whywait, have just looked and due date would be 22 May 2011. Shock (= 2 weeks after other "best friends" wedding, 250 miles away... hmm interesting)

have just been to see OH at work and he has clearly been thinking about it all morning Shock... he asked me my due date and i didnt know Blush (not even crossed my mind until now)
Told him that i really didnt want to be pg yet cause i wanna drink at the wedding and he was shocked at my reason lol.
I can tell by the look on his face, the questions he asked, and what he was saying that he really wants me to be pg. Smile
Asked me when i can test, so i told him my birthday, and he was like... yes but we can try to test a bit earlier, i was trying to explain not much point, but he is desperate to get some super early pg tests and test before my birthday. bless him.
I love him so much! LOL

nannyl WOW! You could be pregnant already! How exiting- you might be glad you were super organised and already have the nursery done! Thanks for all the insider info on pushchairs/systems- my friend has got the Quinny 3 wheeler one and it is good but massive even when folded, it fits in their mondeo boot but any smaller and you would struggle.

Au revoir and good luck fluffy!

hope you are feeling better bebe!

bebejones · 01/09/2010 20:37

Can't believe we are in to September. I'm working up the nerve to talk to DH on Friday Hmm He isn't having a good work week so don't like my chances! I'm feeling better today but so tired, been very busy!

Ooooh Nannyl, how exciting & terrifying at the same time!

I would second the whole travel system thing. Our cheapy Graco one is horrid (it was all we could afford at the time) the car seat part is good but the buggy is so cumbersome & heavy. My DD is small (10kg at 2 years) and it is really difficult to manouvere it with her in now! I'm hoping to get this one with the maxi cosi pebble seat for the car & short trips up to Tesco for the next one. I'll get the seat unit for this which can be used as a pram so LO can lie flat. Although that being said DD was sat up & in her car seat & rocker alot & it hasn't done her any harm! It is the only big thing we have to get so am saving for it!

brettgirl2 · 01/09/2010 21:04

Hehe NannyL!

In terms of travel systems - the concept of having the same one from birth to three years is not realistic I don't think. I now just have a cheap buggy that I can stick over my shoulder when DD decides to walk.

I might not be leaving the bus stop as early as anticipated - my recurring thrush seems to have returned Blush sorry if TMI. Other than the obvious problems with getting pregnant I really want to feel healthy at the start. Therefore am intending to try the acupuncture route to try and balance the old chi first! I think it may be a good idea because it can also be used to treat MS and SPD!

bebejones · 02/09/2010 08:41

Brett - I'm the same, just have a little Maclaren buggy that we take out with us now. Thinking about getting another one so I can keep one in house & one in car! (I don't have off road parking & my car is parked round the corner from my house so it's a PITA carrying too much to car!)

Sorry you are poorly again, hope the acupuncture works!

Having really vivid baby dreams again at the moment :( Think it's coz my friend is having her baby next week, am very excited! Seeing her Friday so our DDs can play together then the next time I see her she'll have another one!!! :o Can't wait to go & buy some newborn stuff!

hey everyone ive tried to catch up with wot i cud

Nannyl- how exciting i felt exactly that way when i was pregant with first really saw boobs and stuff straight away prob 2 wks b4 i tested, i keep imagining that im pregant again now even tho im on the pill think i want one that bad im imagining it lol, but u neva know hehe

bretgirl. bebe- im the same i used to use my silver cross to go everywhere when dd was small but now we just have 2 small buggies i do wot u want to do bebe keep one in the house and one in the car this wasnt intentional tho we had to buy a 2nd pram on holiday in april when r one broke on plane, it then got repaired once home tho
i loved my silver cross it was just so big and heavy to put in and out of cars and i only have a small boot so had to put half on back seat and half in boot lol, i didnt think of that when we bought it

hope u feel better soon bretgirl

sorry havnt been around much just seem to be having a carzy few weeks with trying to get holiday and mortgage sorted and desperately trying to sort finances :( thinking i wuld be financially better of with another baby for 9 months atleast anyway then wouldnt have to be paying out over 300pound in childcare goin to have to see if family can help out one day a week to save money

nannyl · 02/09/2010 13:03

Hello all
just a quick post as im 'back to school' ie have a staff meeting in an hour Sad 7 weeks off have finished.

oh well

brett and bebe hope you feel better

I dont feel sick any more (stopped around 3pm yesturday) and my boobs are "sensitive" as opposed to positivley painful...

not sure if thats good or bad? or symptoms of being pregnant? or not pregnant?

guess ill find out in a week or so...

jbells hope you find some childcare... im always amazed how expensive it is and how anyone affords it tbh!

should be on later, probably!!! if not i have a manic weekend (parents up to visit) so might not get a chance to post until monday.

brettgirl2 · 02/09/2010 14:04

It's impossible to say Nannyl - when I was pregnant the symptoms altered from day to day. I also think that everyone's symptoms are completely different. I think it's sensible not to test too soon - you are right and DH is wrong!

jbells my mum has my daughter once a week - it works really well for us. The cost of it is outrageous and even more so if I have 2 under school age Shock!

Well, I have acupuncture appointment on Sunday and rather feel I am going to be put onto some sort of 'regime'. Will have to consume plenty of wine in the next couple of days Grin It makes me feel a bit guilty though - I will end up taking much more care of myself this time that with my first.

Hi whywait- I'm not an expert but I think early PG testing is not recommended for two reasons-

The levels of hCG are not high enough yet so you would probably get a false negative (and waste £7!)

Very early MCs are relatively common so it would be upsetting to do a positive test then get your period a bit late and realise that you had a very early MC (or implantation failure) rather than just a longer cycle I think?

