LL I don't think you'll have done yourself any harm having too much Folic Acid. I read somewhere once that, along with vit E, the body can take/needs lots at different times so I'm sure your body will pass through anything it doesn't need. I would keep taking the two things togther over a long period though.

Well i have stopped taking the two, i'm just going to continue with the multi vits!

Is there anything else i shud be taking or that you recommend?

LL- Saw your post. Shoulkd'nt be too much of a prob providing you stopped now. After all, if you eat mega healthy and took multi-vits, surely you'd be "od'ing" so to speak? Me atm am taking folic acid (have been since 1st Jan) and multi-vits.

I just take pregnacare (sp?) Cause it saves me thinking about save doses of stuff if I do get pg, cause it's safe all the way through. You should make your DH take Zinc apparently, but I've failed to even get a mulitvit down mine yet!

I'm not sure about Agnus Castus that was mentioned earlier. It might be a good idea for us as we have long and irregular cycles, but I'm unsure of taking something that messes with my hormone balance before I know whats wrong with it in the first place, if that makes sense!

I think i will just go n get some pregnacare and be donw with it! I wont have to worry then! I have actullya been getting DP to take Zinc, bless him he's not too thrilled about it but he said if it helps, it helps! what is it supposed to do anyway?

Sorry LL, didn't mean to ignore your question, was over excited at my news

I was told I was folate deficient just before I fell PG the last time, and was prescribed 5mg of folic acid. When I fell PG I asked if this was too high a dose (usual dose for pregnancy 400mcg). Was told that you can't overdose on folic acid as such, you just pee out what your body doesn't need. So i continued withthe high dose. Has crossed my mind that it mght have caused the MC, but MW doesn't seem to think so.

Just so pleased Can you tell??? Means things will be straight forward if I do go on to have another baby, and I will be able to give birth at local birthing centre instead of travelling 25 miles to big mat unit.

And you're right Strike1 - its the most welcome AF ever. I've mad her up a bed, she'll have 5 star treatment whilst she's here, brekkie in bed, posh nosh every day. Will make this visit the best (usually i make her sleep in the shed and only give her bread and water!)

LOL! DH recorded a "Most Relaxing Music" cd for to play whilst in labour and he didn't realise it had Tubular Bells on it! Half way through 1 stage labour it came on and I shouted "I'm not giving birth to that song!". MW assured me that baby would be born before tape had played right through to that song again.... But, no, DS2 popped out right in the middle of it. I was horrified! Thought DS2 would be possessed and start vomming mushy peas, or somehting!!

Not the best idea he had ever had!! Bless 'im! he meant well. Recorded my own for DS3 arrival (not that i got to hear it. He arrived in just 39 mins )
