ha, I never even noticed that! I just cut and pasted myself from the list and dumped myself unceremoniously back down the bottom. Have changed it.

velvet don't know about which stick is most sensitive, I guess any of the early tests are OK. Good luck tomorrow!

Hi all, just popping in.

Wanted to say Jolls I'm fucked off with it all too. It basically stinks, doesn't it.

:(

I think I am going through a delayed grieving period so instead of posting lots, I shall quietly lurk, watch my CD go up, and come back when I feel better.

I havd to find some way not to obsess as I can't cope with the emotional rollercoaster.

I feel really, really ANGRY about my blocked tube, and about not ever having chance to TTC til I am forty two, and having to wait for a lap and dye and all that shit. Bollocks to it all.

(rant over)

I second the letter to Santa asking for a sticky bean each before Xmas. Just one each, that's not too much to ask, surely?

tigger15 · 02/09/2010 22:12

I had my appointment to get results this morning. The results are that there's nothing wrong with me.

Options left are:

  1. Laparoscopy but no signs that it would show anything and would probably just be more surgery for no reason
  2. Leave it to the gods
  3. Assisted conception

He then informed me that I wasn't eligible for 3 on the NHS as I already have a child. I'd have to do it privately.

We discussed option 3 a bit but I don't feel ready to try all it entails given I can barely control my diabetes at the moment. Plus I don't fancy spending £4000 on something which might fail.

So I feel like I have nowhere left to go and am completely trapped.

I'm going to hide under my pillow for a month or 3.

MummyAbroad · 02/09/2010 22:16

oh Tigger15, I am so sorry, that sounds like such harsh news. It will probably take you a day or two to digest the information, dont feel you have to rush any decisions.

hugs xxxx

randomimposter · 02/09/2010 22:18

hairy and tigger, a big wine squeeze from the south coast from me. Pants and arse.

Freezingmyarseoff · 02/09/2010 22:24

OMG I'm so behind on the posts that I've not even managed to congratulate Viv yet on a BFP - congrats Smile

MrsPV sorry about your RTD

Sorry jolls and Hairy that you're having crap days. Hugs to you both (and anyone else needing a hug)

Nickster hello! haven't met yet but sorry you're here. Same to Mummyabroad and BOA

Tigger A big squeeze for you, not great news to hear

I haven't got a chance of properly catching up with you lot. We've just moved to my parents for a couple of months while our house is being destroyed extended by the builders. Only trouble is broadband is a bit dodgy here, and mobile reception is pretty shite too so communications will be poorly for a while. Will try to lurk from some coffee shops when I can.

getawiggleon · 02/09/2010 22:25

Just very quickly dropping in to offer Jolls, Hairy and Tigger extra hugs Hope you're all feeling better soon :)

Struggling to keep up with thread (again!) Still waiting for AF post ERPC so will prob lurk until she arrives.

Oh, and (naive question) what does rtd stand for?!

hairytriangle · 02/09/2010 22:28

Tigger I too was given those exact options. Except I have no children already and I'm not eligible for NHS funded Assisted Conception as I'm over the age limit (even though I don't have any age-related fertility problems - grrrrrr)

I do have a blocked tube though.

They gave me the same three options, except option 2 could mean another ectopic.

So I am on the waiting list for the lap, and I have it in the back of my mind that if I'm not up-duffed by Xmas, I'll pay for IVF.

Shit, isn't it.

hairytriangle · 02/09/2010 22:31

wiggles that's sweet of you :)

I think RTD is red tide of death.

nickstermum · 02/09/2010 22:36

Evening everyone. Cripes its so busy on here i dont know where to start.

To everyone who feels totally facked off - Great big cuddles

Waves at everyone who i havent yet met! HI!

mamap what a lovely thought. Ihope you spoilt yourself rotten (and DH doesnt have a heart attack when he sees the bill) Grin

hairy .. rant away. Hope it makes you feel better. Certainly works for me! Im sorry you feel so crap Sad

tigger Big Hugs to you also.

PinkFondantFancy · 02/09/2010 22:50

Hello all! Was busy at work today and there's been lots of chat on here today while I was away!!

mamapower ok no more testing for now. When can I POAS again assuming rtd doesn't catch me? Tuesday? I love the idea of your pandora bead, that is so sweet! Hope you had a good day shopping.

YRMOTB I am loving it on our sofa and throwing smarties at people, it has cheered me right up! Trouble is we're running low on smarties as I keep eating them all....

BOA soo not funny about the "you've lost weight!" that is a complete shocker!! Definitely good for you for laughing and not crying!!

Hugs to all the people having shite days today, I hope tomorrows better for you all.

tigger15 · 02/09/2010 22:52

Hairy that sounds worse. My friend who's already going down the ivf route as she doesn't want to wait 3 yrs on the nhs told me there's cheaper clinics. It just seems so stark and final and I can't get my head round it.

