Will ask some of my compatriots!

Dachs anywhere else you can go? somewhere you can go to put up your feet?

MamaP cheers babes, now i will feel a right wally thinking my hand will pop out my mouth ah ha hahahahahahaha !!!!
Give it a whirl sometime...
mm off to look at the ridiculousness list :)

Velvetcu · 11/09/2010 14:58

Aww Izzy sorry about your dog. I don't know how I'm going to function when the day comes for my one. She is my baby!

Quick hello to all - hope you are all ok :)

BackOnceAgain · 11/09/2010 15:45

Hi just a quickie to say hi to all. Smile
So sorry about your dog Izzy Sad

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 11/09/2010 18:32

Hello again all, thanks for your messages, you are all so lovely . I am gutted, of course, but also a bit relieved on his behalf because he was very old and has been very poorly for some time now. Had lost so much weight, not eating at all this week and seemed completely disorientated, poor thing. So DH took him to the vet this morning, and there was nothing they could do Sad but we couldn't watch him suffer any more. 'Tis horrible though and DCs are very upset, and it's really odd without him here (he was my first baby -we had him before the DCs - so they've always had him around). Just seems like we're lurching from one disaster to the next at the minute.

dachs that must be really disappointing when you're all psyched up, but at least you know it'll be Monday. Will be cheering on those follicles, along with MrHT's swimmers of course! Smile

mamapower we're just north of Bristol but I've been to Wedmore, it's a lovely part of the country. Was going to do the posh dinner tonight but sadly no babysitters. I do have a bottle of champagne stashed away, which now seems somewhat inappropriate, and my parents are coming over later, so might get out for a quick drink but suspect that is as far as we'll get.

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

loola2shu · 11/09/2010 22:57

Hi ladies,

You're such a lovely bunch!

I feel a lot better today, although tbh I was fine last week until I went into the office!

I've had a lovely afternoon, it was my mils 60th and we (15 family and friends) had a posh (& boozy) afternoon tea in a beautiful country manor hotel, gorgeous weather and was lovely just to 'chillax' while the dcs played in the grounds.

Sorry in advance for personals, have a terrible memory, so can only go as far as I can currently see on the screen!

caribou Hope you've got your feet up! Very interested in the ac as I have very irregular af due to PCOS, what is the daily dose?

dach Very frustating about the IUI, but I suppose the 2 follies on Monday is giving you double the chanceof the one today !

Grumpy I can sympathise on the Clomid side effects, blardy awful! Especially the hot flushes!! Actually as it happens I have been getting hot flushes for last 3/4 days, wonder what thats all about!

Nick MMMM lasagne! Hopefully its just your tea in your mouth and not your hand Wink

Ladyb Think the 2 ill time-ders should do the trick just as well as 1 well time-der!

youremindme I've been x-factoring tonight too! Thought that 16 yo was fab, so pleased he eventually got through!

Hairy Love the list thread!

PV Balloons to collect? Sounds interesting

Mamap Loving the tutorial!

iZZY Soo sorry to hear about your dog. It's devastating when you lose a dear loved pet. Hopefully thats the end of your bad luck! Only good things for you from now on!

Anywho, think its time for bed!

PrettyVacant1 · 12/09/2010 09:33

< lifts arm from under duvet and weakly waves >
So this is what a badgers arse tastes like.
I am possibly still pissed actually.
You'd think at the age of 31 I would remember that mixing drinks is not a good idea.
Obviously not.

Izzy I am so sorry to hear about your dog, good luck will be coming your way soon x

Loola glad you're feeling a little better, go easy on yourself .
Afternoon tea sounds rather poesh. :)
We also had a 60th , party last night hence the gob like a Turkish urinal wall and random photos on Bookface.
Another lesson learnt there too.
I need coffee and Bacon.
Back laters when I've sobered up and making more sense x

CaribouMoo · 12/09/2010 10:13

Sorry to hear about your pooch Izzy. Its incredible how attached you get to your family pet, they are just like part of the family. I am ashamed to say I have been more upset at the passing of some of my house rabbits than some relatives.

PV I noticed this morning you were on FB at 4 in the morning! Didn't expect to see you on here so soon. PCs only heighten my hangovers. Away and get your bacon buttie - you might need a curer later :)

Loola I take two tablets a day from Holland and Barratt. I noticed someone posting on the 'list of ridiculousness' thread to be careful with AC as its like taking clomid without anyone prescribing it. All I know is that it sorted out my erratic cycles. From what I've heard it can be used for PCOS but maybe you should speak to a herbalist first?

Dachs hope you're managing to be patient and that all is well on Monday.

Sarahmia I don't know if you're lurking about but I wanted to say I've been thinking about you and hope you are alright x

Jamface · 12/09/2010 12:33

Hi all,
Izzy I'm sorry to hear about your dog. It is indeed very sad when family pets die. They experience so many different eras with us, so no wonder we feel their loss greatly. They are one of the family.
Loola and Caribou I am still ploughing my way to the end of my horribly long cycle but have high hopes for AC from next cycle on. Caribou I'm planning on taking it from day 1 to when I ovulate. Is that what you did? I have bought a tincture which I read gets absorbed and so goes to work quickly. Although, from what I have read it sounds so strong/effective I am going to talk to my GP first and just check they can't think of any reason why I shouldn't. I don't have PCOS and my cycle before termination and then mc was regular as clockwork so I'm hoping it should sort me out.
Dachs best of luck for tomorrow.
x

owlshoes · 12/09/2010 12:55

MrsPV nooooo you didn't mix. Always disastrous. Get thee to a greasy spoon, sharpish. Bacon cures all ills (or failing that a fried egg sandwich usually does the trick).

I shall be deeply disappointed if you haven't sent at least one ill-advised drunken text message on your shiny noo phone Grin

Welcome back LadyBee !

Izzy :( for your dog & I hope you've been able to enjoy your wedding anniversary.

I am also from the Brizzle area altho' have moved away - you never really leave, though, do you :)

DachshundsRule · 12/09/2010 13:19

:( not having a good day

Just spent AGES writing a post and then the sodding router got unplugged by DH and lost it all... :(

All of you consider yourself greeted personally, thanks for the good wishes and hope all of you get a sticky bean soon.

which he is

(when he took the dogs to kennels this morning he forgot to take the steroids one of the dogs is on so he's got to go back later - wouldn't normally matter that he's got to go out again, but we've got loads of clearing in the house to do before the builders start on Monday, and the kennels are more than half an hour away)

Oh Izzy another Bristolian ...and they said MN was full of those from the South East

You over that hangover yet pretty?

Hope you all have a good week x

MummyAbroad · 13/09/2010 02:17

Hi Gang!

I bought back some souvenirs for you!

Just time for a quick post before I crawl into bed...

Izzy so sorry about your dog, thats awful news.Sad

lulu I have a theory about meltdowns,I think there is a finite amount of sorrow/anger/pain that has to come out after a big trauma. You can do it the slow way and cry a little everyday, or have one or two large episodes and speed up the process. SmileConfused Dont be afraid to keep letting it all come out, it really will help you heal quicker. xxxxx

Dach GOOD LUCK!!! I will be waiting for your news with bated breath. Smile

appleblossoms Thanks for the cbeebies info, I will get to downloading staight away! (bloody sick of waybuloo and timmytime now)

Ladybee welcome back, did you get your ov sticks?

HairyT good luck on the two week wait, I will be sharing it with you - 'cept mine will be more like Two Week Whinging and Testing all the time.Blush