Hope everyone is feeling better- I had horrible cystitis this week as well so I think we should have a virtual day at the spa to cheer ourselves up! :)

AttenboroughFan · 03/09/2010 10:12

Morning all, I'm definitely up for a virtual spa day, thanks strawberry! Last day of the hols for me, back to work after 6 weeks off on Monday and I'm dreading it! I'm MNetting when I'm supposed to be writing a scheme of work for yr8 Blush
I'll just have a quick smoothie and flick through a glossy mag then I'll be off, honest Grin

jbells · 03/09/2010 10:38

morning all

Brettgirl- i wish my mum cud hav dd but she works full time :( im going to def drop her to one day at nursery a week still will cost bout 160 a month and c if my bro and nan can look afta her on the other day, only prob is my brother is 21 and not the most capable person with a toddler in the world but im sure afta a few wks he will be ok, and my nan is getting old and struggles with lifting etc plus dd is by no means a lightweight last time i had her weighed she was 12.5kg always bin really big for her age

bebe- hope u had a nice time shopping

whywait- thats good news that your dp wants to ttc sooner :) can he hav a chat to my dp lol
nannyl- hope all the kids behave for you :)

attenborough, strawberry- i will join u on the spa day cud really do with one of those

Well i am now officially of work for 2 weeks and the biz is having a shut down for that time :) going to have 2 days next wk and 2 days the wk afta all to myself as dd will be at nusery wont know wot to do with myself, any ideas? need to be cheap ideas as saving for house

Oooh yes, spa day sounds fab!

Feeling really low, hate Fridays!!

Strawberry - hope you feel better soon

JBells - def take bro up on free childcare!
I never get any 'child free' days so have no suggestions on stuff to do! Confused I'd probably just end up lounging around in bed all day.....bliss! :o

Whywait - we had planned not to tell anyone til after 12wk scan...didn't work! I was so sick & signed off work that we had to tell some people! Parents/DHs siblings. Had sworn all family to secrecy (oh and my maid of honour knew at our wedding (6weeks pg) as I needed someone to pass my drinks to!) but they all have big gobs so when we went to tell people after scan, most people already knew! Angry I tested really early (bout 2 days before AF due) coz I just knew I was PG. Was really bad knowing so early, GP was quite negative about MC. You don't generally get to see a MW until 10wks so knowing early meant it just all seemed to take longer IYSWIM?

Had a long chat with my mum on phone about TTC earlier. She is very much on 'my side', to be expected really. But she agrees that my reasons make sense. I desperately do not want DD to be an only child. I hated being an only child. :( Might try bringing it up again tonight, don't hold out much hope as DH has had a crap week at work! I think the whole situation with his sis and her LO is putting him off DC#2 as well :(

WW - I do really need to talk to him, he has had a really shit day though & just know he won't want to listen! I have made him cake though to try & butter him up a bit! :o My mum agrees with me that financially we will be no worse off with another baby. They cost next to nothing for the first 6 months will even look in to reusuable nappies this time round!

When it comes to testing I will leave it as late as I can next time. Unless you have problems you don't get any medical attention because you know earlier so just makes sense to me to wait as long as you can! Of course when the time I comes I'll be desperate to POAS! :o

OP posts:
jbells · 03/09/2010 18:07

thanks for comments i will def take him up on childcare when i can, altho i know ill spend the first few wks ringin him every hour to c how hes getting on cant afford the 2 days tho once we get mortgage

on plus side mortgage was accepted today and ive managed to save us 85 pound on wot finacial advisor said, so helps with the we cant afford another baby speech from dp

bebe i really know how u feel i am in the exact same boat, altho mum does always side with me she also thinks im crazy having another one even tho she had 3 lol

whywait i also knew i was pregant at 4 wks and it did seem like a really long wait till it was confirmed by scan at ten wks :( but i probably couldnt wait to test like bebe i just kinda knew i was pregnant even tho we went trying, also my mum found out straight away bcos i left a midwife card by the fone lol, but i wudnt of bin able to keep it from her anyway she reads me like a book

jbells · 03/09/2010 18:23

oh and i have never had a day of without my dd either and now if shes away from me i just cant wait to have her with me even tho i know it helps to have a bit of time for yourself so i am going to try and do something nice on the 2 days shes at nursery next wk rather than just tidy the house hopefully the weather will be nice and i can take whywait up on the idea on some relaxed window shopping round town cant remember the last time i cud just browse round shops without dd to try and keep amused and pushing a big pram :)

bebejones · 03/09/2010 18:35

JBells - so know what you mean! When my MIL has had DD for an hour or so I'm always desperate to go & get her back! Miss her so much even though she drives me nutty! :o

OP posts:
jbells · 03/09/2010 19:13

i know i moan that i need a few hours to myself all the time and the very rare occasion that anyone has her for a couple of hours i spend the whole time wanting her back and end up getting her early even tho she is exhausting running round afta her constantly, whereas some people i know have happily left there lil ones with grandparents for days at a time and dont seem to worry, oh forgot to mention DD said her first word the other day...quick...

bebejones · 03/09/2010 19:32

Aaah, that's so cute! My DDs first word was Daddy! :( I was so miffed!!! No one has ever had DD overnight, I'd be too scared to leave her overnight! ILs have offered, but I just don't feel comfortable with the idea!

OP posts:
jbells · 03/09/2010 19:40

no my dd hasnt stayed out either think bcos im not used to her ever leaving me it wud feel really strange , mite have to let her out with granparents tho if i get my way and have another one mite need the break more when there r 2 :( shes said quick a few times now but when i try and get her to say it nothing lol, she just talks away in her own language all day lol

bebejones · 04/09/2010 10:03

JBells - they never do it when you want them to! :o

I chickened out of talking to DH again Confused I will try over the weekend...promise! :o Have only 'potentially' got 3 jabs left, time is running out!