To make a good day better I've just poured a kettle of boiling water over one hand trying to clean a chicken which might have salmonella because my MIL told us that someone in Manchester died of it after eating something at a function done by caterers of the same name as producers of the chicken. If it was the egg that did it I'm not so worried but they haven't released details yet.

clareanna · 02/09/2010 23:01

Big hugs to tigger jolls and hairy

izzy not sure if this is any help, but i was a bit of a cbfm fanatic (loved all the poas action). I'm pretty sure i didn't ov for the first 2 cycles following my erpc. I just got highs and no peaks. It had me pee on 20 sticks for the first cycle I used it (ucl 36days) but the third month I got a peak and my periods felt more back to normal. Then it worked for me- good luck and hope you get your peak soon

reallygrumpy · 03/09/2010 00:21

Hello, just popping in to say big hugs to those of you having rotten days, it's so tough being on this emotional rollercoaster, not knowing where it will end and trying to carry on with normal life too.

I'm having private treatment at the mo (clomid for pcos) which is cheaper than IVF but still £££ and I'm glad I've gone down this route because my consultant is great. If you do choose the private route, make sure you check out the clinics stats, there's huge variation.

Take care all

barrenbrook · 03/09/2010 05:42

tigger and hairy sorry you've both had a big kick in the teeth, wish there was something I could do to help. Sending you both lots of love. X

PinkFondantFancy · 03/09/2010 07:46

Hey tigger jolls and hairy sorry you had such a horrible day yesterday :( here's hoping that something really nice happens to you all today to make what you're going through that little bit less distressing. Big hugs xx

wiggly the sunflowers look gorgeous :)

freezing sorry we won't hear from you much, hopefully see you again soon. Joe the building work goes smoothly! will you have a shiny new extended house in time for Christmas?

Big wave to you all, hope you all have a good day. It's friiiiiiiidayyyyyyyyy! :)

pinkie08 · 03/09/2010 08:34

Morning all,

Tigger i am sorry for your news i was given those results with ds and went with option 3. I think the whole thing is a roller coaster and since this natural mc i have been following marilyn glenville's book. Natural solutions to infertility and mc. Dont know if it will work for me but do know someone it worked twice for.Smile

shitforbrains · 03/09/2010 08:34

Hello Ladies

Please can I come and play?
I had a MMC (found out on Sunday) and had an ERPC Wednesday. Been horrible but I figured at least on this thread everyone knew how I felt!

Obviously I am not quite ready for DH to dunk his dipstick just yet but we are keen to try again as soon as we can, so I just wanted to say hello :)

MamaPower · 03/09/2010 09:01

jolls just to let you know I was thinking of you when I woke up this morning and hoping today is a better one for you my love. Hugs for you and hairy.

Hi sfb sorry about ur mc and welcome.

pink Tuesday is good, and izzy me and you next sat, let's hope the ole af doesn't get us first!

Have a good day all x

DachshundsRule · 03/09/2010 09:27

sfb really sorry to hear about your mmc - I was on the March thread with you (poster formerly known as Harriet75C). This is a great thread. Here - have the basic supplies

VivClicquot · 03/09/2010 09:48

Just a quickie to say I'm sending loads of love to tigger, jolls and hairy x

tigger - the salmonella death has been big news here. It was an elderly lady who died after eating at a family wedding in Bury.

hairytriangle · 03/09/2010 10:08

SfB loving your name and your allusion to 'dipstick' Grin

Sorry for your loss you are among friends who do understand here.

And thank you all - you are all everso lovely :)

shitforbrains · 03/09/2010 11:12

ahh Harriet hello!

Yes been a shitty few days. I didn't want to go on MC threads as I am ok - I'm dealing with it - and I didn't want to go on a TTC thread as I actually can't yet! Have to wait a while. But we DO want to TTC again when we can and this looked like the best place for me to hang out for a bit :)

BackOnceAgain · 03/09/2010 11:12

Waves hello back to FMAO

Tigger Jolls and hairy so sorry everything feels so utterly shit for you. I know what a rollercoaster it can be from last time (well the time before mc, took 15m to get ds) Sad

SFB sorry for your loss and welcome, I am a newbie too, waiting for my next cycle after ERPC to TTC. Its a lovely comfy place to wait, they have great chocolate, soft cushions, wine and flowers here not to mention the great company Smile (dipstick=chortle)

Hairy ahhhh thanks for RTD explanation, still a fair few acronyms I can't work out Confused

shitforbrains · 03/09/2010 11:28

ooh BOA you really are only a few days before me.

Seems nice - too many new acronyms for me though! I'll just ignore them and pretend I know what you are talking about Grin
