Wow it has made my day to see such good news here this afternoon. Congratulations cariboumoo Am so pleased to hear your good news. Apart from being obviously very happy, how are you feeling?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 09/09/2010 17:50

choccybick grrr, thats really frustrating. Hope you het a result one way or t'other soon (and obviously hope it's just a late BFP). Try not to let it get you down x

appleblossoms and mummyabroad - hope you both have a great time on your respective holidays Smile

MummyAbroad · 09/09/2010 17:53

Packing is boring, and my son is just unpacking everything as fast as I pack it anyway, so I've come back for a chatSmile

wombat I take it your scan was OK? Its a big decision to TTC again - welcome to the clubSmile fingers crossed you are not in it long (IUSWIM)

IzzyWizzy sorry if it does turn out to be RTD, but you have definitely got the right attitude, I will be taking a leaf out of your book. Happy anniversary xxx

chockybik I had a few days exactly like you described a week or so ago, and will probably be exactly the same two weeks from now. Mad isnt it? I think the fish is reserved for desperately early testing, a day after AF due would have me ripping of that celophane too, so no slapping, just sympathy here. xxxx

MamaPower · 09/09/2010 18:21

Hi all,

Thanks for all your lovely messages, especially to MA for writing such a thoughtful text for me to use! I have to admit I have just completely ignored her!!

RDT arrived and having charted 2 complete cycles now, I think the reason I cannot retain a pregnancy is because I have a 9 day luteal phase! will go to see GP next week to discuss taking progesterone!

caribou I sense from all the congrat's that you have had a lovely BFP (sorry tried to scroll back to find the original message that you must have left but so many couldn't find it!), Big Congratulations!

Right all I know pretty has started a little splinter thread, so I must confess I have too. I am not jumping ship...you don't get rid of me that easily! It's just that I feel the need to also gain support specifically from those in my position ie: those TTC#1 who have yet to fulfil a womans need to become a mum due to mc!
Love this thread and all your support, make no mistake!

For those here TTC#1 who would like to join the new thread as well, click here!

Velvetcu · 09/09/2010 18:36

Congrats caribou :)

youremindmeofthebabe · 09/09/2010 19:15

chocky we wouldn't fish you, you're allowed to POAS at that stage. And we all know how bloody annoying those random cycles are. Your head sounds like mine last week, I've come to terms with mine this week. RTD arrival and wine drinking has helped .Hope you feel better soon.

MA your plan for the break sounds good, emergency plan of chocolate always helps, at least in the short term!

izzy congrats on your wedding anniversary! How long?

waves to all sorry for selective naming, I have limited brain capacity atm.

LottieCrump · 09/09/2010 19:27

Um hello to all that knew me two weeks ago before I went on hols.
And to all that came along whilst I was away (so many whilst a gal goes off for a bit of R'n'R) I say welcome to you and sorry that you have had to find us but this is a super place with lovely, lovely lassies.

I hope I didn't upset or offend anyone with my post earlier - hand on heart, I really didn't mean to ...it's just that it's moving so fast and with so many peeps that I couldn't keep up - I is old, forgive me!

I'll pop in now and again but really need to move over to the slow lane.

Good luck and warmest wishes to all.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 09/09/2010 19:38

YRMOTB - thanks, will be 11 years on Saturday (god, that makes me sound old - in my defence we did get married fairly young!). Last year we managed a long weekend in Rome for our 10th, this year we have no babysitter so it's a 6.30pm meal with the DCs, and back for their bedtimes, and not even a sneaky shag due to imminent arrival of RTD. And so the romance continues...(maybe I am old after all!)

sorry, lottie can't stop sniggering at your last post, it's just like when I wrote an email to a mate referring to him as an "old git" and accidentally sent it to my boss Grin

nickstermum · 09/09/2010 20:07

Evening all. MummyA i find Fudge works just as well in the car Grin esp when i dont want him to sleep...

PV I too understand, hope you are all finding it a bit more peaceful over there, and that you arent cross that we newbies have come to the thread and gone OTTmade it a bit more busy than it was! I have popped in on your new one, just to say hello... but didnt want to intrude. Sad to see you leave, hope you pop in from time to time Grin. I didnt know your history, i was cyber stalkingcaught up in reading the banter between you and your pals! Hope you all enjoy your new 'fred and send lots of sticky bean thoughts.

Its bizarre, in RL i feel like an failurealien, but on here i just wanted to feel a part of a group who were going through the same - and this thread provided it - so thanks to everyone!!

Have to say i quite like this one, everyone here has been so supportive and echoing Izz the banter and giggles have been such a relief from the wankness that is RL at the min!

