Hello!
First things first- I weighed myself at my parents' this week which I hadn't done since before being pregnant.. 12st3 I was 10st7 before! They have a super accurate digital scale too so can't even pretend it's broken
Some is coming off just from walking though thankfully - I managed to squeeze (and I mean SQUEEZE, tummy hanging over ) into a skirt yesterday that didn't fit 2 weeks ago. My best friend is 27 weeks pregnant and we are swapping clothes- I'm giving her my maternity stuff and she's giving me what she can't fit into anymore
I'm eating ridiculous amounts of fruit at the moment anyway in my endless quest for easy trips to the toilet (TMI alert - yes the piles are still there; lovely. Dh thinks I'm a real romantic right now as I update him on my bowel movements every day!! Haha!)
Well done to Vjay and Neeko and others working hard! Really hoping it pays off for you all. I giggle to myself every time I read 'no point soup'- is it because there's no point to it without the dripping hunk of bread Oh and loved the email Neeko!
Neeko well done to H on the rolling! No more leaving her on the sofa then (not that I'm a bad mummy who does that to Jude ) fab that you and blue had such a good time and I second (or third?) the maxi dress idea. I wore one for BIL's wedding and covers up everything a treat! Is also dressy without being too dressy. Mine had an elasticated top part so just pulled one side down to feed J and covered him with a pashmina. Mine was from New Look they have a lovely selection & reasonably priced.
QA So sorry it looks like you can't ttc before your edd I know I was desperate to be pg again before mine so that must be hard. Although, a few ladies on this thread have got their BFP straight after their edd so you never know! Were you going away somewhere nice? Hope you have been able to relax.
jools mega chilled not knowing CD good for you. And yay for all the mentions of Wales in the last week
monkey hope you had a nice time back in UK
MLS I too was reading your post about girly times with dd. I second blue that little boys are divine but would love a dd someday (if the thought of giving birth again ever stops terrifying me! )
Yes the whole bb task was genius; the Santa thing was inspired
mermaid LOL at 'weird penchant for pink'. Hope your ds enjoyed Toy Story.
4ever yowser to the prolapse I'm now mega paranoid I have it too. GP didn't even check my fanjo at 6 week check which I was quite surprised at after my awful epi. Think I'll ask her to on Thurs at Jude's 8 wk check. Really hope you're feeling ok. From what I've read online it seems many women have more babies with it and then sort it out after. Hope the jabs were ok for poor little biscuit.
louey another fellow thumbsucker when I was about 10 my dentist said I'd have to have a brace but actually my jaw ended up realigning itself (or something ) when I stopped so I didn't need one. My teeth stick out a tiny bit but not rabbity or anything thanks for the advice re holiday - we are def gonna go in late September to South of France. Also re cycle lengths- what you thought was af on day 19 could actually be a breakthrough bleed in which case you might have ovulated straight after it. You should def chart so MLS and I can nose at it things are a bit clearer.
barbie EEK to Dolly's new sleeping regime! Hope it is teething so it doesn't carry on longer than necessary!
There's a show on C4 (do you get British TV?) on Tues (I think) about sleep problems that might have some good tips. You should look into cranial osteopathy if it carries on too. Friends had 6 mth old waking every hour and that sorted him right out straight away
annie can't believe little E is trying to walk already; seems like yesterday I was sat on the bus and received the little picture text of him at just one day old- aw! Hope being back at work is ok.
iggy just massive congrats again to you Hope you are just soaking up these first precious few days. In a couple of weeks you'll look at photos of iggypiglet in the hospital and wonder who on earth that baby is cos they change so quickly! Well done on a positive birth experience; so sorry the end wasn't what you wanted- sounds similar to us (except I wasn't as chilled as you beforehand ) with the forceps and possible em-cs. Did you have an episiotomy then?
(By the way MLS I think iggy did a hypnobirthing course so won't just be the stuff on the CD...but the CD is v good for relaxing & I did actually remember to use some of the breathing during my labour!)
sabs so sorry about your dh's uncle. Hope you are all ok.
curly how was your time way? Hope your parents loved pending time with curlygirl (how could they not?)
PFJ still thinking of you lots. Do drop in and let us know you're ok.
Moon so to read about you feeling you have lost yourself. I promise you you are still in there honey, just shifted a little. I was just looking at our list and how many babies there now are- proof that dreams DO come true. I remember 9 of these ladies being on the small pants bench not even a year and a half ago and in another year and a half I will be saying the same thing about many more of us
hello to all those I have not mentioned; sorry if I've missed something vital
As for me - last night Jude slept 10pm-7am! I woke at 7 (with rock hard boobs ) and had to check he was breathing! The cutie was just lying there sucking his thumb, still not even crying to be fed
I then woke dh to tell him how long J had slept (cos he never notices how many times I get up in the night anyway!) - don't think he was v impressed by that wake up call!! We'll see if it lasts but it was very lovely even if it is a one off!
Right, this is a majorly long ramble so I think I will go now and sample what dh is baking- some kind of dried fruit and seed bars so I will pretend they are healthy
