Morning ladies

Don't know what to read into that Coathanger but all I would say is that you are both as mad and funny as each other

nicmum2boys-last month I was obsessed with TTC and everything was timed to perfection rather than spontaneous so this month I am 'pretending' that it doesn't matter so I'm hoping to relax a bit. Good luck hun!

Hugs to everyone else. I've bought a new phone an Ericsson K700i but can't get the top up by debit card bit to work so off on the Vodafone website to check it out.

Catch y'all later!

Coathanger · 07/09/2005 08:49

Oh, goody people to talk to!

I have never used OV kits. The 3 kids I already have were all surprises. But depending on what decision DH and I make about trying again, I might use them. I know my cycle pretty well and am 99.9% sure I ov at roughtly the same time each month, so hopefully it won't be a problem. But we'll see...

When I say kids were surprises, I don't mean "accidents"! DS1 was conceived on clomid after being told it was highly unlikely that I would ever had kids, so that was a shock. DS2 was conceived when DS1 was 5 months old. After waiting 3 years to fall PG the first time I wasn't going to leave it too long to try again, so me and DH decided to let nature take its course. DS3 was conceived even though I hadn't had a period for 2 years! SO, he was a massive shock - I didn't even know I was OVing. Must have got lucky the first month I did ov.

Well, enough about my life story... yawn yawn! bored you all rigid now haven't I?

Coathanger · 07/09/2005 08:52

Arrrgghhh! SORRY,SORRY,SORRY!!!!! That was really insensitive of me. I wasn't bragging that I fell PG easily, just mentioning that I have never had to use OV kits. I'm SO SORRY i didn't mean to offend. Trust me to put my stoopid foot in it. Where's that spade gone ... ...

HumphreysCorner · 07/09/2005 08:58

STUPID Vodafone website out of action due to a temporary fault-blah!!! Well, at least it's not my phone.

Coathanger-we never offend each other on here as we talk openly from the heart-aah! ((xx))

Right-ironing to do then off out shopping for food and bits.

Byee
xx

Coathanger · 07/09/2005 09:27

I'm off out for the morning so will catch up with you all later xxx

Lottielou · 07/09/2005 09:50

Morning All!
Hope everyone is ok today?
I had my Ov tests and PG tests come y'day that i got from e-bay. Am kinda reserved in using them now as have noticed no-one has had much luck with them!
How does it work if your cycle is soooo irregular? May just give them a whirl anyway! Oh i dont know!
Feeling quite a bit better today, pains have subsided a little just keep feeling kinda smwiimy and dizzy! Haven't really got much of an appetite either, thinking that that may be why i'm feeling icky, not enough nutrients!
Folic Acid, is it really bad if you take too much of it? For bout 3-4 days i doubled up on the recomended does, i didn;t realise some new vitamins that i got had the folic acid in so i was taking them aswel! Is that really bad?
What vitamins is everyone else taking?

CH - Catch you later then, have a good moring!

Will catch up on last nights posts later! x

nicmum2boys · 07/09/2005 09:58

Morning all.
Ch- You're a nuter darlin but we love ya! P.s A very pretty nutter I might add loved the pic! Was in fits at the joke too.
How's everyone?
Nic- Not testing for another week or so, going to see whether or not af shows.

wishingchair · 07/09/2005 11:37

Morning - Apologies now - pointless hormonal rant ahead). Bloody bloody hell. Have got back ache and just feel really emotional so that must mean af is on it's way. Am so f***g pissed off. We bd'd sooooo much this month and it hasn't bloody well worked (I don't think). I know that's only 3 months in total of ttc but next month dh and me are travelling so much we're going to be like ships passing in the night. And then we're into Oct and that's when I conceived my little one and I really didn't want the timings to correlate. Talked to dh (well - I blubbed) last night and he said if it was around the same due date would you be upset or would you just be delighted to be pg. And of course the answer is the latter. But I want to be pg now now NOW!!!! And am dreading the weekend as am seeing friends who are a month away from their second being born. Last time I saw them was when I was about 18 weeks pg oblivious my baby had died, and she had just discovered she was pg. And her dh is like a bull in a china shop - just know he'll say something insensitive.

