VJay · 28/07/2010 20:01

Hi mermaid i have the same problem with the word 'exercise', so between us we do a good job

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 28/07/2010 20:14

ok I'll do the running round like a hamster on a wheel and you eat the no points soup - mind you I bet that ironing uses up loads of calories, try doing some up on tip toes toning claf excersises at the same time!

BlueMoon1981 · 28/07/2010 20:51

just marking my place in the greenhouse, when i saw we ran out of thread and there was no link i was and thought oh no how will i find them. barbie was sensible with her detective skills, i typed in emmsys into the search box and found thousands of threads

cant stop but hello and hugs to everyone, and sorry to hear about your dhs uncle sabs hope you are all holding up ok. love jools story about the nice lady with wine, there are nice people out there, just few and far between these days. thats cuz we are all in here right

CurlyBigPants · 28/07/2010 21:52

Aw moon you are lovely. I've missed you lots

Mermaid today I ate toast for breakfast, a sausage sandwich for lunch and a quiche for dinner, but... I did some ironing this evening so I guess that's me sorted

Sorry to hear about your dh's uncle sabs. Hope the long journey goes well with that gorgeous little girl of yours x

Well I know I'm rubbish but I'm off to my parents for the next 10 days to give them some quality time with curlygirl so I figure I will put off catching up till I get back. Naughty Curly But I am loving the chat, especially from our Scottish ladies. Makes me want to go up there and meet you all!!

Still snorting over mls ladybeard

Big hugs to our new mum iggy and to any of you wonderful girls who needs one, especially those chasing that bfp xxx

loueytbg · 28/07/2010 22:47

Hi Moon glad you found us. I just go into conception and find the next emmsys thread when we move.

sabs sorry to hear about DH's uncle and about horrid car journeys. Definitely put her fave cds in the car. My two are pretty good car passengers but when things get too much DS2 requests girls aloud (I played it a lot when I was pg with them and it seems to soothe them). I really must get them onto some different music as we are all getting well and truly bored with it.....

Curly have a lovely time at your parents. Lots of rest and relaxation for you.

mermaid ironing burns no calories for me. It drives me to drink Agree that boys are v cuddly, at least mine are. And they slam put the toilet seat down. Not sure how long it will last though. Am not looking forward to them weeing standing up as I will then have 3 men who won't be able to aim [roll eyes emoticon]

lbm hope babyJ is just having a blip. Its about time you had some respite I think x

jools how lovely of the lady next to you. You do get to some exotic places....I'm with you on period pains - mine were hideous this week and that was only on a cycle of 18 days - how does that work??? Hoping that things improve for you very soon. Are you off on holiday soon???

Neeko sounds like you've had a very lovely day. And I'm sure M will be having a nice time at her grans.

barbie pureed sweet potato - yum. Just wait until you get onto carrot. Stains like a bugger but at least you have lots of sun in dubai to bleach out the stains We were given babybanz but could never get them to keep them on. They are v cute though.

vjay how was your day - did you manage to resist the biscuits? Am a bit that you are going to not just 1 but 2 weddings and will have no kids to restrain you. I know it will be tough to leave Ajay but I'm sure he will be fine. They play up way more for their parents than anyone else...

blue so glad you had a lovely time with neeko

4ever I'm sorry about the prolapse. I can't offer any useful advice except maybe it is worth you posting in one of the other MN forums? Its good that its not causing you too many problems at the moment. How is S after the jabs?

monkey I'm in NW London so unfortunately nowhere near your acu person - but thanks for thinking of me . Glad you have had a nice day visting your old haunts. I love going on old trains.

mls hope you are having an early night.

Am v tired and more than a bit grumpy. DH is away in Frankfurt for the rest of the week. I really need to go for a run to get rid of some of my grumpiness but won't be able to until at least Friday night. Have found a potential acu person but until DH is back can't do anything about it. Am drinking too much white wine to console myself

Thought I would put the roll call on the thread before we lost it.

4ever I don't think I appreciated how big summer was - no wonder you have fanjo problems

bluesatinsash · 28/07/2010 23:03

Hi gals,

Well I stepped into my kitchen at 8.30pm tonight and have just emerged . One freezer full of ice cube trays full of fruit, veg, fish and chicken dishes. It nearly bloody killed me doing it all in a oner but we're off tomorrow for long weekend and I needed more Ben food to take with us.

