I've only got a bit of freezer burnt pollack I'm afraid, if I slapped you with it, it would probably just go limp and sorry in my hands.

So do you lot recommend I POAS then to find out when I'm ovulating?

MamaPower · 07/09/2010 09:04

Choccy this one's for you >

Anyone else need a slap?? I'm on patrol today so watch out!! hee hee!

sfb I use the CB digital Ov sticks, expensive but... Also I have been doing cervical examination, once you have the hang of it you will clearly be able to identify your fertile window! Read towards the start of this thread for my little master class Wink

Have a good day all x

KnitterNotTwitter · 07/09/2010 12:12

Well interesting morning for me... I did a pregnancy test just to check which I should have done when AF was on to be sure I wasn't having another ectopic. and i'm not PG so that is sort of good news... then I forgot to do the ovulation test but that is less important.

I checked with DH and he is keen to SWI this month so that is nice..

And the to top it all off i'm having another bleed today... I think i'll just ignore it to be honest but it's very annoying! Pesky body/hormones/WTF cycle...

Jamface · 07/09/2010 12:20

Hello, just checking in to say hi. No fish in my freezer but I have a couple of fish fingers I could throw chocky.
I had my acupuncture last night and was really hoping that it'd give my body the push it needed to get this AF started but no such luck today. I feel like I've spent the last year or so just waiting... waiting to get period to start ttc again, waiting to be able to do test, waiting for bloomin' up the creek cycle to get going again. Hmm. Anyone else feel like that?
Anyway good news is that tonight I'm going to the cinema to see Girl who played with Fire. Anyone seen it yet? I'm also going to take my life in my hands and take DS to one of those soft play climbing centres to tire him out and guarantee an easy bedtime/escape for us! Smile

nickstermum · 07/09/2010 12:30

Mornin all, jamface yes feeling v frustrated in the same respect as i am WTTC WTF no AF! although in a marginally better mood than last night thanks Kat.

Hey Mamap just cannot get the hangof the examnation. I thought i was ov the other day, all the symptoms, plus also change internally but pee sticks said not - i think i need some tips!

Can anyone tell me what the CBFM will do over & above the normal pee on ovsticks? Going to get one, but DH suggested just pee on sticks instead! Does it do other more beneficial stuff - sorry havent read up on it as i should have!

Much better mood today... :)

Good news (i think knitter about AF/Test. Last thing u want is another ectopic... great news to SWI!

jam acupuncture may take a few days to kick in/kick out toxins etc etc keep me posted, may try!

Jamface · 07/09/2010 12:43

Sorry all but keep seeing 'WTF' and don't know what it means. Some of the acronyms I can work out but struggling with that one Confused

MamaPower · 07/09/2010 12:49

Hi Jam check acronyms list www.mumsnet.com/info/acronyms

they're not all on there but there's a lot. FYI - WTF is What the F*

Nicks Just popping in whilst scoffing lunch will pop in this eve with some info/tips!

littlemiss72 · 07/09/2010 13:22

Hi Ladies, been missing in action all last week. God this tread moves fast!

I had a friend who did acupuncture jam worked a treat and she's now 6months, might try it myself soon Hmm She only went for a couple of months and highly rates it.

Been to the doctors today and have been refered privately to the hospital for further tests, seeing Professor Lesley Regan , Director of the Recurrent Miscarriage Service at St Mary?s anyone know of this.? As I've only had two MC they will not consider this on the NHS - good job I have private healthcare!

SWI has continued Grin no harm to keep trying I say.

No fish slapping needed as yet.. I'm steering clear of them dam sticks.

Love to all x

nickstermum · 07/09/2010 14:29

Interesting point little miss - will your private medical healthcare cover it?

St Marys MCR? If so they are good (well i only have experience of their SCBU, but my friend has exp of their IVF clinic and after 5 attempts and 5 years now has a daughter!)

CaribouMoo · 07/09/2010 15:22

Hello girls. I'm feeling a bit more myself today and not so much of a headcase. Thanks for all your lovely messages and reassurance after my very public meltdown. Jamface your comment about grief not being a linear process is spot on. Its amazing to know I'm not insane and lots of you have been through the same, you are all very kind x Thanks also to old friends clare and Alba for popping on from the grads thread. As soon as I started reading the TTW I figured that's where you got your name Alba, I hadn't realised before then! Thanks for the tip Nickster on the movie to avoid. I watched My Sister's Keeper a few weeks back and have never cried so much at a stupid film!

I think I missed out saying hello to G&T t'other day, sorry about that. Hello to Wombat too, sorry you both find yourselves here.

YRMOTB what's your news - is it indeed a BFP or an evap line? Will have a wee look at your sponsor page in a bit pal. Boo for Tigger and PFF's RTD. BOA I would have been raging about that scenario, especially letting down a little girl. Grrr! SFB I've had 2 ERPCs now and didn't feel uncomfortable after either, hope you are doing better now.

Sarahmia thinking of you today and hoping you are coping and have lots of love and support x MamaP are you having a better day? Izzy I felt the way you did when DD went to nursery a few weeks back in her little t-shirt uniform. I had to call her back to say goodbye then I went home and wept. All very normal behaviour I would say.

PFF that's shit you are having a similar day to mine on Friday. You do feel like a total cow for not just being happy for folk. I know we don't begrudge others getting happy news, its just that it dredges up all manner of painful memories when we are trying to get our lives back together. Hope today was better for you pal, no one at my work mentioned my episode x

Hi Littlemiss I've heard of Lesley Regan of course, sure you will be in good hands. I'm at the NHS receurrent MC clinic on Thurs (after only 2 MCs - postcode lottery and all that). Fingers crossed for us both. Dasch hope you got good news today too

Waves to all the other lovely ladies x

DachshundsRule · 07/09/2010 15:42

Sorry I'm being really crap at the moment about posting and also giving personal messages to people. I'm really not trying to be lazy or not following the thread, it's just that there is so much going on here and I can only dip in for a few minutes during the day, so it's hard to add the more personal touches when I get a few minutes to actually post.