Silly worry but what if that was my only chance and it'll never happen to me again?

strike1 · 07/09/2005 11:44

Wishingchair, I know exactly how you feel. Me and DH went mad at it this month and I'm getting af symptoms and it's just not fair!!!!! When are you due on? I'm due friday and have had a couple of bfp's already so I'm not holding out much hope. It gets more frustrating with every passing month doesn't it. Friends have mine have just had there first and they're already talking about trying for number 2. I just know she'll have got pg and had baby 2 before I've even got number 1

Is there no chance of grabbing DH at the right time next month?

Mojomummy · 07/09/2005 11:48

HI Wishingchair - I thought I had terrible PMT, but it turned out I was pg - so you never know.
Sadly I miscarriaged. Still I have a lovely dd who was 2 in June. We planned out next baby for March 2006 & thought we'd got the age gap just right. I know EXACTLY how you feel about timings, so it must be normal .
I'm just trying to convince myself that despite not wanting another June baby (hot/fat/breastfeeding/big boobs/big bras etc) I'd now LOVE a June baby or even a July/August which I used to think were the worst months to be born.

Also in a similar postition where other friends are newly pregnant..I hate them not really of course, but it is a bit tough. Not sure what to suggest, other than maybe cancelling them, or if anyone asks about you, say something like you're not sure you want another one, just to take the heat off ?

Mojomummy · 07/09/2005 11:52

Someone asked me about Agnus Castus the other day - I've lost track of who it was though..
Anyway Agnus Castus explanation to follow.... The berries of this plant have a range of medicinal actions but possibly the most important is its ability to rectify hormonal imbalances caused by an excess of oestrogen and an insufficiency of progesterone. It acts upon the pituitary gland, reducing the production of certain hormones and increasing the production of others, shifting the balance in favour of the gestagens. Thus it has a wide application of uses in malfunctions of the feminine reproductive system and has been used with great effect in restoring absent menstruation, regulating heavy periods, restoring fertility when this is caused by hormonal imbalance, relieving pre-menstrual tension and easing the change of the menopause. Some caution is advised since excessive doses can cause a nervous disorder known as formication, which manifests as a sensation of insects crawling over the skin.

The berries are considered to be an aphrodisiac, though other reports say that they are anaphrodisiac. The reason for this apparent disagreement is that the berries have a regulating effect on the body and so are likely to increase sexual activity in those who are not very active in this area whilst reducing it in those who are very active.

I ovo'd 14 days after my ERCP & after 21 days I'm having a period...not sure if this is good or not, but it beats waiting around. (I also had a rather fantastic orgasm the other day I wonder if this had anything to do with it !!

Lottielou · 07/09/2005 12:03

Wishing Chair - So sorry you feelinig low today hun! {{{Big Hugs}}} Try (i know it's hard) and relax, all this stress will not do you any good hun and there is still a chance that you could be right? I know all this BD'ing and waiting around is a nightmare, i nearly gave up a while ago, I cudn't take it anymore! i had to give MN a break as i was starting to obsess over TTC and thats not healthy. I came back with a laid back attitude, I was on cd 40 and experiencing some PG symptoms! I thought that i will wait until my longest AF of cd 45 to test. I resisted but then AF came on Saturday. Only to find out that i actually it wasn't ( not 100% confirmed as cudn't face testing but went to docs) but an early M/C. i am just stopping bleeding now! I have tried ot count it as an AF i dont want to grieve for a baby i never knew i had! (iykwim?)
It's so hard and i juat want to lock myself away in a room with DP and not come out until i am ready to give birth! Nut we have to carry on! Our time will come! I know it's so hard but we need to try and stay positive huni! I feel for you i really do! Please but a smile on that lovely face xxxxxx

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 07/09/2005 12:09

nicnumto2boys

I used ov sticks of ebay all last month and did not get a positive. The month before i used shop bought, more expensive ones and got a result. This month I am not using them and just going to bd every other day from 10-20 {grin]

If you have other signs,i.e cm then just go for it.I dont think they work!!