...and relax.

louey - can empathise with your need to run. I've not made it to the gym this week and feel edgy and uptight. Although I only manage a measly once a week just now, that hour plugged into my i-pod is a sanctuary.

sabs - so sorry hun about your DH's uncle. I share your pain re: low boredom threshold babies in cars . Ben is terrible and we're having to factor in three stops before we get to Ashton tomorrow in a trip we can normally do in a oner or at the very most one stop. He's at that tricky age of being too big and bored for his rear facing car seat but not heavy enough for fwd facing. He's only 3olbs off it! louey - he's a bit too young for GA but I could play him my maternity tunes playlist as he heard it often enough at the tail end of my pg and the night he was born .

barbie and MLS thanks for those links for the spoons and masher. You can get the yellow masher spoon in Boots but I hand't seen the other one. Hope the sweet potato goes down a treat with D tomorrow, cover yourself up and hide Freddie before you sit down OK?

Vjay and mermaid - at you splitting the hard work of dieting/excercise. mermaid get some of your watercrss soup down you and Vjay go out for a power walk with the boys tomorrow .

Neeko - I was knackered last night after our day out . All that walking up to John Lewis must have burned some calories . Clever H for rolling over. How was the minister, did you give him more tea ?

curly enjoy your 10 days showing curlygirl off.

4ever - how was S today?

Jools - hope you weren't drunk at your work - hic! I have period this week too and its a killer again.

moon - hey you! Glad you found your way over here.

Right that's all folks. Haven't even started packing yet for tomorrow. I'll be lurking on DH's phone over weekend x

loueytbg · 29/07/2010 15:07

Well done blue. I remember all the pureeing, its hard work and messy but its such an achievement when you see all those ice-cube trays filled up with food. Hope you have a good weekend away.

Its very quiet on here today.....

I'm supposed to be working but so far have taken DS1 to an occupational therapy assessment which wiped out the morning and now I'm on here

He did have fun though - lots of spinning on a swing thing which he loves. OT's were a bit about the fact he has been diagnosed with autism as he was v sociable and happy to interact. He is a conundrum my son. No doubt they will come up with something else soon...

Neeko · 29/07/2010 16:01

Hello. M still at Gran's and H napping Minister was lovely, coffe instead of tea though.

Louey Hope you're not drunk on the wine yet or frazzled by the lack of run. It's hard being on your own.

Blue I was knackered too but it was worth it! Have a lovely weekend away.

Curly enjoy your time with your parents and put your feet up whenever possible.

Mermaid Lol at you already thinking about a DIL - there's nothing like creating problems for yourself. You know however well you train DS, it won't be good enough for her don't you?

Vjaydietbuddy Pat on the back for sticking to it. Thanks for your texts to keep me on the straight and narrow. Forgot the tomatoes for my soup today so will have to make it tomorrow instead.

Jools at the wine. Sorry about your meltdown but you're here and posting and that's always a good sign.

Sabs really sorry to hear about your DH's uncle. I agree with CDs. We started with Fisher Price ones but have moved to the dizy heights of Disney.

LBM Hope you got a better night than anticipated. How old is J now?

Hi to QA and Moon Hope you're both ok.

H is 4 months today! She's been super chilled all day too - clearly she'd rather be an only child!

Neeko · 29/07/2010 16:29

Meant to say I need your help with ideas for what to wear to the christening. It has to be slimming (of course) and bf friendly.

VJay · 29/07/2010 18:49

Hi have bought Ajay some cruisers today these ones I did the flexi check barbie thanks for the tip

blue well done on all the pureeing (sp?), you supermum you and have a fabby weekend

louey my ds1 can be very socialable too, sometimes too much though.

OP posts:
MummyLovesSadie · 29/07/2010 19:32

OMG I only got 2!! 17 is loads. Kids are easy to buy for though aren't they, they get more difficult as they get older. I find BIL's are the worst it's always a choice between alcohol, alcohol related paraphernalia or some kind of 'hilarious' book that only ever comes out at Christmas!