I hope you don't all feel like I'm not being supportive enough :(

Anyway, hugs and chocolate to everyone

Sorry you find yourself here newbies, it's a great place to be.

I have a large pile of haddock. Please line up by the door in order of desperation for fish slapping.

I managed not to murder DH. I did, however, point out to him that, instead of the gourmet meal he decided we needed to cook, spaghetti bolognese was the order of the day so we had that instead.

The clinic said my follies are growing nicely and that they expect the procedure will probably be at the weekend or early next week. Cue me buying lots of ClearBlue ovulation sticks (the ones with the the smily faces. I can't interpret the lines on the internet cheapies or the FR ones). I need to go back on Thursday to see how they're getting on. And then I'll need to inject myself Confused Not looking forward to that!

Sorry some of you are having really crap times at the moment. I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better.

reallygrumpy · 07/09/2010 15:57

hi, just popping in quickly to say littlemiss there was an article about lesley regan in the observer recently, see
<a class="break-all" href="http://m.guardian.co.uk/?id=102202&story=www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2010/aug/22/pregnancy-miscarriage-lesley-regan" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> here

MummyAbroad · 07/09/2010 16:10

Hello All,

Dachs I echo your guilty feelings about not being able to post to everyone, its really hard to keep up and reply to everyones comments, but wait a minute.... Guilt?Shock Better not add any more negative feelings to the ones we already are dealing with! SQUASH SQUASH SQUASH. GUILT BEGONE!! We are all doing the best we can to support each other, no one need apologise for not being super human,Smile

Caribou so glad you are feeling better now. If its any consolation, I felt SO much better after a big meltdown I now look at it as therapy!

Jamface the What the Fuck cycle is the one following mc/ERPC, the one where you dont know what the hell your body is doing yet. The one I am in! Gaaahhhh.

But the good news is: I have felt a soft cervix for the last 3 days running, started doing OPKs twice a day and this morning got my first positive result. Whooo hoooo!!!

xxxxxxxxxxxx

youremindmeofthebabe · 07/09/2010 16:27

Can I get a woop for a BFN and a RTD!
I really am just glad to have another cycle over and done with, even if not BFP, IYSWIM.
So, here's hoping for a slightly more normal cycle next month with ovulation ideally!

caribou good luck at the recurrent MC clinic for Thursday, hope it all goes well.

Glad the catering went well daschs. Glad too that your DH is still alive, it will make ttc easier, I am sureWink

Hello wombat. Hope you can get the support you need from this and other threads ((hugs))

chocky I too find it difficult to contemplate holidays without alcohol, but needs must I suppose. I find it's harder to contemplate than it is to actually do it!

Yay mummyabroad that's brilliant news!

yrmotb glad you're feeling positive despite RTD.

Well as part of my need to feel that I'm doing something constructive about all this I've booked myself a session of acupuncture tomorrow eve....

I've also just tried to add myself to the list but I'm trying to do it on my phone and the technology has outwitted me. If anyone is updating the list soon, please can you add me: reallygrumpy TTC#2 MC 7th July CD3 (clomid D2). It feels v odd putting "TTC#2" because I did conceive #2 but my poor little bean wasn't strong and sticky enough....

dashs glad you got dinner sorted and good news on your follies

MummyAbroad · 07/09/2010 17:03

In my excitement forgot to say to Dachs that I am really pleased for you that there is lots of folicle growth, a few days ago I read the entire part 4 thread and realised all that you had been through before. I so glad you are getting good news now. xxxxxxx

I'm just re-posting the list as I seemed to have lost a day (although I had to consult the CBFM to be sure - all starting to blur into one!). Have also updated choccy because I know she's the same CD as me, but am posting from phone so couldn't go back and check everyone - hopefully it was just us Smile

dachs - great news re follicles!

Am eagerly awaiting more feedback from those of you trying acupuncture, as I might be tempted to give it a go next cycle (yikes!)

Good luck to littlemiss and caribou for upcoming appointments, and of course to all those at the top of the thread now x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 07/09/2010 17:27

Ok so my cut and pasting wasn't perfect and I seem to have hijacked YRMOTB's RTD Blush. No news here!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 07/09/2010 17:28

Oh. And all her name-checking.

DachshundsRule · 07/09/2010 18:25

Have a good evening all x

appleblossoms · 07/09/2010 18:54

Phew.. that works :)

Evening ladies,

Sorry for not catching up properly...

dasch hope the good news continues for you...fx this is the start of your lucky month.

caribou good luck at the clinic, hope it brings some good news.

wombat so sorry to hear your news

YRMOTB and mummyabroad Yey! Tis funny the things that we celebrate these days isn't it?!

Well, I'm still waiting on AF.... due tomorrow based on the longest cycle i've had so far. Just feeling really sorry for myself this evening. Shouted at DH for no reason, even though he came home from work early and tidied the house and is currently in the process of putting ds to bed. He's a superhero, but I just find myself getting so emotional... hopefully it's because AF will appear tomorrow. Have vowed not to POAS early next month as this waiting for the cycle to end, knowing the result, is just rubbish.

Anyway.. moan over. Think I need a fishy slap to wake me up and remind me how lovely things really are...anyone care to oblige? or are they reserved for POAS action only?

Velvetcu · 07/09/2010 18:55

Hello all