CARIBOU Grin Grin Grin
Wonderful wonderful news toots - thats just the best! AWESOME! Heres wishing you lots of stickybean-ness and a very uneventful 8 months Grin

CaribouMoo · 09/09/2010 20:10

Thanks for your best wishes girls, it means a lot. Since we started trying for our second baby its been 18 months, one breast lump (fine thanks God), 9 months on this thread ( which I have enjoyed immensely)and 2 MMCs. Surely its around about time for a wee bit of luck?

Kat to answer your question I'm happy and bloody petrified. I wouldn't say excited as rounds 1 and 2 knocked the stuffing out of me. At first I was a bit hacked off that I hadn't waited for the tests but I wasn't convinced at the hospital today that the tests are very thorough so I'm getting over that. All because I couldn't resist the lure of a positive opk, i hope its fate!

Izzy I always feel dead old telling folk how long we've been married. We got married at 25 though so are not that ancient either! Our tenth is in June next year and I had hoped to do something special, just the 2 of us, but would much rather be holding a newborn.

Enjoy the break Mummy, I'm sure where you are it will be gorgeous.

nickstermum · 09/09/2010 20:15

Lottie Classic!! I hope you have recovered from your mortification and come out of the corner!

Mamap dont desert us totally Smile your lessons have been so helpful !

Izz hoping for implantation Grin

BackOnceAgain · 09/09/2010 20:23

Ooo just popped on for a second to see.... Caribooooooooyaaaaaay! Grin

Byeeee

MamaPower · 09/09/2010 20:35

Nicks not going anywhere hon, promise!
Was just needing another space where others understood what it's like to have lost one or more and yet still waiting to get to join the mums club! mc is so saddening and emotional no matter what. I guess the thing is that if you've no children and you want them and you crave something so badly that you've been so close to getting and it's snatched away from you, it's a different situation to those that have DC's already and are dealing with the emotions of wanting more and knowing what mc has taken away from them. Does that make sense?!

Lottiespectacular gaff but it doesn't even matter lovely, we're all in one big boat, and we all just need to survive the roller coaster the best way we can!

Updated the list, I hate being back down the bottom Sad

Damn it Choccy I had high hopes for mother nature not arriving at your door step!

So glad it's friday!!

PrettyVacant1 · 10/09/2010 10:00

Hello luvlies,
How are we all on this fab Friday. Smile

Thank you MA & Izzy for your kind words and support but if it's ok with you lot I'll still float around.
You can't get rid of me that easily Grin

Nickster I'm not cross at all, you are welcome to come over as is anyone.
Thanks for the well wishes too x Smile

I really hope it doesn't look like I've set up a private club as that was never the intention. SmileBlush
I think with so many of us being around together for so long and then we (gladly) had a run of BFP's a few of us felt awkward either catching up on grads or grads coming back and sharing news in the face of newbies that were finding it painful at the time.

Mama has hit the nail on the head, we are all in the
same boat.

Might take a peek at her noo Fred and be a complete board tart. GrinGrin
With the size of my arse, there's enough of me to go
around . Grin

Sorry choccy, maybe next month for the both of us. In the meantime let's chill out and enjoy the holiday cocktails (for you) and anniversary champagne (for me) x

PrettyVacant1 · 10/09/2010 10:10

Sorry Izzy & Choccy for arrival of rusty barsteward.
Enjoy the hol-li-day cocktails and Happy Anniversary Smile

Oh cariboumoo that's fantastic news! Congratulations! :)

Wombat33 · 10/09/2010 11:02

Congratulations caribou!!! Good luck to all though who are waiting and hoping. I poas this morning and it was nearly a BFN. Very weird to be starting at a stick hoping the line does not appear but then the last few days really have turned things on their head a bit. So, I'm nearly there. Sending subconcious vibes to my ovaries to get into gear! In a usual cycle I ov on about CD17 so, let's hope it's a case of 12 days and counting down. In a lot less pain today so hopefully they'll even be a bit of a grace period for some SFF before we get to the serious stuff again Grin

Sorry for no personal messages - am at work, got in late, am about to take a long lunch break to have my 8-week roots dyed back to the colour I wish they still were naturally Blush, so I'd better get some work done!!

Wombat33 · 10/09/2010 11:03

D'oh! All those who are waiting and hoping...

hairytriangle · 10/09/2010 12:03

Just a quick 'hello' to Wombat - bless you, it is a very weird situation to be in! I found it really odd hoping AF would get me sometime soon, as I'd spent months prior to MC/ Ectopic hoping it wouldn't!

I am now in the weird situation of sitting here willing the wrigglers on their little journey, and willing my egg to be in the right place at the right time Grin having spent a good half hour flat on my back this morning!