Good luck hun!!

Lottielou · 07/09/2005 12:12

sorry to cut in..But that confirms it then CP am binning them tonight! What are the best shop bought ones?

Did anyone not see me earlier post about Folic Acid and Vits???

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 07/09/2005 12:35

I have only used sainsburys 5 for £10.00

I got a result with them

Mojomummy · 07/09/2005 13:02

HI lottie lou, did you buy the strips or the cassettes or the mid stream ones ? I used the strip ones, but tested at the wrong time ie first thing in the am. I know I ovo'd cos persona told me ! I used some midstream ones which I think I paid £19 for 20 + 2 pregnancy testsfrom simply fertility on e-bay. They worked, well I got one positive which I think was luck as I tested first thing. Now I know to test about mid-day & have just got AF so fingers crossed for next month.

wishingchair · 07/09/2005 13:28

Hi all - thanks for your nice words. So good to know I can tell you all my worries and you just respond with no awkwardness or judgment - love you! I know what you mean about I don't know for definite it hasn't worked ... last time I conceived I remember saying to DH "I wish af would just arrive, I'm so sick of this back and tummy ache" and lo and behold I was pg. So am still hoping, but not convinced.

Lottielou - I understand exactly what you mean. There's so much more emotion to deal with if you think of it as a m/c rather than a late af. However you classify it, it's already (so sadly) happened ... I think I'd try to do the same in your shoes.

Anyway, better get on so have a fun afternoon all of you!

Lottielou · 07/09/2005 13:37

Mojo - I bought the cassette ones. i haven't used OV tests before so am new to them. I did read that it was best to test around mid-day so i guess i will give it a shot when the time is right! Thanks x

Mojomummy · 07/09/2005 13:59

good luck - I'll be interested to know how you get on with them especially if you have one or two days of positives.

Have you been on fertilyfriend.com ? I tried to do my chart, but I think I'm one of the odd ones who ovo's day 11/12 with a 28 day cycle...anything to help with making a baby !

Coathanger · 07/09/2005 14:40

Helloo! I'm Back!

GREAT BIG FAT {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you all today. you all seem to be little low

Wish - the symptoms you are getting might be good ones. I really didn;t thnk I was pregnant with any of mine coz I had normal PM symptoms. There is still hope. When is AF due?

LL - I'm glad the physical things are settling down for you. Thinking of you , Hun.

And HOW-DEEE to everyone else too. Hope you all aren't too hot - Phew its a scorcher here!!!

I have 2, yes 2, lots of positive news from the wardrobe (!) -

  1. AF is here!!!!! YIPPER-DEE-DOO-DA-DAY!!!! Great relief, I can tell ya!

  2. Just got antibody screening test back from docs (because I'm Rh-neg and Hosp didn't offer me Anti-D after MC, long story...) ITS NEGATIVE!! YIPPER-DEE-DOO-DA-DAY again!!! Got to have a follow up test, but its good news for me!

Lottielou · 07/09/2005 14:50

CH - Fantastic news for you hun! Wooohooo
Do you know much bout Folic Acid, my question i posted earlier seems to have been missed?
Where have you been today anyway? Missed ur craziness! x

wishingchair · 07/09/2005 14:55

Fantastic news coathanger - so happy for you!!!

My af is due next Tuesday ... well that would be 28 days but I'm usually 26/27 day cycle so over the weekend really. So in theory I could test with my first response pg test, but I know if it's -ve all I'll be thinking is that it's just cos it's too early. So am going to resist. Will try to calm down and go with the flow
